She worked as a secretary at Cook and Watkins and Patch Granite Co., retiring in 1974. She later worked as a secretary at South End Granite Polishing Co. She was affiliated with the Barre Congregational Church. Survivors include a sister, Leona Lawrence; a niece; two nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.

, 61, of Barre, died Oct. 28. Born in 1935 in Burlington, he was the son of Edwin Hayes and Victoria (Santamore-Merchant) Morse. He was employed by Eastern Magnesium Talc Co. for many years and later as a blaster at Perrini Construction. He retired due to ill health. He served in the Army during the Korean War. In 1969, he married Ruby Rexford. Survivors include two sons, Michael and Steven; three step-sons, Douglas Baker, Carl Baker and Anthony Baker; two brothers; five step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In 1945, she married Charles Root. In 1957, she married Howard Dindo, who died in 1975. She worked as a waitress at Hilltop Restaurant. She was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include three sons, William Root, Mark Dindo and Matthew Dindo; two step-daughters, Linda St. John and Nancy Slade; a stepson, Howard Dindo Jr.; 14 grandchildren; a brother; several nieces and nephews.

He served with the Army during the Vietnam War. He was married to Cynthia Gable, they later divorced. He later married Debra Lajeunesse, they also divorced. He was most recently employed at LaCroix Memorial Co. in Barre. Survivors include a daughter, Rhonna Gable; a son, Richard; a brother; two sisters; two aunts; nieces and nephews.

He worked at Cross Baking Co. in Montpelier, retiring in 1978 and moving to Florida. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Rogers; two daughters, Bette O'Connor and Sara Joyal; a son, Douglas Rogers; a sister; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Spaulding High School and later from a two-year teachers' program. She had worked in the housekeeping department of the Barre City Hospital and later was supervisor of housekeeping at Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin. She retired in 1974. She was first married to William R. Bartlett, they later divorced. In 1942, she married William R. Bartlett, who died in September. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Plainfield and affiliated with the United Church of Woodbury. Survivors include a son, Roscoe; four grandsons; two granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; two nieces.

, 93, of Hardwick, died Oct. 19. Born in 1904 in Hardwick, he was the son of Eddio Sr. and Josephine (Comolli) Barr. He graduated from Hardwick Academy. he was one of the first members of the Vermont Highway Patrol, stationed in St. Johnsbury. Later, he and his brother Aquonaldo, owned and operated Barr's Better Beverages in Hardwick. He was a member of the United Church of Hardwick. His wife, Marjorie (Fraser) Barr, died in 1995. Survivors include three cousins, Aldo Bai, Libra McAllister and Martin Calcagni.

She attended Roxbury Elementary School and Northfield High School and graduated from Windsor High School. She was first married to David Owen. In 1958, she married Robert E. Montgomery. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Veronica Armstrong and Lorine Petrochko; two sons, Arthur and Frank; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a sister, Ursula Woitschach.

She graduated from Waitsfield High School and from Boston University with a degree in music, voice and piano. In 1928, she married Clifford M. Wallis. They moved to Columbia, MO, where she was a member and former president of the Fortnightly Women's club and active with the League of Women Voters. She retired to Moretown in 1972 and was active in the South Duxbury Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Anne Bull; a son, George; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

, 66, of Randolph Center, died Oct. 23. Born in 1931 in New York, N.Y., he was the son of William and Matilde (Scaggiari) Kessler. He attended schools in Indiana and graduated from George Rogers Clark High School in Hammond, IN. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He continued his education, earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University in Indiana and a master's degree in the same subject from New York University. He also studied mathematics in post-doctoral work at Rutgers University in New Jersey. In 1958, he married Lorraine Czech. He was an electrical engineer for AT&T Bell Laboratories in N.J., retiring in 1984. The Kesslers moved to Randolph Center, where he served as an associate professor of electrical engineering at Vermont Technical College. He was a communicant at Saints Donatian & Rogatian Catholic Church in Randolph. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael, John and Thomas; his mother; two brothers; a sister; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Woodstock High School and received her bachelor of science degree in child development from the New York State School of Human Ecology and received a master's degree in the same field from Cornell University. She was a researcher in child development at Cornell and played a role in the establishment of Head Start. She also pursued both a professional and personal interest in intergenerational connections, working to unite children and elders. Survivors include her husband, Ronny Porras; five children, Daniel, Raimon, Martha, David and Jon; her father; a brother; a sister; three grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews.

In 1919, he married Lila Mayo, who died in 1923. In 1928, he married Mary Rose Fournier. They owned and operated a farm in Worcester for 47 years. He was a member of St. Augustine Church. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Marjorie LaMountain and Barbara Rueda; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters; a brother; several nieces and nephews.

He owned and operated a florist business at his home and was also employed as a bookkeeper by Goddard College and Plainfield area businesses. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dawna (Aronson) Lamore; two sons, Randall and Mathew; a daughter, Alanna Whittmore; six brothers and sisters; six granddaughters.
