Although primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Coulombe did work as a sales clerk for several local stores, including Britts in Concord, N.H. Rita enjoyed knitting, organized bus trips, especially to casinos, where she was known to be quite lucky at times, was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed her weekly card group. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and had been a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the St. Theresa Rosebush Society and the Ladies of St. Anne. Rita was the widow of Ernest Coulombe, who died in 1993, and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carmen and Richard Gagne of Sugar Hill; three grandchildren and their spouses: Joel Dauteuil and Heather Fougnier of Bethlehem, Nicole and Robert Begin of Waterford, Vt., and Sarah Gagne of Santa Cruz, Calif.; great-grandchildren: Emilie, Samuel, and Rye Lee; and nieces and nephews, especially Jeanne and Norman Chaput of Allenstown, with whom she shared a special bond. Mrs. Coulombe was predeceased by her brother and sister, Lionel Duclos and Rachel Pelletier. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke, N.H., where members of the Ladies of St. Anne and the St. Theresa Rosebush Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. for a prayer service. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown by Rev. C. Peter Dumont, with a reception following. Spring burial will take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Since Rita was fond of music and a member of the choir, her family hopes that many will choose to donate to a new keyboard for the church choir in her memory. Memorial donations may be made to Choir Keyboard, St. John the Baptist Church, 10 School Street, Allenstown, NH 03275.
