Passed away at the CHUS Hôtel-DIeu, March 28, 2017, at the age of 92 years and 7 months, Mr. Léopold Veilleux, husband of the late Estelle St-Pierre, from Sawyerville. Son of the late Louis Veilleux and the late Yvonne Bernard.
Visitations will be held at the salle Léopold Veilleux, Les Douceurs de l’érable, 50, rte 253, Sawyerville, QC, J0B 3A0, on Friday April 21, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Also on Saturday April 22, 2017 from 9h30 to 10h45. The funeral service will followed at 11am in Notre-Dame du Saint-Rosaire Church, Sawyerville (4 Randboro Rd. Sawyerville, QC). Burial at a later date in the Notre-Dame du Saint-Rosaire cemetery.
Mr. Veilleux leaves to mourn his children Luc (Rita Vachon), Richard (Lyne Beaudoin), Lorraine, Julien (Linda Cyr), Maryse (Réjean Labranche), Benoit (Johanne Corbeil), Jean-Pierre et Nathalie (Stanley Taylor), his 24 grandchildren and his great grandchildren. Mr. Veilleux was the brother of the late Gérard, Gisèle (the late Fernand Dusseault), the late Raymond (Hermance Gaulin) and the late Madeleine. He was also the brother in-law of the late Thérèse St-Pierre (the late Cyrinus Bellavance), the late Léo St-Pierre (the late Jeannette Lachance), the late Madeleine St-Pierre (the late Léo Labrecque), Marie-Berthe St-Pierre (the late Lionel Hallé), Jeanne St-Pierre (the late Édouard Duhaime), the late Victorienne St-Pierre (the late Alfred Campagna), Aline St-Pierre (the late Léo Boislard), Réal St-Pierre (Fernande Boislard), Ghislaine St-Pierre (Henri-Boislard), the late Jean-Marc St-Pierre, Antonine St-Pierre (Gérard Roy) and Marie-Louis St-Pierre (Colette Lamadeleine) and many other nephews, nieces and friends.

Sadly we announce the passing of Elaine Ross May on Monday, May 8th, 2017 at the age of 92. Elaine was born in Montreal to Gertrude Budge Ross and George Allen Ross. She grew up in Westmount and attended Trafalgar School. In 1945 she graduated from the University of Toronto School of Occupational Therapy. She married William Weir May in 1947 who predeceased her. Throughout her career, she worked at the Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Queen Mary Veterans’, the Montreal General and Pasteur Hospitals, Montreal Rehabilitation Institute and Recreation for the Handicapped.
In 1972, Elaine founded the Montreal United Workshop Association and in 1976 was awarded the Order of Canada for her work re-integrating residents with challenges as productive members of society. She was a tireless community volunteer for numerous groups and causes. Elaine was an inspiration to all who knew her - full of new innovative ideas - always off on another adventure. Well remembered for her antics of scavenger hunts, tipping canoes, catching frogs and kick the can.
Elaine is survived by her children William (Valerie), Shirley Tagalik (James), Diane (Robert Bean) and grandchildren Cameron (Jessica), Kukik (Darryl), Duncan, May (Donny), Keely (Dan), Olivia, Ryan (Rebecca); great-grandchildren Natalie, Quasa, Qaviajak, Alexander, Blake, Aria and Angutimmarik.
A celebration of her life will take place in July at Weir Memorial Park in Ogden. She requested that tax deductible contributions be made for the beautification of Weir Memorial Park, 125 Descente 20, Ogden, QC, J0B 3E3.

She was the daughter of the late Alfred Munday and the late Violet Cotton. She leaves to mourn her two children Lawrence ”Larry” Cutler (Pierrette Charland) and Christine Cutler (Larry Brazel), her grandchildren Laura, Ian, Colleen and Michael and also her brother and sisters and their families.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ken Wilson at the CHUS –Fleurimont, on June 30th 2017 in his 64th year.
Ken was loved by many and made friends wherever he went. He will be greatly missed. He enjoyed hunting, softball, darts and the great outdoors. He was proud of and loved his children very much. He is survived by his children Brian (Karen), Amanda (Raymond) and Ivan; his sister Brenda; his grandchildren Aiden, Rylee, Aliyah and Brandon; his stepchildren Jessica (Michel) and David (Danielle) Elliott; his foster children Samuel Wheeler, Amélie and Marc Beauvais.
Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral Home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 9 to 11 am. A funeral service will follow. Interment at the Brookside Cemetery in Fitch Bay.

Mary passed away peacefully on July 8th 2017 at the Youville Hospital. Daughter of the late Martha and Alex McVetty. Predeceased by her husband Lindsay Nutbrown and her sister Marion Williams. She is survived by her sons Eric, Mark and Gary (Marie-Claude Guilbert), her brother, Keith (Patty), serveral nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff of the Youville Hospital for their dedication and care given to Mary.
Visitation will take place at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Friday July 21 from 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, July 22 from 10 to 11 am at the Lennoxville United Church followed by the funeral service at 11 am. Interment will be at the Johnville Cemetery following the reception.

A service will be held at the Wales Home on July 29 at 3:30pm in the main living room, followed by the burial at the South Durham United cemetery.

Kathy passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the CHUS Fleurimont.
Born November 15, 1932 in Verdun Quebec. Daughter of Florence (Vickers) and Neil Arnott.
Beloved mother of Richard Stott. Predeceased by her sons, Steven, Dale and Gary.
Kathy will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Cory (Marie), Jesse (Pam), Stephanie (Gerhard Schirmacher), Rebecca (Andrea Bianchi) and great-grandchildren, Ella, Aiden, Loey, Riley, Mila, Jeremy, Alessandro, and Anita.
Survived by her brother Walter Arnott (Pierrette Legendre), nephews Glenn (Louise) and Russell (Sharon) Dave Corey (late Joanne Arnott), and Michael Quigley (Susan) and her aunt Elsie (Vickers) Kerr.
Visitation will take place at the Trenholm United Church, # 96 Rte. 243, St. Felix de Kingsey, QC on Tuesday, July 25 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service. Rev. Reginald Jennings officiating.

Gladys Arlene Buckland Sharman residing at the Grace Village in her 95th year passed away after a long fulfilling life.
Gram as she was affectionately known by all was an avid knitter, traveller and a baby rocker. Gram was always a fighter. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will remember her bear hugs and kisses and of course your feet will never be cold with those awesome slippers.
Beloved mother to Alan (Beverly), Brenda (Rodney Kent) and the late Rhonda. Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Many thanks to all who had a part in her care and to the Porch Dollies may you always enjoy the sun on your face and the ice cream on your chin.

Bruce passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on July 30, 2017, at the age of 72. Son of the late Frances Carroll and Harold Aldrich of Huntingville, QC.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Suzanne, of 36 years, his children; Steven and Naomi; his big brother Dwayne and his wife Shirley; his little sister Carol and her husband Don. As well as a father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and so many other relatives and friends that he cared deeply about.
The family wishes to thank the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu for their wonderful care.
