It is with much sadness that our family announces the passing of Deanna at her own home in Bury, Quebec on December 8th, 2017 at the age of 75 years with her loving husband and her adoring family members by her side. Deanna was the daughter of Douglas Harrison and Glenna Hooker (Predeceased). Dearly missed by her husband, Jacques Lizotte and sons, Shane Lizotte (Cheryl Nicholson), David Lizotte (Caroline Fortin), and grandmother to Dakota Lizotte, Seejay Lizotte, Alex Johnson, and Tommy Johnson.
Deanna will be greatly missed by her brother, Darcey Harrison (Isobel Bake), her nieces and nephews, Debbie Harrison (Lorne Crawford), Dwayne Harrison (Karen Blouin), and many great nieces and nephews, family, and dearest friends.
The family would like at this time to thank the staff at the CHUS Fleurimont and the CLSC Cookshire for the wonderful care offered.

Wife of the late Herbert Taylor. Mother of Cynthia (Chris Leahy) and Michael (Joanne Besmargian), grandmother of Matt (Angela McIntosh), the late Reuben, Luke (Stephanie Boyd) and Abe Leahy (Katie Quirk), Rebecca, Bridget (Kristofer Smith) and Evan Taylor and great grandmother to Taylor Leahy. Sister of the late Doris (the late Royce Taylor), Edmond, Joyce (the late Robert Burns), May (the late Carleton Morrill), John (Louise Morin), the late Joseph, the late Stanley (Barbara Rutkowski), Betty (the late Richard Mason), Joan (Maged Beshai), William (Mireille Picard) and the late Walter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Our beloved mother, Barbara Jean (Chadsey) Thorne, passed away peacefully at the Grace Village on December 13, 2017. She will be dearly missed by all her children: Brian (Glenda), Stephanie, Dan, Mark, Shannon (David) and Andrew (Sheena); her grandchildren: Amanda (Steve), Paul (Alain), Blaine (Marie-Eve), Jay (Emily), Corey (Gemini), Simon, Eric (their Mom Lorraine), and Chad; her great grandchildren: Brooke, Claire, Ally, Lily-Rose, Annabelle, Ben and Nova; her dear goddaughter Elizabeth Schoolcraft and her family; her dear nephew Terry (Rosemary) Thorne and family; her best friend Barbara McCammon and many other wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ray (2004), sister Priscilla (1917), brother John (1963), mother Mrytle (1982), father Elwin (1959), brother-in-law Gerry (1989), his wife Iris (1988) and their daughter Lynn (2016).
At our mother’s request, there will be no funeral. A private family memorial service and interment will be held at the Malvern Cemetery in Lennoxville Quebec in 2018.

Chet Perkins, formerly of Danville, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017 with family by his side at the Wales Home, Richmond, Quebec. He was 91 years of age.
Beloved husband for 58 years of the late Joan (née Webb). “Little” brother to the late Alfred (late Joyce MacIntosh), and Russell (late Margaret Atyeo) of Kingston, ON. He will be forever missed by his four loving children – Ken (Darlene Blades) of Bear River, NS, Ruth (Wayne Lucas) of Walterboro, SC, James (Shana Saunders) of Kanata, ON, and Esther (Doug Peters) of Pointe-Claire, QC, his 14 precious grandchildren – Candi (Ralf), Abram, Hannah, John, Sarah (Jon), Matthew, Elizabeth, Laura, Jessica (Justin), Justin (Kelsee), Jenna, Jacob, Corabella and Alice, as well as 4 great-grandchildren - Victoria, Noah, Marley, and Aurora.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12 from 6:30-9:00 PM, and on Friday, January 13, from 9-11 AM at the Cass Funeral Home, Richmond (295 Rue Principale S, Richmond). The funeral service will be at the Wales Home (506 Rte 243 N, Richmond, QC) at 2 PM. Interment will be at a later date at the Danville Cemetery.
Chet – Dad – Grandpa – was known and loved by so many people. His deep Christian faith, character, wisdom and positive disposition gained him great respect and influence. All who were blessed to know him will continue to be inspired, encouraged and challenged to do more, complain less, and laugh until the tears flow.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Wales Home for the exceptional care and love they showed Chet. He thoroughly enjoyed life at the Wales Home, and we are so grateful.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband and best friend, Ronald Goodsell. Her children Julie (Russ), Jerry, Jeffrey (Angela), Jody (John) and her beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Jayden, Jordan, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Jasmine and Janice.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beautiful soul, Ruth Elaine Smith (Dupuis) on December 17, 2017 at the age of 83. She is predeceased by her loving husband Tony (Sonny), her mother and father, Alice and Frank Smith, of Stratford, Ontario, and sister June Chessell (Bruce) of Mitchell, Ontario. She is survived by her brother, Jack (Ursula) Mattimore, of Toledo, Ohio and brother- in- law Jean Paul Dupuis, Florida. Ruth is also survived by her children, Tony (Lane), Denis, Gary (Bonnie), and Nancy (Michael), her grandchildren Krista, Amanda (Nicolas), Gregory, Sean (Kenzie), Eric, Mikaela, and Hannah and great grandson, Caelan. As well as other nephews, nieces and their families of the Chessell’s, Wells, and Mattimore Clans in Canada and the United States.
Ruth, was always known for her compassion and devotion to helping others, through her nursing and caregiving careers in the RCAF, in North Bay, in Borden, and at the Wales Home in Richmond. She was also known for the unconditional love she showed to the family she valued so much. Through these kind words, her family members shows their love,

Harry Isbrucker
....show passed away at home in the arms of his loving wife and partner Danielle Caron on the morning of February 19th, 2017. A humanist, a forester, and a committed community volunteer, Harry will be greatly missed by his family: Victor & Kathleen Pick, Michael, Richard, Eric & Matthew, Nicolas Couture & Julie Landreville, Felix Couture, and the mother of his four sons, Jane Isbrucker (nee Rinia). Harry also leaves behind his two sisters and their families: Hilly Isbrucker & Frederick, and Marlies & Ab, Imke and Sander Maassen Van den Brink, and also Danielle's sister and brothers, Lise & Dominique, Michel & Ginette and Jean & Denise, their families and Tante Claire. Harry will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Willem, Benjamin, Asher, Avery, Carlin, Francois, Charles, Maxime, and Gabrielle. Harry leaves too many friends to mention and will be missed by the community that he loved so much. Harry planted a forest of trees that will continue to grow and be enjoyed for decades to come. The family wishes to thank everyone that helped Harry through his illness, and especially the wonderful Oncology team at CHUS.

John Alfred Turpin (Dick) D.F.C.
....show , age 92, passed away at Camp Hill Veterans’ Memorial hospital in Halifax, on Friday, February 10, 2017. He was born on June 29, 1924 in Quebec City, son of Captain William and Olive M. Turpin, of Quebec City, Quebec, and loving husband of Grace Louise Turpin (deceased 2005).
Dick was a graduate of Quebec High School before enlisting in the RCAF 20 July 1942. His first tour of operations was in Bomber Command as a Navigator and Air Bomber, one of the most dangerous assignments of the Second World War. During his tour of 30 sorties he carried out 23 attacks on enemy territory by day and night. Dick was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for officers and Warrant Officers for acts of valour, courage or devotion to duty performed whilst flying in active operations.
After the war, Dick attended Bishops University and graduated in 1949 with a degree in Education. He began his teaching career at Hudson High School in Hudson, Quebec, teaching English and Math while coaching the senior boys’ hockey team. Dick then obtained his Masters in guidance counselling from Harvard University. He went on the set up the guidance counselling program for the English language school system in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.
Dick was active in local events that included at one point President of Rotary Club, energetic involvement in the Lennoxville Curling Club and various charities. He was instrumental in converting an abandoned rail-bed in Lennoxville into a walking trail. Dick was a fun, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to anyone who knew him. He was also an avid and talented artist.
Dick is survived by three dear children Bill (Lindsay Brown), Nancy (Bruce Dowd) and Peter (Anne Turpin); beloved grandfather of three grandchildren Jason (Maggie), Rob (Kalli) and Michael (Stephanie) and two great-grandchildren, Alex and Frank. He was the brother of Charles, the late Pearl Raynes, the late Phyllis (Turpin/Jenkins) Smart, the late Grace Parker, the late Richard Turpin and the late Thomas Turpin. Dear sister-in-law Ann Sowerby (late Ray) and brother-in-law Douglas Macdonald (late Margaret).
Visitation will take place at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Malvern Cemetery.

Loving mother to Shirley (Robert MacLeod), Larry (Joanne Chapman) and Richard (Jeannette Fortier). Helen passed away on February 12, 2017 at the age of 100, at the Centre de Santé in East Angus, Quebec.
She was the loving wife of the late Gordon Wadsworth Morrison. She will be deeply missed by her son John. Helen was predeceased by her son Michael.
Helen was a long time resident of Sherbrooke and a member of St. Peter's Church and St. Georges Church choirs. For approximately 30 years she was employed as a secretary to the late Mr. Joseph E. Casaar. She was an accomplished cook and loved to entertain. Another favorite interest was following professional tennis matches.
Special thanks are extended to the staff at The Centre de Santé for their attentive care.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Montreal, where she resided for about 20 years, at a later date.
