, 53, of Barre, died Jan. 23. Born in 1943 in Bradford, he was the son of Harry and Thelma (Thurston) Clark. He graduated from Bradford Academy. He worked at Farrell Distributing for 30 years. In 1964, he married Diana Holden, they divorced in 1980. Survivors include a son, H. James; two daughters, Deborah Williams and Nancy Benoit; five grandchildren; his companion, Sheila Joyal; two brothers; five sisters.
Beltrami, Armand J.

, 75, of Barre, died Jan. 25. Born in 1921 in Barre, he was the son of Joseph and Lydia (Marciasi) Beltrami. He attended Barre schools and graduated from Spaulding High School. He became a certified aircraft engine mechanic and taught mechanical drawing at Spaulding High School and the Barre Memorial Art School. In 1944, he married Ernestine Harp and in 1945 they and opened the Photo Shop in Barre. They operated it until 1974, turning the business over to their son, Christopher and his wife, Patricia. Survivors include one son, Christopher; two daughters, Anita Beardsley and Cynthia Blades; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

, 72, of Barre, died Jan. 23. Born in 1923 in Montpelier, she was the daughter of Almon and Alice (Chatfield) Moore. She attended schools in Montpelier and graduated from Montpelier High School. In 1960, she married Fruto J. Valle. She worked as a legal secretary, retiring in 1973. Survivors include her husband; one son, Thomas; two daughters, Anne Figelman and Patricia Denison; seven grandchildren.

She was educated in Barre schools, graduating from Spaulding High School and from State Teachers College in Plattsburgh, N.Y. In 1940, she married Floyd LeClair, who died in 1970. She taught special education in New York state. After the death of her husband, she moved to Arizona, where she was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, David and John; five daughters, Anne Donnelly, Helen Lacey, Peg LeClair, Jane Ducharme and Katherine LeClair; her mother; two sisters; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

, 98, of Montpelier, died Jan. 25. Born in 1899 in Munson, Maine, she was the daughter of Fred and Hattie Wright. She was raised in Amherst, Mass. and graduated from Amherst High School. She attended the University of Massachusetts. In 1920, she married Floyd Fish Reed, who died in 1965. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked in nursing homes in Amherst (Mass.) and California. She moved to Montpelier in 1984. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Amherst. Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor Reed and Frances Rockford; a brother; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

She attended St. Monica's Graded School and graduated from Spaulding High School. In 1951, she married Donald Bazluke. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Fred Mayo accounting office, the Lacillade Lumber Co., and the Calmont Beverage Co. She retired in 1996. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Martha Fish; two sons, Richard and Donald; seven grandchildren; two sisters.

In 1940, she married Reginald Poirier. She was a member of the Websterville Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; her mother; one son, David; three daughters, Yvonne Deuso, Gail Boutin and Sheila LaPerle; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters.

, 82, of Hardwick, died Jan. 29. Born in 1914 in Orleans, she was the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Wursthorne) Stevens. She graduated from Hickory (N.C.) High School, Lenoir Rhyne College in N.C., New Rochelle School of Nursing, N.Y. and Goddard College. In 1936, she married Harold Holcomb, who died in 1976. They established the Holcomb Funeral Home, which they operated for 40 years. She was a member of the United Church of Hardwick. Survivors include one son, Stephen; one daughter, Monica Holcomb; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

, 75, of Northfield, died recently at the Mayo Nursing Home in Northfield. Born in 1921 in Northfield, she was the daughter of Mark and Luetta (Bean) Avery. She attended Northfield schools. In 1937, she married Orrin J. Atwood, who died in 1962. She had operated a daycare during the 1960s and early 1970s. Survivors include five sons, Gary, Brent, Bernard, Avery and Dale; one daughter, Penny Drown; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Born in 1943 in Plymouth, Mass., he was the son of Reginald and Aldea (Daviau) Norway Sr. He attended Stannard public schools and Hardwick Academy. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Following discharge, he moved to New Hampshire where he opened Diamond Investigation Service. He was later employed as a security officer for the Ames Department Stores in the Manchester/Concord, N.H. areas, and Allied Security in Newport, N.H. He moved to Arizona in 1996, where he was employed as a hotel manager. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Brown and Marie Norway; three sons, Douglas, Mark and Donald; a sister; four brothers; five grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

, 72, of Montpelier, died Jan. 29. Born in 1924 in Los Angeles, Calif., he was the son of Orrin and Charlotte (Peck) Jackman. The family moved to Calais in 1927 and he attended schools there. He graduated from Montpelier High School, received a B.Ed. from Lyndon State College and a M.Ed. from the University of Vermont. He taught sixth, seventh and eighth grades in the Montpelier schools. In 1946, he married Christina Morrison. Survivors include his wife; a sister, Betty Anderson; six nephews and one niece. A daughter, Elizabeth, died in 1988.

She moved with her family to Hyde Park, where she attended schools. In 1944, she married Merritt Fleurrey. She worked as a waitress at the former Hotel Barre and at the Dugout Restaurant. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Pauline Buker and Tina Morissette; four sons, Raymond, Wayne, Scott and Alan; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother; four sisters; nieces and nephews.

He was first married to Olive Hart and in 1980 married Juanita Kyle. He worked at Stafford Lumber Co. in Morrisville and later at Rock of Ages Corp. He operated an automotive service garage and in 1967, became the owner and operator of Boardman's Garage and wrecker service in Plainfield, retiring in 1995. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Glendon, Lance and Lonny; two step-sons, Aaron Kyle and Jason Kyle; a daughter, Addy Boardman; a step-daughter, Rachael Nelthorpe; a sister; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She attended Barre schools and Spaulding High School. She was employed at the Mica Plant in Barre and also as a housekeeper, retiring in 1971. She was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include one brother, William; one sister, Margaret Smith; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

, 76, formerly of Chelsea, more recently of Florida, died Jan. 22. Born in 1920 in Chelsea, he was the son of Eugene and Alice Kennedy. He attended school in Chelsea, graduating from Chelsea High School. He became employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in E. Hartford, Conn. He served with the Army Air Force and following discharge, returned to Chelsea. He was manager of the Chelsea Co-op Grocery and was also employed by American Home Foods. In 1952, he started his own business buying and selling cars and became a Chrysler-Plymouth dealer. He was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives and was active in town affairs. In 1943, he married Phyllis Playful, they divorced in 1973 and he then married Sylvia Berini. In 1976, he retired to Florida and spent summers in Vermont. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of North Port, Fla. Survivors include his wife; his son, James; a daughter, Mary Jane Kennedy; a stepson, Chris Berini; three brothers; a step-granddaughter and great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
