, 88, of Barre, died Feb. 9. Born in 1908 in Marshfield, she was the daughter of George and Ida (Martin) Holt. She attended the Maple Hill School and graduated from the former Plainfield High School. She also graduated from beautician school. In 1927, she married Elvezio Ferrati, who died in 1968. They raised a niece, Sandra Fowler and a nephew, Robert Modica. She operated Nathalie's Beauty Shop, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Barre. Survivors include two brothers, Clyde Holt and Arthur Holt; many nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.

, 51, of Berlin, died Feb. 8. Born in 1946 in Newport, R.I., he was the son of Herman and Olive (Earle) Chase. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa and his jurist doctor from Boston University. He served with the Air Force during Vietnam. In 1968, he married Judith Fouts. His professional career began in the Office of the District for Norfolk County in Dedham, Mass. From 1985 until his death, he worked with the office of Secretary of State in Montpelier. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Montpelier. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Laura Chase; one son, Seth; his mother; two brothers; two sisters.

, 83, of Brookfield, died Feb. 7. Born in 1914 in Brookfield, he was the son of Oscar and Hazel (Sprague) Lamson. He received his early education in Brookfield, graduated from Williamstown High School and from Albany (N.Y.) Business College. He was employed by Dunn & Bradstreet in Albany (N.Y.), returning to Brookfield in 1940. He purchased a farm in East Brookfield, which he operated until retiring in 1967. Following retirement, he worked for Beacon Feeds and Northern Farms. He was a member of East Brookfield Congregational Church. In 1936, he married Olga Davenport. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Kathryn Brown; one sister; two grandsons.

, 90, of Waterbury, died Feb. 12. Born in 1906 in Montpelier, she was the daughter of Charles and Helen Mae (Greeley) Holmes. She graduated from the former Waterbury High School and Burlington Business College. In 1930, she married Keith Hooker, who died in 1973. She had been employed as a lab technician for the Vermont Agricultural Department. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Waterbury. Survivors incl ude a daughter, Wanda Gregorio; two sons, Lane Hooker and Paul Rogers; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; nieces and nephews.

, 75, of Bethel, died Feb. 12. Born in 1921 in Stockbridge, he was the son of Leo and Suzie (Safford) White. He received his early education in Bethel and Stockbridge schools and attended Whitcomb High School. He was a truck driver for Petco Oil Company, for granite delivery companies in Barre and was a carpenter for Hawk Mountain Development and the Trumble-Nelson Company (Lebanon, N.H.). He was a constable and fire response traffic controller for Bethel. In 1942, he married Marguerite Campbell. Survivors include his wife; one son, Eugene; one brother; three grandchildren.

, 27, of Randolph, died Feb. 9. Born in 1969 in Randolph, she was the daughter of James and Sylvia (LaRocque) Pierce. She was educated in St. Andrew's Elementary School and Bishop Moore High School, both in Orlando, Fla., and graduated from Randolph Union High School. She attended Vermont College and graduated from Castleton State College. She was a seventh-grade teacher at Rutland Middle School. In 1992, she married Rick Small. Survivors include her husband; one son, Nicholas; her mother; two step-daughters, Carie Small and Shannon Small; one sister; one brother; her maternal grandmother; aunts, uncles and cousins.

, 93, of Montpelier, died Feb. 9. Born in 1904 in East Montpelier, he was the son of Charles and Eula (Jacobs) Willard. He attended schools in East Montpelier. In 1927, he married Leona Dancause, who died in 1993. He was a plumber with Somers & Sons store in Montpelier and the E.T. Sequin Heating Oil Company. He was a full-time fireman with the Montpelier Fire Department, being appointed captain in 1961, and retiring in 1969. After retirement, he joined the Washington County Sheriff's Department, retiring for a second time in 1987. He was a member of St. Augustine Church. Survivors include his son, Robert; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother; nieces and nephews.

, 98, of Montpelier, died Feb. 10. Born in 1899 in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of George Hanlon and Frances (Maurck) Hanlon. She received her education there. In 1921, she married Charles Hull, who died in 1972. She was a member of St. Augustine Church. Survivors include a son, Arthur; two daughters, Dorothy Hull and Eleanor Hennessey; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

, 77, of Hardwick, died Feb. 14. Born in 1917 in Meriden, Ct., he was the son of William and Mary Ann (Glaskin) Misuk. He attended and graduated from Meriden Public Schools. He attended Alliance Jr. College in Pa. and graduated from University of Alabama in Birmingham with a degree in chemistry. He later attended Loyola University in Chicago to study pre-med. He served in the Army's medical core. In 1943, he married Goldie Mabel Slicer, who died in 1990. They moved to Craftsbury Common where he was employed as a custodian for Craftsbury Academy. In 1959, he and his family moved to Hardwick. He had been employed at the former Brightlook Hospital (St. Johnsbury) and later at NVRH, working in the X-ray department. He retired in 1979. Survivors include two sons, Michael and Gregory; one brother; two sisters; two grandsons; several nieces and nephews.

, 53, of Plainfield, died Feb. 11. Born in 1943 in Barre Town, he was the son of Alfred and Isabella (Barclay) Keene. He attended schools in Washington and worked as a farm hand in central Vermont. He worked for tire companies in the Barre-Montpelier area and for the past 10 years delivered newspapers for The WORLD. He also owned and operated a bushhogging and rototilling business in Plainfield. Survivors include his daughter, Lori Keene; one son, Richard; a brother; nieces and nephews.

, 81, of Barre, died Feb. 9. Born in 1915 in Lemington, she was the daughter of Charles and Clara (Royal) Pease. She graduated from Colebrook (N.H.) Academy and from the former Barre City Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a staff nurse at the Barre City Hospital as well as private duty nurse in the Barre area. She retired in 1978. In 1940, she married Emile Chatot. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Charles and Philip; two daughters, Carol Ann Brown and Claire Bartecki; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Flanders. She was also a private duty nurse. Survivors include two sons, Jack Loura and Charles Loura; a daughter, Roberta Gilbert; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

, 86, of Barre, died Feb. 12. Born in 1911 in Hinesburg, he was the son of Charles and Caroline (Benedict) Emmons. He received his early education in Hinesburg. In 1931, he married Ruth Garvey, who died in 1992. He was employed at the Rock of Ages manufacturing plant, retiring in 1975. Survivors include five daughters, Betty Barnett, Barbara Crawford, Brenda Dunn, Sheryl Emmons and Sharon Edson; four sons, Wayne, Wesley, Wendell and Richard; 30 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; four bro-thers; four sisters; many nieces and nephews.
