In 1951, she married Marjorie Ruth Bishop, who died in 1974. In 1975, he married Louise Revilla Scheele. He worked as a truck driver at Cross Bakery and later as a carpenter for George Anderson. He was a member of St. Augustine's Church. Survivors include his wife, Louise; a son, Douglas; two daughters, Donna Harriman and Cindy Barton; three stepsons, William, Patrick and Denis Scheele; nine grandchildren; a brother; several nieces and nephews.

, 80, of Chelsea, died Aug. 26. Born in 1938 in Bridgeport, Conn., he was the son of Harry and Bessie (Flint) Stender. He graduated from Fairfield High School and was employed at the Handy and Harmon Co. in Fairfield. He served in the Army during WWII. He retired in 1981 from the Vermont Transportation Department's right of way division. In 1942, he married Mary Safko. Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Jr., Paul and Lee; a brother; seven grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He attended the St. Sylvester Church in Graniteville and later was a member of St. Cecilia Church in Washington and St. Francis of Cabrini Church in East Barre. He graduated from Spaulding High School and later from the home study program of the Illinois Electrical Engineering Institute in Chicago. I 1934, he married Irene David, who died in 1987. He owned and operated F.W. Nichols Electric Co. It later became City Electric Co. He and his wife also operated Albisetti's Tourist Home. He was a member of St. Monica's Church in Barre. Survivors include a nephew, Norman Emerson.

He moved to Vermont and was raised by his great uncle and aunt, William and Katherine Arnold of Bethel. He attended Whitcomb High School in Bethel. In 1936, he married Gladys Waldo Vassollo, who died April 6. He worked in sales for the Electrolux Corporation, retiring in 1976. Survivors include three sons, Robert, Thomas and Steven; 11 grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews.

He worked as an electrical engineer at Marlin Rockwell TRW Corp. in Connecticut, retiring in 1987. She worked for the State of Vermont in Montpelier, retiring from the State Treasurer's Office. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Barre. He served with the Royal Air Force and following military service, owned and operated an auto parts business in England, retiring in 1974. In 1939, he married Edith Platt, who died in 1978. In 1982, he married Barbara Tucker Aimi. He was affiliated with the First Presbyterian Church in Barre. Survivors include his wife; a nephew and five nieces.

He joined the Barre City Fire Department in 1962 and was shift captain at the time of his death. In 1960, he married Ann Walker. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Terry Setien and Kris Setien; two brothers; one sister.
