, 15, of Northfield, died Sept. 30. Born in 1982 in Randolph, he was the son of John and Rosa ((Manning) Drinkwine. He was a freshman at Northfield High School. Survivors include his father; his mother; three brothers, Samuel Drinkwine, Isaac Drinkwine and Micah Drinkwine; two step-sisters, Brittany Benoir and Christina Benoir; paternal grandfather; maternal grandmother; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

, 73, formerly of Waterbury, died Aug. 30. Born in 1924 in Waterbury, he was the son of Richard and Minnie (Brown) Herbert. He graduated from Waterbury High School and attended the University of Vermont. He served with the Army during WWII. He was employed by Rock of Ages and later by Hertz in Conn. He moved to New York after he retired. In 1946, he married Frances Hurley, who died in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Jodee Ellingsworth; three grandchildren; four sisters.

, 91, formerly of Northfield, died Sept. 27. Born in 1906 in Northfield, she was the daughter of Filippo and Angelina (Rigante) Giacomini. She graduated from Waterbury High School and in 1939, married Henry Paul. She worked for several years at Comollies Store in Waterbury and as a switchboard operator for the town of Waterbury and the Vermont State Hospital. They moved to Springfield, where she was a member of St. Mary's Church. Her husband died in 1990. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra J. Paul; two sons, Remo and Robert; two grandchildren; a sister.

, 67, formerly of Hardwick, died Sept. 28. Born in 1930 in Hardwick, he was the son of Bernard and Mary (Carpenter) Gomez. He was a livestock dealer and owned Sheffield Stables in Sheffield, Mass. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Survivors include two sons, Daniel and Aaron; two daughters, Angela Wingard and Jessica Gomez; two stepsons, Douglas and Glen Kimple; two step-daughters, Linda Kimple Blais and Nanette Schrag; three grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; five sisters; three brothers.

, 78, of Williamstown, died Oct. 4. Born in 1919 in Northfield, he was the son of Wilbur and Celina (Duffany) Jerry. He attended schools in Northfield. In 1945, he married Ellen Aseltine. He worked at Northfield Wood Products and Ethan Allen Inc., retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Edward's Church of Williamstown and a former member of St. John the Evangelist Church of Northfield. Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald; three daughters, Lorraine Beudette, Pamela Herres and Donna Powell; a brother; three sisters; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She attended elementary school in Orange, graduated from Spaulding High School and from teacher training at Bay Path Institute. She taught business courses in Canaan and at Barton Academy. In 1944, she married Kenneth Marsh, who died in 1981. She was a member of Orange Center Church and Bethany United Church of Christ, Congregational in Montpelier. Survivors include a daughter, Sherrie (Mrs. Craig) MacIntyre; nieces and nephews.

, 67, of Barnard, died Oct. 5. Born in 1930 in Roxbury, she was the daughter of Fred and Elmire (Nadeau) Dickinson. She was educated in Roxbury schools and graduated from Randolph High School. In 1953, she married Eldon Hull, who died in 1991. She worked at the Van Raalte Co. in Randolph. Survivors include four sons, Gary, Bruce, Stuart and Jay; a daughter, Kelly Bowen; four sisters; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

, 78, of Northfield Falls, died Oct. 4. Born in Burlington, he was the son of Perley Sr. and Sadie (Reed) Pike. He graduated from high school in Orleans. In 1942, he married Ruby Gates. He served in the Army during WWII. He worked as highway plans and reproduction supervisor for the Vermont Highway Department, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Northfield Falls Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul and Gordon; two daughters, Virginia Webber and Nancy (Mrs. Ronald) Fassett; two sisters; a half-sister; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

, 75, of Waitsfield, died Oct. 3. Born in 1922 in Colchester, he was the son of Carroll and Bessie (Long) Spaulding Sr. He graduated from schools in Starksboro. He moved to Connecticut and worked at General Building Supply Co. in East Hartford and for Brand-Rex in Willimantic. He retired in 1984 and moved to Waitsfield. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Dorothy Spaulding; one niece and nephews.

She married Thomas Leonard Guth, who died in 1966. She had worked as a social service director in N.Y., retiring in 1977 and moving to East Hardwick. She was a member of the Greensboro Bend United Methodist Church. She had worked at the former Hardwick Hospital and East Hardwick Nursing Home. She was a member of the United Church of Hardwick. He had recently moved to Nashua, N.H., where he was a member of the United Methodist Church. He had served in the Army. Survivors include his parents; his partner, Carol (Peterson) Kennerson; two sisters, Charlene McCarney and Terry Alexander; a brother, William Kennerson Jr.; six nieces; two nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins.

She attended schools in Nebraska and graduated from the University of Chicago. She also studied at Columbia University and received a doctorate degree in human relations from New York University. In 1927, she married Harry Bingham. They later divorced. In 1946, she married Hilgard Pannes, who died in 1983. She taught at Columbia University, in Peru and at a high school in Connecticut. She was also a professor at Goddard College. Survivors include a daughter, Leslie Bingham Williams; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
