Her first husband, Mark Page, died during the Korean War. In 1961, she married Lawrence Hutchins. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Plainfield. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Debbie Hutchins, Polly Bartee, Barbara Davis and Sandra Shusda; four step-sons, Michael, Daryle, Bryce and Bradley; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother; a sister; nieces and nephews.

, 97, of Hardwick, died Oct. 6. Born in 1900 in East Albany, she was the daughter of Edward and Catherine (Waters) Gallagher. She taught school in Hardwick for 40 years, retiring in 1967. She was a communicant of St. Norbert's Church. Her husband, William Robb, died in 1985. Survivors include two sons, John and William; two daughters, Clare Cowell and Barbara Whalen; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

, 61, of Warren, died Oct. 8. Born in 1935 in Amaan, Jordan, he was the son of Erich and Zora (Kaludjerski) Bethmann. He graduated from Takoma Academy in Maryland and attended the University of Maryland. In 1956, he married Janina Auzins. He was employed as an engineer by C&P Telephone Co. in Washington, D.C., retiring in 1990. He returned to Warren in August. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Monica Bethmann; a son, Michael; a brother; nieces and nephews.

, 68, of Waterbury, died Oct. 9. Born in 1929 in South Poultney, he was the son of Peter Sr. and Mary (Zappone) Amerio. He graduated from Fair Haven High School and from Concord College with a degree in computer science. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He had been employed by various slate quarries in the Fair Haven and Poultney area. He and his brothers founded Amerio Brothers Slate Co. He also worked for National Life Insurance Co., retiring in 1988. Survivors include his wife, Mary (Durkee) Amerio; three daughters, Katherine St. Louis, Susan Amerio and Brenda Amerio; four sisters; four brothers; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was employed at several area granite manufacturing plants as a finish stonecutter. He served with the Army National Guard. , 79, of Barre, died Oct. 8. Born in 1917 in Piopolis, Quebec, he was the son of Alphonse Grenier and Malvina Giguere. In 1941, he married Jeannette Coulombe, who is deceased. In 1961, he married Irma Chouinard. He moved to Barre in 1960 and was employed in the granite industry, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include five children, Francois (Mrs. Merile) Guillette, Suzanne Grenier, Carole (Mrs. William) Root, Pierre Grenier, Alain Grenier; two sisters; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

, 84, of Plainfield, died Oct. 7. Born in 1913 in Washington, she was the daughter of George and Lillian (Taylor) Lyford. She attended schools in Chelsea. In 1930, she married Rupert Gosland, who died in 1990. She was a seamstress for many years and also sold Avon products and was assistant librarian at Cutler Memorial Library. She later was a postal clerk at the Plainfield Post Office until her retirement. Survivors include a son, James; a daughter, Bernice Youngblood; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; six brothers; three sisters; many nieces and nephews.

, 70, formerly of Hardwick, died Oct. 7. Born in 1927 in Barton, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kimball. She lived in the Hardwick area for more than 50 years, moving to Lyndonville two years ago. Her husband, Clayton Willey, died Oct. 7. They had operated a family farm and she worked at Concord Manufacturing and the East Hardwick Nursing Home. Survivors include six sons, Frank, Kervin, Roy, Richard, Dennis and Larry; two daughters, Linda Dickey and Beverly Gilman; two sisters; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

In 1959, she married Richard Provost. She was director of religious education for St. Augustine Parish. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Norwich University in 1992 and a master's in psychology from Norwich University in 1995. She worked as a rehabilitation counselor for Champlain Drug and Alcohol Services. Survivors include her husband; five sons, Steve, Paul, Jeff, David and Jonathan; six grandchildren; four brothers; one sister.

He attended District 11 School in Chelsea, graduated from Chelsea High School and from Bay Path Institute in Mass., majoring in accounting. In 1936, he married Flora Gray, who died in 1987. They had owned and operated a dairy farm in Tunbridge and he also worked for Frank Gilman. He retired in 1978 from farming. Jerry Co. He later worked at Georgia Pacific paper mill and Northern Sanitation Inc., both in Plattsburgh, N.Y. In 1971, he married Darlene M. Covey. He was educated in East Hampton schools, attended Williston Academy and graduated from the University of Massachusetts. He received a master's degree from Boston University. He served as a pilot with the Army Air Corps. He moved to Barre in 1946 and taught at Lincoln School, moving to Westwood (Mass.) in 1957 and summering in Greensboro. He was a member of Islington Community Church. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Priscilla Lyman; a son, Thomas; a daughter, Jean Phillips; four grandchildren.
