He was born on June 7, 1965, in Middletown, Connecticut, to Neta (Brooks) Aldrich and the late John E. Aldrich.
He was a cabinetmaker in Ocala, Florida, before moving to Vermont three years ago.
He loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
He is survived by his mother, Neta Aldrich, of West Charleston; his children: Ashlee Aldrich of Wells, and John Aldrich and Alicia Aldrich, both of Florida; his siblings: Ted Aldrich and his wife, Tammy, of West Charleston, David Aldrich and his wife, Sharon, of Haddam, Connecticut, and Wanda Folsom and her husband, Reginald, of Colchester; his stepbrothers: Tim, Rodney, and Ronald Aldrich; his grandmother Marion Aldrich of Jericho; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 28, at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, at 4670 Darling Hill Road in Newport, where a service of remembrance will be held. Interment will take place at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in East Charleston.

Marjorie L. Breault

She was born on April 9, 1931, in Island Pond, to John and Julia (Annis) Meehan.
On April 22, 1972, she married Alcide R. Breault, who survives her.
She enjoyed her family get-togethers and she was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, Alcide Breault, of Newport; her children: Gregory Abbott, Wanda Abbott, and Julie Perry, all of Newport; 17 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and by her sister Elsie Keltz of Dalton, New Hampshire.
She was predeceased by two children: Jerry Abbott and Penny Abbott; and by the following siblings: Irving, Harold, Neil and Clayton Meehan, and Joyce Martin.
Funeral services were held on November 24, in Newport. Spring interment will be in Pleasantview Cemetery in Orleans.

Isabelle A. Holmes

She was born on October 20, 1924, in Newport to Joseph and Florence (Marandola) Lantagne.
She married George Frost Sr., Fred Westover, and Edward Holmes, who all predeceased her.
She was a homemaker who provided for her children. She loved her family and having them visit and she especially enjoyed the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Joe Bedell and his wife, Lynn, of Ahwanee, California, Geraldine Morin and her husband, Mike, of Worcester, Massachusetts, Barbara Vigeant and her husband, Richard, of Newport, Gloria Frost of North Troy, George Frost Jr. and his wife, Rosalyn, of Newport Center, Lynda Leonard and her husband, Bruce, of Irasburg, and Amy Frost of Littleton, New Hampshire; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Francis Lantagne and his wife, Rita, of Newport, Lawrence Lantagne of Newport, Melvin Lantagne and his wife, Jean, of Newport Center, Antonio Lantagne and Janice Jacobs of Newport, and Anne Hansen and her husband, Jim, of Newport; and by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers: Roland Lontine, Donald and David Lantagne; and by her grandson Sergeant Ryan Leonard.
Funeral services were held on November 25. Interment followed in North Troy Village Cemetery.
Jacqueline Isabelle
....show of Newport died peacefully at home on Sunday morning, November 23, 2014, at the age of 92.
She was born in St. Johnsbury on August 2, 1922, the daughter of Alcide and Laura (Brunelle) Toussaint.
Her husband, J. Leo Isabelle, died on January 3, 2005.
The Isabelles were longtime residents of Newport and former residents of St. Johnsbury.
Mrs. Isabelle grew up in St. Johnsbury and graduated from Mount St. Josephs Academy. She worked at W.T. Grants in St. Johnsbury, and later for the Vermont State Employment Agency where she met the love of her life, Leo, after he returned from active duty in the Marine Corps.
Mrs. Isabelle was a stay-at-home mom who loved and nurtured her children and grandchildren. She was truly a role model for her family with her examples of her faith in the Lord and love of her family. She was a lifetime member of the Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by nine children: Christine Wolf and her husband, Phillip, of Brownington, Claudette Schoolcraft and her husband, Gary, of Peacham, Marc Isabelle and his wife, Deborah, of Hamilton, New Jersey, Bernard Isabelle and his wife, Crystal, of Underhill, Donald Isabelle of Pittsford, Brenda Isabelle of Derby, Brian Isabelle and his wife, Allyson, of Loveland, Colorado, Richard Isabelle and his wife, Constance, of Derby, and Suzanne Schmitz and her husband, James, of Beavercreek, Ohio; 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; Leos three brothers and one sister, all of Barre: Hector Isabelle and his wife, Marilyn, Ellis Isabelle and his wife, Jacqueline, Romeo Isabelle and his wife, Yvonne, and Claire Carmell; and by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Celeste, in 1976; a sister, Gloria Carlton; and by two brothers: Leo and Normand Toussaint.
Mrs. Isabelle was able to remain in her home with the help of her loving caregivers over the last several years. They became her extended family.
Visiting hours will be held at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home on Darling Hill Road in Newport on Friday, November 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Newport on Saturday, November 29, at 11 a.m., at St. Marys Church. Burial will be in May at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Johnsbury.

Lewis R. Sarracco Sr.

He was born on August 15, 1939, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Pasquale and Elizabeth (Wagner) Sarracco.
On September 5, 1959, he married Susan Lewis, who predeceased him on May 5, 2014.
Mr. Sarracco was a machine operator for Pike Industries, from where he retired in 2000.
Among his hobbies, he enjoyed candle pin bowling, watching hockey games, and spending time with his family. He loved his cats and his dog Tracer.
He is survived by his children: Donna Blais and her husband, Jim, of Newport, and Lewis Butch Sarracco and his wife, Teri, of Northfield; his grandchildren: Shanna Pinheiro and her husband, Paul, of Dover, New Hampshire, and Shaun and Jordan Sarracco of Northfield; his great-grandchildren: Haidyn Pinheiro and Milei Pinheiro, both of Dover, New Hampshire; his siblings: Jack Sarracco and his wife, Kristy, of Florida, Pat Sarracco and his wife, Sandy, of Connecticut, Tom Sarracco of Connecticut, and Frank Sarracco and his wife, Penny, of Connecticut; his brother-in-law Mickey Lewis and his wife, Mona, of Newport; his sister-in-law Jeralyn Wolcott of West Virginia; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mavis Stoddard

She was born on August 3, 1923, in Craftsbury, to Theodore and Ila (Parkhurst) Morey. She graduated from Craftsbury Academy in the Class of 1942.
On December 19, 1942, she married Neil Stoddard, who predeceased her in 2009.
She worked along with her husband on their dairy farm for many years.
She enjoyed walking her cocker spaniels, cooking, reading, boiling sap, spending time outdoors, and her family was very important to her. In her earlier days, she was known to ride horseback to school.
She is survived by her children: Jane Stoddard of Morrisville, Joyce Stenger and her husband, Bill, of Brunswick, Georgia, John Stoddard of Craftsbury, and Brenda Adams of Morrisville; nine grandchildren; and by two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter Linda Usher on March 24, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, at the United Church of Craftsbury Common, with the Reverend Alan Parker officiating. Spring interment will be in Craftsbury Village Cemetery.

On April 10, 1987, he married Eleanor Gray, who survives him.
Mr. Tyler was custodian for Community National Bank, from where he retired in 2004.
He enjoyed doing yard work and helping people. He also enjoyed going for rides in the country. He will be remembered for his wonderful smile and great sense of humor.

Frank H. Baker III
....show , 75, of Newport Center beloved husband of Gloria Baker, died suddenly on November 10, 2014, in Newport.
He was born on May 12, 1939, in Manchester, New Hampshire, a son of Frank and Rebecca (Rushton) Baker Jr. He was raised in Derry, New Hampshire, where he attended Pinkerton Academy until the twelfth grade when he left school to join the service.
Mr. Baker served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on January 21, 1958.
On September 2, 1970, he married Gloria Goodbout, who survives him.
He spent his life working in the woods logging with his draft horses, and from 1986 to 1992 he farmed in Newport Center. His horses and hard work were his lifes passions. He also enjoyed boxing, playing, watching professional football, reading, music, and history. He also drove tractor-trailer for several years in the early 1970s.
Besides his wife of 44 years, Gloria, he is survived by his children: Tracey Baraw and her husband, Andy, of Derby, Heather Henderson and her husband, Randy, of Daytona, Florida, Frank Baker IV of Newport Center, and Joshua Baker and his wife, Jessica, of Holland; his grandchildren: Devon James and Hannah Baraw, and Jarrett and Kaitlyn Henderson, Jordan Lanou, Joshua Jr. and Jacob Baker; his sisters: Alys Cady of Boynton Beach, Florida, and Frances Bramhall of Grafton, Massachusetts; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters: June Graham and Christine Kelly.
A graveside service was held on November 14, at the Newport Center Cemetery.

....show , known as Bill, has gathered together to celebrate the life of their brother and father who died from cancer at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center on November 10, 2014.
Mr. Bevans wife and their children Kelley, Heather, and Michael Bevans have been joined by his brother John Patrick Bevans and sisters, Kathryn Mullervy and Margaret Jerger, for support and to share loving and happy memories.
Mr. Bevans was born on December 18, 1935. He and his wife, Judy, met at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Elizabethan drama. His love for entertaining and theater led to a long career in helping people work together to achieve common goals.
He began his career in human resources while living in Baltimore, and later culminated 26 years as vice-president of organization development with General Foods USA.
When Mr. and Mrs. Bevans moved to Vermont, Mr. Bevans continued his career, working for organizations as a consultant and facilitator. He was a member of the OD Network.
He loved his home and his small conference facility, Coach Works Farm, and his family of pets especially Tess, his Yorkshire terrier the outdoors, and he enjoyed the gifts of the Vermont landscape. Cross-country skiing, hiking, and working to conserve our forests and water became his passion. He loved music, whether it was classical, jazz, or bluegrass.
He was an active member of Hannafords Volunteer Fyfe and Drum Corps.
He served on the board of the NorthWoods Stewardship Center, both as a member and president. Being part of an organization that presented pathways for everyone, children and adults, exploring our natural heritage was one of his most meaningful experiences.
He is deeply loved and was ever deeply loving, laughing, and encouraging to everyone he met.

Alfred Cole Jr.
....show , local grocery store entrepreneur, died at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, on Friday, November 14, 2014, of injuries sustained in an auto accident in Barton.
He was the former owner and founder of several stores in the Northeast Kingdom including Coles Market in Orleans, C&C Supermarket in Barton, Coles Redemption in St. Johnsbury, and Lyndonville Redemption. He was 78.
He was born in Bloomfield on January 8, 1936, son of the late Alfred and Ada (Bennett) Cole. He graduated from Lyndon Institute (LI) in 1954 and maintained his pride in the school throughout his life; he especially loved rooting for the LI football team.
A member of the Hiking Club, Mr. Cole was a great hiker and had hiked the length of the Long Trail in Vermont. He loved his sports and all the Boston sports teams.
He is survived by his wife, Anita (Sheltra) Cole, whom he married on May 5, 1956; six children: Kathleen Martel and her husband, Richard, of Waterford, Jeffrey Cole and his wife, Diane, of Lyndon, Donna Gilman and her husband, Paul, of Lyndon, Tina Rivers and her husband, Dave, of Sheffield, Debra Newton and her husband, Luke, of Sutton, and Michael Cole and his wife, Regina, of Weare, New Hampshire; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Stuart Cole, of Newark; his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Cole, formerly of St. Johnsbury Center; Anitas sister Lucille Belval of Lyndonville; and by his nieces and nephews.

Russell Frank Darling Jr.

He was born in Glover on March 29, 1941, to Ruth Hancock and Russell Frank Darling Sr.
After completing school, he went to basic training and joined the Vermont Army National Guard. He worked throughout his life as a machinist, mechanic, carpenter, jack-of-all-trades, and master of many.
He returned to the family farm on Dexter Mountain as a dairy farmer until the time of his retirement.
He married Marion English Adair on March 6, 1965, and together they raised five children.
Mr. Darling loved traveling to Florida with his wife during the winter months, always returning to the farm in the spring. He loved to attend the draft horse and pony pulls all around the Northeast Kingdom. He also enjoyed fishing and snorkeling in Florida.

Marc Edouard Gosselin
....show , 52, of Burlington died peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at the Vermont Respite House in Williston, after a short battle with cancer.
Son of the late Mathias and Blandine (Chaput) Gosselin, he was born on January 6, 1962, in Newport, and spent his childhood years on the family dairy farm in Barton. He graduated from Lake Region Union High School in 1980, and from Johnson State College in 1986.
Mr. Gosselin was a contemplative soul with a gentle spirit who loved and marveled at nature. His family has deep and fond memories of time spent with him while growing up and later in his adult years. He enjoyed music and took a special delight in seeing his nieces and nephew grow up.
Survivors include his brothers: Jacques and his wife, Marisa, of South Burlington, Luc and his wife, Theresa, of East Amherst, New York, and Pierre and his wife, Doris, of Quakenbruck, Germany; his sisters: Joanne Winter and her husband, Richard Codling, of South Burlington, and Christine Lazicki and her husband, David, of Underhill; his nephew Max of Germany; and his nieces: Megan Pelchat of Colchester, Erin Galinas of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Anna Gosselin of Germany, and Celine and Solange Gosselin of East Amherst.

She was born in Colebrook, New Hampshire, on April 8, 1931.
She and her husband enjoyed being part of the North Country Swingers Square Dance Club, panning for gold, golfing, bowling, and traveling. She enjoyed bingo, making crafts, and spending quality time with family.
She was an amazing inspiration to all who knew her with her fighting spirit and ability to face her illnesses with grace and courage. Her tender, caring personality and beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
She was a former member of the Saint Marys Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport, and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksville.
She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Philippe Pea Wee Grenier, of Clarksville; three daughters and one son: Joyce Davis of Newport, Norma Sloan of Clarksville, who helped care for her over the past nine years, Brenda Lontine and her husband, Bruce Sr., of Barton, and Paul Grenier of Hoboken, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Vicki Custer of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Bruce Lontine Jr. of Limaville, Ohio, Shane Lontine of Coventry, Billy Grenier of Newport, Tammy Cornell of Newport, Christopher Prue of Petersburg, West Virginia, and Philip Prue of Statesville, North Carolina; 16 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Alton Porter Jr. and his wife, Pearl, of Colebrook, Alda Barnett and her husband, Melcom, of Errol, New Hampshire, Gloria Sweatt of Lancaster, New Hampshire, Lois Smith of Newport, Eva Byard and her husband, Terry, of Clarksville, and Mildred Pellitier of Swazy, New Hampshire; and by a sister-in-law, Phyllis Fenoff, of Lyndonville.

Ruth Lamotte
....show died on October 26, 2014, at age 75, at her home in Mossyrock, Washington.
She was born in Barton on May 6, 1939, the daughter of Allen and Marion Nelson of Albany. Raised in Albany, she graduated from Craftsbury Academy. After graduating from Lyndon Teachers College in 1962, she taught in Lunenburg until 1964, when she married Phil Lamotte and moved to the West Coast.
While in Washington, she taught at the Onalaska School District and raised six children. When her children were all school age she went to work for DeGoede Bulb Farms for 37 years, until her passing.
She enjoyed attending her grandchildrens activities, Seahawks football games, Mariners baseball, doing puzzles of all kinds, and summer vacations at the beach with her family. Even though her family and friends were in Vermont, they were in her thoughts and a large part of her family stories.
She is survived by her six children: Shawn, Allen and his wife Michelle, Dan, Ramona Romine and her husband, Gary, Andy and his wife, Kathleen, and Renee Drake and her husband, Kevin; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; her brothers: Tom Nelson, Roger Nelson and his wife, Beatrice; and by her sister-in-law Janet Nelson.
She was predeceased by her parents, Allen and Marion (Hoyt) Nelson; a grandchild, Morgan Romine; and by a brother, George Nelson.
There was a potluck celebration of life for Ms. Lamotte held November 8, in Mossyrock, and a private family burial.
Maxine Melina Todd
....show , 77, of Orleans, beloved wife of Durwood Todd, died peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2014, in Newport.
She was born on December 24, 1936, in Irasburg, a daughter of Emma Royer.
On April 24, 1955, she married Durwood Todd, who survives her.
She graduated from Orleans High School in 1955. She was a bookkeeper for Blanchard Oil in Orleans for several years.
She held memberships with the Quilters from Vermont State Police Barracks, and was very involved with the Orleans High School Roger Barton Scholarship Program.
She enjoyed quilting and attended many quilting seminars around the country, knitting and crocheting with others, spending time with her grandchildren, and doing things with her family and friends.
Besides her husband of 59 years, Durwood, she is survived by her children: Michele Todd of East Montpelier, and Mitchell Todd of OFallon, Illinois; her grandchildren: Nathaniel, Benjamin, Christopher, Jennifer, Jessica, Jamie, and Jeremy; and by several great-grandchildren, brothers, and a sister.
Funeral services were held on November 14, in Orleans. Interment followed at the Brownington Village Cemetery.

JoAnne Warner
....show , 69, of Derby died peacefully on Sunday morning, November 9, 2014, in Newport, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born to Joseph and Helen (Worthiem) Johnston in Burlington in 1945. After the death of her mom at a young age, she was raised by her great-grandmother Mary Worthiem and her companion, Irma Isham.
Upon graduating from nursing school, she met and married Stanley Warner of North Troy. They moved to the Newport-Derby area and proceeded to raise their two daughters.
Ms. Warner loved nursing and took care of her patients at the Newport Health Care Center with kindness and compassion for 32 years. She will be greatly missed by both the patients and staff of the Newport Health Care Center.
She loved skiing, skating, cross-stitching, and watching NASCAR. Her greatest joy was riding motorcycle with her husband, Stanley.
Along with her husband, Stanley, she is survived by her children: Lauri Bonneau Warner and her fiancé, Mike Place, of Newport, and Lisa Warner of Ithaca, New York; her grandchildren: Jay and Michelle Bonneau of Island Pond, Samantha and Caleb Gross of Lancaster, New Hampshire, and Benjamin Bonneau of Newport; two cousins who were like sisters to her: MaryAnn Tabor of Burlington, and June Giroux of Hinesburg; as well as by several other cousins and many dear friends.
A graveside service was held on November 14, at the North Troy Village Cemetery.

Born in Newport, she was the daughter of Douglass and Deborah Haselton.
She was a registered nurse at Carolina Bone and Joint Surgery Center.
She was a gentle soul and free spirit who touched everyone she met.
She loved to shop, especially for shoes and jeans, and always remained frugal. She wholeheartedly made the earth a better place. She loved her family and her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Christopher Lynn Eason, of Myrtle Beach; her parents; a brother, Kurt Douglass Haselton, and his wife, Michelle; her grandparents Grammy and PaPa Simoneau; her father-in-law, William Eason and his wife, Linda; her mother-in-law, Barbara Eason; her brother-in-law Michael Eason; two sisters-in-law: Michelle Sykes and her husband, Steve, and Lauri Springsteen and her husband, Eric; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with a great number of friends.

Colombe Rita (Faucher) Fortin

She was born on February 12, 1929, in Magog, Quebec, to Ernest and Mariange (Cliché) Faucher.
On August 3, 1946, she married Roland Fortin, who predeceased her on August 28, 2013.
She is survived by her children: Rosaire and Brenda Fortin of Derby, Joseph and Lillian Fortin of North Troy, Reginald Smith of West Charleston, Francine and Earl Martin Jr. of Island Pond, Andre Fortin and his wife, Cathy, of Coventry, and Gilles and Mary Fortin of Chazy, New York; her 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and by her sisters and brothers: Jean Rocke, Omer, Jean Claude, and Origene Faucher, Marie Berthe Faucher, Yolande Robert and her husband, Yves, and ReJeanne Bombardier all of Magog, Quebec;
She was predeceased by one daughter, Rolande Fortin, of West Charleston; two brothers: Emilien and Onario; and by two sisters: Marguerite and Suzanne.

He was born on April 24, 1946, in Hardwick.
He proudly served his country in the Vermont Army National Guard.
He leaves to mourn, his wife, Helen Gates; along with his children: Aaron and his wife, Amy Gates, of Brimfield, Massachusetts, Anthony Gates and Kara of Hyde Park, Amanda and her husband, Sam Gabaree, of Hardwick, and Alissa and her husband, Tracy Harvey, of Walden; her stepchildren: Cory and his wife, Jackie Rivard, of Newport, Joey and his wife, Susie Rivard, of Hardwick, and Tammie Rivard of Charlestown, Massachusetts; her siblings: Patricia Gates of Vero Beach, Florida, Reginald Gates of Hardwick, Barbara and her husband, Howard Keough, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Betty and her husband, Lynn Heney, of Port St. Lucie; his 13 grandchildren: Josh, Zack, Alleigh, Ryan, Russell, Tyler, Tanner, Tessa, Ethan, Avery, Piper, Tyler and Kelsie; and many nieces and nephews along with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Onis Gates; and by his siblings: Sheila, Bob, and Beverly.
He began working at Gates Salvage Yard in 1960 alongside his family members and he became sole owner in 1990. Since then he has owned and operated it making it one of the largest salvage yards in the state of Vermont. His other passions included racecar driving, driving truck, operating his equipment, hunting, fishing, farming, bowling, dancing, horseshoes, playing cards with his buddies, and above and beyond all, spending time with his grandchildren. Most recently his passion for outdoor recreation led him to open Buffalo Mountain Powersports in 2010.
Mr. Gates life lessons he would like to leave behind would be to work hard, waste nothing, and remember to dance.
Funeral services were held on November 7 in Hardwick. Committal followed at Lake Elmore Cemetery.

He was born on November 23, 1924, in Orleans, to Bert and Lydia (Mergs) Geraw.
In 1972, he married Desneiges Coderre, who predeceased him on November 27, 2012.
He was a janitor for the Canaan Elementary School and also worked at Ethan Allen Manufacturing in Orleans for several years.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching old Westerns on television.
He is survived by his children: Chester Geraw Jr. and his wife, Sheri, of Bristol, Connecticut, Raymond Geraw and his fiancée, Tammy, of Glover, and Eddie Geraw of Glover; his grandchildren: Vikki, Destiny and Dylan; and by his sisters: Eva Geraw of California, and Irene Forest and her husband, Gary, of Forest Dale.
He was predeceased by his son Freddie; by his grandson Michael; and by his brothers: Charlie, Peter, and Perley.

Leona M. Rice

She was born on May 28, 1919, in Brownington to Clyde and Mable (Marsh) Herman.
On March 21, 1936, she married Merrick M. Rice, who predeceased her in 1991.
When they were first married they ran a farm and when they were done farming she worked for several families in the area. At one time she cooked meals for hot lunches in schools.
She enjoyed going to Home Dem meetings and was a member of the Ladies Christian Club and also was a member of the Brownington Village Church.
She also enjoyed playing cards, making afghans, which made prize possessions for family members in addition to ones that she sold and others that she gave away. Along with everything else, she enjoyed playing board games and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her children: Linda Child, Robert Rice and his wife, Laurie, and Carla McCoy and her husband, Peter, all of Brownington; her grandchildren: Karen and Rick Marston of Naples, Maine, Wendy Child of Portland, Maine, Michael Child and his wife, Melissa, of Dover, New Hampshire, Sharey Rice and her friend, Joseph Lund, of Burke, and Adam Rice and his wife, Yuka, of Walden; her five great-grandchildren: Haley Hammond, Kasey Rice, Alexandria and Emily Child, and Cameron Rice-Lund; her brother Willard Herman and his wife, Nancy, of Collinsville, Connecticut; and by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Arnold; and by her sisters: Pauline Green and Velma Cook.
Funeral services were held on November 7, in Brownington. Interment followed in Irasburg Cemetery.

Margaret "Maggie" Bernice (Ford) Stone
....show of Richmond died peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2014, in the Vermont Respite House in Williston, after a long and beautiful life.
She was born in Compton, Quebec, on August 29, 1922. Her family moved to East Charleston in 1928 to live on the Tripp Hill farm and later moved to a farm on Echo Lake. She attended the one-room Echo Lake schoolhouse in her early years. She graduated from Orleans High School, and nursing school at Brightlook Hospital in St. Johnsbury.
During World War II, she worked at a hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she met Eleanor Roosevelt. Mrs. Roosevelt was an inspiration for her throughout her life.
A graduate of the University of Vermont, she taught nursing and, in later years, worked at Aesculapius Medical Center in South Burlington.
She married Fred Stone in 1950 and together they raised two daughters, Elaine and Dorothy.
She was an active volunteer for the Richmond Rescue, the VNA, and a devoted member of the Richmond Congregational Church. She loved her faith, her family, and her profession.
She returned every summer to her beloved Echo Lake. Many happy family times were had at her mothers cottage and her own log cabin overlooking the lake. Though she lived in different towns in Vermont throughout her life, she always considered herself a country girl from the Northeast Kingdom.
She is survived by two daughters: Elaine and her husband, Greg Carpenter, of Fairfax, and Dorothy Stone and her partner, Zacciah Blackburn, of Richmond and Ascutney; her grandchildren: Amos Parker of Lee, New Hampshire, Ben Parker and his wife, Liz, of Montpelier, Caitlin and her husband, Michael Woodard, of Copper Mountain, Colorado, Elliot Smith and his partner, Carrie, of Nederland, Colorado, and Ian Carpenter of Fairfax; her great-grandchildren: Forrest and Fisher Woodard and George Parker; her brother Albert Ford of East Charleston; many nieces and nephews; and by two special cousins: Russell and Robert Nichols of Compton.
She was predeceased by three sisters: Mabel Schenk, Marion Petell, and Dorothy Farrell; and by her brother George Ford.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 24, at 10 a.m. at the Richmond Congregational Church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Stowe at a later time.

John Melvin Willis
....show , 72, died in Inverness, Florida, on November 2, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on November 14, 1941, to Melvin and Thelma (Willey) Willis.
He worked for many years at Butterfields as a machinist, where he proudly served as union president. He later worked as bartender at the American Legion, where he made many lifelong friends.
Mr. Willis lived life fully and enjoyed hunting, politics, bocce ball, travelling, reporting the weather, and spending time with his family. In recent years, he enjoyed annual trips to St. Pete Beach with family. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Griffin) Willis; his children: Cathy and her husband, Dan Lowell, Lisa Spooner, and their mother, Rosemary Rowe, Chris Willis and his wife, Jamie, Adam Willis and his fiancée, Jessica Hastings, and their mother, Ruth-Ann Fletcher; his mother, Thelma (Willey) Willis; his grandchildren: Rob, Danny, Tom, Zach, Olivia, Emily, Natalie, Natalee, Trysten, Lily, and great-granddaughter Meka; his siblings: Duane Red Willis, Marlene Bullis, Trudy Roberge, and Jody Cleveland; and by his stepsons: Ben, Jason and Tyler Marcoux. He was joyfully anticipating the birth of a new grandchild. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was especially close to his brother and sister-in-law, Red and Bev; his nephew Todd and his wife, Cindy, and to his stepson Tyler. He will be sadly missed by many dear friends in Vermont and Florida.
He was predeceased by his father, Melvin Willis, in 1972.

Vinal A. DeWitt
....show , 83 of Glover died peacefully on October 28, 2014, in Glover.
He was born on February 19, 1931, in Medford, Maine, to Arthur and Lyna (McGray) DeWitt.
Mr. DeWitt was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Armored Division as a mechanic on tanks after training at Fort Hood in Texas.
During his lifetime he was self-employed in Bucksport, Maine, owning and running two garages and a wrecker service for the area.
In 1969, he came to Vermont to work as a heavy equipment mechanic for SV Rossi on what is now I-91. At the completion of the highway, he became a mechanic for Calkins Sand & Gravel in Lyndonville, until his retirement in 1999.
Repairing heavy equipment, building and remodeling, and trips to Florida and Maine for vacation were his hobbies; but, farming was his passion. Mr. DeWitt was a proud member of The American Angus Association.
Besides his family in Maine, his main love was the Russell family and his associations with them for 40 years, especially his ownership in D&R Farms, where he and his ex-wife, Patricia Russell, raised Registered Angus Cattle, which they showed all over the country for 20 years.
He is survived by his grandchild: Brandi-Jo DeWitt of Bangor, Maine; his brothers and sisters: Ronald and his wife, Joyce Hopkins, Harold Hopkins and his life partner, Patricia Jordan, Keith DeWitt, Edwin DeWitt and his wife, Ellen, Kathy Hopkins and her daughter, Mandy Worden, and Dale DeWitt and his wife, Christine, all of Maine; several nieces and nephews; and by his ex-wife and friend, Patricia Russell, of Barton.
He was predeceased by his son Vinal DeWitt Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, at 12 Elm Street in Barton, with the Reverend Don Vincent officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on November 6, from 1 p.m. until the hour of the funeral. Interment will take place at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Charleston, Maine, at 1 p.m. on November 10.

Roger Lionel Duquette

He was born on February 21, 1936, in Orleans, to Lionel and Rachel (Labounty) Duquette.
On September 12, 1964, he married Louise (Snyder), who survives him.
During his lifetime, he was an electrician for Citizens Utilities, and he later worked for Columbia Plywood. More recently, he was a self-employed electrician.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, and working on his car.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Duquette, of Irasburg; his sons: Howard Duquette of New Hampshire, and Maurice Duquette of New Jersey; his brother Lewis Duquette and his wife, Nancy, of Barton; his sister Gloria Whittemore of Glover; his brother-in-law Donald Stoddard of Barton; and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Wayne Whittemore.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, at the Irasburg Cemetery, with the Reverend Timothy Naples officiating. Full military honors will be held.

Paul A. LeBlanc
....show , 69, of Albany died on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on June 3, 1945, in Barre, son of the late Emmanuel and Pauline (Guillette) LeBlanc.
He served in the Vermont Army National Guard and reserves in his early twenties. When his left the military, he worked for his father at E&E Tire. He was married for a short period and had four beautiful daughters. After leaving E&E Tire, he moved to Hardwick and began his own business, Pauls Auto. When he closed his shop, he worked for Green Mountain Sanitation and then S.D. Griswald. He spent much of his life living in Hardwick, until making his home in Albany.
He was a member of the Hardwick Fire Department and a member of the Lamoille Valley Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed the friendships and comradeship when he was with his buddies.
On July 1, 1995, he married the love of his life, Joanne, and together they had a son. For the past 19 years, Mr. LeBlanc has enjoyed raising his son and making his home in Albany with his wife and two dogs, Bandit and Cuddles.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding a motorcycle, a four-wheeler, skeet and trap shooting, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved cooking, especially for family and friends, particularly when having a chicken barbecue. Time with his family and friends was his source of joy.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne (Patoine) LeBlanc; his children: Dana LeBlanc, Lori LeBlanc DellAmore, Elizabeth Hill, Nicole LeBlanc and Tamatha Clark; his grandchildren: Cassie Osgood, Heather Osgood, Acacia Hammel, Amber Boisvert, Aaron Clark, Megan Hill, Johnathan Hill, Julie DellAmore, Matthew DellAmore, Sarah Hill, and Gabriella Beaumier; his nine siblings: Arthur LeBlanc, Irene Hill and her husband, Warren, Rachael Williams and her husband, Gary, David LeBlanc and his wife, Gail, Albert LeBlanc and his wife, Robin, Anne LeBlanc, Diane LeBlanc, Denise Whitcomb and her husband, Rob, and Rita Griffen and her husband, Peter; and by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, at the Hope Community Church in South Walden, with the Reverend Ernest Machia officiating.

She was born on November 20, 1956, in Newport, to Paul and Jean (Madden) Boulanger.
She graduated from North Country Union High School in the Class of 1975.
On March 1, 1975, she married Mitchell Rowell, who predeceased her on December 13, 2013.
Ms. Rowell was a stitcher for both the former Bogner and Slalom Ski Wear.
Her hobbies were crocheting, and gardening, which included making strawberry beds and flower beds.
She is survived by her sons: Andy Rowell and his wife, Britta, of Heidelberg, Germany, and Cory Rowell and his wife, Desiree, of Essex; her grandchildren: twins Angela and Alyssa, and Caleb and Natalie; her siblings: Thomas Boulanger and his wife, Wilma, of Newport, Georgia Fournier of Troy, Ruth Forbue of Lyndonville, Sharon Provoncha and her husband, Dale, of Westfield, and Joan Therrien and her husband, Roland, of Derby; numerous nieces and nephews; and by one grand-grandniece.
She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Hall in 2008; her brother Peter Boulanger in 2011; and by her nephews: Timmy Verdon and Billy Joe.
