I was probably five or six. Mother was a patient person who never yelled, but expected me to do as I was told. Shirley had on a pretty new apron and was doing dishes at the sink. Mr. Doiron was born and raised in Berlin, NH, the son of Andre and Marie Rose (Landry) Doiron. He worked as a carpenter during his time in the Navy during WWII and for over 60 years built and remodeled numerous homes in the Northern part of New Hampshire. He took pride in every task treating it as his own.
A devoted father and husband, he and his wife, Jacqueline (Clermont) Doiron, raised three children and in 1969 moved his family to Jefferson where they had, ten years prior, purchased and ran the once Woodford House but now renamed the Clermont after his wife’s family name.
In the late 1970’s he and his son set about the engineering task of building a solar home which he and his wife moved into in the mid 1980’s following the sale of the Clermont.
After his wife’s death in 2004 he, at the age of 82, with the help of his son-in-law, built the beautiful home he has lived in until July of this year when he became a resident of The Morrison due to failing health.
An avid organic gardener, there was never a spot inside or outside of the house that did not show off his expertise nor did a day go by where he lacked a new joke to share and only in the more recent years have his tackle boxes collected dust.
His final days were spent at The Morrison where, in his knowing what lie ahead, looked forward to leaving the cares of this earth to bask in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Young and old family and friends awaited his arrival on the other side.
Tenacious of character he was respected and loved by many. He leaves behind wonderful, caring friends.

Susan enjoyed playing games with friends, spending time with her family, playing with her cat, crocheting, wood burning, loved and collected snowmen, watching and feeding birds, gardening especially flowers, enjoying the sun, watching TV. and playing with her kindle. She had a smile that brightened a room and just made you feel good. Over the years she was a steadfast friend to many and would give the shirt off her back to help you. To us her children, she was our rock. We always knew she loved us with all that she was. She was a generous spirit giving more than she had on many occasions. She taught her children to be givers by example. She attended Jefferson Christian Church and knew Jesus as Lord and Savior. Susan didn’t have an easy life but she managed to get back up when being knocked down throughout it all. She survived many brushes with death over the years. We her family, were so blessed to have been given the time God allowed us with her. She is greatly missed to say the very least. She has gained Heaven and Heaven has gained her. We always parted ways by hugging, saying sweet dreams and love you. To this, I add till we meet again. This life is but a blink in eternity. We are here to love one another. Give a compliment, make a meal, lend a helping hand. A simple gesture could leave a lasting mark on someone and change their life for the better, a ripple effect that lives on. My mom practiced these principles and taught this to her children by example. Make sure you let your loved ones know how you feel because you never know when they will be called home. I have the peace of knowing my mom knew I loved her as deeply as I could love anyone. Now she knows the even deeper love God gives.
At my mom’s request there will be no services. She chose to be cremated and to be returned to me her daughter. In lieu of flowers, take a moment and remember a funny memory or time spent with my mom. She wanted no tears just happy memories. Life is to be celebrated and she has moved on to a higher living. I know there are many stories out there and I would love to hear some if you want to leave them on the funeral home condolences page for her. If you prefer you can send me your memory/story to 82 Abigails Cir., Jefferson NH 03583. Thank you.
