JEFFERSON, NH - Henry “Chip” Wares Bryce Jr.
....show , 59, died Thursday afternoon, April 29, 2010, at his home with his family by his side.
Mr. Bryce was born on September 30, 1950, in Wheeling, W. Virginia, a son of Henry Wares Bryce and Eileen (McManamon) Bryce.
Henry graduated from De Veaux High School in Niagara Falls, NY he went on to attend Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL where he earned a Bachelors degree. He moved to Chatham, MA he was employed by Weston and Sampson in Peabody, MA where he was the Chief water operator. In December 2009, he and his family moved to Jefferson.
Chip enjoyed the ocean, taking in unwanted animals and playing his acoustic guitar. He loved his family and especially his son Marco for whom he was very proud of.
He was also a proud 30-year member of AA and PAUSE in Orleans, MA and was always the first to welcome people.
Family members include, his mother Eileen Bryce of Fort Myers, FL, his wife Martje Bryce of Jefferson, NH, his son Marco Thomas Bryce of Jefferson, NH, a brother James Bryce of Chatham, MA, 3 sisters Rosemary Schintzius of Buffalo, Virginia Bryce of Skaneateles, and Janet Miller of Buffalo. His father Henry Wares Bryce Sr. and a brother Thomas Bryce predeceased him.
At Henry’s request there are no visiting hours. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

WHITEFIELD – Dr. Roy A. Swenson
....show , 84, died Monday morning, April 26, 2010, at his home.
Dr. Swenson was born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 15, 1926, the son of Carl Ellis and Elsa (Sjőgren) Swenson.
He was raised in Bergenfield, NJ, and graduated high school there in 1943. He was also a 1946 graduate of Dartmouth College and a 1950 graduate of NYU Dental. From 1953-2000 he operated his own dental practice in Bergenfield, NJ. After retirement he moved to Whitefield.
During his retirement years in Whitefield he served on the Board of Directors at Morrison Nursing Home and was a member of the American Legion. During the Korean Conflict he served in the US Navy.
Caring for other people brought him the greatest enjoyment in life.
Family members include his wife Susemarie (Schwarzmann) Swenson of Whitefield; four daughters, Karen Brendel of Traverse City, MI, Dale Rajala and husband Paul of Traverse City, MI, Kim Swenson of Houston, TX, Katrin S. Swenson of Whitefield; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; a brother Ralph Swenson and wife Mary of Accord, NY; a sister Maya Dawson of Los Angeles, CA; 1 nephew and 2 nieces.

WHITEFIELD - Sally R. Huntoon
....show , 78, died Sunday morning April 25, 2010, at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield, with her family at her side.
Mrs. Huntoon was born in Lancaster on July 8, 1931, the daughter of Earle and Gladys (Silver) Rosebrook.
Sally was raised in Lancaster and graduated from Lancaster Academy in 1949. She married Nathan Huntoon in 1953 and they have resided in Whitefield ever since. She loved children and for a time she worked at the Children’s Community Center in Whitefield retiring in 1991.
She was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Whitefield, where she was also taught IAH Bible Class.
Family members include her husband Nathan of Whitefield, her daughter Judy Russell and her husband Sandy of Whitefield, her son Donald Huntoon and his girlfriend Georgia of Morgan, VT. Three grandchildren Tanisha Perry, Andrea Huntoon and Mark Huntoon and a brother Edward Rosebrook of Lancaster, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday evening May 5, at 7PM, at the Advent Christian Church in Whitefield.

LUNENBURG – Catherine P. McLaughlin
....show , 99, of S. Lunenburg Road, died Sunday morning April 18, 2010, at her home.
Mrs. McLaughlin was born in Lunenburg on July 2, 1910, the daughter of John T. and Sarah (Hagan) Powell.
She was raised in Lunenburg and was a 1928 graduate of Lancaster Academy. For 25 years she and her late husband, Norman H. McLaughlin Sr., resided in Lancaster during which time they built and operated the Lancaster Motel and its restaurant.
Catherine enjoyed craftwork, particularly knitting, embroidery and hooking rugs. During her lifetime she hooked over 90 rugs and during her later years, with very poor eyesight, she made many scarves for the Toys for Tots program. She also enjoyed poetry, memorizing and reciting many of her favorites.
She was a Communicant of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Lunenburg, and was a 50+ year member of the Lunenburg Grange.
Family members include five children, Gloria McLaughlin of Lunenburg, Norman H. “Tom” McLaughlin Jr. of Lancaster, Mary Jane Colby and husband Amos of Lunenburg, Sally Beattie and husband Mike of Guildhall, Monica Eastman and husband Dana of Lunenburg; 14 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; and a sister Rita Bell of Lunenburg. Norman Sr. predeceased her in 1980.
At Catherine’s request there are no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, April 21, at 10:00 AM, at All Saints Church in Lancaster. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster.

GILMAN – Joyce M. Farrow
....show , 67, of Commercial Ave., passed away at the Pine Knolls Nursing Home in Lyndonville, VT, on April 15, 2010.
She was born in Milford, NH, on January 19, 1943, the daughter of James Louis and Mary S. (Entsminger) Smith.
Joyce resided in Nashua during her youth and later moved to the North Country and has been a resident of Gilman since 1966. She will be remembered as a caring mother, sister aunt and friend. Many will miss her sitting on her front porch visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her companion of 41 years Elwin Dresser of Gilman; two sons, Timothy Farrow and wife Wendy of Stratford, Arthur Farrow and wife Melissa of Whitefield; six granddaughters, Holly, Jade, Brittany, Mickala, Reagan, and Maddison; five sisters, Betty Bilodeau and husband Ronald of East Concord, Edna Frost, Shirley MacArthur, twin sister Joan Martel, and Bertha and Frank Leduc all of Nashua; and two brothers, Charles Smith and James Smith of Nashua. She was predeceased by a son Henry Farrow in February 2008; two brothers Raymond Smith and Richard smith; and one sister Alice Smith.
At Joyce’s request there is no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 4, at 11:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Littleton.
WHITEFIELD - Eva May Nason
....show , 87, formerly of Jefferson, died Wednesday evening April 14, 2010 at the Morrison Nursing Home.
Mrs. Nason was born in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia on January 13, 1923, the daughter of Lee and Myrtle (Otterson) Dickie.
Eva graduated high school in Wellesley, MA and went on the attend Bryant-Straton Business College in Boston. She and her husband formerly owned and operated the Waterwheel Sugar House in Jefferson. She also was employed for a time at Lancaster National Bank.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, painting and especially spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. John’s Methodist Church in Jefferson and the Starr King Grange.
Family members include her husband Harold Nason of Whitefield, two sons Blake Nason and Velma of Ceres, VA and Dana Nason and his wife Sally of Lunenburg, VT, 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson, and her sister Carole Dusick of Sellings Grove, PA. Her brother Robert Dickie predeceased her.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Thursday morning April 22, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Christ United Methodist Church in Lancaster. Reverend Ron Bruce, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

GROVETON - Darlene Sylvia White (Blaisdell)
....show , 56, died Tuesday April 13 2010 at the Genesis Laconia Center, due to a short illness.
Mrs. White was born to the late Harry and Sylvia Blaisdell, September 3 1953, in Portland, ME.
She married the late Terrance White on September 23, 1978 they were married for 29 years until Terrance’s passing in 2007. Their life was shared for a love of NASCAR and traveling to the races. She was a huge fan of Mark Martin. Enjoying when the family would join together to celebrate holidays and most of all each other. She was a loving wife, loving mother and a loving grandmother who enjoyed her grandchildren and her family.
Darlene worked at Fairchild for many years in South Portland, ME and lived in Scarborough, ME for many years until her move to Groveton, NH where she spent the last 14 years being a housewife and taking care of family.
She loved to cook and loved growing her own gardens and spices to use in her cooking. She had a love of old recipes’ that have been handed down over the years and enjoyed sharing those recipes’. She also had a sweet tooth. For Blueberry pie was her favorite. She also grew rhubarb to make rhubarb pie.
Darlene had been big into genealogy and over the past many years and started to compile family trees for everyone in her life. Her true dedication to this was amazing for she spent many years and hours on these projects. She was an artist with oil paints and drawings. She recently graduated from a Graphic Art School. She was always on the computer contacting family, playing games and researching family trees and doing graphic arts.
Darlene had a very eccentric life, which introduced her to many people and many places all with different stories to tell.
Her parents, Harry and Sylvia Blaisdell, predeceased her; husband, Terrance; young daughter, Paula Alley and her mother and father in law Roland and Virginia White.

Groveton – Bevin Cunningham
....show , 70, of Lost Nation Road, died on April 8, 2010, in Indianapolis, Indiana with family at his side.
Bevin was born in Lemington, VT on May 3, 1939, the son of Willie and Florence Cunningham. He was raised in Lemington and attended schools in Colebrook. He served honorably with the U.S. Army in Korea.
Bevin had a lifelong passion for construction equipment and truck driving. He was a well-known truck driver in the Groveton area for many years. His greatest joys were being at camp in Lemington with family and friends. He enjoyed four wheeling, hunting, fishing and especially teaching his grand kids to be outdoorsmen. If Bevin was not home or working, all of his friends knew to drive to Sims Hill in Lemington, where he would be found on a four wheeler loaded with fishing poles and grand children, or getting the camp warmed up for the weekend hunting crew. The dirt roads and trails of Northern Vermont and New Hampshire will be lonelier from now on.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Jane Cunningham, children, Shawn Cunningham, Julie Graham and husband Wayne, Holly Ramsay and Larry Coulter, grandchildren, Alicia, Ethan, Keith, Adam, Kyle, Ryan, Hunter and Katlyn, great grand children, Damean, Brooklyn and Heath, brother, Fred Cunningham and wife Dencie, brother, Kenny MacLeod, sister, Barbara Goodwin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bevin is predeceased by his parents, Willie and Florence Cunningham, brother, Ronald Cunningham, sister, Kay Kirk and son in law, Harold “Butch” Ramsay.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday morning, April 17th at 11:00AM, at St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton. Father Daniel Deveau, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Northumberland Cemetery. Following services there will be a luncheon at the St. Francis Hall.

....show , 84, of Elm Street, died Saturday morning, April 3, 2010, at Weeks Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. White was born in Lancaster on May 20, 1925, the daughter of Shirley and Elizabeth (Monahan) Gardner.
She was a lifetime resident of Lancaster and a graduate and valedictorian of Lancaster Academy. For a time she worked in medical records at Weeks Memorial Hospital and for many years was an executive secretary at the Stinehour Press in Lunenburg. More recently she was employed as a secretary at St. Paul’s Church in Lancaster.
Eleanor was a communicant and former organist of All Saints Church in Lancaster. She enjoyed square dancing and was a Hospice volunteer.
She was the loving mother and grandmother of five children, Richard White and wife Sandra of Rochester, NY, Gary White and wife Ann Marie of Berlin, Sarah Bates of Bristol, NH, Rosemary White of Dalton, Arthur White of Bristol, NH; five grandchildren, Allan, Andrew, Nicole, Graham, Shannon; and three great-grandchildren, Parker, Jenna, and Kevin. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Veronica Gardner of Lancaster, and two nephews, William White and Stephen Gardner. She was predeceased by her husband Paul A. White; two brothers, Glenn Gardner, Henry Gardner and a sister, Hazel Gardner.

GROVETON – Alice M. Robinson
....show , 84, of State Street, died Friday April 2, 2010, at the Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center in Lancaster.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Northumberland on May 3, 1925, the daughter of Edward and Irma (Dupuis) Gardiner.
Alice was a devoted homemaker most of her life and also worked for a time at Converse Shoe in Berlin and the former Giant Store in Northumberland.
She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton and was an active member of her church. She was a Daughter of Isabella and volunteered much of her time to the operation of church bingo and penny sales.
She was also an active volunteer in the community devoting time to the Thrift Shop in Groveton and working auctions. At one time she was the recipient of the Grange Citizen of the Year award. She enjoyed playing bingo, crafts, yard sales, traveling, float decorating, and loved flowers and cooking. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Groveton American Legion Post #17.
Family members her children, Frederica Jewett of Groveton, Edward Robinson of Lancaster, Shirley Beliveau of Groveton, Edmund Robinson of Groveton, Brenda Stinson of Stratford, Dana Robinson of Lancaster, Paul Robinson of Fire island, NY, Michael Robinson of Groveton, Tina Collier of Groveton and Mark Robinson of Groveton; 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her loving cat Tara. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick G. “Joe” Robinson (2009) and her sister Irene Charron.

LUNENBURG, VT - Herman Georg Venheim
....show , 86, went on to be with his Lord and Savior on March 29, 2010.
Herman was born October 6, 1923 in Porsgrunn, Norway to Nils A. and Ragna E. Venheim.
He joined the Royal Norwegian Navy at 17 and sailed the North Atlantic for 5 years and 6 months during WWII. After the war he married Ruth Marie Olsen. The two had seven children and he became a successful entrepreneur in Connecticut. He retired to Lunenburg, VT in 1974. On his beloved farm, “Ven-View”, he enjoyed making maple syrup, cutting and milling timber in his sawmill. His greatest passion was breeding of imported Norwegian Fjord Horses. We will miss his big heart, loving embrace and comforting smile.
Family members include his wife, friend and helper of 42 years Helen (Merva) Venheim, his children, Annette Kari Eddy of Ogden, UT, Herman Georg Venheim Jr. of Tacoma, WA, Randi May Steeves of Milford, CT, John Kristian Venheim of Tigard, OR, Nils Erik Venheim of Colorado Springs, CO, his step-daughter Linda Colleen Simon of Cape Coral, FL, 25 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

LANCASTER – Ronaldo Joseph Pelchat
....show , 88, died Sunday evening, March 28, 2010, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon.
Mr. Pelchat was born in Chartierville, Quebec, on May 29, 1921, the son of George Joseph and Marie Aline (Bouclaire) Pelchat.
Ron, also known as “Kid” to family members, moved to the Lakes Region where he was raised. Most of his early years were in Laconia before moving and settling in Ashland. He received his American citizenship in 1942.
At the time of his death he was living with his oldest son in Lancaster where he was a dedicated volunteer at Weeks Memorial Hospital and the Methodist Church Food Pantry.
He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn whom he was married to for almost 60 years and had two children who died in infancy, a girl Victoria and a boy Lucien.
Surviving family members include two sons, Brian Pelchat and his wife Rae Marie of Ashland, Ron Pelchat and his wife Anita of Lancaster; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening March 31, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 AM at All Saints Church, Lancaster. Rev. Raymond Ball, pastor, will officiate. Sharon Elaine Covill
....show died on March 27th, 2010 after an intense and valiant battle with cancer. Sharon was born in West Stewartstown on September 14, 1956 and lived most of her entire life in the North Country. She is survived by her husband, sweetheart and confidant of 26 years, Michael, who described Sharon as “not an A type personality but a AAA type.” The couple is noted for their witty staged photographs for their Christmas cards, a tradition that is cherished by friends and family.
Sharon is also survived by her mother and best friend Audrey Bassett of Clarksville, NH whom Sharon called “more fun than any mother could be and as much a girlfriend as a mom.” Surviving siblings include Jon Bassett of Wells, ME, Marc and Erin Bassett and their very special daughter Natalie of Boulder CO, Dana Bassett and Michele Bassett and their wonderful sons Tyler and Chase of Woodstock, GA, Cynthia and Lee McClain of Enfield, NH, Michael and Terry Bunnell of Lebanon NH, and Maureen Bunnell of Lebanon, NH. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Bassett.
She graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a degree in nursing and spent her entire professional career caring for the ill and the infirmed and their families and directing programs in Northern New Hampshire and Vermont, particularly home health agencies. She was instrumental in the evolution of hospice care in Vermont for spearheading the Medicare Pilot Project for Hospice. In 1994 she co-founded the hospice program at North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency. Most recently she served as Director of Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital Home Health from 2000 to 2007. In May of 2009 she received her Master’s Degree in Nursing Science from the University of New Hampshire where she was chosen by her class to present the commencement address. She received a 4.0 grade point average, another testament to the hard work that was the hallmark of her entire life. She has also been published in scholarly journals for her research in “Nursing Knowledge of Depression in Palliative Care.”
Sharon enjoyed and played classical music especially Chopin and she had a particular fondness for the Wizard of Oz. If ever anyone lived her life like “there is no place like home,” it was Sharon. She was the personification of compassion, caring and hard work. Even in her final days her concerns lie with her husband and her mother, she worries more about their well-being than her failing health. After all, her life was dedicated to caring for and loving others. This was Sharon Elaine Covill.
A service for the celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at the Whitefield Baptist Church on April 10th, 2010 at 11 o’clock. Committal will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Sharon E. Covill Alternative Therapies Fund for Hospice/Palliative Care, c/o North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency, 536 Cottage St., Littleton, NH 03561. A reception for family and friends will be at the Spalding Inn in Whitefield following the funeral.
LANCASTER - Martina C. Wentworth

Mrs. Wentworth was born in Louisville, Mississippi on March 26, 1917, a daughter of Leonard and Augusta (Cunningham) Catledge.
Martina was raised in Louisville and graduated from the University of Mississippi where she earned an associates degree in teaching. For many years she resided in Rutland, MA and taught at the Rutland Elementary School for 32 years. She moved to Littleton, NH, where she lived for 6 years and has been a resident of Country Village since 2001.
Family members include her daughter, Cynthia Wentworth of Piermont, NH, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Her husband John W. Wentworth predeceased her.

LANCASTER – Philip Clayton Reynolds, Sr.
....show , 84, formerly of Williams Street, died Friday evening February 19, 2010, at Country Village Health Care Center, Lancaster.
Mr. Reynolds was born in West Buxton, Maine, on February 7, 1926, the son of Gurney W. and Catherine (Murphy) Reynolds.
Philip has been a lifetime resident of Lancaster and the North Country. During his lifetime he worked as a woodsman and in farming. He enjoyed horses and horse pulling, attending fairs, hunting and fishing, and spending time at the Forbes Farm in Lancaster.
Family members include three sons, Philip C. Reynolds and wife Elizabeth of Sanbornton, NH, James Reynolds and wife Flora of Alexandria, Timothy Reynolds and wife Susan of Lancaster; three daughters, Brenda Bishop and husband Bill of Lancaster, Pamela Willey and husband Reg of Whitefield, Rebecca Evans and husband Gary of Boscawen; a brother John Reynolds, of Ashboro, NC; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Crossett was born in Barnstead, NH on June 11, 1940, a son of William W. and Arlene (Boyde) Crossett Sr.
William worked in construction all of his life. He was the superintendent of many projects, including Settlers Green in North Conway, Hooksett Toll Booth, Laconia Savings Bank in Gorham, strip malls, schools and Rite aids.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and helping out his family, friends and neighbors. He especially enjoyed his trips to the casinos.
He served in the US Army and was a member of the VFW.
Family members include his wife Carol (Riley) Crossett of Lancaster, his children, Tracy Palmer and her husband Steve of Keene, Scott Therrien and his wife Cindy of Pittsburg, Terrina Soares and her husband (Kenneth) of N. Conway and Barbara Hadeacek and her husband of Lakeville, MN, a brother Thomas Crossett and his wife Maureen of Bellows Falls, VT, a sister Kathy Harriman of Gilford, NH and 5 grandchildren.

LITTLETON – The North Country lost a wonderful craftsman suddenly while he was working on Wednesday, February 17th.

....show showed his love in his work, as a father, husband, brother, and friend to many. His joy and interest included reading, music, gardening, mowing, walking with Jack and Daisy, and sitting on the front porch after a long days work.
Those left behind to cherish the memory and love of Chuck include his wife Penny, daughter Kattie, sisters Lorna and Karleen, nephews and nieces. Chuck now joins his daughter Elizabeth, who also left us suddenly three years ago.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time. A celebration of his life will be planned for late spring or early summer. An announcement will be made at that time.

....show , 82, former longtime Guildhall resident, died Wednesday, February 16, 2010, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Mr. Ramsdell was born and raised in Guildhall on January 5, 1928, the son of Clarence E. and Noila E. (Thibodeau) Ramsdell.
During the Korean War he served with the US Army. Returning home he went to work in the paper mill industry first employed at the Northumberland Mill and later Gilman Paper Company.
Ted enjoyed stock car racing, working in his garden, repairing bikes, and going out for rides. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
He was a member of the American Legion in Littleton.
Family members include seven children, Carol Collins of Lancaster, George Stone of Whitefield, Walter Stone of Littleton, Ellen Robinson of Littleton, Judy Dyer of Sharon, VT, Theodore Stone of Woodsville, Robert Ramsdell of Whitefield; a brother, Robert Ramsdell of Guildhall; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his family of friends and caregivers at Country Village. His wife Mary Ann F. (Portigue) Ramsdell and two sisters, Dorothy Hayes and Edith Ramsdell predeceased him.

DALTON - Everett W. “Scottie” Ainsworth
....show , 77, of Old Whitefield Road, died Thursday morning, February 11, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Ainsworth was born in Gorham, NH, on June 7, 1932, the son of Leonard A. and Evelyn (Bishop) Ainsworth.
Scottie was raised in Berlin and a graduate of Berlin High School. From 1949 to 1952 he served with the National Guard and from 1952 to 1956 the U.S. Navy. He returned to Gorham for a time and was employed at Keir Plumbing and Heating. In 1960 he moved to South Berwick, Maine, and worked for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 31 ½ years. He has resided in Dalton for the last 20 years.
He was a member of the Gorham Sabatis Masonic Lodge #73, F&AM.
Family members include his wife Janet D. (Proof) Ainsworth of Dalton; a son Wayne S. Ainsworth of Dalton; a daughter Shari L. Souliere of Barrington, NH; a brother Robert Ainsworth of Arroyo Grand, CA; three grandchildren, Daniel Ainsworth, Thomas Gervasi, Amanda Gervasi and a great-granddaughter Alyson Ainsworth. He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard A. Ainsworth and a sister, Priscilla Tanguay.

....show , 85, died Thursday evening February 11, 2010, at the Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH.
Mr. Hartford was born in Lancaster, NH on May 11, 1924, the son of Charlie and Alice (Cass) Hartford.
Henry was raised in Lancaster and attended schools there. He went on to attend Berlin Trade School, becoming a machinist and for a time he worked in New Britain, CT. During WWII he was drafted into the US Army, 2nd
Division, fighting in 7 battles in the European Theater and the Battle of the Bulge until he was wounded. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. After he completed his rehabilitation he returned to Lancaster where he operated his own trucking company and worked for approximately 10 years for the Gilman Paper Company. He then went on to work for New England Telephone Co. retiring after 30 years. For many years he was also a special police officer for the Town of Littleton. He was well known for his many public and private appearances as Santa Claus in the Littleton area.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Family members include a son Randy W. Hartford of, a daughter Bonnie A. Hartford, a granddaughter April M. Billetdeaux and her husband Vincent of all of Monroe, two great grandchildren Zachery Michael Wright Sweeney and Dasia Arula Billetdeaux. His wife Marion L. (Heath) Hartford, his 2nd

Mrs. Mooney was born in West Stewartstown on April 2, 1920, a daughter of Archie and Rosa (Dube) Couturier.
Bella lived in Dalton for many years until moving to Lancaster with her family. She enjoyed the outdoors, family and nature.
For many years she was a member of the Eastern Stars.
Family members include two sons Russell Mooney of Lancaster and Edward Mooney, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and four siblings, Archie Couturier of Whitefield, Eddy Couturier of Waterbury, VT, Archilline Herbert of Littleton and Albina Ingerson of Whitefield. Mr. Santerre was born in Gardner, MA on May 18, 1926, the son of Avelin J. and Mary (McDonough) Santerre.
Norman was a graduate of Gardner High School. During WWII he served in the US Navy, on the aircraft carrier, Shangri-La under Admiral McCain. He was a steamfitter foreman for General Electric Company, Fitchburg, MA, retiring after 30 years. He was also a member and past president of Union IUE/CIO Local 286 General Electric, Fitchburg, MA,
From 1946 to 1949 he played semi-pro football for Hillside Gymnastics in Gardner, MA and in the 1960’s he was the president of Fitchburg, MA Babe Ruth League.
Memberships include the VFW and the Eagles and he was a lifetime member of the American Legion.
He enjoyed sports, especially the Red Sox, Patriots, Boston Celtics and college football. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with him family, to whom he was very devoted.

Mrs. Roberts was born in Lockport, New York on December 31, 1944, a daughter of Earl and Rosemary (Montepare) Kiser.
Rosemary resided in Lockport for several years until moving to New Hampshire in 1998. She worked for many years as a certified nursing assistant and as a purchasing agent at Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield for approximately 10 years. She went on to attend NHCTC in Berlin, NH graduating in May 2009. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting and she enjoyed taking care of her pets.
She was the past president of the AFSCME Union in Lockport.
Family members include her daughter Rosemary Critelli and her significant other Craig Thibeault of Littleton, NH, her sister Charlotte Iles of Wheatfield, NY, two nieces Kelli Hernandez and Nanci Iles, two nephews Thomas Iles and Scott Iles, one great niece Cierra and four great nephews, Thomas, Jacob, Warren and Marshall.

Mrs. Saulnier was born in Boston, MA on August 1, 1919, the daughter of Benjamin and Hazel (Hart) Hapgood.
Dorothy was a resident of Whitefield since 1941. She was a graduate of Saint Louis Hospital School of Nursing and became a registered nurse.
She was a past member of the Catholic Daughters of America and had once served as treasurer and trustee. She also taught religious education classes.
She was a communicant of St. Matthews Catholic Church.
Family members include her daughter Joan Phillips, a granddaughter Kimberley** Durst, a great granddaughter and a great grandson all of Londonderry. Her husband Raymond Saulnier predeceased her on Sept. 2, 1994.

Ellen was a lifetime resident of Lunenburg. She had a true passion for all animals and was known for taking in and rescuing all that she could. She truly loved her family and valued the time she spent time with them.

Mrs. Emerson was born in Fitchburg, MA, on August 3, 1939, the daughter of Ernest P. and Helen (Daley) McGinty.
Jean was raised in Holyoke, MA, and a graduate of Holyoke High School. She was also a graduate of Bay Path College acquiring a bachelor’s degree in accounting. During her working years she was employed at various companies as an office administrator or manager.
In her retirement years she enjoyed doing volunteer work for numerous organizations such as the VFW, Lancaster, the Food Bank, the Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster. She was also helpful and caring to individual people in need. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family, baking and cooking, tending her award winning garden, and caring for her dog Scooter and her many cats.
Family members include her husband Daniel E. Emerson of Dalton; a son Robert H. Fountain and his wife Cathleen of Dalton; a daughter, Susan D. Williams and her husband David of Dalton; eleven grandchildren, Tina Heard, Jeana Morse, Kathleen Fountain, David L. Williams Jr., Matthew H. Williams, Emmalee A. Williams, Kristin T. Anne was a lifetime resident of the Groveton / Stark area and was a graduate of Groveton High School. She attended Hesser College where she earned her associates degree in accounting. She and her husband David have owned and operated Goulet Communications since 1991.
She enjoyed crafts and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
