Annie M. Barrett
....show , 68, of Glover, VT passed away on June 29, 2013 in Glover, VT. She was born on October 22, 1944 in Haverhill, NH the daughter of Mildred Stimson. Annie was an LPN at the Union House Nursing Home in Glover, VT for 25 years where she retired in 2008.
Among her hobbies she enjoyed collecting stamps and post cards. She also loved gardening and being a caregiver to others.
She is survived by her children: Lloyd Powers and his wife Ann of Troy, VT, Jennifer Hinton and her husband Robert of Sutton, VT, James Powers of Lyndonville, VT, Timothy Powers and his wife Melissa of Sheffield, VT and Jana Morse and her husband Herbert of Derby Line, VT, 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, by her brother Archie Stimson of Sutton, VT and by two stepsons: Randy Barrett of Barton, VT, and David Barrett and his wife Mary of Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Monday July 8, 2013 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 12 Elm Street, Barton, VT. Michael G. Adams
....show , 70, passed away on June 28, 2013 at his home on Seymour Lake in Morgan, VT. Michael was born on February 19, 1943 in Burlington, VT to George Ted and Nadean (Ellsworth) Adams. Michael grew up in Stowe, VT and graduated from Stowe High School in 1961. After graduation Michael worked with his family at the Adams Mill in Moscow. He went on to career in construction and built many houses in the Stowe area. Michaels taxidermy hobby grew into Wildstuff Taxidermy. Throughout the years Mike won numerous taxidermy awards and taught many students the taxidermy trade. Upon retirement Mike and his wife owned and operated Stowe Kennel Kare in Moscow, VT.
Michael was the epitome of a Vermonter! Michael loved hunting, fishing and most recently cooking. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren enjoy Seymour Lake. Michael was known for his tall tales and sense of humor. He is survived by Linda his loving wife of 40 years; his daughters Paige Howard and her husband Greg of Florence, MA; Stacey Schaaf and her husband Bill of Hyde Park, VT and Jill Manca and her husband Tony of Easthampton, MA; his sister Susan Adams of Johnson, VT and her husband Larry; his grandchildren Sydney, Jocelyn, Owen, Tanya, Izabella and Lundon; and his nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Nadean Adams; his son Alfred Adams. Out of respect for Michaels wishes not to have a funeral, friends and family will gather to celebrate his life at a later date, yet to be determined.

Genevieve M. Pike
....show , longtime teacher, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, died on June 27, 2013, at age 88.
Genevieve was born August 11, 1924 in Barre, Vermont to Howard McKnight, whose older sisters had been born in Scotland and he in Barre, and Mildred Bombard McKnight, whose mother had immigrated from Quebec as a young woman. Her father worked in the offices of one of the large granite sheds, and Mildred worked as a homemaker for their eight children. Gen was the oldest followed by Marguerite, Howard, Franny, Mary, Monica, Donny, and Barbara, who all grew up in Barre.
Gen received a scholarship and went to Trinity College in Burlington, where she received a degree in music. She got a job teaching at Craftsbury Academy where she worked for many years. She used her education to teach English, Latin, French, and her degree to lead the chorus, for which she usually also played the piano. Generations of students will mourn her passing, as will those teachers with whom she worked. She also taught for a time at Hazen Union High School.
During her first year of teaching she met a returning WWII wounded veteran, Ernest Pike, whom she married. They farmed in Craftsbury for ten years, and their four girls, Alison, Meredith, Lesley, and Averill, were born to the farm. When Ernest became Post Master they moved into the Village, and Gen returned to teaching. Their son, Jeremy, was born during this period. She was the church organist at Our Lady of Fatima church in Craftsbury Village for most of that time. Gen and Buster were able to travel through the United Kingdom, and twice through her beloved France, where she had also studied language when younger.
Gen and Buster both worked more than thirty years at their respective jobs before they retired and moved to Barton, Vermont to be nearer daughters and grandchildren, and then great-grandchildren. Ernest, Buster, predeceased her last year after sixty five years of marriage.
Gen had raised lovely gardens in Craftsbury, and created new lovely gardens around her Barton home.
A graveside service will be held Monday, July 8th, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresas Cemetery, Tanguay Lane, Barton, with Fr. Timothy Naples officiating. There will be no calling hours.

Richard (Dick) Newton Hodge
....show passed away suddenly on June 27, 2013 following a brief and traumatic illness, he was 89 years old.
Dick was born in Danville, Quebec the son of Alonzo and Rachel ( Halden) Hodge on October 2, 1923. He graduated from Asbestos High School and later received his degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, PQ. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II as a Bomber Pilot flying the Lexington and Halifax aircrafts. Upon his return from the war he married Irene Fay Lavers from Ayers Cliff, PQ his love for 65 years.
Together Irene and Dick moved to the States where they resided for 58 years. Dick worked for the Canadian Pacific Railroad for 30 years retiring as Mechanical Supervisor in 1986. Dick and Irene had two children Faye Anne and Christopher as well as two grandchildren Richard and Myles Hodge.
Dick was involved in many organizations throughout his life most notably the Free and Accepted Masons, Memphremagog Lodge #65 where twice he served as Worshipful Master additionally, Dick was a Shriner. Dick was a member of the United Methodist Church of Newport for many years, as well as Boy Scout Master of Troop #3 for 7 years. He was a long time member of the Newport Country Club, the Border Curling Club and the Gourmet Bridge Club. Richard enjoyed many outdoor activities including Golf, Hunting and Fishing just to name a few. In his younger years Dick and Irene greatly enjoyed Ball Room dancing, they were well known for their light footed steps.
Dick was predeceased by his parents Alonzo and Rachel Hodge, as well as his brothers Daniel and Douglas Hodge.
Dick is survived by his wife Irene Hodge of Newport, his daughter and her husband Faye Anne and Guy Roberge of Riverview, Florida, his son and his wife Christopher and Tina Hodge of Littleton, NH, his grandsons Myles Hodge of Littleton, NH and Richard Hodge of Fall River, Ma as well as his sister Betty Perkins of Ontario, Canada, nephew Andrew Hodge of British Columbia, Canada, nieces Suzanne Bell of Ontario, Canada, Jane Hodge of Alberta, Canada, Linda Osmond of Ontario, Canada and Laureen Perkins of Ontario, Canada.
Richard was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend he will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Lucy Ford Bruso Brown
....show , widow of E. Merriman Mem Brown passed away on June 25, 2013 at her home in Barton at the age of 105. She was born in Fulton, NY on March 27, 1908, the daughter of Lucy Stancliff and W. James Ford.
In 1926 she graduated from Montpelier Seminary and worked for Mississquoi Corp; Sheldon Springs for approximately four years.
She was also employed by American Optical, Southbridge, MA for a short time and then worked about forty years for New England Telephone, St. Albans as a Service Representative.
On October 18, 1930 at double wedding, she married Shirley E. Bruso and her sister Marjorie married E. Merriman Brown. Mr. Bruso passed away in 1971 in Florida.
She was a member of St. Pauls Methodist Church of St. Albans and Barton United Church in Barton, Telephone Pioneers of America, the Pinicole Society of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Society, Barton Library Club, Eastern Star Lakeside Chapter # 27 and North Country Hospital Auxillary. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, sewing and entering contests. In February of 1978 she married her brother-in-law, E. Merriman Brown who passed away in 1993.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Joan Ford of Harwington, CT, and two step sons, John F. Brown and wife Marjorie of Barton, VT, and Dr. Edwin M. Brown and his wife Patricia of Richmond, VA, and by several nieces and nephews.
She appreciated the wonderful devotion of her caregivers which allowed her to stay in her home as was her desire.

Gertrude E. Beaucaire
....show , 86, of Newport Center, VT, passed away on June 24, 2013 at her home. She was born August 2, 1926 in Worcester, MA, the daughter of Karl and Gertrude (Sieswerda) Buschenfeldt, Sr. She graduated in 1944 from Stoughton High School in Stoughton, MA. and graduated from Brockton Business College in 1945. On June 26, 1946 she married Donald A. Beaucaire who predeceased her on September 4, 1986. They lived in Easton MA. for most of their 40 years together and moved to Halifax, MA in 1984.
Gertrude started her career in the family business of Karl W. Buschenfeldt & Son, went on to become a legal secretary for many years and retired from the Probate Court in Brockton, MA in 2000. After retirement she enjoyed several years working part-time at the YMCA in East Bridgewater, MA.
Her family was most important to her. She loved caring for her grandchildren which included many sleepovers and following her boys sporting events, hockey, soccer and baseball, driving long distances to make every game she could. She was an avid Boston/New England sports fan, enjoyed reading, going to the beach, lying in the sun, shopping and collecting lighthouses.
She is survived by her loving children: Suzanne B. Donnelly and her husband John J. of Newport Center, VT, Steven D. Beaucaire and his wife Deborah A. of East Bridgewater, MA, and by her beloved grandchildren: Brendan, Conor, Garrett, Brian, Kerri and her husband Christopher and by her great granddaughter Kailyn.
She is also survived by her siblings: Theresa Rae Pierce of Brockton, MA, Nancy Saunders and her husband Lee of Cotuit, MA, , by her sister-in-laws Lois Beaucaire of West Bridgewater MA, Evelyn Buschenfeldt of Mashpee MA, Shirley Beaucaire of Brockton MA, by several nieces and nephews and by her many friends from Vermont and Massachusetts. She was predeceased by a sister Marjorie Downs, by her brothers: Herman E. Buschenfeldt and his wife Lois E. Buschenfeldt, Anton Buschenfeldt, Sgt. Karl Buschenfeldt Jr., KIA in WWII, and Herbert Inman.

Jim A Lafoe
....show , 64, of Orleans, VT, passed away June 23, 2013 at his home. He was born April 20, 1949 in North Stratford, NH, the son of Leo and Cleora (McKinney) Lafoe.
He loved fishing, camping, and being in the outdoors.
He is survived by his children: Vicki Stetson and her husband Chris of Swanton, VT, Peter Lafoe and his wife Wyonna of NH, Cody Sheltra of Newport, VT, and Kim Rainey and her husband Tim of Gilman, VT. Terry Dean LaPlante
....show , 68, of Derby, VT passed away on June 22, 2013 at his home with his family at his side. He was born July 29, 1944 in Newport, VT, beloved son of Shirley (Judd) LaPlante and the late Arthur LaPlante.
Terry was a well known auto mechanic and wrecker operator for Ken Frawley and Mulkin Chevrolet for many years. As a teenager he drove the hearse and ambulance for Curtis Funeral Home. He was a member of the Vermont Army National Guard where he entered on April 27, 1962. Among his hobbies he enjoyed playing the guitar, watching wrestling, fishing, camping, and listening to country music. He was also a NASCAR fan for Dale Earnhardt race team.
Terry was very proud of his Abenaki heritage where he was of the OBomsawin family from the Obanak reserve in Quebec and he was known as Lone Wolf. He was a member of the American Legion Post 21 of Newport where he held the office of Second and First Vice Commander and served on the Executive Board.
He is survived by his children: Randy LaPlante and his wife Anita of Newport, VT, Arthur LaPlante and his wife Monique of Beebe Plain, VT, Dana LaPlante and his wife Angie of Newport, VT, Shania LaPlante of Derby, VT, by his mother Shirley LaPlante of Newport, VT, by his companion Tina Gray of Derby, VT, and by his grandchildren: Danielle, Chantal, Erin, Brandon, Emma, Kaelin, and Karlee LaPlante, by his former wife of 24 years Rita LaPlante of Beebe Plains, VT, by his step mother Marion LaPlante of Bristol,CT, by his sisters: Nancy Tanguay and Sally Lemieux both of Newport, VT and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Marcel Tanguay.

Harold O. Willey, Jr.

He was born on April, 23, 1932 in Derby, VT a son of Harold and Ella (Judd) Willey, Sr. Harold served with the U.S. Marine Corps and later worked for Blow and Cote in Morrisville, VT as an equipment operator for 39 years. Mr. Willey was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding around with his companion Blondie his Sheppard mix dog of 12 years. George Allen Nelson
....show , 79, of Albany, VT passed away on June 20, 2013 at the Bel-Aire Nursing Home in Newport, VT. He was born February 22, 1934 in Albany, VT the son of Allen and Marion (Hoyt) Nelson. On August 21, 1957 he married Janet Allen who survives him. He graduated from Orleans High School in 1952.
During his lifetime he was a carpenter. He helped build Bel-Aire Nursing Home in Newport, VT while employed for Malcolm Pickel. He also built the Albany General Store in Albany, VT. His biggest project was building a large dairy barn for Connie Sherwin in Albany. He later purchased the farm in 1971 and farmed until 1978. He was then employed for 20 years for E.F. Wall General Contractor of Barre, VT until he retired in 1995. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, wood working, building furniture, and custom cabinetry. He also enjoyed mowing the lawn and working in his blueberry patch.
He is survived by his wife Janet Nelson of Albany, VT, by his children: Scott Nelson of Irasburg, VT, Sonya Kittredge and her husband Paul of Albany, VT, Shelly Morey and her husband Michael of Newport, VT, and Stacey Nelson of Essex Junction, VT. By his grandchildren Scott Nelson II and his wife Tasha; Benjamin Kittredge and his wife Molly; Matthew Kittredge and Jenna Morey. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Maya, and Trent, by his brothers: Carl Tom Nelson of Irasburg, VT, and Roger Nelson and his wife Bea of Derby, VT, by his sister: Ruth Lamotte of Mossy Rock, WA. He is survived by sisters-in-law: Sheryl Martin and Patty Martin and their families all of Craftsbury, VT and by Marion Allen and her family of Burlington, VT. Beryl J. Prive
....show , 86, of Newport, VT, went to be with the Lord on her birthday June 17, 2013 in Derby, VT, with her family by her side. She was born June 17, 1927 in Newport, VT the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Cole) Webb. On September 5, 1949 she married Raymond Prive who predeceased her.
She was a full time wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of the cheerful card company. She was always taking care of family and relatives and was a great cook and baker, especially her home made baked beans, homemade pickles and pies.
Our mother had a lot of hobbies that she enjoyed through the years. A big Salt and Pepper collector over the years and loved collecting from each States and in Germany with some help from her nieces who was traveling throughout the different states. Our mother enjoyed playing bingo at the Barton and Lyndonville Fairs, picking strawberries and blueberries, going to many yard sales, putting puzzles together as well as doing crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting, painting pictures, and most of all walking on her street with the Bobbin Mill Girls over the years. The Bobbin Mill Girls was Beryl, Teresa (Lague) Coburn and Pauline Bouffard.
She is survived by her children Judith Gilman and her husband Edward of Newport, VT and Gary Prive of Newport, VT. She is also survived by her sister Blendine Vance and her husband Francis of St. Johnsbury, VT, by her brother and sister in-laws Arthur Prive and his wife Jeanne of Newport, VT, Jeannette Thomas of West Haven, CT, and Dorothy Prive of Gulfport, MS, and by many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends: Bobbin Mill Girls, Pauline Bouffard and Marcella Gosselin. She was predeceased by a brother Arnold Webb and by brother and sister in-laws: Alberta and Rose Lamoureux, Cecile A Prive, Cecile D. Prive and Martha Prive, Hector, Leo, Armand and Richard Prive and by Roland and Gerry Lamoureux.

Marion Margaret Marie Watson

Marion lived all of her life in Newport and among her hobbies she enjoyed bowling, dancing, listening to country music, wearing her high heel shoes, and visiting her friends at the VFW. She loved everyone.
She is survived by her sisters: Henrietta Cromwell of Newport, VT, Shirley Elliott of Holyoke, MA, and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Albert, Edward, and Orloff Watson, Margaret Shattuck, Helena Domina, and Bettie Elliott.

Ronald Romeo Marandola
....show , 64, of Newport, VT passed away on June 15, 2013 in Newport, VT. He was born August 7, 1948 in Orleans, VT the son of Leo and Sylvaine (Perron) Marandola. During his lifetime he was an electrician. He entered the United States Army in 1969 and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1971. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 798, American Legion Post 21, and the Eagles # 5329 both of Newport, VT. His hobbies included fishing, bowling, playing pool and darts. He is survived by nieces and nephews and by ex-wife Cora Marandola and by his sister-in-laws Cheryl and Ruby Marandola both of Newport, VT. He was predeceased by two brothers Warner Marandola, Richard Marandola both in 2006.

Lisa L. Garneau
....show , 51, died peacefully on June 13, 2013 in Lebanon, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 21, 1962 in Newport, VT, beloved daughter of Frances (Robbins) Taylor and the late Gardner O. Taylor. On October 1, 1983 she married Roland Garneau who survives her.
Lisa was a cashier for the Irving Mini Mart in Derby Line, VT. Among her hobbies, she enjoyed watching birds in her flower garden, doing crafts, scrap booking, watching NASCAR and cheering for her favorite driver, Carl Edwards. She loved the company of her dog Moose. She was always smiling, friendly, and absolutely loved visiting with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed time spent playing with her granddaughter, Olivia.
She is survived by her husband, Roland Garneau of Derby Line, VT, by their children: Matthew Garneau and his wife Jennifer of Derby, VT and Ashley Garneau of Derby Line, VT, by her granddaughter Olivia Garneau of Derby, VT, by her mother Frances Taylor of Derby, VT, by her sisters and brothers: Scott Taylor of Derby, VT, Ronald Taylor and his wife Lynn of Cookeville, TN, Judy Parker and her husband Keith of Greer, SC, Susan Call and her husband David of Meadville, PA, Patricia Gelo and her husband Dennis of Derby, VT, and by many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles. Judy graduated from North Country Union High School in 1997 and later from Johnson State College with a Batchelor of Liberal Arts Degree. Her interest were cooking and family genealogy. She is survived by her husband Raymond A. Sawyer, Sr of Newport, VT, by her sons: Raymond A. Sawyer, Jr of Hardwick, VT, and Tony Ray Sawyer and his wife Kerri of Weare, NH. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Megan, Ryan, Jacob, and Krista, by her brother: George R. Stone and his wife Shirley of Conway, NH, and by her sister Raylene Gould and her husband Ron of Wakefield, NH and by 4 nieces and nephews.

Bernard Francis Stone
....show 89, suddenly passed away on Monday June 10, 2013 at Windemere, at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital in Oak Bluffs Massachusetts.
To all who knew him, he will remembered as larger than life in every sense of the word. A gregarious man, he loved to laugh and made anyone he met feel like they were the most interesting person in the world. An avid gardener, sharp crossword player, wonderful dancer, expert whistler and an okay poet he lived life to it's fullest. He felt blessed to be in such great care at Windemere where all the female staff were the "most beautiful women in the world" and they treated him like a King.
Born in Richford Vermont to Robert Hazen and Grace Carey Stone in 1924, he was the youngest of four children. Living on a farm amongst the green mountains of Vermont he had an ideal childhood. As a teen he became a downhill ski racer which lead him to serve as a ski trooper in the elite 110th. mountain division in WW2. He later attended Northeastern University where he received his degree in engineering.
As a civil engineer he worked next to Igor Sikorsky building helicopters in Bridgeport Ct. to becoming the town engineer in Weathersfield Connecticut then eventually starting his own business, Bernard F Stone and Associates in Salem Connecticut.
He married his boss's daughter, Charlotte Mary Judd, during the construction of the Union Village Dam in Vermont in 1948. They had three children John Carey, Charles Edward and Sandra Lee Stone. He was pre-deceased by his wife Charlotte his son John his sisters Carol Clark and Shirley Palone, and his brother Bill Stone. He is survived by his son Charles Stone, his daughter Sandra Stone-Benjamin, son-in-law Michael Benjamin and grandchildren Charlotte Rose and Samuel Stone Benjamin. A memorial service for celebration of his life will be held at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday June 25, 2013 at the Haynes Room at Jay Peak Resort.
Susan Jane Swift
....show was born in Enosburg, VT on June 28, 1917, the daughter of Reverend Herbert and Pearl (Kinney) Campbell. Susan was a resident of the Maple Lane Nursing Home and cared for by the dedicated staff for the past several years. She lived in several Vermont towns while growing up and went to high school in Barre, Vermont. She later earned her degree as a RN and was employed at the Barre City Hospital in Barre. She then served as a nurse at Fort Devens in Massachusetts and as 2cd Lieutenant at Fort Dix, NJ where she performed all general nursing duties in a para pelagic ward and neurosurgical and orthopedic ward as supervisor. She was decorated with the World War II victory medal. After the war, she married Kenneth Swift on June 22, 1946. They moved to Glover, Vermont in 1947 purchasing and operating the general store. They later purchased the Shadow Lake Pavilion dance hall and in 1963 purchased the Colonial House Nursing Home in Glover, with their friends Robert and Mazel Rogers, where Susan worked as RN. Later, they also purchased and refurbished an apartment building in Glover, again with their friends Robert and Mazel Rogers. Susan also loved to sing and was a member of the church choir at Glover Community Church. She was also a member of the Barre Tones Chapter of Harmony, Inc. where she sang and performed with all the members in many locations around the New England northeast. Susan was predeceased by her husband Kenneth, her daughter Donna Kay, and grandsons Scott and Randy Neil, as well as her sisters and brother: Margueritte, Joyce, Cora, Golda, Agatha, and Herbert. She is survived by her son James, and his wife Susan of Glover, granddaughter Sarah and her husband Steven Humphrey, great-grandson Jonas of Boulder, CO, granddaughter Laurie and her husband Sam Allen of Pittsboro, NC, as well as son-in-law Bruce Baraw of Glover and also by many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday June 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Glover United Church with the Rev. Evelyn Coup officiating. Interment will follow at the Westlook Cemetery in Glover, VT with full military honors.
Eleanor J. Thompson
....show , 91, of Newport, Vermont died peacefully on June 5, 2013 at her home. She was born on October 12, 1922 in Carman, Manitoba Canada, daughter of Charles and Grace (Neal) Wolcott of West Charleston. After graduation from Derby Academy, she married Lawrence Thompson and moved to Marine Corp bases in North Carolina and Virginia. After her husbands honorable discharge from the service she enjoyed many years in Orleans, Vermont and then Connecticut before returning to Vermont. She and her husband lived many winters in Florida and summers in Vermont while taking time to travel the Country and abroad. Eleanor was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golf, antiquing, and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Paula and her husband Ron of Newport, VT, and by her son Lawrence (Butch) Thompson, Jr; and wife Anne of Derby, VT. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: John Scott, and wife Coleen, and great granddaughter Eva Noelle of San Diego, CA, James Scott, and wife Alicia and great great granddaughter Ariel of Salinas, CA, Raymond Thompson and his wife Susan (Maxwell) if Derby, VT, Jeffrey Thompson and his wife Maya, and great grandson Kai and great granddaughter Annabel of Burlington, VT and by nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Lawrence, her parents Charles and Grace Wolcott, sister Ina Worth and husband Delmond (Speed), brother William (Billy) Wolcott, and her son Johnny Reilly.
A private graveside service will be held at the Derby Center Cemetery with the Rev. Kelly Deslauriers officiating.
Ruth B. Damon
....show , 90, of Barton passed away on June 5, 2013 in Lebanon, NH. She was born May 29, 1923 in Irasburg, VT the daughter of Arie and Myra (Denton) Kennison. She was married to Howard Damon who predeceased her in 1995.
Ruth enjoyed traveling all over the world and among her hobbies, she liked to cook, knit for friends and family, do puzzles, play cards, and read.
Ruth was a strong believer in keeping active and volunteered for numerous community activities which helped her to live a long productive life.
She is survived by her children: Terry Damon and his wife Bonnie of Newburg, MD, Marvin (Pete) Damon and his wife Susan of Vero Beach, FL, and Karl Damon and his wife Jo-Ann of East Barre, VT. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ann Marie Damon, Jennifer Luzier and her husband David, Lindsay Damon-Cox, Amanda and Joe Starr, Adam Damon, Crystal Hudson and her husband Steven, Howard Damon, Gillian Hoops, Hatteras Hoops and his wife Sheila, and by 12 great grandchildren and by a special, daughter-like niece, Elizabeth Cook and her husband Larry and their children: Jody Russell and her husband Brian, and Kim Kelly and her husband Brian. She was predeceased by two daughters: Nola Damon in 1960 and Lorilei Hoops in 2005. A graveside service will be held on Monday August 5, 2013 at a time to be specified later at the Irasburg Cemetery with the Rev. Evelyn Coup officiating. This will be followed by a celebration of the life of Ruth Damon at Pageant Park in Barton for family and friends. Ann Marie Cummings

As an educator for the New York City Board of Education, Ann was passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and colleagues. Her work of many years has touched many lives. As her nephew-in-law, Matthew Kratz, recently wrote Ann is a blessing to everyone she meets, and an inspiration to all on how to live, celebrate and love. Those she leaves behind will continue to embrace the legacy of her joy of life.
She was preceded in death by her brother James Cummings and her nephew Peter Murphy. She is survived by her sister Julia Cummings Murphy, her dear friend Dolores Grieco, her sister-in-law Marylou Cummings, ten nieces and nephews, eleven grand-
nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends. A superlative story teller, a kind, generous and thoughtful person, some of her favorite things included: children, music, any celebration, Willoughby Lake, and time spent laughing with loved ones.

....show , 77, of Glover, VT passed away on June 3, 2013 at his home in Glover. He was born December 29, 1935 in Sheffield, VT, the son of Walter and Emma (Chamberlain) Degreenia. Lyle farmed and logged various places in Vermont and New Hampshire, and retired as a self employed carpenter. His hobbies included making woodcrafts, lawn ornaments, hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the New Hampshire National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 76 of Barton, VT.
He is survived by his long time companion Wanda Reed of Glover, VT, by his children: Terry Degreenia and his companion Crystal Willis of Brownington, VT, Cathy Burns and her husband Bill of FL, Carol Linscott and her companion Richard of Union, ME, Walter Degreenia and his wife Gail of Union, ME, Darrell Degreenia of Union, ME, Darren Degreenia and his wife Gail of Sheffield, VT, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, by his sister and brothers: Leslie Degreenia and his wife Patricia of Northwood, NH, Phil Degreenia, Sr and his wife Patty of Sheffield, VT, Jason Degreenia and his wife Jossie of Sheffield, VT, and Georgia Newland and her husband Harold of Sheffield, VT, by his step brother Al MacEachern and his wife Lise of Barton, VT, and by his step sister Barbara Stewart of Glover, VT, and by numerous nieces and nephews. Tina was a loving Mom to her son Thomas Hall and his girlfriend Cait Smith of Derby, VT and daughter Heather Hall and her boyfriend AJ Stevens of Orleans, VT. She loved and adored her wonderful grandson Javein. Tina was predeceased by her father Gaetan Coderre of Irasburg, VT, and her ex husband Lyndal Hall of Albany, VT. She will be deeply missed by her mother Alice Coderre of Derby, VT, her brothers: Sherman Coderre and his wife Michelle, Ed Coderre and his fiancé Shirley Lawson of Irasburg, VT, by her sister Tealla Rodrigue and her husband Roger of Derby, VT, and by her sister Trina Coderre and her fiancé Doug LaBounty of Lunenburg, VT. She will also be missed by her boyfriend Kevin Lee and his family of Newport Center, VT and by all her nieces and nephews: Traci Rodrigue, Tasha Rodrigue and her boyfriend Thomas Prevost, Gaetan Coderre 11, Ridge Coderre, Kyle Rodrigue,Chloe Coderre and her fiancé Brandon Washburn, Sophie Coderre and Ethan LaBounty. Tina will be missed by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. Tina loved her dogs, doing arts and crafts, going on carnival cruises, gardening, listening to Country music , dance, and attending Church with her mother.
She was a very giving and caring person who was always ready to give anyone a hand. She was a mother who loved her children and her grandson and always treasured their time together.
