, 89, formerly of Barre, died Jan. 1. Born in 1907 in Walden, N.Y., she was the daughter of Jonas and Margaret (Sheley) Deyo. She attended elementary school in New York City and graduated from George Washington High School. In 1929, she married John Hogg, who died in 1974. She was employed as a bookkeeper for the State of New York, retiring in 1965. She was a member of the Websterville Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne Dugliss and Margaret Holzer; one son, Peter; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

, 70, of Northfield, died Jan. 2. Born in 1926 in Randolph, he was the son of W. Howard and Bernice (Fielders) Holden. He attended Randolph schools and graduated from Randolph High School. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. In 1947, he married Catherine Clevenger. They returned to Vermont in 1958 and owned and operated the Mt. Aeolus Inn in East Dorset. Mrs. Holden died in 1979. He has been living in Northfield for the past four years. Survivors include two sons, Charles and Mark; three daughters, Vickie Lehr, Sharry Rutken and Cindy Revenis; his companion, Jeanne Hutchinson; one brother; two sisters; 11 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

, 76, formerly of Northfield, died Jan. 7. Born in 1920 in Northfield, he was the son of James and Ella (Fullum) Cruickshank. He graduated from Northfield High School and attended Vermont College in Montpelier. He worked for the Vermont Highway Department, F.W. Whitcomb Construction in Walpole, N.H. and Dufresne and Henry in Springfield. He moved to Bellows Falls in 1960, where he owned and operated Precision Paving Co. In 1944, he married Margaret McGoff. Survivors include his wife; his mother; two sons, Earl Jr. and James; one daughter, Peggy Alexy; one brother; two sisters.

, 77, of Barre, died Dec. 20. Born in 1919 in Bridgeport, Conn., he was the son of Andrew Sherwood Huntington and Louise (Forsyth) Huntington. He attended Sherman Elementary School in Fairfield, Conn. and graduated from the Hoosac School in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. He was employed as an organ repairman by several companies in New England. He also worked for Railroad Express. He resided at Rowan Court Health & Rehabilitation Center for the past three years. Born in 1919 in Bridgeport, Conn., she was the daughter of James and Zelia (Trask) Green and was educated in Connecticut schools, Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and Houghton College in New York. In 1951, she married Rev. William J. Smith, who died in 1993. She taught schools in Newfane, N.Y. and was a member of the Cleveland Drive Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her brother, Robert W. Mansfield Company, prior to retirement. Her first husband, Bernard P. Carey, is deceased. She later married Harry C. Ferguson, who is also deceased. Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor J. Cornish and Carolyn T. Aiossa; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

In 1951, he married Lizette Routhier. He worked as a painter and later was employed in the granite industry at North Barre Granite Co. and later at Adams Granite Co. He retired due to ill health. He came to Barre in 1947 and was employed at Dessureau Machine Shop, Rock of Ages and later at Smith Whitcomb & Cook, retiring in 1986. In 1948, he married Mariette LaCroix. He was a member of St. Monica Parish. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Gisele (Mrs. David) Lahr and Anne (Mrs. Ken) Walker; five grandchildren.

She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ. He was a truck driver, employed by the McDermott Trucking Co. of Enosburg Falls and other trucking firms in the central Vermont area. He moved to Randolph in 1972, where he operated the landfill. He was a member of Sts. Rogatian and Donatian Church. In 1944, he married Madeline Dumas. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Claude, Jacques, Serge, Michael and Pierre; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
