....show - It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother. Born on July 20th, 1935, she left us on April 25th, 2013 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Rodney Stevens, daughter of the late Clovis Blais and Alfreda Ferland. She will be sadly missed by her children Harvey (Marika Parenteau), Bev, Sheryl (Joe Gazalé), Scott (Kathleen Perron) and grandchildren Andrew, Ryan, Trevor, Kaitlyn, Marissa and Charles. Surrounded by his loving family, he said his last words and bid Adieu, leaving the world peacefully and with the knowledge that God had a place for him in heaven. Cecil Blenkhorn, known by some as “Cec” and other as “Chum” was a loving Father will be remembered by so many for different things: As a wonderful husband of Betty, as the “best Daddy in the whole wide world” to this children, as a loving grandfather and great-grandfather , as a committed employee of Ingersoll Rand, an active member of the Snow Shoe Club, as well as for his friendships, sense of humor, love of music, published articles and poems, volunteering, generosity to God’s mission and those in need, and for his (ever) humble spirit. He will always be recognized by his love of gardening, flowers and growing lucsious berries that so many enjoyed over the years. His speeches, singing, and his banging foot when dancing, will always be heard. His contribution to his community will not be forgotten. ....show - Crawford - Stanley Albert Crawford passed away peacefully in the early morning of December 13th, 2013. Stan was born August 7th, 1947 in Sherbrooke, Quebec to Albert and Kathleen Crawford. Above all else, Stan put family first. From his growing up days with his brothers Donnie and Allan and his sister Shirley, Stan found joy in his family and friends. On August 24th, 1968, Stan married the love of his life, June Fullum and together they raised two sons, Kevin and Jason. Stan was an involved father coaching hockey teams, fishing and enjoying time spent with his sons and their circle of friends. Everyone who met Stan instantly felt the warmth and kindness of his welcoming nature. Stan worked in the newspaper industry his entire adult life and left a piece of his heart on The Toronto Sun pre press floor upon his retirement in 2002. He often talked with fondness of his days at The Financial Post and Sun and enjoyed sharing the many stories accumulated over the years. Stan leaves to mourn his passing: his wife June and their two sons Kevin (Lorinda) Crawford of Cambridge, Ontario and Jason (Rebecca) Crawford of Mississauga, Ontario. His grandchildren; Dylan, Karlee, Kristen, Michael, Hailey and Dayton, his stepmother Alberta Crawford, mother-in-law Alice Fullum, brothers Allan (Judy) Crawford and Timmy (Debby) Crawford, and very special brother in laws, sister in laws, nephews, nieces and cousins. Stan was predeceased by his parents Albert and Kathleen, his brother Donnie and his sister Shirley. Every member of Stan and June's family was of the upmost importance to Stan and he took pride in the wonderful relationships he created with each and every one of them. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17th at The Turner and Porter Funeral Home, Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Eliza (nee Wimshurst) Hatch, her siblings and husband Reginald, whom she joins in rest. She is survived by her children Ann Principe (Tony), Sandra Fauteux (Guy), Deborah McQuarrie (Derick) and Brian (Caroline), nine grandchildren: David, Rosalyn Price (Cullen) and Andrea Principe, Steven and Jasen Fauteux, Rod, Sarah Vining (Ian), Sean McQuarrie and Scotty (her feline grandchild), and five great-grandchildren: Willem and Aiden Vining, Olivia Fauteux, and Chloe and Owen Price. Called Jennie by all who knew her, she was an avid golfer for many years. She loved sewing, a good hotdog, cooking shows and music. She remained sharp as a tack to her final days, amazing many. Jennie could be pretty sneaky about slipping cash to her protesting grandchildren “to get a little treat”. Any card Jennie chose to sign her name to was guaranteed to be spectacularly “mushy”. She meant every word. She was also the great-grandmother of 14, Mindy, Nicholas, Kristina, Cynthia, Clinton, Amanda, Tyler, Jessie, Rebecca, Cohen, Lincoln, Sawyer, Michael, Myah, and great-great-grandmother to Justice George.
