Beloved wife of the late Ronald Ward and dear mother of Jimmie (Norma Jean), Murray (Barbara), Margaret (Ken), and Rickey (Karen). Cherished grandmother of Penny (Ivan), Laurie (Michael), Paula (Troy), Sandy (Scott), Andrew (Angela), Brandon (Julie), and Melina (Brian). Great grandmother of Ryan, Kyle and Kevin Cork, Hillary and Sean Paintin, Chad and Cody Bean, Arielle Ward, Jaxson Ward and Jacob Eagle. Ardice was predeceased by her great granddaughter Arianna Ward and her great grandson Gerrick Ward. She also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Germaine was born on February 24, 1935 in Rexton, New Brunswick, daughter of Ida (Vautour) and Alexander Richard. She was the beloved wife of Vance Patterson for 60 years and loving mother to Kimberley (Robert Dean) and Wendy (Terry Barrett). She was a cherished grandmother of Brandon MacDonald, Zachary and Joshua Sauvé, and step-grandmother of Chelsey Barrett, Kyle Barrett, Ryan Dean, Christopher Dean, Brittaney Dean. She also leaves to mourn her sisters: Joanne (Brian Walsh), Marie (the late Edmond Babin), Loretta (the late Larry Jennings), and brothers, Vincent (the late Shirley), Paul (Nelly) as well as, a long list of nieces, nephews and many friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of husband, father, and grandfather, Everett (Joe) George McComb, on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the age of 86 years, following his battle with cancer.
Joe leaves to mourn his wife Sylvia Ewing, his children: Kathy (Barry), Danny (Sue), Michael (Joyce), and Janna (Vic); his sisters Fern and Jewell, his sister-in-law Joan, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Judy and Earl Stanley, as well as eight grandchildren and their spouses, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Home in Richmond at the age of 104. She was born in Sherbrooke in 1914 and the family moved to Richmond in 1939. Bernice was the oldest of 10 children. She was the daughter of the late John Gordon
Beattie and the late Elizabeth M (Lizzie) Walker, she was predeceased by her brothers Malcom (the late Frances Nadeau), Donald (the late Thelma Faulkner), Kenneth (the late Lyla Stimson), Elwin, twin brothers Hilton and Merton, and her sisters, Doris (the late Kenneth Cross), Jean and Shirley (the late Ross Lockwood).
Bernice leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by family and friends as well as the staff at the Wales Home. She will be missed by her loving daughters Marilyn (Paul Pagnuelo), Diane (William Gifford) and Faye (Stanley Campbell), her stepsons Kevin Tuite (France) and Stephan Tuite (Lynne). Pre-deceased by her parents Hamilton Milford and Margaret (nee Fuller) and siblings Frederick Fuller (Jill), Martha Russell Chamberlain (Ken d.) and John Hamilton Fuller (Sandra). Lu was a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, and friend!
Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, on August 31st, 1939, her affinity with the Eastern Townships brought her to Bishop’s University in 1956, graduating in 1959 with her BA. Back to get her High School Teaching Certificate in 1960, a lifelong athlete, Lu participated in various sports and a number of University Clubs and became a loyal and dedicated fan of the Bishop’s Gaiters.
In 1967 Lu decided on another path, enrolling in the McGill University Graduate School of Library Sciences and earned an MLS in 1969. For the next 26 years, she was a Reference Librarian at the McLennan Reference Library at McGill, active in the AMUL and served as its President.
In 1995 she retired to Lennoxville in the Eastern Townships, and in 1997 embarked on “her third career” volunteering as Archivist and past President of the Lennoxville-Ascot Historical & Museum Society at “Uplands”, the Georgian-style mansion that houses the museum and archives. She gloried in the Eastern Townships way of life and her many friends and neighbours!
So many of us will miss this amazing woman.

Gordon, of Ayer's Cliff, passed away peacefully in the palliative care unit of Magog Hospital, on Monday, November 5th, 2018 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by his parents Rose (Markovitch) and Lawrence Johnson as well as his brothers Howard and Robert. Also predeceased by his loving wife Sandra Hughes.
Born in England, Gordon arrived in Canada on the Queen Mary at age 5 and grew up on the family farm in Hatley. He spent the majority of his life in Ayer's Cliff where he made his living as a truck driver. An avid hockey fan, he often ran the local hockey pool and thoroughly enjoyed morning debates over coffee, especially if discussing his beloved Maple Leafs. He coached hockey and won the midget provincial championship in 1972. He began running in 1977 and was a regular fixture on the local road racing scene. Over the years he ran 68 marathons, including the Boston Marathon 17 times. He was very active and often biked or hiked and also enjoyed practicing photography. His love of sports carried over to writing a sports column for The Stanstead Journal.
He leaves to mourn his children Ronald, Sue-Anne (Randall Lynch), Paul (Cindy Keet) and Melissa (Roch Potvin). He was predeceased by his firstborn son Randall. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren: Ryan & Danyl; Amber & Cameron; Griffin, Phoebe and Marina; as well as Rose. He will be missed by his stepchildren: Scott, Tricia (Neil McComb) and Terry (Liane Courtemanche) Smith and step grandchildren: Gabrielle, Julia, Tara; Tyler and Trevor; Brendan and Erika. He also leaves other relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral home, 900 Clough St, Ayer’s Cliff, QC, J0B 1C0, on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life.

She was the cherished wife of Stanley Lewis Holmes for 58 years and loving mother of Kelly (Tony), William, Stanley Jr., Robert and Erin (Scott); her grandchildren Sarina, Chelsey, Kallie, Trent, James, Samantha, Sherry-Lee, Chanelle, Shayla, Levi and Dawson; her great-grandchildren Brielle, Mycah, Oaklen, as well as Marvin Kullberg and Dylan Potvin.
She also leaves to mourn her loving brother Louis Tulley, sister-in-law Mary-Jane Tulley (late Phillip Tulley) and her devoted niece Sarah Tulley, as well as her brother-in-law Robert (Eleanor), the late Michael, the late Errol (Muriel) and the many loving nieces and nephews from California and Ottawa. Myra Boushel (nee Mary Theresa Fleming)
....show , age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke, Quebec. She was born February 18, 1931, in Glasgow, Scotland, to Ellen (Lowe) and John Fleming. She received her teacher training in Glasgow, Scotland where she taught for several years prior to immigrating to Montreal, Canada, where she met and later married Frank Boushel in August, 1955. Her elementary teaching career spanned three decades and included contracts at St. Malachy’s Elementary School in Montreal, Marymount Elementary in Sherbrooke, and various Catholic High Schools in Toronto where she worked as a religion teacher. After moving to Toronto in the early 1980’s she worked as a volunteer for the Catholic New Times Newspaper, and later moved to Peterborough to take up a post as a pastoral animator at St. Alphonsus Church.
Mother, teacher, traveler, and spiritual explorer, Myra, as she was affectionately known by her friends and family, embraced life with a passion and vigour that left a profound mark on everyone she encountered. Her greatest passions were her children, friends, music, gardening and reading.
She leaves behind her six children Kevin Boushel, Francis Boushel, Anne-Marie Boushel, Robert Boushel, Siobhan Boushel, and Sean Boushel, 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, along with 8 nieces and nephews.

Note of change: A funeral service will take place at St. Patrick’s Church (20 Gordon St. Sherbrooke) on May 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service.
