....show - It is with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to our Dad on July 2nd 2012. Dale Miller left us peacefully at the age of 86 surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Scotty Miller and father to Liz McCallum (Dann), Evelyn, Mitch(Lori), Lois (Paul) and grandfather to 11 wonderful grandchildren and a special great grandchild, as well as a brother to Rev. Carlton (Joan) Miller of Sakatoon, Sask. and the late Vivian. She married Ernest Smith on July 3, 1943. No one had a greater love of life than mom… she loved her home, her family and her friends. She had the most amazing support group and circle of friends that hand carried her with love and encouragement. Her favourite hobby was dancing, and she dances whenever her legs allowed. When she was not dancing, she was making pickles and jams… all grown in her garden, or picked be herself and her friends. She was a pioneer living alone in an old farm house in Richmond, QC and promising her worried children that she would soon move to town. Edna is predeceased by her husband Ernest, her brother Alton and her sister Freda Raymond. She is survived by her 3 daughters; Judy (Donnie Johnston), Betty (Tom Horgan) and Alma (Stephen Marsh). She has 6 grandchildren; Cindy (Gary), Scott (Kelly), Barbie, Sherry (Ron), Shelly (Jim) and Laurie, several great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Edna was very involved in all the activities surrounding her home. She belonged to many groups, but the Richmond Hill Women’s Institute was her true favourite, and this small group worked very hard to keep the Richmond Hill Institute afloat for this remarkable woman. The daughter of Ethel Parsons Shattuck and Lawrence Shattuck, born in Fitchburg, Mass. Dorothy was raised by her maternal grandparents in East Angus, Quebec where she lived most of her life and where she was a valued, retired employee of the East Angus paper mills. She leaves behind her Shattuck nieces and nephew, Nancy Shattuck Trainque, Lawrence III Shattuck, Marilyn Shattuck Fuse, Maureen Shattuck Berder, Mary Shattuck, Michael Shattuck, Kathleen Shattuck Dionne, their spouses and children throughout the North Eastern United States, the Parsons first cousins, Elizabeth Parsons Shepard, Calgary, Alberta and William Parsons of Coral Gables, Florida and many extended cousins and their spouses and children throughout North America. ....show - The family of Walter Stevens announces the passing away of this fine man after a hard fought battle with dementia on April 23, 2012 in his 83rd year. His last moments were surrounded by his loving family. Walter is survived by his wife of 58 years Margaret (Pope), daughter Cathy (Nick DeNobile), two sons Mark (Carmen) and Paul (Linda) and his six adored grandchildren Sarah and Megan, Sebastien and Kelly, Courtney and Cole. Walter is also survived by sister Marge (the late Ed Smith), Edna (Ouellette) and brothers Weldon (Jacqueline) Jim (the late Noreen) and Bill (Joyce). He was predeceased by sister Isobel (the late Doug Dykeman). Uncle Walter will be sorely missed by his many nieces and nephews. Walter worked at Dyson and Armstrong from 1956 to 2003 and was coowner with his brother Bill from 1969. He greatly valued the many enduring friendships he developed during his career. Walter was also a devoted supporter of the Wales Home Retirement Residence. He served on numerous committees and was president from 1996 to 1998. Walter was always actively involved with the Trenholm and the Richmond Melbourne United Churches. Walter was a member of the St.Francis Masonic Lodge # 15 where he worked on various community projects. Walter was always interested in local communities and served on the St.Felix de Kingsey council for many years. He was a man that never believed in having idle moments and taking time to put up his feet. At the centre of his life, Walter was a family man, greatly loved and proud of his family. At any opportunity he loved to be in the presence of his grandchildren and it brought out his youthful side. He believed in family, the value of work, fun, striving to do your best, having a positive outlook and looking for the good in everyone. Those of us who were blessed to know and love Walter will miss him and strive to honour the memory of this gracious and honorable man. He will be missed by his adoring grand-daughter Krista and her son Benjamin, and his grand-son Jason (Katie). A generous man who was diligent in his chosen paths of life. He served his country in Canada, Continental Europe, and Cyprus as a member of the Canadian Black Watch, 2nd Batallian, Regular forces, from January 25th, 1954 to January 31st, 1969 when he was honorably released. His orders, decorations, medals, mentions and commendations awarded during service were The United Nations Medal (Cyprus), Candian Centennial Medal and Canadian Froces Decoration. In 1969, his new career service began at The Sherbrooke Hospital where he served for 28 years as an orderly known as "Woodie". He made many friends and considered many there his family. Dad will always be remembered for his smiles, laughs and many jokes. He touched many lives and all who knew him were blessed. May he be at peace and always loved. ....show - Died peacefully in Sherbrooke, Quebec, in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her loving husband Dr. Harry Farfan and her son Harry and sweet grandson Paul. She leaves behind her devoted children: Frank (Jean Dalton), James (Aura Andrade), Leslie (Terence Hawes), Penny (Julia Gaunce) Matthew (Josiane Caillet) and Gareth (Amanda Gleave); precious grandmother of Tom, Mark, Terry, Aurelie, Eric, Lily, Sophia and Nando. She was the dear older sister of Rosemary McKinney and the late Anita Dodd. She will be missed by nieces, nephews, friends and her faithful Scruffy. Aurelie had a young heart, refused to grow old and loved fun and adventure. More than anything, she was devoted to her family and their many friends, and as “feast mistress” loved the commotion of a full house. She will be forever missed. Visitation will be at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead, Quebec on Tuesday evening, May 1st, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Wednesday afternoon, May 2nd at 1:00 p.m. until departure for the funeral mass at 3:00 p.m. in Ste. Therese Catholic Church in Beebe, Quebec. Interment to follow at Marlington Cemetery in Ogden Quebec.

Dear mother of Daniel ( Kendall ), James ( Danielle ), Angela ( Michael ), Joy ( Greg ) and Julia ( David ). Cherished grandmother of 12 and beloved great-grandmother of 16. Beloved twin sister of Betty Holmes and dear sister of Nancy Elliot. She will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. ....show - Passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the age of 85. Arlene Wilson was the wife of the late John F. Young " Freddy " and the late George Pinkham and dear mother of Gail ( Andrew Smith ) and Ronald ( Debbie Smith ). Arlene was the loving nanny and little nan to 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Arlene is survived by her brother Glen ( Doris Whitiker ) and was predeceased by her brother Wilmer ( Iris ). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her friends. In respect of Arlene's wishes, cremation was held at the Cass Crematorium and a graveside service will be held at the Huntingville Cemtery on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2 pm. Arlene's family would like to thank the doctors and staff of 5 A CHUS Hôtel-Dieu for their care of Arlene. As memorial tributes, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Stanley James Whitcomb was the beloved husband of the late Olive Bryan and loving father of Sandra ( late John Kimpton ), Catherine ( late Michel Lefebvre ) , Nancy, Amy and the late Edward James and was also the cherished grandfather of John K. Kimpton ( Sylvie Tremblay ), Cindy Whitcomb ( Steven Laroche ), Raymond Lefebvre and Jamie Whitcomb and the great grandfather of John Alex, Julia, Justin and Samantha. Stanley is survived by his brother Robert ( Olive ), and his many nieces , nephews and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough St. Ayer's Cliff, QC on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, January 27th from 1 to 1:45. A funeral service will held in the St. James Anglican Church at 2 pm with the Rev. Barbara Wintle officiating. Interment in the St. James Cemetery, Hatley, QC. Beloved wife of the late Marcel Vallée and dear mother of Mary Louise (late Normand Jaques), Annette, Mark (Isabelle Vallée), Jean (Brandy Smyth) and Mario. Cherished grandmother of Danny, Bobby, Melyssa,Tylor, Toni-Anne, Nik, Devin, Darren, Marie-Frederique, Benjamin, Elijah and Jaya and great grandmother of Mary-Lee, Andrea and Jared. Linda also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters, and step-mother Ada, along with her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many other family and friends. Resting at the St.Paul's Catholic Church, Scotstown, on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 12 to 2 pm followed by the funeral mass at 2 pm. Interment in the Bown Cemetery Canterbury. Betty will also be sadly missed by many close family members and friends. There will be visitation in Christ Church in Stanstead on Friday, February 24, 2012, where friends may from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and also on Saturday, February 25 from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. followed by the service.
