He grew up in Williamstown and graduated from Williamstown High School and from Vermont Agricultural School in Randolph. He managed the Ralston Purina Grain Store in St. Johnsbury and was warehouse supervisor for the New Hampshire Distributing Agency for 17 years. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Concord, N.H. Survivors include his wife, Florence (Baraw) Murray; a daughter, Jean Towle; a granddaughter; a sister; one niece.

, 88, of Williamstown, died May 7. Born in 1908 in Petoskey, MI, she was the daughter of Frank and Frances (Weaver) Clement. She moved to Buffalo, N.Y. in 1923 and graduated from Silver Creek (N.Y.) High School. She attended both the Eastman School of Music and Fredonia State College in New York. She earned her bachelor's degree in music education at Northwestern University in Illinois and taught music at Niagara Falls (N.Y.) High School. In 1935, she married H. Proctor Martin. They lived in Niagara Falls for 34 years, summering at Lotus Lake in Williamstown and becoming year-round resident in 1964. She and her husband and his two brothers, founded the Lotus Lake Day Camp, which is still in operation. Her husband died in 1968. She was a member of Barre Universalist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Martin Watson and Dorothy Martin (Mrs. John) Milne; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister; several nieces and nephews.

Born in 1946 in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of Joseph and Irene (Somers) Wyrembek Sr. In 1955, he married Maggie Wiltrout, they moved to Waterbury from Wisconsin in 1996. He was a self-employed writer. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tracey Shmik; a son, Todd Wyrembek; Kelty, Virginia B., 64, of Barre, died May 4. Born in 1933 in Toronto, Ohio, she was the daughter of Louis and Sarah (Ward) Basso. She graduated from Toronto High School. In 1952, she married John Kelty, who died in 1968. She was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. in Barre. Survivors include a son, Patrick; four daughters, Christine (Mrs. David) Fellows, Janice (Mrs. Randy) Spaulding; Anita (Mrs. Harold) Beede and Kimberly (Mrs. Michael) Hunt; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister; two nieces and a nephew.

, 73, formerly of Northfield, died May 2. Born in 1924 in Milford, N.H., he was the son of Rev. George and Susan (Chase) Lane. He graduated from Torrington (Ct.) High School and from Amherst College with a degree in physics. He served with the Army during WWII and following discharge, returned and continued his education, receiving a master's degree in physics from Yale University and a doctoral degree in physics from the University of Connecticut. He was an associate professor of physics at Franklin and Marshal College in Lancaster, PA, and moved to Northfield in 1960 become a professor of physics at Norwich University. He retired in 1992. He was a member of United Church of Northfield. Survivors include two daughters, Louise Lane Kafka and Cynthia Gause; a brother; three sisters; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

, 92, formerly of Montpelier, died April 21 in Florida. Born in 1904 in Canada, he was the son of Lillian Beach Bly and John Bly. He grew up in Derby Line, where he received his education and graduated from Newport High School and from Norwich University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. In 1928, he married Heather Carins. He retired as assistant chief engineer with the Vermont Transportation Department. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Montpelier. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Day and Elizabeth FitzPatrick; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister.

She graduated from St. Mary's Nursing School in N.Y. and worked as a registered nurse at St. Mary's Hospital, Emergency Hospital and Mercy Hospital, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Buffalo. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Shirley Cane, Cathy Theobald and Patricia Johnson; five grandchildren; a sister; 11 nieces and 18 nephews.

She attended schools in East Hardwick and graduated from Lyndon Institute and from Lyndon State Teachers College. She later attended the College of St. Rose, Russell Sage College and Skidmore College, all in New York; and the University of Vermont. In 1934, she married Robert Pratt, who died in 1972. She taught elementary school in several Vermont communities including the former South Barre School. Her memberships included St. Peter's Catholic Church in N.Y. and St. Monica Church in Barre. Survivors include her daughter, Janice (Mrs. Lawrence) Abbiati; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; a sister.

He came to the United States in 1996 and began working at Cabot Creamery Cooperative. In 1996, he married Christine Tundik who was awaiting clearance to join him. She and her husband owned and operated the Northfield Candy Kitchen, retiring in 1971. She was a member of Christ the King Parish. Survivors include two daughters, Janet (Neilson) Chambers and Carmen (Revilla) Abascal; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two sisters; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She attended public school in Connecticut and graduated from Hillhouse High School there. In 1946, she married Richard Henson, who died in 1950. In early 1960s, she moved to Walden and attended the University of New Hampshire, earning an associate degree. She was librarian at Jeudevine Memorial Library in Hardwick for 28 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Connecticut and later was affiliated with the United Church of Hardwick. Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl (Mrs. John) Ramsay; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Charles Sassi; a brother; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five nephews and a niece.
