BROWN
I am looking for information about the surname BROWN from Holland, Vermont and alternatively, Stanstead, Canada.
The goal is to find the identity of Walter Jesse Brown, brother or half brother of Charles Wesley Brown.
Both boys along with older brother H.H. (Henry Horace) Brown were sent
by train @ 1869 to be adopted or placed out in Lawerence, Kansas.
Walter was ‘adopted’ by Albert Shepherd and Henry was listed as a ward of James Shepherd,
brother of Albert in the 1870 census for Lawrence Douglas, Kansas.
