Nancy was born in Benton, NH, December 22, 1943, a daughter of Douglas E. and Elizabeth L. (Mardin) Brooks. She graduated Haverhill Academy, Class of 1963 and married Richard R. Fournier on February 27, 1965, at St. Joseph s Catholic Church in Woodsville. For many years they lived in Merrimack, NH before retiring to Monroe in 2000. Nancy worked for the former Sprague Electric and Fab-Raz companies in Nashua. She later became the supervisor of housekeeping at The Appleton Inn in Merrimack. She greatly enjoyed fishing in Pittsburg. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Richard R. Fournier of Monroe; two daughters, Marilyn J. Pollock and husband George of Apopka, FL, and Vicki M. Quagliani and husband Raymond of Manchester, NH; three sons, Steven E. Fournier of Concord, NH, Tommy A. Fournier and wife Kristin of Manchester, and Donald R. Fournier and wife Anne of Merrimack; 14 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; a sister, Carole Sibley of Haverhill; a brother, Russell Brooks of Lisbon, NH; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth Brooks on July 14, 1992, her father, Douglas Brooks on January 23, 2007, and a brother, Wayne Chip Brooks on September 29, 2005. Norman was born in Cabot, VT on March 30, 1932, a son of Henry and Rosa (Meurnier) Patoine. He married Winnifred Anair on November 27, 1963. Norman operated his own excavation business. He also served as a Correctional Officer at the Grafton County Jail for 20 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Woodsville. Together, Norman and Winnifred enjoyed wintering in Zephyr Hills, FL for 19 years. He always enjoyed trading, auctions, car show, and flea markets. Norman was predeceased by a daughter, Katherine Patoine on September 5, 2008, and by two brothers, Henry and Leo Patoine. Bradford, VT Mary M. Munn
....show , 62, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011 with her family and loved ones by her side. Mary was born in Haverhill, NH, September 13, 1948, the daughter of Bryce Metcalf and Natalie (Wright) Allen. She grew up on a dairy farm on Taplin Hill in East Corinth, VT where her love and caring for animals began. Mary graduated from Bradford Academy, class of 1966, and was a graduate of Champlain College in Burlington, VT. She worked for the Vermont Department of Health in White River Junction, and was a VT State Employee for over 30 years. What Mary liked most was helping people. She especially enjoyed working with the WIC program, and a highlight for her was meeting all the new babies she could hold and adore. She was a huge animal lover and took in many dogs and cats that needed homes over the years. Mary saw beauty in all different types of animals and believed that each one had their own unique personality, sense of humor, and story to tell. She loved to cook and host gatherings for family and friends. Mary was famous for having too much food for the number of people she was expecting, and what people didn't eat, she always sent home with them, it was another example of her generous nature. Mary was a beautiful, loving, caring, nurturing and fun mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, and took advantage of every opportunity to give. Mary loved giving gifts to her family. She couldn't help but give Birthday and Christmas presents early and then gave more gifts on the actual day of celebration. Mary loved her girlfriends, who were a great source of fun, laughter, support, and strength. She loved to sit out on her sunny deck among her flowers and talk, reminisce, and watch the dogs play. Mary took great pride in her surroundings, and her home truly was where her heart was for almost 40 years. She truly inspired those who knew her, especially the last two years, to stay positive, be brave, and always take the time to make yourself and others laugh. Mary had an incredible love for life, tenacity, and wry sense of humor, she will be greatly missed. For all who had the privilege of knowing her, her spirit will be alive. She was born in Marshfield, VT, January 2, 1923, a daughter of Fred and Ida (Buchanan) Needham and has lived in Groton for many years. Prior to her retirement she worked in quality control and as a lab technician for 35 years at Sprague Electric of Barre, VT. Bernice married Arthur P. Langevin on May 5, 1973 and he predeceased her on March 2, 1998. She was also predeceased by a sister Phyllis Burke, and two brothers Robert and Edward Needham. Monroe, NH Harold A. Whipple
....show , retired Real Estate Investigator for the Vermont Secretary of State, passed away on April 10 at the Littleton Regional Hospital. Following an uphill 10 year battle with various types of cancers, and having lost most of his eyesight, Harold remained upbeat until the very end. Harold was born in 1928 at the Whipple Family Farm on Whipple Hill in Lyndonville, Vermont, to the late Henry and Hazel Whipple. He attended the Fletcher School and Lyndon Institute. In 1945 Harold entered the US Air Force where he obtained the rank of T/Sgt. as a Flight Engineer. Flying supplies and wounded he saw many parts of the world. During his military career he obtained numerous medals and ribbons with the highlight of obtaining his Silver Wings. In 1953 Harold gave up his Military Career to aid his parents with the operation of the farm. Later, he moved to Boston and attended Boston University evening school in the study of real estate and banking which later became his passion and vocation. Harold and his wife Beverly of 55 years were married in Allston, Massachusetts, on July 16, 1955. Together they owned and operated several businesses in the North Shore Area of Massachusetts. In 1975 they purchased a home in Monroe, New Hampshire, and Harold became employed by the Time Sales Division of the Howard National Bank. In 1976 Harold joined the Vermont Secretary of State as their sole Professional Conduct Investigator covering the entire state of Vermont and parts of New Hampshire. He became a member of both the State and National Real Estate Investigators Associations, receiving many certificates and diplomas and becoming deemed the authority on real estate practices in a court of law. In June 1989 Yankee Homes Magazine, a division of Yankee Homes, featured an article about Harold, with his picture, entailing his position in state government. Harold had a great sense of humor and compassion which yielded him many friends in his life and travels. If one ever needed $5.00 and Harold had $10.00 he would give them the $10.00. He had the pleasure of having three previous Secretaries of State attend his state retirement party which spoke volumes of the type of person Harold was as an employee and friend to all. One of Harold s pleasures in life was his 1928 Model A Roadster automobile, that won many prizes, which he often provided for parades and weddings or special occasion functions. During his residence in Massachusetts he became a member of the Danvers Mosaic Lodge of Masons, the Middleton Lions Club, the Board of Trade, a Trustee of the Middleton Library and a member of various other civic organizations. For the past eleven years Harold and Beverly have made their winter home at the Twin Fountains Club in Lake Wales, Florida. Harold will be greatly missed and always remembered by his loving and devoted wife Beverly of 123 Winchester Drive, Monroe, NH. His two children and their spouses: his son Daniel and wife Roberta Whipple of 111 Gilbert Hart Lane, Wallingford, VT, and his daughter Deirdre and husband Jonathan Gawne of 399 Concord St., Framingham, MA. Two precious grandchildren Gabriana and Nathaniel Whipple of Wallingford meant so much to Grampy as he learned of their day to day accomplishments. He is survived by two sisters: Marion Sciarappa of Malden, Massachusetts, and Mildred Murtiff of St. Johnsbury; his sister-in-law Helen Fee of Florida who thought of him as a close brother; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his infant son, his sister Marjorie Rexford, and his brother Henry Whipple of St. Johnsbury Center. Otis was born in Burlington, VT, May 21, 1928, the son of David Stuart and Thressa (Blaine) Stevenson. He married Esther E. Gadapee on October 7, 1946. Otis was a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Peacham, Caledonia Sand and Gravel, and Winterset, Inc. An avid outsdoorsman, Otis enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed dancing, sugaring, and auctions. He loved fair season and the activities associated with fairs, especially horse and ox pulling. His favorite was the Fryeburg Fair. Otis was always available to lend a helping hand. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Esther E. Stevenson on November 7, 2002. Survivors include his three daughters, Janice M. Page and husband Frank of Groton, Virginia R. Douse and husband Tim of East Ryegate, and Cheryl E. Slayton and husband David of East Ryegate; four sons, David O. Stevenson and wife Marilyn of Barnet, Richard B. Stevenson and wife Paula of Barnet, Norman S. Stevenson and wife Penny of West Barnet, and Frederick A. Danville, VT - Marcia Louise (Livingston) White
....show passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at her home in Danville. She was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on June 6, 1939 the daughter of Hazen Asa and Geraldine Ruth (Farrow) Livingston. She graduated from Peacham Academy Class of 1957. Following graduation she worked at Rockville Savings Bank in Rockville, CT. She married her high school sweetheart Stephen C. White on March 14, 1959. After Steve s time in the Army, they bought a home in East Peacham where they raised their four sons. She loved being a full time homemaker and visiting with her friends. Marcia was a member of the Peacham Congregational Church and served on the business committee, church council, and taught Sunday school for many years. She also sang in both the junior and adult choirs. While the boys were in elementary school she was an active member of the Peacham PTG. She was an auditor for the Town of Peacham for several years, and was a 20 year member of the Just-A-Club. She worked at the former Caledonia National Bank in Danville and later at Citizens Savings Bank in St. Johnsbury. Before her retirement she spent her time as a caregiver to her grandchildren, caring for the newborns and the older ones as they needed her. This was one of the most rewarding times in her life. Marcia and Steve always wanted to drive across this beautiful country and they spent many years making that dream come true, traveling with their dear friends Mac and Marilyn Wright. She has always kept a diary and has loved having the diaries and photo albums to reminisce with. Cape Cod was another of their favorite places to visit with children and in later years with Bob and Carol Jablonski. She loved spending time at the camp on Martin s Pond: first with her children and then with the grandchildren. As the family grew it became a happy, loving gathering place for all, which now includes the great grandchildren. Throughout the years Marcia and Steve followed and supported their children and grandchildren at softball, baseball, basketball, and soccer games; all the sports that they loved and so enjoyed attending. Marcia always felt blessed to have lived her life full of love and happy times with her family and friends. When she had to live alone she was given such loving care from her sons, their wives, and grandchildren. Marcia was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Stephen White on May 17, 2010; two infant grandchildren, Randy Michael and Nicole Rae; and her parents, Hazen on November 26, 1988 and Geraldine on December 12, 2004. She is survived by four sons, Daniel and wife Cindy, Richard and wife Jill, Darren and wife Ann, and Jeremy all of Danville, and a daughter- in-law Sarah of Peacham; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Skeele Livingston and wife Lucille of Missouri and Gerald Livingston and wife Jan of Utah, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was born in Haverhill, NH, September 16, 1953, the son of John and Iona V. (Mason) Boutin, Jr. Dale married Annie Horne on February 12, 1972. He was a self employed logger for most of his life. Dale loved his skidder and spent hours on it both in the woods and on the back roads. He was known to his many friends as Sarge . Dale loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with family at family outings and cookouts. He was predeceased by his parents, John Boutin, Jr. on May 31, 1982 and Iona V. (Mason) Boutin on January 27, 2000; and a brother, Robert Boutin. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Annie Boutin of North Haverhill; two sons, Richard Boutin and wife Dee Dee and Jason Boutin and wife Melissa both of North Haverhill; two grandchildren, Eliza and Mason Boutin; a sister, Judy Johnson and husband Tom of Woodsville; three brothers, Lewis A. He worked for Blake Creamery and also worked for the Glencliff Home for the Elderly on the grounds maintenance crew. Bill owned a dairy farm on Jeffers Hill Road called the Timberledge Farm. He was a member and former Deacon of Bethany Congregational Church. He was also a former member of the Mt. Mooselauke Grange in East Haverhill. Bill was always ready to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and community. He was predeceased by five sisters, Audrey Grimes, Flora Grimes, Louise Aldrich, Madeline Martin, and Doris Keniston; six brothers, Gerald Grimes, Ernest Grimes, Joseph Grimes, Ivan Grimes, Malcolm Grimes, and Richard Grimes. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley Grimes of Pike, NH; a daughter, Pamela L. Badeau and husband Bernard of Barre, VT and Ft. Myers, FL; a son, William R. ....show , 74, died on May 10, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. His loving family was ever present in his final days providing him great courage and strength. He was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, August 27, 1936, the son of Howard and Marguerite (McLaren) Meserve. Bob was a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, Class of 1954. He spent his freshman year of college at Middlebury and following his father s death, attended and graduated from the University of Vermont, Class of 1958. Bob served with the Vermont Air National Guard until his honorable discharge in December 1964. He married his wife of 46 years, Janet Wilson, on August 1, 1964. Their two children, Christine and Richard have been blessed with his steadfast devotion. As his children grew, attendance at school sports events and a variety of other activities were of paramount importance to Bob. His commitment and involvement carried on for his beloved grandchildren. Bob had a long and successful career in the building supplies industry. Although he had a strong work ethic, Bob s most rewarding and special times were spent with his wife and family, often at their summer cottage on the lake, or visiting with them in New Hampshire and Vermont. He treasured being a part of his adult children s lives and families. Simple living brought him joy. Indeed, a delightful day included a long walk with a family member, friend, a granddog or on his own. For the past 11 years, Bob was dedicated to the care of his mother, Marguerite. His compassionate care was often sprinkled with a sense of humor and he was a loyal and generous son. Bob will be remembered lovingly by many and forever missed. He was predeceased by his father, Howard Meserve and his step father, Elmer W. Chamberlin. Survivors include his mother, Marguerite Chamberlin of Monroe, NH; his wife of 46 years, Janet Meserve of Yarmouth, ME; a daughter, Christine Bowen and husband Douglas of Williston, VT; a son, Richard Meserve and wife Jennifer of Falmouth, ME; his mother, Marguerite Chamberlin of Monroe, NH; and six grandchildren, Shannon, Katrina, Hannah, Kaitlin, Josh, and Jake. ....show , 79, died on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, NH. She was born in Barnet, VT, November 19, 1931, one of the thirteen children of Arthur and Amanda (Cassady) Locke. She married Calvin S. Bogie on August 6, 1951. Audrey worked at the Littleton Shoe Shop early in her working career. She also worked at Kimball and Miles store in Barnet for many years. Audrey worked at the West Barnet Senior Meal Site for over 20 years. She did custom sewing out of her home and was an excellent cook, making homemade donuts, jams, jellies, and anything made from scratch. She enjoyed taking care of her flower and vegetable gardens, canning most of her produce. She drove school bus in the Barnet School System for over 20 years. Audrey was a devoted wife and caregiver to her family. She would always stop and lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was predeceased by a grandson, Nicholas J. Nick Bogie on March 31, 2011; five siblings, Louise Cassady, Marie Cassady, Pauline Ingraham, Roger Cassady, and Allen Cassady. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Calvin S. ....show , 70, of Woodsville Road, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. Tom was born in Haverhill, NH, on January 17, 1941, to Donald W. and Laura (Griffin) Guganig. In 1960, he graduated from McIndoe Falls Academy. He then joined the US Navy, serving aboard the carrier, USS Lake Champlain. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he entered Emerson College in Boston and received his BA and Masters Degrees in Mass Communication. For 25 years, he was the manager of the television studio at Emerson College, retiring in 2006. Tom lived in Everett, MA for many years prior to retiring to the family home in Monroe. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Woodsville. He was a member of the McIndoe Falls Academy Alumni Association and worked to complete the digital archiving on the history of the Academy. Marylin operated an assisted living facility at her home in Haverhill called the Haverhill House for 25 years. Marylin had a special place in her heart for animals. There was always a dog or cat around her home. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens. When she could, she loved to travel. Egan, Sr. on October 26, 1995 and by her siblings, Hannah, George, Bertha, and Verna. ....show , 83, of Stanton Road, died on Monday, May 23, 2011, at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. Mary was born in Monroe on February 18, 1928, to Robert and Hazel (Smith) Ward. She graduated from McIndoe Falls Academy in 1946 and the Brightlook Hospital School of Nursing in 1949, where she and a wonderful group of nursing students developed lifelong friendships that have kept them close throughout the years. She worked as a registered nurse at Brightlook Hospital, St. Johnsbury Hospital and later at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab. On May 28, 1952, she married Rodney S. Stanton, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years. Together with Mary s brother Les, they built their small egg business into North Country Farms, which became one of the largest egg processing companies in the area. Known as Aunt Mary to most of her Monroe relatives (even her elders!), she was always there when called upon to care for the sick or injured. Her nursing skills and kind heart made here the perfect caregiver. The Stantons wintered in Eustis, Florida, where Mary enjoyed visiting with her many friends and playing bocce several times a week. She also loved to sing. She was a member of her church choirs both in Monroe and Eustis, as well as North Country Chorus, with whom she and her family traveled to Europe, combining vacation time with the chorus performances. She also enjoyed memberships in several social and civic organizations, including the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Garden Club. Family was most important to Mary. She loved attending sporting events with her children and grandchildren and watching her family grow and love life. Mary is survived by a daughter, Deborah Regis and her husband Robert and their six children, Brittany, Amanda, Craig, Paul, Jillian and Mark, all of North Monroe; a son, Peter Stanton and wife Cynthia and their three sons, Kevin, Nicholas and Michael, all of North Monroe; two brothers, Les Ward and H. Norman Ward and wife Eva, and sister-in-law Betty Ward, all of North Monroe, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Rodney in 2004; a son, Baby Paul Stanton; three brothers, Homer Ward, R. Linfield Ward and wife Sarah, Philip Ward, and sister-in-law Doris Ward. Following high school, Sam enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Sergeant in Korea where he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and Korean Service Medal with two Bronze service stars. For 50 years he was a chef at the Happy Hour Restaurant in Wells River before his retirement. He was noted for the fresh homemade bread and continued, after retirement, to make the bread and fill in at the restaurant as needed. He was predeceased by a sister Edith Horne, and five brothers Ernest Red Horne, Leslie G. Horne, Sr., Fred Horne, Maurice Pete Horne and William H. As a child, she loved working with her grandfather on his potato farm. Sandy graduated from Villanova University in 1965 with a degree in nursing. She moved to California and joined the U. S. Navy as a Lieutenant. She was stationed in Oakland, CA during the Vietnam War, where she met and married James Lange. She later moved to New Mexico where she worked as a Nurse Practitioner for the Navajo Health Service. Sandy and James had two children, Rana and Jake. They moved to Vermont where she taught at Oxbow Vocational Center for the health occupation program and 8th grade history. Sandy also worked as a charge nurse at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH for many years. After retirement she moved to Portsmouth, NH to be near the Seacoast that she loved so much, and to pursue her passion for photography. Sandy was a member of the New Hampshire Art Association, where she was well known for her photographs. She also enjoyed volunteering on Appledore Island at the Isles of Shoals in Portsmouth. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, cooking, and all the little things in life. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Katherine Sauer and her husband, James S. Lange. Survivors include her daughter, Rana Lange of Bradford, VT; her son, Jake Lange of Portsmouth, NH; and her sisters, Catherine Sauer of South Carolina and Susie Leckie of California. He served as a Technical Sergeant with U. S. Army Air Corps 348th AAF Base Unit during World War II from August 26, 1941 to October 27, 1945. Andy owned and operated Rockhaven Dairy Farm in Groton, VT. He also worked as a grain salesman with Forall Grain in Groton and E. W. Bailey Company in South Ryegate and Barnet, VT. Andy served the town of Groton as a selectman for 6 years. He was a member of the Groton United Methodist Church and a member of the ASCP Committee in Caledonia County. Above all, Andy was passionate about local history and took pride in caring for his animals. He was a proud Vermonter and World War II Veteran! From December 16, 1942 to December 31, 1945, he served in the US Army in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was honorably discharged, having achieved the rank of Sergeant T-4. For 25 years, Dwight was the Postmaster in Passumpsic, VT. He and his wife, Constance (Averell), to whom he was married on May 31, 1952, enjoyed traveling across the United States and abroad. They wintered in Arizona and summered in Peacham. He was a longtime member of the Peacham Congregational Church. Dwight was predeceased by his wife, Connie, on August 14, 2002; and two siblings, Howard J. Cooley and wife Dorothy and Ruth E. Dean and husband Warren. He is survived by his sister, Iris K. She raised her large family and helped her husband with the daily farm chores around their dairy farm. She later helped her daughter, Lisa, with a daycare business in Bradford, VT. Doris enjoyed Bingo, word search puzzles, yard sales, shopping, playing cards and going to her grandchildren’s ball games. Her biggest enjoyment was being with her children and doting over her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence S. She was born February 3, 1925 in St. Johnsbury, VT, the daughter of Aime and Cordelia Boucher. She was a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, Class of 1944. She married Arthur Zampieri in Bradford, VT on June 26, 1948, and he predeceased her on October 10, 1979. In 1982 she married Richard Boyle of Inverness, Florida. Medora loved to sing and sang throughout Northern New England in the 40 s and 50 s alongside Charles Hoar and area dance bands. Medora also worked for years at Hovey s clothing store in both St. Johnsbury and Woodsville. In later years she ran the surplus food program for Grafton County. Medora loved antiques, sewing, and getting together weekly with her lady friends in Woodsville. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her son Darryl and wife Deborah of Grantham, NH, her sister Anita Coleman and brother Paul Boucher both of Englewood, FL. She is predeceased by her sister Lorraine and infant son Peter. David worked for Nesbitt Soda Company in Barre, VT and for the Town of Bath as a member of the road crew. He also worked as a Corrections Officer and Supervisor at the Grafton County Jail until his retirement. Together with Phyllis, he spent several years traveling through New England with their camper. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising his four sons. Over the years, David volunteered many hours with the Woodsville Ambulance. David was predeceased by a son, Tracy D. Lang on August 19, 1977, a grandson Tracy K. Lang on May 6, 2009, and by a foster daughter, Beatrice Crown in 2007. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Phyllis M. Lang of Bath; three sons, Carlton D. Lang of Woodsville, NH, Bryan K. Lang and wife Cindy of Bath, and Kevin J. Lang and wife Christina of Bow, NH; five grandchildren, Robin Avery and husband Jeff, Sara J. Lang, James K. Lang and wife Carrie, Adam R. Lang, and Michael K. Lang and wife Kristen, and two great grandsons, Ezra and Luke Avery. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the North Monroe Cemetery. She was born in Norwalk, CT, March 1, 1925, the daughter of Wallace H. and Phoebe (Husted) Bell. Marion married David Hopp on September 14, 1946. She worked as the cafeteria manager for Central Catholic High School in Norwalk for many years. Marion retired in 1984 and moved from Norwalk to Easton. She enjoyed handwork, crocheting, knitting, reading, card playing, and cooking. Her family was the center of her life. Marion entered Grafton County Nursing Home in August 2006. She was predeceased by her husband, David Hopp on August 1986. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Hopp of Easton, NH; two sons, David Hopp and wife Isabella of East Norwalk, CT and Richard Hopp and wife Carolyn of Bath, NH; 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. ....show , 71, of Church Street, died on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her home after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Barnet, VT, March 9, 1940, the daughter of William and Teresa (Hastie) Crowe. Following her mother s death William married Elizabeth Stanton. Sandra graduated from McIndoe Falls Academy. She married James L. Craig on January 17, 1959, and he predeceased her on September 17, 1979. Sandra married Charlie Goss on November 10, 1983. While her children and grandchildren attended Peacham Elementary School, she served as their hot lunch cook for more than 18 years. She was known to be a caregiver in the area. She was a longtime member of the Peacham Congregational Church and Peacham Fellowship. She was an active member in Just-A-Club. Her door was always open for community coffee hour as well as daily scrabble club. Sandy was a great cook who was always ready to provide baked goods for local events and was known for her never empty donut and cookie jars. Her family was very important to her and she attended each and every one of her children s and grandchildren s school functions, whether it be a concert or a sporting event. She was predeceased by her parents and a great grandson. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Charlie Goss of Peacham, VT; four children, Sharon Hunter and husband Mark of Lyndonville, VT, Ronald E. Craig and wife Lori of Peacham, VT, Barb Coutu and husband Greg of Danville, VT, and Brian J. Craig of East Ryegate, VT; Charlie s three children, Rebecca Goss of West Burke, VT, Charles Goss and wife Connie of East Peacham, VT, and Michael Goss of Bradford, VT; twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Crowe and wife Priscilla of Peterborough, NH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. ....show , 33, formerly of School Street, died in Newmarket, NH on June 29, 2011. Jim was born in Haverhill, NH, on December 13, 1977 to Robert E. and Sheila (Stebbins) Keenan. Jim served our country in the NH National Guard serving with the 2-197th and then was transferred to the 3643rd. Jim had been deployed to Iraq twice. He had worked for Tom Sullivan Carpentry and Rood Roofing in St. Johnsbury, VT. Currently, he was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, NH. Jim is survived by his son, Robert J. Keenan of St. Johnsbury; his mother, Sheila Keenan of East Ryegate; his father Robert Keenan of East Ryegate; his sister, Desiree C. Smith and husband Edward of East Ryegate; his maternal grandmother, Thelma Stebbins of Littleton, NH; and two nieces, one nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A graveside service will be held on July 11, at 11 AM in the Ross-Wood American Legion Post # 20 lot in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Swiftwater Road, Woodsville, NH.
