passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, in her home at the McKee Inn in Lancaster, N.H. She was born on Oct. 10, 1920 the daughter of Albert Edwin and Gladys (Garron) Titius on Briar Island in West Port Nova Scotia. She was the wife of the late Paul N. Howell and the late George T. Graber. During her career she served as an assistant to the Registrar at Gordon College, as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service and as a contract administrator for the Unites States Government at the Defense Contract Administration Agency. After marrying George in 1969 she relocated to the Lancaster area and was a medical secretary at the Weeks Medical Center for a number years until retiring to Lunenburg, Vt. She was a member of the Eastern Star, The American Legion Auxiliary and the Professional Business Women's Organization. She belonged to the Lancaster Congregational Church and was active in the senior's programs at Colonel Town Community Center. She loved to travel and enjoyed hooking rugs with friends in the area "The Hookers." She is survived by her children and stepchildren, Nancy Goldman and husband Charles of Haverhill, Mass., Paul Howell and wife Loretta of Peabody, Mass., Edwin Howell and wife Erin of St. Paul Minn., Donald Tibbetts and wife Susan of Blyth, Calif., Tom Graber and wife Laurie of Lancaster, Calif., and Katrina "Tina" Whipple and husband Perley of Bethlehem, N.H. She had 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, two brothers predeceased her: Albert Titus and Victor Titus. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m., at the Lancaster Congregational United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Colonel Town Community Center, High Street, Lancaster, N.H., or to the charity of you choice.

, 62, of Hyde Park, Vt., died peacefully on the 7th of November in New Haven, Conn. Trim was born March 4, 1947, to Dr. Clifford T. Conklin Jr. and Marjorie Ruth Brew Conklin of Thomason, Conn. Trim was the founder and president of Conklin Associates, Inc., a firm known for craftsmanship and construction of fine houses. His core staff has been with the company for over 20 years, most since its inception, including Deanna, Steven M, Russell, Steve G, Eddie, and Brad. Conklin Associates is successful because of these unique relationships. Trim was also committed to service to his community and served terms as a member of the Hyde Park Elementary School Board, town lister, and as a member of the Hyde Park Planning Commission. Authentic and genuine, he touched all he met. You left your encounters with him feeling lucky to have just spent time in his company. He was a passionate man. Passionate about life including the written word, music, film, art, food, and especially people. In the words of his son Tai, "Everyone he met meant something to him." He touched us all deeply and leaves his family and friends saddened, but greatly appreciative of having him as part of their lives. He is survived by his wife Sandra; a son Tai and his wife Ciree; a daughter Chelsea; and three sisters Susan Cheffey and husband Dale, Christina Martin and husband Newell, and Sara Conklin. He is also survived by four very special grandchildren, Eli, Roscoe, Jackson, and Georgia. His parents predeceased him. The family would like to thank all friends and caregivers for the love and support that they have given during Trim's illness. , 77, of Irasburg, died Nov. 13, 2009 in Barton. He was born Feb. 20, 1932, in Newport a son of Napoleon and Albertine (Ouimette) Letourneau. On May 21, 1955 he married Solange Poulin who predeceased him in 2005. Leon helped organize area farms to pickup their milk to go to Massachusetts for the best price at that time. Leon loved his blueberry bushes and cultivated many plants over the years. He enjoyed his family and family get togethers. He and Solange ran the farm together for many years and it was always a show place to look at when driving down Route 5 to Orleans. Leon liked working in his shop and delighted in making sleds out of steel and wood that could be pulled behind 4 wheelers, horses, and snow machinery. He loved his dog Kazoo and his pet deer Bucky and his ducks. He is survived by his children, Nelson and Judy Letourneau of Underhill, Gaetan and Cindy Letourneau of Irasburg, Nicole and Claude LaFleur of Orleans, France Letourneau and Peter Jarry of Orleans, Sylvie Perkins and Steve Nichols of Irasburg, and Carmen and Shawn Columbia of Coventry; his grandchildren, Pierre and Charlene Letourneau, Ronnie Letourneau, Becky, Travis, Sara, Trevor Letourneau, and Austin Letourneau, Sean and Jocelyn LaFleur, Michael LaFleur and Ashley, Chantal Jarry and Will, Jonathan Jarry, Jesse Fournier and Agnes, Dana Fournier, Shawna Columbia, Sonya Perkins and Robbie, Michelle Perkins and Jay; his great-grandchildren, P.J. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers Tony and Pierre, and two sisters Simone and Theresa. , 74, of Terrace Street, Whitefield, N.H., died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at the Littleton Regional Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Glover, Vt., the daughter of Prosper and Mildred (Parker) Salmon. She attended local schools and married her husband Bradley Sharman. She was a homemaker and spent most of her life in the North Country. She was avid reader and her favorite author was Agatha Christie. She liked word search puzzles, Bingo, and country music. Her greatest love was her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her parents, a brother Prosper "Hank" Salmon, and a sister Katherine Sherburne. She is survived by husband Bradley Sharman, Barrington, N.H.; two sons Nathaniel Sharman, Hooksett, N.H., and Dwight Sharman, Barrington, N.H.; two daughters Cassandra Smith, Meredith, N.H., and Sabrina Mello, Newport, R.I.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and a sister Daisy Salmon, Littleton, N.H. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, 6-8 p.m., at the Ross Funeral Home, Littleton Chapel. of St. Johnsbury, a beloved mother and a cherished friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at the age of 56. She was strong, courageous and an inspiration to us all throughout her life, and throughout her battle with cancer. Diane was born on Nov. 4, 1953, in Concord, Vt., the eighth child of Clayton and Carol (Nutting) Robinson. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1971. Being the free spirit that she was, her friends and she traveled to Alaska and that is where she met her husband to be, Philip Graziose. They were married on May 23, 1975. She really enjoyed her job at the Family Dollar Store because it gave her an opportunity to share her love and her laughter with so many. Her coworkers and all those who visited the store were always in awe of her determination and her positive spirit. She will be missed by many. She was predeceased by her husband Philip Graziose in October 2003, her father Clayton Robinson and niece Alicia Robinson in 2008 and a sister Mary Robinson in 1975. She is survived by her two children, Elizabeth Graziose of St. Johnsbury, and Nicholas Graziose and wife Sanela Fatic Graziose of Louisville, Ky.; her mother Carol Robinson of Passumpsic; her brothers and sisters Gloria Bullock and husband David Bullock of Marshville, N.C., Andrew Robinson and wife Deanne of Danville, Clayton Robinson and wife Theresa of Wilson, N.C., Brenda Ball and husband Richard of Passumpsic, Marcia Martel and husband Roger of Waterford, Thomas Robinson of Chester, Va., Earl Robinson and wife Mary of Groton, Cynthia Gordon and husband Robert of Lyndonville, Dorothy Robinson and spouse Sandy Turman of Passumpsic, Stanley Robinson and wife Kathy of Passumpsic, Russell Robinson and wife Lisa of Passumpsic, and Carol Robinson of Passumpsic; many aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews and their extended families; and her special friends Linda Konieczny, Sue Camparetto and Karen Heroux. , 88, of South Bayley-Hazen Rd. in Ryegate, Vt., died on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in White River Junction, Vt. He was born in Newbury, Vt., Sept. 19, 1921, the son of William Addison and Ella Mae (Judd) Bowley. Sherman served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Sherman married Virginia M. Darby on Feb. 21, 1943. He worked for Walter E. Jock Oil Company in Wells River, Vt., for over 40 years as a burner technician and electrician, retiring in 1988. Sherm had enjoyed time spent with his family, going on cruises, hunting, gardening, and camping. He was known for his whistling while he was working. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Virginia M. Bowley on April 2, 1996; two sisters, Velma Sheltry and Violet Hitchcock; and a brother, Norman Bowley. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryle Provost and husband Joseph of Wells River, Vt.; a son, Gary Bowley of Wells River; three sisters, Marion Ballou of South Royalton, Vt., Mary Fligno of New Britain, Conn., and Ruth Caswell of Rutland, Vt.; a brother, Raymond Bowley of Plainville, Conn.; two grandchildren, Jeremy Provost and wife Terri and Corey Provost; two great grandchildren, Jordan and Emily Provost; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and formerly of Barre, Mass., died in St. Johnsbury Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at the age of 84. Following the death of her husband Harold Brown in 1977, she moved to St. Johnsbury. She was born in Barre, Mass., Sept. 8, 1925 and was the daughter of Willie and Emily (Green) Corbett. She had at one time worked at the Village Washtub in St. Johnsbury. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

, 73, of Grandview Drive, Groveton, N.H., died peacefully on Nov. 19, 2009, at Week's Medical Center in Lancaster, N.H., after a brief illness. Born in Stewartstown, N.H., on March 28, 1936, a daughter of Ernest J. and Pearl (Cass) White, she has been a resident of Groveton most of her life. She was a graduate of Lancaster Academy, class of 1954. Before retiring Alice worked for many years for James River and then Wausau Paper Co. She was a past member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Groveton. Before "Scotty's" passing, she loved to spend time with him at camp. She loved yard sale-ing, taking pictures, crafting, four wheeling, snow machining and going out to eat. Alice loved getting together with "the gang" whom lovingly called her "Miss Alice." Alice is survived by her three daughters Sherry Breault of Freedom, N.H., Sheryl Scott of Groveton, and Shelly Paquette of Groveton/Wausau, Wis.; four grandchildren and her loving cat "Crusier." She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Keene "Scotty" Scott in 2001; and one brother Donald White. At Alice's request there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at 1 p.m., at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton with Pastor Aaron Cox of the Groveton United Methodist Church officiating. finished her work here on earth Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, and no doubt is already busy in her Maker's garden, nurturing puppies, bluebirds, hummingbirds, butterflies, flowers and children. She was born March 12, 1925, in Meredith, N.H., the daughter of Joseph F. Jr. and Sadie King. In 1927 the family moved to a farm in South Wheelock where she grew up attending Chandler Pond School, and graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1942. She married Earnest G. Emery and they settled in Kirby in October 1949, where they raised their five children. She is survived by her eldest daughter, Shirley Connor of Slippery Rock, Pa., who helped care for her these past few months, and her youngest son, Davis F. Emery, who cared for her the past few years. Also a wonderful brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Alberta King of St. Johnsbury; her grandchildren, which she took great pride in helping raise: Michael Willey and wife Patricia of St. Johnsbury Center, Lori Cihon and husband Ken of Slippery Rock, Pa., Shawn K. Brooks of Nebraska; Barry E. Brooks and wife Tina of Lyndon; eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, and three children, James E., Jean E., and Robert L. She served her community as Cemetery Sexton, 1st Constable, and a Tax Collector, with compassion. She was a pioneer in bussing children to school, joining other women who established their own bus routes, which included Virginia Greer of East Burke, Ethel Jones of South Kirby, and Erma Baker of South Wheelock. She loved each and every child, and drove bus for 22 years. Kirby's older neighbors will remember her tireless work in putting on dances at the Town Hall, and trying to raise money to bring running water to the Brookside School. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, Lyndonville Post #10038. While her passion for hunting, fishing and cooking were legendary, her non-judgemental attitude and acceptance of whatever life handed her with a beautiful smile is what made her an institution to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. , 85, a former, longtime Woodsville resident, died Nov. 17, 2009, at her home in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born in Haverhill, N.H., on Nov. 16, 1924, a daughter of William Franklin and Mary Edna (Pike) Powers. Jessie worked for more than 40 years at the Grafton County Nursing Home and Complex as a certified nursing assistant and purchasing agent, retiring in 2000. In 2002 she moved to Oklahoma City where she lived near her daughter Mary Ann Peters and family. Jessie married Sherwin J. Kendall in 1966, and he predeceased her on Jan. 2, 1981. She was also predeceased by a brother, William Powers. Survivors include her daughter Mary Ann Peters and husband Steve of Oklahoma City, Okla., and their sons Shaanan and Shawn Peters, also of Oklahoma City; a daughter Barbara A. Hanchett and a son William Hanchett; a sister Madeline Bullard of Woodsville, along with several nieces and nephews. There will be calling hours on Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch St., Woodsville. The funeral services will be on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Sue Ellery of the Woodsville United Methodist Church officiating.
