, 14, of Bow, N.H., died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Born in Manchester, N.H., he was the son of Bryan and Holly (Rozen) Fenn. He was a student in the eighth grade at Bow Memorial School. Dalton enjoyed athletics, playing football, wrestling and track. He had a Brown Belt in Karate. He loved outside activities, especially fishing with his uncles. He also enjoyed being with his family. He was blessed with many friends. Survivors include his parents, Bryan and Holly (Rozen) Fenn and his brothers Joshua and Jeremy, whom he loved very much, all of Bow; grandmother Ann Fenn of Lyndonville, Vt., grandmother Sandra Rozen of Derry, N.H.; his great-grandparents Joseph and Evelyn Marston of Barefoot Bay, Fla.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather Fred Fenn. Although Dalton was with us for a short time, he blessed many. His incredible spirit and beautiful smile will remain in our hearts forever. We love you #6. A celebration of his life will be held at Grace Capital Church, 542 Pembroke St. in Pembroke, on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dalton J. , 75, of 66 Evans St., Gorham, N.H., passed away on Friday evening Jan. 30, 2009, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She was born in Island Pond, Vt., on July 19, 1933, the daughter of Albert and Yvonne (Goupee) Savard and has lived in Gorham, N.H., since 1957. She was a member of the Holy Family Church, the Dupont-Holmes Post #82 American Legion Auxiliary and was active with the Cub Scouts. Pearl was a graduate of Brighton High School in Island Pond, Vt., and was a Rawleigh Products Distributor. Members of the family include four sons; Charles Chapman of Gorham, N.H., Chester Chapman of Woburn, Mass., Michael Chapman of Berwin, Ill., and Kevin Chapman of Berlin, N.H.; a daughter, Sheila Welch of Gorham, N.H.; a sister, Rita Bouffard of Newport, Vt.; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph L. Chapman on June 21, 2007, by son Ralph Chapman Jr., a sister, Diana Malley and by brother Raymond Savard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Gorham, N.H. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, N.H., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to the American Cancer Society in her memory.

, 81, formerly of Concord and Miles Pond, passed away at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009. She was born in Concord, Vt., on April 11, 1927, the daughter of Francis and Lillian (Baker) Lillicrap. She married Lawrence Paul Barrett on Sept. 25, 1949; they enjoyed 55 years together before his passing on Oct. 28, 2004. Beverly graduated from Concord High School in 1945 and attended Burdette College in Boston. She had a long career as a telephone operator at New England Tel & Tel and with various hospitals and doctor's offices. Beverly and Paul spent many wonderful summers at their camp on Miles Pond with their family and many friends. She was with Home Dem group in St. Johnsbury and enjoyed cooking, baking, and knitting. Prior to becoming a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, she sang with the Grace United Methodist Church choir and played piano. Most of all, she loved being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son Thomas Barrett and fiancée Lea Crowe of Occoquan, Va. (PO Box 631 22125); her daughter Lynn Barrett Jenne and husband Gregory of West Deptford, N.J. (47 Hessian Ave. 08096); her four grandchildren: Christopher and Laura Barrett, Matthew and Sarah Jenne; her sister Marilyn White of Ann Arbor, Mich.; nieces and nephews, and the Barrett and Lillicrap relatives. Besides her husband Paul, she was predeceased by a grandson Benjamin Jenne, and a sister Madeline Lillicrap. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Johnsbury Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church. The Rev. Jon Schnobrich will be the celebrant. Committal services will conclude the Mass with burial at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. , 48 of Conover, N.C., passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born Nov. 8, 1960, in Caledonia County, St. Johnsbury, Vt., he was the son of Lorraine Wilkins Badger and the late Winston Arnold Badger. Keith was employed at Hickory Springs PTI where he was a hard worker and very dedicated to his job. Keith was appreciated and loved by his co-workers. In addition to his father, Keith was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Geneva and Philip Badger and maternal grandparents, Everett and Geraldine Wilkins. Keith is survived by his mother, Lorraine Wilkins Badger of Conover; two brothers: Larry A. Badger of Burlington, Vt., Shawn E. Badger and wife Amie of Orange Park, Fla.; aunts and uncles: Bob and Jean Dunton, Glenn and Dottie Badger, David and Teresa Wilkins, Patricia Ducker and Sharon and Gary Roy; and many cousins. , 90, formerly of Lily Pond Road, Lyndonville, died unexpectedly Sunday evening Feb. 1, 2009, in Burlington, where she has resided since last June. She was born Nov. 23, 1918, in Lyndonville, the last surviving child of Ralph and Mary (Carr) Chapman. In 1936 she graduated from Lyndon Institute. On Feb. 4, 1939, Abbie married Wendell Masten. He predeceased her in December 2007. Abbie worked for Lyndonville creamery following high school for eight years. She then worked as a bookkeeper for Lyndonville Electric Co. for nearly 30 years. She also was the bookkeeper for her husbands businesses, Masten's Gulf Station in St. Johnsbury and later on Broad Street in Lyndonville, and then Masten's Motor Shop, a small engine repair shop also on Broad Street. Memberships include, Eastern Star Evening Star #28 of West Burke for over 60 years, where she held each chair including Worthy Matron; and TOPS # VT 29, of East Burke for 36 years where she served as treasurer for 21 years. She enjoyed golfing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and spending time at their camp on Shadow Lake in Glover. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Marjorie and James Willard of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Nancy and Wayne Duerinck of Burlington; five grandchildren, Jackie, Missi, Tom, Tarn, and Aaron; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister in-law, Blanche Chapman of Connecticut; nieces, nephews, and several close friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Wendell; three brothers, Leslie, Frederick, and Robert Chapman; and two sisters, Marion Facteau, and Helen Riddervold. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m., at the Guibord Funeral Home with the Rev. Barbara Dwyer officiating. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the start of service beginning at noon. Spring burial will be in Lyndon Center Cemetery. Addie Mae (Carpenter) Darling

, 88, South Ryegate, died Feb. 1, 2009, at Cottage Hospital Woodsville, N.H., after a brief illness. Born in Woodsville on July 29, 1920, she was the daughter of Henry C. and Florence (Blair) Carpenter. She graduated from Woodsville High School, Class of 1938 and continued her education at beauty school in Boston. Addie married her one true love, Newton Hall "Newtie" Darling, of Groton, on June 28, 1947, and they spent over 46 years together before God took him home. Addie loved to do crafts and left many items to be cherished. She also enjoyed yard sales, craft shows, and "running the roads." Gram loved nothing more than her family and friends. Her door was always open to friends for sliding, pizza and sugar-on-snow parties, sleepovers and hayrides for up to 50 children at a time. She was well-loved by many and will be deeply missed. Addie was predeceased by her husband "Newtie" Darling on Dec. 19, 1993; a daughter, Diane Darling on Oct. 3, 1970; her two sons, Gary Darling on Dec. 11, 1991, and David N. Darling, Sr. on Dec. 24, 2007; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Makin on Aug. 23, 1994. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Emerson of South Ryegate, and Bonnie Bound of Wolcott; 23 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Whalen of Woodsville; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch St., Woodsville, NH A memorial service in celebration of her life will be Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at 2 p.m., at the South Ryegate Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. M. Catherine Cook, officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at noon in Groton Village Cemetery.
Clarissa "Crick" Perkins

, 90, formerly of St. Johnsbury and Lyndonville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at The Pines in Lyndon where she had resided for the past six years. She was the widow of Gil Perkins who passed away Oct. 3, 1995. Clarissa was a cook at St. Johnsbury Academy and had worked at WTGrant Co. as a sales clerk. She was born in Concord, on Feb. 16, 1918, one of eight children born to Carl R. Warren Sr. and Violet (Bridges) Warren. She was predeceased by two brothers Burliegh and Carl Jr.; and three sisters Leta Brondson, Leah Gates, and Anne Laliberte. She is survived by a brother Sherm Warren and wife Thea of Stuart Fla.; sister Marjorie Ovitt of Passumpsic; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Passumpsic Cemetery. went home to be with our lord on Jan. 20, 2009. Richard was born to his parents Roland and Aurora Collins on June 28, 1949. They lived in Berlin, N.H. On April 20, 1968, he married his grade school sweetheart, Helene Turmel. They made their home in Penacook, N.H., after settling as Richard would travel for jobs in and around New Hampshire. They spent 49 wonderful years together. Richard is survived by his wife, Helene Turmel; one daughter, Cassandra Collins; one grandson, Devon Collins; and his mother-in-law Alice Turmel, all of Penacook, N.H. Richard is also survived by his last surviving brother, Ralph and his wife Wannetta Collins of Berlin, N.H., and their children, Eric, Jared and Angela; one sister-in-law Therse Thisheen of San Digeo, Calif., and her boyfriend, Tim; two brothers-in-law, Albert Turmel of Manchester, N.H., and his girlfriend Pearl, and Leon Turmel of West Burke, and his wife Tammy; two nephews, Zachariah Tisheen of Concord, N.H., and Hezekiah Mendoza and his girlfriend Christine and their son Elias also from Concord, N.H.; four nieces, Sherry Turmel of Claremont, Calif., Abbey Turmel and companion Dallas Bona of Lyndonville, Kristina St. Hilaire and husband Mark of West Burke, and their two sons, David and Matthew, and Monica Dority and companion Jeff Vigeant and their daughter Saphira of West Burke. One nephew Albert Turmel JR. "Babe" predeceased him on Jan. 14, 1997. Richard loved doing so many different things, but having fun and family times meant everything. He loved his trips to Vermont for Thanksgiving but his main adventure to California with his niece Sherry was a "Stand by me moment" in life as he got to see the Grand Canyon which brought tears to his eyes to see "God's most beautiful piece of work." Richard's last adventure would have been to go sky diving as he wanted to go with Sherry and the Doctors said ok right up to two weeks when he began to become weak. Richard's important role was to spend as much time as he could with his wife as it was a true love story right until the end. He also spent as much time with Cassie and Devon as they played a big role also as they brought sunshine on his rainy days.

, 98, East Ryegate, died Feb. 2, 2009, at the Canterbury Inn, St. Johnsbury, where she has resided since 2001. She was born in Waterford, Sept. 19, 1910, a daughter of Nelson and Ila (Remick) Joslin. Edna was a longtime East Ryegate resident and had previously worked for 30 years as a finisher at the former Ryegate Paper Mill, retiring in 1972. She was a life member of Corinthian Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of Wells River. Edna married Clement R. Blood in May 1928 and he predeceased her in 1974. She was also predeceased by two daughters Winona Underwood in 1980, Ellen Hartshorn in 1998; a son Arnold C. Blood in 1987; a grandson Lendall Hartshorn in 2008; and a brother Bernard A. Joslin in 2006. Survivors include two daughters Elizabeth B. Williams of Durham, N.H., and Janice Slayton Guillemette of Woodsville, N.H.; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; a sister Ora Pike of Stowe, a brother Wayne Heywood of St. Johnsbury; and several nieces nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be on May 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Waterford. John A. Clarke

, age 82, of Littleton, N.H., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2009, at the Morrison Nursing home after a long illness. A native of Littleton, John was born on June 17, 1926, a son to Homer A. and Elsie (Wallis) Clarke. He attended area schools. John was a logger in the North Country for many years prior to becoming a long-distance truck driver. John and his wife of 30 years, Margaret, moved to Nashua in the late 1950s and raised their three children. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company in Nashua for over 30 years before returning to the North Country. John often referred to himself as "OJ" which stood for Old John. He loved to socialize with people, travel, hunt, golf, go on annual fishing trips, and watch old time westerns, especially those starring John Wayne. Surviving family members include one daughter, Lori and her husband, Brian Dombroski, of Pembroke, N.H.; two sons, Scott O. Clarke of Nashua, N.H., and John J. and his wife, Brenda Clarke, of Dunbarton, N.H.; two sisters, Patricia and John Blake of Littleton, N.H., and Dorothy and Leonard Clark of Littleton, N.H.; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Stevens) Clarke; his parents; and one brother. The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 6, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Pillsbury Funeral Home located at 101 Union St. in Littleton. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at noon on Friday, with Rev. Randy DeTrude officiating. Burial will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Eagles Club immediately following the funeral service, at which time the Littleton Elks Lodge #1831 will perform a brief ceremony. , 84, a long time resident of Newport, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab. Center, in St. Johnsbury. Viola was born in Springfield, Mass., Nov. 10, 1924, the daughter of George and Mildred (Farrar) Rowland. After the death of her father, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Henry Blay. She was married to the late Donald Pollard and made her home in Newport. Viola worked as a waitress at the former Newport Hotel and later at the lunch counter in Grant's Store on Main Street in Newport. She was known as being very out-spoken and loved to play Bingo. Viola leaves two daughters, Florence St. Onge, and her fiance Lawrence Robbins, of Newport, and Melissa Havill, stationed with the Aviation Support Detachment in Norfolk, Va., with her fiance Thomas Cruise; two sons, Marvin Pollard and his wife Irene, of Brownington, and Dwight Pollard; two brothers, Duane Rowland of Barton, and George Rowland of New Mexico; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Donald, who died in March 2008; a brother, Windfield Rowland; and two sisters, Marjorie Prue and Eloise Chicoine. Friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home in Craftsbury Common, Friday and Saturday evenings, Feb. 6 and 7, from 6-8 p.m. A spring graveside service will be held at the Derby Center Cemetery in Derby.
