, 68, formerly of Barre, died Sept. 2. Born in 1929 in Watertown, Mass., she was the daughter of Alfred and Laura (Chamberlin) Dupuis. She attended schools in Littleton, N.H. In 1950, she married Vico Masi, who died in 1992. She was employed at the Rowan Court Nursing Home and she and her husband owned and operated Vic's Pizza shop on Main Street in Barre. She also worked for Home Health Care for the elderly. She was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Green; a son, Michael; five grandchildren; her companion, Henry Hartford; two sisters.

She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Amsterdam, N.Y. and from the Eastman School of Dental Hygiene in Rochester, N.Y. Survivors included her husband, Charles; two daughters, Andrea Norton and Nancy Murray; two sons, Peter and Christopher; nine grandchildren.

, 75, of Worcester, died Aug. 8. Born in 1923 in Montpelier, he was the son of Maurice and Ruth Dutton Joslyn. He graduated from Montpelier High School and continued his education at Dartmouth College, receiving a BA in history. He attended the University of Vermont and later received a master's degree from the University of Kentucky. He served in the Air Force during WWII and also served in the Vermont National Guard. In 1967, he married Irene Archbold Jensvold, who died in 1996. He was a teacher in Woodstock and Bradford, as well as San Diego, CA, where he retired. He also worked as a resource librarian for the Vermont Department of Education. Survivors include three step-sons, Erik, Andrew and Christopher; a brother; several nieces and nephews.

, 82, formerly of Barre and more recently of White River Jct., died Sept. 16. Born in 1915 in Barre, he was the son of James B. and Margaret (Walsh) Carswell. He graduated from Barre Grammar School, attended Spaulding High School and graduated from East Orange, N.J. High School He attended Columbia University. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Army. He was employed in the advertising departments of Glamour, True and Esquire publications and then was a sales agent representing imported and domestic menswear throughout the New England states, retiring in 1985. He was married to Hazel (Hubbard) Carswell, who died in 1992. Survivors include two nieces, Andrea Perham and Victoria Cilwa; two nephews, James Carswell and David Carswell.

She attended public schools in East Ryegate, Plainfield and Montpelier Seminary. In 1940, she married Merle A. Hawkins, who died in 1978. She had assisted her husband on the family farm. She was affiliated with the East Calais Community Church. Survivors include one son, David; one daughter, Judy Humphrey; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She later married Victor Parent Jr. She was employed by the Cardinal Hayes Home in N.Y. and also at the Sharon Registry in Conn. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Northfield. Survivors include eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

, Sr., 67, of Bethel, died Sept. 15. Born in 1930 in Manor, Georgia, he was the son of William and Rosalee (Blunt) Corbitt. In 1995, he married Lorrie Pepin. He had served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked on cattle ranges in Florida, as a dairy farmer in Newport Center and Derby and more recently as a dispatcher for the Yellow Cab Company in Burlington. She was principal of Woodbury and Plainfield high schools and assistant principal of Cambridge High School. She served as dean of women at Vermont College in Montpelier and then returned to teaching at Montpelier High School until her retirement. Survivors include two sons, Chandler and Robert; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He attended Websterville School and was a pro-merito graduate of Spaulding High School. He worked at Wells-Lamson Quarry Company, became vice president and general manager of quarry operations and retired in 1975. He was a member of the Vermont State Guard during WWII. In 1941, he married Helen Begin. Survivors include his wife; cousins, Gladys Gay, William Gay and Alfred Gay; other cousins in western Canada.

He worked on the family dairy farm and later purchased a pig farm and raised sheep, potatoes and pigs. He introduced buffalo to the farm in 1995. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Northfield. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mary Bean; six nephews, Matthew, Michael, Mark, Jerry, John and Peter Bean; three nieces, Pamela Blondin, Bonnie Bean and Martha Sue LaBonne.
