, 90, of Magog, Quebec, formerly of Newport, died on July 21, 2014. She was born on January 28, 1924, in Lambton, Quebec. On September 1, 1945, she married Roger Proteau, who survives her. She is also survived by her children: Pierrette and her husband, Rob, Marc, Claudette and her husband, Bob, Andie and her husband, Reg, Muguette and her husband, Denis, Carolle, and John and his wife, Kathy; her 16 grandchildren; and her 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters: Micheline and Jocelyne; and by one sister and six brothers. For the first 15 years of their married life, Mrs. and Mr. Proteau lived in Canada with their growing family. On June 30, 1960, they pulled up roots with their seven children and moved to Newport, on a dairy farm. They had one more child a few years later. Throughout her long life, Mrs. Proteau did many things; her talents were limitless. She loved to cook and bake, many times creating delicious meals from just a few simple ingredients. Her love of cooking was one of the many gifts that she passed down to her children. Mom could fix anything! She was very handy with tools and loved to make something new out of something broken. Her hands were never idle. She loved gardening and canning, proud that she had an abundance of vegetables for her family all winter long. When their children were grown, Mrs. and Mr. Proteau began spending their winters in Florida, and would return to Newport for the summer. As time went on, Mrs. Proteau’s health started to decline. She made the decision to move back to Canada where assisted living was a safer option for her. She lived there until the end of her life. At her final request, a funeral Mass at St. Jean Bosco in Magog was celebrated on July 28. Her burial will take place on Friday, August 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newport.

, 75, of Orleans died on August 14, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Barton. She was born on March 24, 1939, in Barnston, Quebec, to Ovide and Irene (Viens) Ducharme. She liked to travel, cook, knit, crochet, and take care of her flowers. She especially enjoyed feeding the birds and watching wildlife around her home. Her family enjoyed her homemade strawberry-rhubarb pies. She is survived by her children: Eugene Tinker and his significant other, Stephanie Gee, of New Ipswich, New Hampshire, Susan Cloutier and her husband, Michael, of Barton, and Homer Tinker of Brownington; her significant other, Paul Montague of Orleans; her grandchildren: Rebecca and her husband, Chad Saari, Samantha Tinker, Zachary Tinker, Christopher Wells and his significant other, Jamie Pell, Geromy Wells, and Alexandria Cloutier; her great-grandchildren: Tommy, Geno and Paige Saari, Avah Frasca, Joshua, Brooke and Melanie Wells, and Jazmin Wells; her brother and sisters: Paul Ducharme of Leesburg, Florida, Lucille LeBlanc and her husband, Louis, of Clinton, Massachusetts, and Georgette Stratton and her husband, George, of Beebe, Quebec; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by the following brothers: Gerard, Leo, and Claude Ducharme. , 46, died suddenly at his home in Littleton, New Hampshire, on August 6, 2014. He had been struggling with MS (multiple sclerosis) for the last 16 years. He was born to Al and Nancy Wright and raised in Littleton. Mr. Wright enjoyed hunting and fishing trips to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His pride and joy was his granddaughter, Arianna, and his motorcycle. He is survived by his parents, Al and Nancy Wright; two brothers: Aldis Wright and his wife, Heather, and Anthony Wright, all of Littleton. He leaves the love of his life, Vanessa English; their daughter, Patricia, and son, Nick, and his stepson, Eric, and a very special granddaughter, Arianna. of Craftsbury died on August 7, 2014, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 8, 1960, in New Britain, Connecticut. Mr. Allen was an avid hunter, golfer and horseshoe player. He enjoyed traveling to Florida, taking cruises, and spending time with close friends and family. His love for his children and grandchildren was evident in their return of love and support during his life. He was known as a friendly and caring man, always willing to help anyone that asked or those that didn’t. His life’s work of forestry management was one of his passions. Whether it was cutting firewood or working closely with a forester to help preserve the beautiful Vermont forests, it was hard and labor intensive but he was dedicated on even his worst days. His custom baseball bats gave many professional athletes the opportunity to experience his craftsmanship. He was a member of the AMVETS, NRA, and Copley Golf Association, where he mentored many young golfers during his time spent there, sharing his passion and expertise. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Keoppen of Leesburg, Florida; his sisters: Deby Lutterschmidt and her husband, Gabe, of Oakwood, Illinois, and Corrina Allen of Tampa, Florida; his sons: Jason Allen of Barre and Shaun Allen and his wife, Misty, of Craftsbury; six grandchildren: Matthew, Nicholas, Natalie, Lillian, McKenzie, and Devin Allen; several nieces and nephews; one great-nephew, Damien Burns; and by a special niece, Amber Martin. , 94, of Holland died peacefully on August 9, 2014, in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He was born on November 26, 1919, in St. Theodore d’Acton Vale, Quebec, to Omer and Yvonne (Dion) Desautels. In 1950, he married the former Claire St. Amand, who predeceased him on July 8, 2006. He was a carpenter during his lifetime and was employed by Union Local 397. His hobbies included playing cards, and he enjoyed his garden and was very proud of it. He loved family gatherings. He built the first drive thru McDonald’s in Connecticut, and he was a big fan of professional wrestling. He is survived by his children: Robert Desautels and his wife, Ginny, of Plainville, Connecticut, Richard Desautels and his wife, Carrie, of Morgan, Rita Landry and her husband, Jeannot, of Holland, and Ronald Desautels and his wife, Robin, of Lebanon, Maine; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his siblings: Gilles Desautels of Richford, Jean-Noel Desautels of Richford, Laurent Desautels of Texas, Albert Desautels of Enosburg Falls, and Germaine and Jacqueline, both of Canada; his half-sister Marthe of Massachusetts; and by several nieces and nephews. On October 20, 1962, he married Laurette LaMadeleine, who survives him. He was employed for Rodd’s Roofing in St. Johnsbury for 42 years. He loved watching NASCAR and his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. He liked to putter around the house and was always available to give a helping hand to family and friends. He was a quiet person who had a charming smile that affected all who he came into contact with. , 93, a 61-year resident of Greensboro, died on Monday July 7, 2014, in Tarpon Spring, Florida. She was born on January 16, 1921, in Glover, daughter of the late Benjamin and Lillian (Chadburn) Thompson. She attended Parrish school in Glover. On June 20, 1939, she married Roland David Gray in Glover. Mrs. Gray stayed at home to care for her young children. In 1953, she and her husband purchased a dairy farm in Greensboro which they operated for more than 16 years. In 1969, when the farm was sold, they moved to Greensboro village. She worked at Hardwick Knitwear and became involved in the cottage industry knitting for Moriarty Hats. She was one of several ladies to testify before a Congressional committee in 1985 in defense of the right to participate in a cottage industry without paying union dues to the International Ladies Garment Workers. The union felt that these women who were using knitting machines in their own homes to produce products for a distributor should be required to pay union dues. Congress subsequently passed a law protecting the right of those in cottage industries to do so without union interference She was a member of the Hope Community Church in South Walden. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, flower gardening and spending the winter months in Florida. One of her passions in life was children. In addition to her own family, she cared for many other children in town and was affectionately known as “Grammy Gene.” She is survived by three children: Sherwood Gray and his wife, Barbara, of Boyd, Texas, Shirley Lyles and her husband, James, of Bethesda, Maryland, and Stewart Gray and his wife, Dianna, of Barre; seven grandchildren: David and Michael Lyles, Laurie Bean, Tammy Jernigan, Scott Gray, Scott Greene and Kim Greene; several great-grandchildren; her sisters: June St. Louis of Greensboro Bend, and Katherine Dean of St. Albans; her brother-in-law Roger Gray of Willimantic, Connecticut; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and her companion of many years, Kenneth Brown Sr. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Roland, in 2000; two sons: Sherman and Stanley Gray; a daughter, Priscilla Greene; a grandson, Keith Gray; and by six siblings including her brothers: Carroll, George, and Merrill Thompson, and her sisters: Lila Tyler, Ila Gray and Muriel Thompson. , prominent Hartford, Connecticut, attorney and gritty Vermont gentleman farmer, died on July 24, 2014, at his home in East Burke. He was 78. He was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Throughout most of his adult life, he traveled back and forth on Interstate 91 between his career practicing law in Hartford, and his home and family in Vermont. A man of simple pleasures and humorous rituals, he often claimed he had a favorite rest stop midway between work and home where he would change out of his suit and back into his cut-off jeans. As an attorney, he was known for his competence and integrity; and as a regular skier on Burke Mountain, he was known for his silver beard, chairlift cigars, and classic alpine style. He graduated from St. Michael’s College, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1959, and then received his law degree from Boston University Law School. In 1969, he became a founding partner in the law firm Michelson and Kane, now known as Michelson, Kane, Royster and Barger in Hartford. Mr. Kane met Linda (Bucciarelli), an ER nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford. They married in 1968 and started a family in Broad Brook, Connecticut. Their enthusiasm for gardening and the outdoors quickly outgrew their Connecticut yard. While maintaining his career in Hartford, in 1977 they moved the family to East Burke, and built the house on Darling Hill Road where he lived for the rest of his life. During their 40-plus years in the Northeast Kingdom, they raised their three children as well as many generations of sheep, pigs, turkeys, chickens, barn cats, horses, and llamas, and two dogs. A charismatic storyteller and lifelong learner, Mr. Kane loved to tell and re-tell tales, and relay mostly accurate facts on any topic from the U.S. Constitution to the proper technique for stacking a cord of wood. He was in his best spirits skiing the east side of Burke Mountain, paddling a canoe on a river, or sipping a beer on the back deck with his wife, family, and lifelong friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, and their three children and their families: Bridget Kane, Michael Kane his wife, Kristine, and Cathleen Kane and her husband, Stefan, and his granddaughter Zora Kane-Tornquist, who adored her “Pa.” He also leaves cousins, several sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and a tight community of friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother Howard Kane, and their parents, Howard and Norma (O’Melia) Kane. In his memorial directions, his Yankee thrift and impish sense of humor were evident with his instructions, “If you elect to lay me out, don’t put me in a suit. Comfortable clothes please, but don’t waste a good sweater.” A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, August 23, at the Union Meeting House in Burke Hollow, with a “large and boisterous party” to follow, as per his last requests.

, 43, of Riverton, Wyoming, died suddenly on July 28, 2014, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming, having sustained a traumatic brain injury from a fall while traveling with his beloved Arapaho sister, Alberta Little. He was buried at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery on the Wind River Reservation following a traditional Native American mass and wake. Robert (Little Crow) began his journey on February 7, 1971, with his Arapaho family. At one and a half years old, he was adopted by Indian Health Service physician Dr. John Manges and his wife, Carol. He and his new brother, Chris, moved to Vermont, where he loved tractors, trucks, the outdoors, and drawing. He grew up to be a determined cross-country runner at Lyndon Institute, an enthusiastic swimmer, and a fearless downhill skier. He enjoyed trout fishing and won awards for his forestry skills. But more than anything, he was known for being big-hearted and loyal to his friends and family. His sense of humor was contagious! Those who loved him in Vermont always wished him well as he reconnected with his Arapaho roots and became a dedicated truck driver. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he worked on the Arapaho Ranch in Wyoming and as a Sho-Rap wildland firefighter. He received his CDL and heavy equipment training at Utah State University. As a driver with hazmat endorsements, he went on to a career with various long haul trucking companies including Dick Simon and, most recently, Wind River Transport. He leaves behind his loving family and friends: his only son, John Luke Manges of St. Louis, Missouri; his mother Carol Krochak and his stepdad Mark Kilburn of Burke Hollow; his brother Chris Manges and his sister-in-law Desiree Hertz, and his nieces Kate and Erin O’Farrell of Burke Hollow; his sister Tayva and his brother-in-law Steve Young, and his nephew Nolan and his niece Norah Young of Derry, New Hampshire; his sister Breanna Kilburn and her fiancé, Joshua Barnes, and his niece Sycada of Danville; his uncle and aunt, Tom and Jackie Manges of West Burke; his cousins: Lindsey and Christian Gauderer of Burlington, and Jordan Manges of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands; his aunt and uncle, Molly and Bill Boyle, and family, of Bristol, Tennessee; his aunt Marianne Koehler of Flanders, New Jersey; his cousin Karen Quinn and family of Galloway, New Jersey; his cousin Scott Schaefer and family of Succasunna, New Jersey; his stepmom Jeanne Desrochers and her husband John Miller of Coventry; his best buddy Joshua Doyle of Jericho; and many friends in the Northeast Kingdom and in Maine. , 75, of Morgan died on August 1, 2014, in Burlington, surrounded by her family, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. She was a daughter of Samuel and Grace (Taylor) Curtis of Morgan. She was born in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, and moved to Vermont with her family when she was young, graduating from Newport High School in 1957. She worked as a receptionist for 28 years at Northeast Kingdom Mental Health, retiring from there in 2002, and started working as a medical transcriptionist at North Country Hospital until her surgery in January of 2013. She loved being with her children and grandchildren and made sure they knew they could rely on her for anything. She enjoyed going to visit relatives in Cape Cod, going to baseball games, watching the Red Sox, fishing, shopping, gambling, knitting, baking, and feeding wildlife. She is survived by four children: James Millett of Brownington, Cam Green and her partner, Ramiro, of Derby, Robin Scott and her husband, Ed, of Richmond, and Bud McMullen and his wife, Jocelyn, of Morgan; her precious grandchildren: Dylan Doane, Courtney Millett, JJ Millett, Sasha Green, Sawyer Green, Saigelyn Green, Christopher Martel, Ian Martel, Isabel Scott, Brooke McMullen and Autumn McMullen; one great-grandchild, Kaylee Farnsworth; her siblings: Clemence LeBlond, Bud Curtis and his wife, Helen, of Texas, Philip Curtis and his wife, Susan, of Massachusetts, Nancy Green, Craig Curtis, and David Curtis, and their spouses, all of Vermont; and by several cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends: Shirley Lutz, a cousin, of Cape Cod in Massachusetts, Iola Barnard of Morgan, and Lisa Burke of Coventry. , 78, of Derby died on July 27, 2014, surrounded by friends and family. He was born on the family farm in Derby on August 25, 1935, to Ira and Beatrice (Coutts) Aldrich. He married a local girl, Joyce French of Rock Island, Quebec, in 1964 and for the past 50 years, they have lived on the family farm. Mr. Aldrich was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was very active in the local congregation as well as in their building construction program. He enjoyed sharing his beliefs with others and he especially liked talking about the future. He was a “jack of all trades” and had a wide variety of interests such as farming, operating his sawmill, woodworking, gardening and sitting on the front porch with family and friends. He kept up with the “neighborhood news” and enjoyed having visitors and meeting new people. He was the oldest of five children and leaves behind his daughter, Leah, and his siblings: Bob Aldrich and his wife, Betty, of Derby, Dean and his wife, Chris, of Orleans, and Beatrice Nelson and her husband, Roger, of Derby; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his younger brother Bill; his grand-dog Dakota; and by his wife. , 76, of Brownington died suddenly on August 1, 2014, at his home. He was born on June 11, 1938, in Sullivan, New Hampshire, to Henry and Emily (Bernier) Connolly. On June 1, 1988, he married Marcia Jacobs, who survives him. Mr. Connolly was a self-employed logger and farmer. He was an avid lover of horse pulling. He was a member of the Eastern Draft Pulling Association and the Northeast Kingdom Pulling Association. He enjoyed shooting his guns, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Connolly of Brownington; his children: Steven Connolly of Winchester, New Hampshire, and Lynn Bodo and her husband, Todd, of Moosup, Connecticut; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and by his siblings: Roland Fontaine of Cannan, New Hampshire, Don Connolly of Northfield, and Henry Connolly and his companion, Jane Stone, of Brookfield, Pauline Menard and Deb Shambo, both of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Mildred Henderson. , 50, of Coventry died suddenly on August 2, 2014, in Derby. He was born on September 7, 1963, in Newport, and was the beloved son of John and Helena (Perron) De La Bruere. After graduating from North Country Union High School in 1981, and New Hampshire Vocational Technical College in 1983, he entered the family business and worked for his father as a Master Electrician at Newport Electric. In 1989, he left to formulate Gate’s Electric, Inc. with business partner Dennis Lantagne. Outside of work, he enjoyed teaching, including classes for aspiring electricians at the North Country Career Center. He was also fond of the outdoors, spending most weekends on the lake or in the forest. A proud father, Mr. De Le Bruere never missed an opportunity to cheer on his children at the rink, on the track, or at the field. He was happiest when he was helping people. His children called him “Superman” because he would always drop whatever he was doing to come to the rescue. When a friend or family member was in need, he was always the first person to call on. He always said his purpose in life was to lighten the burdens of others, and it was a purpose fulfilled. Members of the community likely met Mr. De La Bruere on a late night call to restore power and to keep their families warm, or giving light to their new dream home. He brought warmth and light into every life he touched, and he will be sorely missed. He is survived by his sons: Mitchell, Collin, and Spencer; the mother of his children, Carla; his beloved granddaughters: Gabrielle and Lily; his parents: John and Helena De La Bruere; his brothers: Alain and his wife, Irene, and their children: Alaina, Olivia, Donovan, and Aaron; Bert and his friend, Katrina, and his children: Kyle and Lori; and by his sister Louise Whipple and her husband, Don, and their children: Jonathan and Sydney. He had a special friendship with Robert Desrochers and Daniele Simpson, Richard and Louise Bouffard and their children, his business partner Dennis Lantagne and his wife, Annette, and his dear friend Sheila McFarlane. , 37, of Island Pond died suddenly on July 31, 2014, in Morgan. She was born on August 13, 1976, to Joseph and Lise (Archambault) Marcoux. She graduated from North Country Union High School in the Class of 1995. She worked at Tivoly in Derby Line and Poulin Lumber in Derby. Her hobbies included drawing, camping, fishing, and playing music, especially the guitar and keyboard. She is survived by her children: Zachary Hawkins of Island Pond, Julia Graves of Holland, Ethan Graves of Holland, and Noah Twofoot of Brownington; her mother Lise Archambault and her companion, Percy Lagasse, of Derby; her father Joseph Marcoux and his wife, Carol, of Newport Center; her brother Shannon Marcoux and his wife, Teresa, of Cabot; and by numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins. , 89, of Brownington died on July 29, 2014, in Burlington, after a short illness. She was the oldest of nine children of Ezekiel and Cecile (Dumont) Perry. She had a longtime love of cooking, having been a chef at the East Side Restaurant in Newport for 25 years. She then worked at the Maple Lane Day Care Center for ten years. She enjoyed making wedding cakes and birthday cakes for all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed making doughnuts for her family and friends. The joys of her life were her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. They made her face light up. She would always put others’ needs before her own. On January 18, 1945, she married the love of her life, Harold A. Lyon. Together they had five children. She is survived by one daughter, Ruby Thibault, and her husband, Michael, of Burlington; three sons: John Lyon and his wife, Lorraine, of Derby, Jessie Lyon and his wife, Connie, of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, and Robert Lyon and his wife, Rose, of Brownington; several grandchildren: Aurie Thibault, Jed Thibault and his wife, Allie, Daniel Lyon and his wife, Jessica, Amanda Dagesse and her husband, Gerard, Melanie Munroe and her husband, Chris, Ryan Lyon and his wife, Kristan, Sarah Merrill and her husband, Ron, Jared Lyon, James Lyon, Brandy Robillard and her husband, Zachary, Michael Cyr and his wife, Heather, and Matthew Lyon; and by her great-grandchildren: Reese Thibault, Bethany Lyon, EmmaLou Lyon, Christopher Dagesse, Miles Munroe, Trevin Merrill, Sean Merrill, Ethan Robillard, Nicholas Robillard, and Hayden Robillard. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Lyon; her parents; her daughter, Sally Lyon; and by several brothers and sisters: Blanche Coates, Maurice Perry, Loretta McCoy, Noel Perry, Francis Perry, Leon Perry, and Mary Ann Darling. A memorial service will be held at the Brownington Congregational Church on Thursday, August 7, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Brownington Village Cemetery. , 86, of Coventry died peacefully on July 27, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 10, 1928, in St. Victor de’Beauce, Quebec, to Benoni and Delina (Doyon) Prevost. On May 28, 1952, she married Marcel Quirion, who predeceased her on October 31, 1985. They owned and operated the family dairy farm in Coventry and they also owned and operated the former Royal Restaurant in Newport and the Newport Redemption Center.  Mrs. Quirion was also a cook for Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton for 11 years. She was an excellent seamstress and had many other hobbies: knitting, crocheting, gardening, embroidery, making all sorts of crafts, baking, and cooking.  Her entire life was devoted to the Lord and to her loving family. She was an active member of the Daughters of Isabella since 1954 and St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She is survived by her children: Helene Chilafoux and her husband, Rance, of Coventry, Louis Quirion and his wife, Leigh, of New Haven, Connecticut, Luc Quirion and his wife, Rhonda, of Newport, Roger Quirion and his wife, Christine, of Holland, Julie Carrier and her husband, Peter, of Coventry, and Robert Quirion and his wife, Tracie, of Coventry; by her grandchildren: Alan Desroches and his wife, Lisa, of Coventry, Nicole Brewer and her husband, Jim, of North Troy, Gilles Gentley and his wife, Sarah, of Hardwick, Jeff Gentley and his wife, Angie, of Waterbury, Andrew Ouimette of Newport, Erica Ouimette of Newport, Erin Yarborough and her husband, Trey, of Michigan, Jennifer Davis and her husband, Jeremy, of Derby Line, Michael Quirion and his wife, Moira, of Newport, Kyle Quirion of Plymouth, New Hampshire, Alisha Clark and her husband, Drew, of Burlington, Ann Harnish and her husband, Joe, of West Lebanon, New Hampshire, Eric Carrier and his wife, Heather, of Lisbon, New Hampshire, Marc Quirion of Coventry, and Patric Quirion of Coventry; by numerous great-grandchildren; by her siblings: Leandre Prevost of St. Thomas Daquin, Quebec, Leonard Prevost of Beloeil, Quebec, Hugues Prevost of Longueil, Quebec, Theresa Plante of Newport, and Claire Charpentier of St. Hyacinthe, Quebec; and by her son-in-law Rock Desroches and his wife, Judy, of Irasburg. She was predeceased by her son Gilles Quirion on July 13, 1974; her daughter Suzanne Desroches on December 30, 1998; by her son-in-law Roger Ouimette on April 24, 2004; and by her siblings: Alban Prevost, Jean-Marc Prevost, Gerard Prevost, Yolande Beaudoin, Marilouis Prevost, and Patrick Prevost. Funeral services were held on August 1 at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport where a Mass was.  Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. , 48, of West Charleston died on July 28, 2014, in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She was born on January 7, 1966, in Newport to Gilbert and Linda (Murphy) Hill. She graduated from North Country Union High School in the class of 1984 and was a member of the National Honor Society.  She attended Lyndon State College. Ms. Ruggieri enjoyed doing craftwork, gardening, housekeeping, and collecting antiques. She is survived by her children: Travis Bartley and his wife, Johanna, Logan Bartley and his fiancé, Mariah Goodell, and Drew Bartley, all of Derby; by her parents, Gilbert and Linda Hill, of Lowell; by her boyfriend, Randy Sheltra, of West Charleston; by her grandchildren Madyson, Colton, Denver, and Paislee; by her sisters Lisa Pion of Lowell and Erin Oeschger of Derby; and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
