, 90, of Hardwick, died Nov. 30. Born in 1908 in Wolcott, she was the daughter of Bert and Ethel (Guyer) Potter. She graduated from Johnson Normal School. In 1934, she married William S. Hill, who died in 1960. They had owned and operated a potato farm in Wolcott and later Hills Feed Store in Hardwick. She was a member of the United Church of Hardwick. Survivors include four sons, William F., Stephen, Daniel and James; a brother; a sister; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

, 77, formerly of Barre and more recently of Burlington, died Nov. 30. Born in 1922 in Barre, she was the daughter of Roy and Pearl (Densmore) French. She graduated from Spaulding H.S. In 1945, she married Edwin Maynard, who died in 1994. She was registrar in the Mary Fletcher Hospital School of Nursing, was office manager for Oral Surgery Associates and later secretary for Dr. Henry Lampert. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Essex Jct. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Maynard Behrens and Carlo L. Brisson; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren.

, 42, of East Montpelier, died Nov. 28. Born in 1957 in East Montpelier, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Thelma (Loso) Welch. She graduated from U-32 Jr./Sr. H.S. In 1979, she married Boynton Saia Jr., who died in October. She was employed as a teachers' aide at the Monteverdi Music School in Montpelier and had worked in area child care centers. She was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters, Megan Saia and Melanie Saia; her mother; a sister; two brothers.

, 95, formerly of Walden and more recently of Colo., died Nov. 27. Born in 1904 in Walden, she was the daughter of Ernest and Carrie (Woodruff) Orton. In 1927, she married Lewis Orland Batten. She had been a bookkeeper for Bailey Brothers Auto Parts in Barre and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Plainfield and the First Presbyterian Church of Barre. Survivors include three sons, Lewis, Ernest and Albert; a daughter, Barbara Barren; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

, 78, of Chelsea, died Nov. 30. Born in 1921 in Chelsea, he was the son of George and Ina (Waldo) Taylor. In 1942, he married Antoinette Verge. He operated the family dairy farm and also a milk route and delivered grain and freight between Chelsea and So. Royalton. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Virginia Taylor and Donna Putney; one son, Maurice Taylor; two sisters; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He graduated from Montpelier H.S. and in 1945, married Aida Puricella. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed as an accountant for an insurance company in Montpelier and later for the Vermont Department of Libraries, retiring in 1990. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Catherine Zuanich and Margaret Zuanich-Bunker; two grandsons; a sister; a brother.

, 92, of Barre Town, died Nov. 27. Born in 1907 in Maspeth, N.Y., she was the daughter of Charles and Caroline Kish. She attended school in Maspeth (NY). In 1935, she married Stephen Pataki, who died in 1984. She was employed as a seamstress in New York City, retiring in 1970. She moved to Barre in 1993 and attended the Church of God of Prophecy of Barre. Survivors include four nieces, Edith McAfee, Eleanor Venezia, Eleanor Mikula and Helen Gleason; a nephew, George Kish.

He attended Barre and North Hartland schools and served with the Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1951, he married Celia Davis. He worked as a truck driver for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Wark Brothers and Calmont Beverage Company and was foreman for Huntington Homes in Berlin and East Montpelier. He was the park manager at Sandy Pines Trailer Park. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mike, Danny and Gary; three daughters, Cindy Edson, Debbie Clark and Terri Martin; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Northfield High School and held education certificates in photography, crafts and the arts. She worked at Kerr and Elliott Insurance and later at The What Not Shop, both in Northfield. Survivors include a nephew, George Giffin; a niece, Marjorie Greene.

He had worked at the Rock of Ages Corp. and then for the Orange Town Garage. He was later employed by Revard's Stone Works and more recently back at the Orange Town Garage. Survivors include six daughters, Brenda Sherlaw, Lori Eggum, Sharon Goodell-Donahue, Tabitha Jenkins, Amy Goodell, Jennie Halfmann; one son, Jeremy; six brothers; three sisters; 17 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

, 92, formerly of Barre and more recently of the Mayo Healthcare in Northfield, died Dec. 1. Born in 1907 in Arcisare, Italy, she was the daughter of Luigi and Pierina (Massari) Baroffio. The family moved to Hardwick in 1913, where she graduated from Hardwick Academy. She worked for Montgomery Wards and later was a supervisor for the Vermont Department of Employment and Security, retiring in 1972. She was a member of St. Monica's Church. Survivors include a nephew, Jack Baroffio; a niece, Thelma Baroffio; a cousin, Elda Roselli.

, 74, of Vershire, died Nov. 28. Born in 1925 in Queens, N.Y., he was the son of George and Irene (McLaughlin) Kenefick. He received a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from Queens College and a master's degree in education from Teachers College of Columbia University. He served in the Army during WWII and in 1963, married Marie Doran. He taught high school mathematics before working at Sikorsky Aircraft in Conn., retiring in 1991. He moved to Vermont in 1994 and became the Orange County hazardous material director. He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in So. Royalton. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James and Robert; a daughter, Patricia Kenefick; a sister.

, 85, of Greensboro, died Dec. 1. Born in 1914 in Irasburg, she was the daughter of Winthop D. and Nellie (Heath) Coolbeth. She graduated from Greensboro H.S. and in 1935, married Howard Salls who died April 27. She had been employed at Willey's Store and later as a licensed practical nurse at Hardwick Hospital, Greensboro Hospital and Kerbs Hospital in St. Albans. She retired in the early 1980s. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Hislop and Jennie Spradlin; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

In 1937, he married Katherine Munson, who died in 1993. He worked for Pratt and Whitney in Hartford, Conn. and operated Whiteside Shell Station in Williamstown. He had also worked at Earl Auto and Rock of Ages, both in Barre and at Norwich University, retiring in 1977. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Northfield. Survivors include one son, Charles; two daughters, Mary Jane Cheever and Debra Corsney; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Harry Jr. and William; two daughters, Elizabeth Duprey and Sherry McFalls; a brother; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her companion, Walter Delia.

He graduated from Waterville High School in Waterville, Maine and later from Becker Business College in Worcester, Mass. He served in the Marine Corps during WWII. He moved to Barre in 1960 and was director of Industrial Development for the State of Vermont. He later worked for the Barre Granite Association and began his own business, Royal Monument Inc., which he operated until 1990. Survivors include his wife, Mary Welch; three daughters, Maureen Welch, Sharon Welch, Elizabeth Hulbert; two sons, James and Daniel; seven grandchildren; a brother; one niece and one nephew.

He graduated from Johnson Wales University in R.I. and worked at Topnotch until moving to Calif. in 1983. He had been employed as a chef, retiring in 1999. In 1984, he married Virginia Anderson. Survivors include his wife; two children, Nina and T.J.; his mother; two sisters;one brother; nieces and nephews; one great-niece; one aunt.

, 94, of Barre, died Nov. 27. Born in 1905 in Barre, she was the daughter of Battista and Jennie (Broggi) Galli. She attended the former Goddard Seminary, graduating in 1922. She was employed locally as a bookkeeper by the Filling Station Supply Company for over 50 years. Her memberships included the Universalist Church in Barre. Survivors include her second cousin, Dorothy Anderson; many friends.
