Vermont Northeast Kingdom Genealogy Query - Message Board KENT I'm looking for help in finding Seth Oaks(1809-1868) possibly listed in a northern 1830 census. I found he got married in 1832, in Sutton, Vermont to Sarah Eldredge. Before that his father had died in 1813 in Kirby, Vermont, I think his mother left him and his younger sisters with her mother in Craftsbury or another town in the north. My ancestor and his younger brothers went to Athens with their mother in 1814 where they were 'bound out'. I don't know whether Seth was bound out, but am hoping he may have stayed up north. Is there a way to find out if he had been 'bound out'? thanks, Jennifer show email address
