, 79, of South Ryegate, died Aug. 8. Born in 1918 in South Ryegate, she was the daughter of John and Annie (Stephen) MacKinnon. She graduated from Woodsville High School. She was the co-owner with her husband, Clyde R. Davidson who died in 1994, of the C.R. Davidson Granite Co. in South Ryegate. She was a member of the South Ryegate Presbyterian Church and the Lake Wales Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one sister, Madine MacKinnon; two step-daughters, Mrs. Louise Doe and Mrs. Priscilla Mason; three step-sons, John, Robert and Paul Davidson; several step-grandchildren.

, 36, of Sharon, died Aug. 5. Born in 1960 in Hanover, N.H., he was the son of Harold and Sarah (Gibson) Donahue. He attended Sharon Graded School and graduated from South Royalton High School. He was employed at Split Ballbearing in Lebanon, N.H. and later became a self-employed carpenter working in the central Vermont area. Since 1989, he worked for Trumbull Nelson Construction Co. Inc., in Hanover and had his own woodworking ship. In 1993, he married Sandra Cahoon. He was assistant chief of the Sharon Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife; his mother; three step-daughters, Patricia Cahoon, Jessica Carregal and Ann Sargent; two brothers; three sisters; three step-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was the son of Luman and Dorothy (Hallett) Howe and attended Montpelier schools, graduating from Kimball Union Academy in Meredith, N.H. and from Colby College in Maine. He was employed as a banker in New York City, retiring in 1989. Survivors include his sisters, Priscilla Triebs and Carol Schlank; five nieces and four nephews.

In 1959, he married Rena Chainey. He was employed by Walker Motors and later with New England Life Insurance Co., New York Life Insurance Co. and with Midland Life Insurance Co. He recently became semi-retired. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Kim Robinson, Kathy Rubalcaba, Kelly Robinson and Karlyn Robinson; two sons, Timothy and Thomas; 11 grandchildren; a brother; a niece and nephew; many cousins.

He had served with the Army. He was a self-employed carpenter, handyman and a farmer. , 85, of South Woodbury, died Aug. 1. Born in 1912 in Evanston, ILL., she was the daughter of Joel Dubois Hunter and Beatrice Wigmore Hunter. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College and Northwestern University Medical School and practiced pediatric medicine in Massachusetts during the 1940s. In 1943, she married Paul Kuntz. In 1969, she married Gerald Ainsworth, they farmed in South Woodbury until his death in 1986. Survivors include four children, Sarah Dilworth, Joel Kuntz, Timothy Kuntz and Susan Sawyer; six grandchildren; one brother.

, 79, of Randolph, died Aug. 3. Born in 1918 in Landaff, N.H., she was the daughter of Harry and Agnes (Townsend) Morse. She received her early education in Barnard and Randolph schools and graduated from Randolph High School. In 1937, she married Walter Haupt, who died in 1994. She had worked as a nurse's aide at the Eastern Star Home (now the Joselyn House) in Randolph and part-time for several other Randolph businesses. She was a member of the Bethany United Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Waldo and Cathryn Fitzgerald; three grandsons; many nieces and nephews.

, 87, formerly of Barre and Williamstown, died Aug. 3. Born in 1909 in McIndoe Falls, she was the daughter of William and Evalona (Scott) Darling. She attended McIndoes Academy, graduated from Woodsville (N.H.) High School and received her teaching degree from Plymouth Normal School. In 1932, she married Alan Gilbert, who died in 1970. She taught in the West Barnet school system and the New Boston (N.H.) school system. She also substituted in the Barre school system and later worked at the former Rock of Ages Capacitor Plant and Sprague Electric Co. She attended the Barre Congregational Church. Survivors include a son, Alan Jr.; a daughter, Elaine Gilbert Bennett; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In 1924, she married Thomas Azur, who died in 1937. She was a communicant of St. Augustine Church. She was employed at Cross Bakery and at the Main Street School lunch program, retiring at age 74. She belonged to St. Monica Church and was a volunteer at the Central Vermont Hospital Gift Shop.
