LANCASTER – Edward F. McGee Jr.
....show 84, of North Road, died at his home Monday morning September 24, 2012.
Born February 6, 1928 in Ware, MA, he was the son of Edward F. McGee and Catherine A. (Curran) McGee.
Edward “Ted” McGee grew up in the village of Wheelwright in the town of Hardwick, MA. He was a graduate of Hardwick High School class of 1946. After serving in the US Navy he attended a vocational institute in Boston, MA, studying air condition, refrigeration and plumbing.
In 1952 he married Lois M. Sinclair of Barre, MA, and moved to Lancaster where he farmed and raised his family on the North Road. Later he took up plumbing working for his brother William McGee Co. Inc. retiring from Nels Nelson and Sons Plumbing and Heating at 62 years of age so he could resume his love of farming.
Ted was a Communicant of All Saints Church, Lancaster. He was also a 4th degree knight and past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus and member of the Men of St. Joseph
He is survived by his wife of 60 years; four daughters Katherine A. McGee of Bradenton, FL, Mary M. McGee of Oak Ridge, TN, Cecilia A Rugh and her husband William of Lancaster, Ellen F. St. Cyr and her husband Christopher of Lancaster; three sons, Timothy E. McGee and wife Joyce of Lancaster, Kevin P. McGee and wife Gail of Lancaster, Thomas S. McGee and wife Melissa of Stratham, NH; 11 grandchildren, Tommy Witte and wife Joy of Huntsville, AL, Stephen Witte and wife Melissa of Fayetteville, NC; Alexander Tardiff of Lunenburg, VT, Chelsea McGee of West Palm, FL, Graham Cabrey of Wilmington, DL, Michael McGee, Kyle McGee, Megan McGee, Meredith St. Cyr, Andrew St. Cyr all of Lancaster, Seamus McGee of Stratham, NH; and many nieces nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, September 28th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 9:00 AM at All Saints Church, Lancaster. Reverend Matthew Mason, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster.
Dillingham, Alaska- David Raymond “Joe” Whitcomb
....show , 66, formally of Dalton passed away on Friday September 21, 2012. He was born on April 19, 1946 in Concord, VT, a son to the late Raymond and Hortence (Ingalls) Whitcomb. Joe attended the Dalton School and the St. Johnsbury Trade School.
Over the years Joe worked as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator, truck driver, auto body shop owner, water well driller, gold miner, commercial and subsistence fisherman, an avid hunter and loved to cook. Joe would frequently go out of his way to lend a helping hand when needed. Joe raced for several years at Riverside Raceway in Groveton and was an avid NASCAR fan. Joe loved to visit with many family and friends in Alaska and in New England. Joe made sure to spend special time with each of his children and grandchildren to ensure they knew the importance of getting an education and working hard. Joe will be greatly missed by all those who were so fortunate to have known him.
He was preceded in death by five brothers; Eugene, Robert, Roger, Lawrence and Gene.
He is survived by his wife Rae Belle and daughters Katelyn and Abbey Whitcomb of Dillingham, AK; a son Raymond and granddaughters Reghan and Gracie Whitcomb of Dillingham, AK; a daughter Ellen and husband Jon and grandchildren Leigha and Wade Nelson of Lunenburg, VT; a daughter Ina Whitcomb and granddaughter Emily Offt of Lancaster, NH; Grandchildren Macaelin and Makenzie Flensburg of Dillingham, AK; a brother Bradley and wife Shirley Whitcomb of Dalton, NH. He is also survived by former wife Charlotte Cornell of Lunenburg, VT.

LANCASTER – Mary Emma Kenison
....show , 66, of Third Street, died Tuesday afternoon September 18, 2012 at home in her daughters arms after a long battle with cancer.
Mrs. Kenison was born in Lancaster on June 5, 1946 the daughter of Charles and Faye (Emerson) Hodge.
Mary was a devoted homemaker whose life was dedicated to her family. When her children participated in basketball, wrestling and auto racing she was their #1 fan. She and her late husband Donald G. Kenison Sr. were also former scoutmasters and hosted foreign student exchanges. She will be remembered as a mother to everyone. For a eight years she worked as a CNA at McKerley’s Nursing Home.
Family members include her six children Donald G. Kenison Jr. and wife Clarissa of Groveton, Russell E. Kenison Sr. and wife Stephanie of Groveton, Toby A. Kenison and wife Mary Beth of Groveton, Gina L. Bedell and husband Terry of Groveton, Jamie D. Kenison Sr.and wife Dian of Lancaster, Angela M. Arnesen and husband Brad of Jefferson; three sisters Cathy Bishop of Lancaster, Sally Morris of Orleans, VT, Dottie Hodgdon Guildhall; a brother Stephen Hodge Sr. of Groveton; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Donald Sr. predeceased her on October 21, 1997. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Charlene Ruth and Virginia F. Wallace.

EAST CONCORD, VT – Marion Lyon Fontaine
....show , 88, of Oregon Road, died Sunday afternoon September 16, 2012 at Country Village Health Care Center, Lancaster.
Mrs. Fontaine was born on Lancaster on September 18, 1923, the daughter of Lyman F. and Katherine (Bartholomew) Stillings.
For a time she resided in Lancaster and Littleton until she settled in East Concord in 1950. Through the years she has been employed at the Gilman Mill, Conners and Hoffman, and the St. Johnsbury Nursing Home. Her favorite pastime was reading.
Family members include her son Roy Lyon Jr. and his wife Joan of East Concord; four grandchildren, Crystal, Jason, Joseph, Heidi; four great-grandchildren, Danny, Dena, Marley, Georgia; and a sister Maude Timson of St. Johnsbury. She was predeceased by her first and second husbands Roy Lyon Sr., Mose William Fontaine and a sister Beverly Boulet.
At Marion’s request there are no visiting hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Littleton.
LANCASTER – Roland J. Perron
....show was born April 16, 1924 to Marie Alice Potvin and Rudolph Augustas Perron in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He attended grade school through high school in the same city. He went to Colby College in Maine in preparation for flight schools and successfully received his wings passing all requirements. He was ordered to Ladd Air Base, Fairbanks, Alaska flying B-29’s on surveillance of the Russian border. Roland was triple-rated as pilot, copilot, and navigator, serving six years in the US Army Air Corps.
One of his planes crashed and burned. Despite broken vertebraes he rescued two of his crew mates from the flames. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Oak Leaf Cluster for bravery beyond the call of duty. In addition he took part in an Alaskan survival expedition testing US tents, clothing, dehydrated foods and wilderness sustenance.
On January 1st, 1949 he was ordered to Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rapid City, SD. There he met and married Carole Turnquist April 10, 1949. The marriage of 63 ½ years lasted until his death September 7, 2012. Four living children were born in this union. Two sons, Roland Jr. of Lowell, MA, and Christopher of Vallejo, CA; two daughters, Mary Alice Perron of Berkeley, CA and Catherine Murphy of Pelham, NH. Three grandchildren gave Roland much pleasure; Andrew and Lauren Murphy of Pelham, NH and Joanna Perron of Lowell, MA.
After resigning from the Air Force Roland tried farming for Carole’s father for 3 ½ years. The farm economy led him to return to Massachusetts and he purchased a 39 acre vegetable, flower and tree farm in Lowell, MA. With the help of his wife and children, he endured also working at Raytheon for 25 years as a plating technician. The oldest son, Roland Jr., still manages the Lowell Farm and this farm is the last working farm in the city of Lowell, selling vegetables and Christmas trees.
Roland has two surviving sisters; Jacqueline Perron of Nashua, NH and Carolyn Jozokas of Northwood, NH, in addition many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 113 Main Street, Lancaster, NH, at 10:00 AM, Saturday September 22, officiated by Reverend David Taylor. A light luncheon will follow the service.

Guildhall - Timothy Allen Mowery-Penney
....show , 54, passed away on Thursday September 6, 2012 at Weeks Medical Center. He was born at Grafton County Hospital on August 25, 1958.
Tim was joined in a Civil Union with his partner Daniel Mowery on July 26, 2003 in Guildhall. Together they owned and operated White Mountain Limousine. Tim enjoyed playing Bingo and scratch tickets and he loved his son, granddaughter, dogs and cat.
He was predeceased by his foster mother Bernice Hampson, his in laws Ronald Mowery and Donna Petry. He is survived by his life time partner of 25 years Daniel Mowery-Penney of Guildhall, a son Alex Penney of Littleton and a granddaughter Aubrey Penney of Littleton.

LANCASTER – Maryann S. Flynn
....show , 44, of Elm Street, died Tuesday afternoon, August 28, 2012, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a recent illness.
Maryann was born in Lancaster, NH, on December 22, 1967, the daughter of Roland and Joan (Weiss) Frechette.
Raised in Groveton she was a graduate of Groveton High School and went on to attend the New Hampshire Community Technical College in Berlin earning a degree in accounting. Maryann has been a long time resident of the Groveton and Lancaster area and has been employed at George M. Stevens in Lancaster, Emerson’s in Groveton and Weeks Medical Center.
Family members include her husband David D. Flynn of Lancaster; her daughter Priscilla E. Flynn of Lancaster; her parents of Groveton; a sister Gail Yearke and her husband Russell of Enfield, NH; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A brother, David Frechette, predeceased her in 1986.

Lancaster, NH - William F. Driscoll
....show of Lancaster died August 1, 2012, in Fayetteville, NC at the age of 92. William was born Sept 8, 1919 in Worchester, MA to the late Frank and Sadie Driscoll. Mr. Driscoll served in the US Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II and in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Driscoll and a brother Robert Driscoll both of Lancaster. He is survived by a brother Edward Driscoll of Lancaster and a sister Marjorie McCormack of Groveton.
His wife of 62 years, Betty C. Driscoll of Lancaster died August 18, 2012 in Fayetteville, NC at the age of 88. Mrs. Driscoll was born June 26, 1924 and was raised in St Johnsbury, VT by the late Harold and Persis Coakley. She was preceded in death by a brother Carlyle of St Johnsbury, VT. She is survived by a brother Harold Coakley of St Johnsbury, VT.
They were both members of All Saints Catholic Church in Lancaster.
The Driscoll’s are survived by their sons Martin Driscoll, his wife Helen and their sons Tyler and Evan of Lancaster; and Dennis Driscoll, his wife Valerie of Fayetteville, NC and their children Kenneth, Sara, Jessica and Katherine.

Thomas H. Kingston
....show , 72 of Lancaster, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on August 17, 2012 at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon.
Mr. Kingston was born February 5, 1940 to Henry and Anna (Murphy) Kingston in Medford, MA. Growing up in Watertown MA, Tom worked in his fathers flooring store where he also ran his own hobby shop. Always the entrepreneur, he opened and operated his own flooring store in Marshfield, MA from 1969 to 1974 when he moved his family to Lancaster, NH. Shortly thereafter he opened The Carpet Barn.
As an avid bicyclist, Tom road his bike from Maine to Florida in 1991 with a fundraising group, raising money for the Alzheimer’s foundation in memory of his mother. After becoming a double amputee, Tom continued to ride a bike inspiring many as well as recently leading a Mardi Gras parade on his bicycle in Ellenton, FL where he and his wife spent their winters.
As Tom neared retirement he purchased several rental properties which he enjoyed renovating himself in his free time.
Always an early riser, Tom could be found having coffee at various local establishments where he enjoyed chatting with people, bragging about his grandchildren, and catching up on town news.
Tom leaves his wife Nancy (Ward/Mckenna) Kingston of Lancaster, sons John Mckenna of Manchester, NH, and Thomas J. Kingston and wife Andrea of Gilmanton IW, as well as three daughters Jackie Mckenna of Lancaster, Mary Walker and husband Michael of Keene, and Catherine Kingston and significant other Garrett Stumb of Nottingham. He leaves five grandchildren Emily, Dylan, Natalie, Madison, and Kelsey. Tom also leaves behind his beloved dog Ben.
There will be a memorial service held at the Methodist Church in Lancaster, at 3 PM on Friday the 24th, followed by a reception in the Methodist Hall until 6 PM. A private burial will be held the following morning at the Summer Street Cemetery. Cynthia "Cid" (Jeffery) Southworth
....show , of Lancaster, NH, died peacefully on August 16th with her loving family by her side. She was 66 years old.
Cid was born in Albuquerque, NM to Robert Emmitt Jeffery and Hannah McIntyre Jeffery. The daughter of a US Naval officer she grew up around the US, as well as in Italy and Malta, though always considered the family homestead in Randolph, VT her home.
She attended the University of Vermont, graduating with a BA in Sociology in 1966. During college, she met her lifelong love, Harrison Southworth, whom she married in 1969. Harry and Cid started their family in State College, PA where their two children Dana and Georgia were born.
Cid and her family moved to Lancaster in 1977, and she became an active and dedicated member of the local community. From a decade of teaching swimming at the Colonel Town Pool to organizing and running the local Red Cross Blood Bank to working at the White Mountains Regional High School, she positively affected many people. Cid’s commitment to improving the lives of young people led her to establish the Lancaster Juvenile Court Diversion Program. These among numerous other civic efforts defined who she was and earned her the Volunteer of the Year Award in Lancaster in 1993.
Cid was an avid golfer and enjoyed canoe rides on Martin Meadow Pond. Her kitchen was a favorite place for friends and family to enjoy a cup of good coffee and conversation about local goings on and national politics. Cid enjoyed the company of many fine cats over the years as well as summer band concerts and listening to Red Sox broadcasts.
Cid was predeceased in 2010 by her husband of 41 years, Harry Southworth. She is survived by her son Dana Southworth and wife Izabela and their sons David and Robert of Lancaster, NH, her daughter Georgia Southworth and husband Wesley Hoffman and their sons Felix and Casper of New York City, and her sister Hannah (Nan) Gwin of Randolph, VT, as well as the extended Southworth and McIntyre families.
Memorial visiting hours will be held at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster on Thursday, August 23rd from 5-8 p.m., and there will be a service at the Congregational Church in Lancaster on Friday August 24th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cid’s memory to the Colonel Town Recreation Department, P.O. LANCASTER - Margaret D. “Peggy” Roberts
....show , 71, of Grandview Drive, died Wednesday morning, August 15, 2012 after a recent illness.
Mrs. Roberts was born in West Stewartstown, NH, on July 22, 1941, the daughter of George Trenholme and Ina (McGrath) Dickson.
She was a graduate of Colebrook Academy, Lasell Junior College and Rollins College earning a BA in Sociology and Elementary Education.
Peggy married Erling R. “Butch” Roberts of Lancaster on September 8, 1963.
She has been a longtime Lancaster resident and active member of the community. She was a member of former head of the Booster Club, for 15 years worked on the Golf Tournament Committee for Weeks Medical Center Auxiliary, and was a volunteer at Lancaster School.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Lancaster where she served several terms as a vestry member and taught Sunday School.
Peggy enjoyed many things in life including piano playing, golfing, bowling, playing bridge, knitting, family pets and spending time with the “Fluffies”. She loved the family camp on Maidstone Lake and enjoyed waterskiing and spending time on the party boat.
Family members include her husband Butch of Lancaster; a son Michael Roberts and his wife Shelli of Lancaster; two daughters Michelle “Shelly” Stinehour and her husband John of Lunenburg, Margaret “Meg” Murray and her husband Ray of Lancaster; a brother Donald Dickson and his wife Joan of Colebrook; 7 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Whitefield - Brooke Nicole Ramsdell
....show , 19, passed away on Thursday August 9, 2012 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born on July 21, 1993 the daughter of Robert and Judith (Monahan) Ramsdell.
Brooke was a lifelong area resident graduating from White Mountain Regional High School in June of 2011. She was a three sport athlete throughout high school and the recipient of the Patricia McIntyre Simons Memorial Award presented to a female athlete for outstanding sportsmanship for four years. She enjoyed attending concerts and going shopping. Brooke was a courageous, kind, loving person who lived life to the fullest and was a good friend to everyone. She was a brave young woman who demonstrated strength beyond her years never feeling pity for herself and fought up to the very end.
Brooke is survived by her parents, a brother Tyler Ramsdell, her fiancé Chad Kenison, her grandfather Tom Monahan, her great grandmother Phyllis Monahan, several aunts, uncles, cousins and her dog Bentley. She was pre deceased by her grandparents Ted & Maryann Ramsdell and Martha Monahan.

Jefferson - Joseph Wilford “Uncle Joe” Gilbert
....show , 94, passed away on August 8, 2012 at Weeks Medical Center. Mr. Gilbert was born on May 2, 1918 moving to Jefferson in 1938.
Mr. Gilbert enjoyed horses and showing vegetables at the Lancaster and Fryeburg Fairs. He was especially proud of the car he built from scratch piece by piece with George Stevens. On January 3, 2012 he was presented with an award for being the oldest living citizen of Jefferson.
He is survived by his sister-in-law and care giver of 25 years Jeanette Gilbert of Jefferson, A nephew Burt Gilbert of Lancaster, three nieces Rose McDaniel of Orford, Elaine Binette of Twin Mountain and Shirley Kenison-Ward of Piermont.

....show , 71, formerly of Dalton, died from a sudden illness, Saturday evening, August 4, 2012, at the Dolly Copp Campground in Martin’s Location.
Mr. Grimard was born in Lancaster on May 12, 1941, the son of Marcell Roger and Enid Blanche (Bennett) Grimard.
Roger was raised in Whitefield and Dalton and for a time resided in New York State. Retuning to Dalton he lived there for many years and owned and operated R&T Used Cars. Later on he worked 15 years as a sales representative for the Currier dealerships in Lancaster and Gorham.
In Dalton he served on police department and was a volunteer member of the Dalton Fire Department. He was a member of the Elks in Littleton.
Family members include his wife Cleona A. (Hartshorn) Grimard; a son Roger D. Grimard of Lancaster; a step-son Michael Grimard of Whitefield; three grandchildren, Hope, Jakub, Sierra; two step-grandchildren, Michael and Edward; a brother Peter Grimard of NJ; three sisters, Priscilla, Sandy, Rita all of New York; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

MEREDITH – Ermine “Gussie” G. McGee
....show , 85, formerly of Twin Mountain, NH, died Saturday morning August 4, 2012, at the Golden View Health Care Center, Meredith.
Gussie was born in Morristown, NJ, on September 3, 1926 the daughter of the late Mario and Theresa (Rizzi) Gusmai and wife of the late Charles E. McGee.
She was a former resident of Twin Mountain and the North Country of New Hampshire. She attended Plymouth State College, Plymouth, NH, where she acquired her teaching degree.
Until recently, Gussie had been a longtime resident of Knoxville, TN, and was a founding member of All Saints Catholic Church in Knoxville. She established the Friends and Crafts Guild and was a volunteer at Park West Medical Center for 12 years.
Gussie is survived by her loving sons, Charles M., of Moultonboro, NH, Michael E., of Amesbury, MA, Patrick J., Matthew J., of Hooksett, NH, a sister Rena Baker of Vienna, VA; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday August 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Mission Church, 65 St. Patrick's Church Road, Twin Mountain, NH. Reverend Matthew J. Mason, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Margaret’s Cemetery in Twin Mountain.

LANCASTER – Michael J. Dobson
....show , 57, of Forbes Street, died of a sudden illness, Thursday evening, August 2, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Dobson was born in Lancaster on December 27, 1954, the son of Frederick Vernon and Elsie (Murphy) Dobson.
For a time Michael worked as a mechanic at various garages in the North Country and for many years he was employed at FCI/Burndy in Littleton. He enjoyed his collections of clocks, light houses and wolves but his favorite hobby was being a handyman. He was very good and building and fixing things.
Family members include his daughter Patricia Dobson of Littleton; his mother Elsie Dobson of Lancaster; a granddaughter Elizabeth Ploss; two brothers, Bruce Dobson of Lancaster, John Dobson and his wife Kathy of Lunenburg; a sister Patricia Morrisette and her husband Lane of Whitefield; his aunt Pauline Elliot of Lancaster; nieces and nephews Elsie Rose Dobson, Taylor Dobson, Meadow Dobson, Brandon Dobson; and his best friend and companion, his dog “Tiny”. He was recently predeceased by his brother Clyde Dobson on May 13, 2012.

Lancaster, NH - William F. Driscoll
....show of Lancaster died August 1, 2012, in Fayetteville, NC at the age of 92. William was born Sept 8, 1919 in Worchester, MA to the late Frank and Sadie Driscoll. Mr. Driscoll served in the US Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II and in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Driscoll and a brother Robert Driscoll both of Lancaster. He is survived by a brother Edward Driscoll of Lancaster and a sister Marjorie McCormack of Groveton.
His wife of 62 years, Betty C. Driscoll of Lancaster died August 18, 2012 in Fayetteville, NC at the age of 88. Mrs. Driscoll was born June 26, 1924 and was raised in St Johnsbury, VT by the late Harold and Persis Coakley. She was preceded in death by a brother Carlyle of St Johnsbury, VT. She is survived by a brother Harold Coakley of St Johnsbury, VT.
They were both members of All Saints Catholic Church in Lancaster.
The Driscoll’s are survived by their sons Martin Driscoll, his wife Helen and their sons Tyler and Evan of Lancaster; and Dennis Driscoll, his wife Valerie of Fayetteville, NC and their children Kenneth, Sara, Jessica and Katherine.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Tuesday September 4, 2012, at 10 AM at All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Lancaster, NH.
CLAREMONT – Dawn Berry
....show , 53, formerly of Colebrook and Twin Mountain, died Sunday July 29, 2012, at the Valley Regional Hospital, Claremont.
Mrs. Berry was born in New Britain, CT, on June 8, 1959. She was the daughter of Wayne A. and Joyce B. (King) Holden.
She was raised in Colebrook until her family later moved to Twin Mountain; she graduated from White Mountain Regional High School in Whitefield. On November 1, 1985 she married Ted E. Berry and they settled in Claremont in 1988.
Dawn had many interests including hunting, fishing, photography, and collecting bears. She also enjoyed a good campfire or bonfire. She was also a dog lover, especially of her favorite dog “Uny”. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren who she adored and lived for. She will be remembered by most for her huge heart and caring ways.
Family members include her husband Ted of Claremont; her children and their significant others, Neecia Berry and Tonia of Claremont, Zeric Berry and Nicole of West Lebanon; her father of Charlestown; her sisters and their significant others, Debra Morin and Cheryl of Milton, DE, and Cynthia Holden-Plummer and Jim of Grantham; her grandchildren Tailyn, Tristen, Riley , Max, Trent; three nieces Tearsha, Kyra, Keyllie; two nephews Thomas and William; several aunts and many cousins. Her mother and a baby brother Michael predeceased her.

Groveton, NH - John Sherman Rich Sr.
....show , 82, passed away on Sunday July 15 at Concord Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Whitefield on June 2, 1930 a son to the late Nelson and Adrienne (Gonthier) Rich.
John lived most of his life in Groveton and graduated from Groveton High School in 1949. He drove truck for many years for the family business and served in the Marines from 1952-54. For 32 years he was employed at the Groveton Paper Mill and was a Director for the Gropaco Federal Credit Union for over 35 years. John enjoyed woodworking and gardening and was very well known for his bird houses and feeders as well as his pumpkins.
He was pre deceased by his parents, his wife Mary (Kenney) Rich, two sisters Corinne Kennett and Barbara Rich and one brother Leo Rich. He is survived by his son John Rich Jr., of Groveton, his daughter Kathy Dubois and her husband Andy of Lancaster, a grandson, Nicholas Dubois, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend graveside service on Friday July 20 at 10 AM in the Northumberland Cemetery.

LANCASTER – Teresa S. Sampson
....show , 61, of Main Street, died after a period of declining health at her home on Friday July 13, 2012.
She was also born on a Friday the 13th in October of 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Chester and Zofia (Tomasik) Zawasky.
Teresa was a graduate of Watertown High School, Watertown, MA. She ended up in the North Country in the early 80’s by her profession at the time which was a long haul truck driver. She drove for Rene Lalumiere Trucking which she was very proud of. Later on she worked small jobs around town, most recently being Ray & Deb’s Variety.
Family members include a son Paul J. Arno and his wife Melissa of Lancaster; Kristine Blue and her husband Aaron of University Place, WA; and four grandchildren.

LANCASTER – Norman L. Skinner Sr.
....show , 85, formerly of 7 Meadow Mist Drive, Whitefield, died Sunday morning July 8, 2012, at the Country Village Genesis Health Care Center, Lancaster.
Mr. Skinner was born in Barton, VT, on April 7, 1927, the son of Lynn and Dora (Blake) Skinner.
Norman loved to hunt and trap and once published a how-to-book titled “N. Skinner’s Sure Fire Deer Hunting Method”. He also enjoyed singing and was known as the karoke king for the many karoke machines he owned.
Family members include his daughter Katherine Couture and her husband Donald of Berlin: a son Brian Skinner of Manchester; his long time companion Eleanor Hart of Lancaster; a brother Everett E. Skinner of Goffstown; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his extended family at Country Village Nursing Home. He was predeceased by a son Norman Skinner Jr., his parents, and two brothers, Dean B. Skinner and Wallace L. Skinner.
At Norman’s request there are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Wednesday morning, July 11, at 11:00 AM, in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. Rev. Sharon van der Laan, pastor of the Lancaster Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate.

LANCASTER – Barbara A. Berry
....show , 72, died suddenly Tuesday evening, July 3, 2012, at Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center where she has been a resident for 9 years.
Mrs. Berry was born in Lancaster on April 8, 1940, the daughter of Theodore Collins and Frances Collins Stevens.
She has been a Lancaster resident for most of her life and was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. Barbara loved to play cards and cook. She will be remembered as a caring and giving person.
Family members include three sons, Harry E. Smith of North Haverhill, Jeffery Berry of Lancaster, Richard Berry of Laconia; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister Rachel Gould of Punta Gorda, FL. She was predeceased by her husband Hartley H. Berry; her parents; her stepfather Harold Stevens; and her brothers Edward, Clarence, Robert and Theodore.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening, July 5, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.
