Deskins, Carla M. (nee Carriero)
....show 58, of Holland died peacefully August 22, 2009 at her home. She was born October 8, 1950 in Waterbury, Conn., daughter of Angelo and Louise (Spallone) Carriero. Carla graduated from the University of Connecticut and worked as a bookkeeper/accountant in the area. She loved gardening, country music, especially attending the annual CMA Festival in Nashville, and rescuing pugs. She is predeceased by her father and her brother, John. She is survived by her mother Louise, her children, Damian Deskins (wife Abby) and Ana Deskins both of Holland. She is also survived by two beautiful grandchildren, Kaya Macayla and Iliana Maitland both of Holland, and by a special friend John Joly also of Holland. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 29, 2009 at the Holland Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Gerber officiating. Interment will follow in the Mead Hill Cemetery, Holland. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Carla?s favorite charity, Pug Rescue of New England (PRONE) or to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
Mrs. Katherine A. Carroll, "Kate"
....show of Derby Line passed away March 12, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Kate was born the youngest of nine children to William and Pauline (McPhillips) Fader on June 21, 1959 in Brockton,Massachusetts. On May 5, 1984 she married Robert Carroll who survives her.
She attended Lyndon State College and became a self employed house painter. Kate loved the lakes, ocean, swimming, camping especially with camp fires, gardening, music and she loved her pet dog a faithful companion named ?Belle?.
She is survived by her husband Robert Carroll of Derby Line, three children: Ian Carroll of Hinesburg, Sean Carroll of Burlington, and Emma Carroll of Burlington. She is also survived by two sisters: Paula Moon and her husband Harvey of Norfolk,Va; and Jo-Ellen Thompson of Carolina Beach,North Carolina and other members of the family in Massachusetts.
Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Thursday March 13,2008 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Genevieve Prouty Gage
....show of 354 Memphremagog Views, Newport, VT died peacefully on July 10th, 2006, at her lovely home overlooking Lake Memphremagog, surrounded by friends and family.
She was born on February 9, 1917 in West Derby, VT, the daughter of Ward and Edith (Blair) Prouty. She attended schools in Newport and was a graduate of Bradford Academy and the Garland School. On August 31, 1940, she married Edwin Gage, who predeceased her on March 13, 2000. She was a member of the Goodrich Memorial Library and served for several years as Chairperson. She was a member of the Woman?s Club, the Hospital Auxiliary, and a long-time member of the Eastern Star. She was a dedicated member of the Newport Center Methodist Church.
She had many hobbies, including collecting music boxes, paperweights, and the one thing she like best was getting the birthdates and anniversary dates of her many friends and then sending cards to them on each occasion. She was an accomplished equestrian, had her own horse for many years, and served as Grand Marshall of many parades, including the Barton Fair.
Genevieve is survived by: one cousin, Perrie Lee Prouty Marstaller of Rockville, Maryland; two nieces, Linda LaFlam of Sunrise, Florida, and Kathy Elkins of Durham, NC; and Lovey, her cat. She was predeceased by a half-brother, Charles Tyler Prouty.
While Genevieve and Eddie had no children of their own, they were known in this community for their many friends who they graciously treated as their ?sons and daughters?. Genevieve and Eddie were well known for their wonderful ?happy hours? which they enjoyed with their friends and family, a tradition carried on by Genevieve after Eddie?s death.
Genevieve was known for her grand Christmas parties at the Eastside, where she entertained her family and friends with grace and elegance seldom, if ever, duplicated in this community.
She and Eddie were benefactors of the United Christian Academy, the former Newport City School on School Street, where they first met. The auditorium is now named after Genevieve and Eddie Gage. Genevieve has also been a major benefactor of the Holland Dialysis Center at North Country Hospital, the Goodrich Memorial Library and the Welcome Center.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home on Darling Hill Road (formerly Sias Avenue). The funeral will be held at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford funeral home on Darling Hill Road., Newport, VT on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Paul Essaff, officiating, and Rev. John and Ruth Genco, providing special music. A graveside service, for family and friends, will be held after the funeral service at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport, VT.
The family and close friends of Genevieve take this opportunity to publicly express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to her caregivers, who not only gave her the best care and support imaginable, but gave her back the love which she had for them.

....show of Morgan, VT (formerly of Washington Depot CT) -- the family and friends of Rob Spicuzza, 41, sadly report his sudden passing caused by heart complications on Sunday, July 23, 2006. Among the many who have fond memories of Rob are his beloved companion Pam Parenteau of Morgan, VT, his loving mother Carolyn and and wonderful stepfather John Larson of Lamoine, ME, his father Thomas Spicuzza of Richmond VA, his brother Richard W. Larson of W. Melbourne, FL, step-brother, Jonathan Larson and his wife Tamara of Connecticut, his step-sister, Michele Santos and her husband John of Connecticut, his uncles, David C. Knight and his wife Margo of Maine, and Stephen W. Knight and his wife Cathy of Connecticut, and by several loved cousins. Rob will be remembered for his fun-loving and zestful approach to life always with a twinkle in his eye, his love of nature and reading, and his creativity and style as an artist, and a carpenter/painter/gardener. He also loved all types of music and enjoyed playing his guitar. Fostered by a family trip to Africa as a teenager, throughout his short life Rob had a particularly deep love for animals.

Florence S. Beaudry
....show , 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Derby, Vermont on November 17, 2006.
She was born in Barton, Vermont on February 14, 1931, a daughter of Edward C. Kimball and Dorothea (Dunham) Kimball. She attended Barton Academy.
She married Marcel J. Beaudry, Sr. on July 8, 1948. They lived most of their life together in Irasburg.
She was an avid animal lover and champion of animal rights causes. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, gardening, crocheting and knitting.
Florence is survived by son Marcel Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Derby; daughter Paulette Thompson and her husband Ben of Falls Church, Virginia; daughter Celia Beaudry of Waterbury; daughter Juliette Skinner and her husband Donavon of Owatonna, Minnesota; and son Pierre and his fiancée Alisa of Parkville, Maryland; and by grandchildren, Patrick, Louise, Lucas, Amanda, Monique, Isaac, Allan, Emily, and Emric, and kittie companions Ebony and Mystie. She is also survived by sister Beverly Noyes of Montpelier, brother Earl Roberson and his wife Marvis of Auburndale, Florida, sisters-in-law Helen Kimball of Jacksonville, Florida and Rita Kimball of Jensen Beach, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Marcel, Sr. in 1991, and son Francis in 1996. She was also predeceased by daughter-in-law Tonya Beaudry, brothers Roland Kimball, Edward C. Kimball, Jr. and Everett Roberson, and sisters Althea Berry, Beverly Willey and Katherine McGinnin.
A memorial gathering will be held for friends and family members at Marcel and Jeanne Beaudry?s home on 259 Tower Road, Derby (off Nelson Hill Rd, look for signs) on Tuesday, November 21 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.

....show , 93, of Newport Center died peacefully April 23, 2005 at her home with her family at her side. She was born November 24, 1911 in Manchester,NH a daughter of Walter and Pauline (Arpin) James. On January 3, 1940 she married Eugene Lalime who predeceased her on January 10, 1977. Mrs. Lalime grew up in Manchester, Troy and Westfield. Miriam was a homemaker and then she was a cook for many years at the original East Side Restaurant on East Main Street in Newport. Miriam was a fifty year member of the Daughters of Isabella,Clermont Circle and at one time she was an active scouts wife with Troop # 4. She is survived by her children: Anne Lalime of Newport, Walter Lalime and his wife Carole of Burlington, and Katharyn Girouard and her husband Spencer of Lyman,NH, eight grandchildren: Philip, David, Michael, Mark, Monica, Joanne, and Jennifer Lalime, and Kenneth Girouard, and by two great grandchildren; Aidan and Cullen Lalime. She is also survived by a brother Robert James and his wife Helen of San Diego,California; and by two sisters; Doris Hamel of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, and Jeannine Encinas and her husband Dr. Senen of Spring Hill, Florida. She is survived by two sisters-in-law Marita Lalime of Derby Line and Georgette Lalime of North Troy and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother and three sisters.
