He was self-employed at Senter Construction Co. He had also been road commissioner in Berlin and Worcester and selectman in Worcester. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Barbara Huang; three sons, Bradley, Terry and Kevin; a sister; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

, 88, of Barre City, died Nov. 13. Born in 1910 in Quincy, Mass., she was the daughter of Joseph and Maria (Monti) Catto. The family moved to Barre where she attended schools. She was employed at Woolworth Store and in 1937, married Wendell R. Warnes. She was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Marilyn Isabelle; one sister; six grandchildren;six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

, 63, of Hardwick, died Nov. 9. Born in 1935, he was the son of Lucian and Hazel (Leavitt) Lurvey. He attended schools in Greensboro Bend. In 1953, he married Gloria Machia. In earlier years, he worked at Grossman Lumber Mill in Greensboro Bend and Sam Daniels Manufacturing in Hardwick. More recently, he worked at Pelletier Lumber Co. in Hardwick, retiring in 1997. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ernest; two daughters, Terri and Tammy.

, 84, of Tunbridge, died Nov. 11. Born in 1925 in Syracuse, N.Y., he was the son of Dr. Albert and Mrs. Chloe Lewis VanDusen. He attended Mount Hermon School in Mass. and the College of Wooster in Ohio. He earned his masters degree at the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins and and served as a research analyst and teacher of Russian studies. He served in the Armed Forces during WWII. In 1947, he married Mary Ellen McCarron. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janet Smoker; two sons, Philip and Fred; five grandchildren.

He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and also as a minister for the Church of Christ. He had served in the Army. Survivors include two sons, Gary and Dale; a daughter, Nancy Curtin; a half-sister; five grandchildren.

In 1935, he married Christie Howard, who died in 1991. He operated a farmers' market business out of his truck and sold Christmas wreaths. He was a member of St. Monica's Church in Barre. Survivors include two sons, Allen and Brian; a daughter, Sylvia Wynn; two grandchildren.

He had served in the Army and the Vermont National Guard. He attended Champlain College, receiving his bachelors degree in business management. He had been employed at MACRO International and more recently at Enterprise Rent-A-Car on the Barre-Montpelier Road. In 1995, he married Moira Ann Bench. Survivors include his wife; his father and mother; two brothers, Jason and Theodore III; his grandparents; his mother-in-law; aunts, uncles and cousins.

, 96, formerly of Montpelier, died Nov. 8. She was born in 1903 in Grau, Friesland, Netherlands and came to America when she was 10. She married Bertie Arthur Reed and they moved to Montpelier. He died in 1947. In 1949, she married Homer Gaudette, who died in 1987. They moved to Chicago, where she had worked for United Insurance Company. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Reed and David Reed; one daughter, Charlene Reed; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a devoted friend, Frances Cellura.

She was affiliated with the St. John the Evangelist Church in Northfield. Survivors include one son, Merton Jr.; a daughter, Margaret Plourde; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Berenger High School in N.J. and St. Barnabas Hospital School of Nursing in N.J. She worked as a registered nurse at the Presbyterian Hospital in Newark, N.J., Somerset Hospital and at Rutgers University. She moved to Vermont in 1951 and worked at Gifford Memorial Hospital and later at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1968. Survivors include a friend, Jessie Fiske.

In 1923, she married Waldo Bemis, who died in 1977. They owned Bemis Col and Oil, Bemis Variety Store and several apartment buildings in Hardwick. She was a member of the United Church in Hardwick. Survivors include a niece, Phyllis Zecchinelli; a great-niece, Judith Nudd; a great-nephew, Vincent Zecchinelli.

In 1922, she married Lawrence Downing Sr., who died in 1982. They operated the family farm in Washington until moving to Corinth in 1961. She was a homemaker. Survivors include five daughters, Mary Claflin, Madeline Martell, Shirley Tillotson, Arline Boudreau and Lyle Downing; a sister; a brother; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

She was secretary to the commissioner of the New York Banking Department at the World Trading Center and moved to Barre and became a committee assistant in the Vermont Legislative Council. She moved to PA in 1997. Survivors include a sister, Cecile Sargent; 12 nephews and nieces.

She moved to Barre in 1913, attended Barre schools and graduated from Spaulding High School. In 1929, she married Elsio Florucci, who died in 1976. She was a long-time member of the Hedding Methodist United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, David, Alexander and Alan; four daughters, Eleanor Carpenter, Margaret Grenier, Betsy Pierce and Kathleen Santa Maria; a brother; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
