Joseph Lord and Lucy Chandler I am looking for information on the family of Joseph Lord and Lucy Chandler, both of whom were born in the Preston area of New London County, Connecticut and helped to settle the town of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. I am specifically interested in any information on Charles Lord, one of their sons, who was born on May 27, 1797 and later moved to New York City, where he got married and had a family. His birth is not listed in a history of St. Johnsbury written in 1912, but I have family bible information that says he was born in St. Johnsbury on the previously mentioned date. I am looking for anything to establish his birth or residence in St. Johnsbury, and his status as a son of Joseph Lord. Charles Lord is one of my great, great, great grandfathers.
