, 95, of Barton, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, died Sunday, April 13, 2008, in Glover. Mrs. Healy was born in Frampton, Quebec, on March 22, 1913, one of 11 children. She worked as a nanny in White Plains, New York. On February 8, 1939, she married Edward Healy, who predeceased her on November 11, 1990. They farmed in St. Malachie and Stanstead, Quebec, and Barton, where they had lived since 1950. She was a cook at two restaurants in Orleans, and she owned and operated the Park Restaurant in Barton. She worked for the Barton Cleaners. She did alterations and sewing for many people. Most of all, she loved the Lord, and she prayed daily for everything and everyone. She shared her faith with everyone she met. She crocheted 12 afghans a year, praying for the person who would receive each blanket with every stitch she made. For years she played bingo weekly, and up until recently she played cards with her dear friends nightly. She worshipped at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Barton for the past 58 years. She lived in her home, taking care of all the household tasks, until March 27, when she fell. She is survived by her three children: Annie Coffey and her husband, Everett, of Waterbury, Margaret Melson and her husband, Nathaniel, of Los Gatos, California, and Nancy Rodgers and her husband, James, of West Glover; by 12 grandchildren; by 15 great-grandchildren (with another due in June); and by her dear friends: Simon, Marielle, Russ, Ann, and Annette. Her ten siblings, her husband, Edward J. Healy, and her son Edward E. Healy predeceased her. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at the Curtis-Britch Converse-Rushford Funeral Home in Barton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Barton with the Reverend Daniel Rupp celebrating a Mass of Christian Burial. , 64, of Derby Line died at her home on April 10, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Cote was born July 19, 1943, in Burlington, a daughter of Joseph and Florence (Allard) Cote. She was a trustee and archivist for the Nulhegan Band for six years, and she worked for the native communtiy of the Abenaki Nation for 20 years. She formally worked as a printer for the Newport Daily Express and the Burlington Free Press, and she enjoyed painting and freelance photography. She is survived by her children: Dawn Macie of Newport, Cindy Dague of Derby Line, and Charlee Kendall and her husband, Charles, of Whitehall, New York; by four grandchildren: Heath Macie, Melissa Dague, Candace Dague, and Yvonne Dague; by eight great-grandchildren; by two brothers, Donald Cote and his wife, Connie, of Colchester and Gary Cote and his wife, Melinda, of Cambridge; and by two nieces, Tari and Stephanie. Funeral services were held April 14 at a Curtis-Britch Converse-Rushford Funeral Home in Newport with the Reverend Roger Fletcher officiating. , 89, of Newport died peacefully April 17, 2008, in Newport. Mrs. Robitaille was born June 29, 1918, in Canada, a daughter of Ephriam and Eugene (Ouellette) Perrault. On December 17, 1940, she married Oscar Robitaille, who survives her. She was a machine operator for General Motors in Connecticut for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, painting, and wallpapering. She loved flowers. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Robitaille, of Derby; by two daughters, Betty Smith of Bristol, Connecticut, and Barbara Evon and her husband, Earl, of Waterbury, Connecticut; by five grandchildren: Fred Smith, Chris Smith, Shanna Claudio, Scott Wilkins, and Jason Evon; and by five great-grandchildren: Alex Smith, Brandon Claudio, Ivan Claudio, Nadia Evon, and Paige Evon. Funeral services were held April 19 in Newport with the Reverend Philip Branon officiating. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in Newport.

, 90, of Irasburg died peacefully April 18, 2008, at his niece's home in Brownington. Mr. Orr was born May 15, 1917, in Coventry, a son of Clinton and Helen (Priest) Orr. He served in the Vermont National Guard from 1936 to 1939 in the 172nd infantry, 3rd Battalion. On July 14, 1947, he became a member of Masonic Union Lodge 16 in Troy. He did various jobs in his lifetime but enjoyed farming the most. He worked at Ethan Allen in Orleans, retiring after 25 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling, and his favorite was bowling. For 40 years he had bowled on a variety of leagues, and most recently he bowled in a Monday night league for the Alley Cats and on Wednesdays with the senior citizen league. On December 28, 1974, he married Marion Joslyn, who predeceased him on August 25, 2001. He is survived by a son, Richard Orr, his wife, Myrna, and their family of Evansville; by very special niece Brigitte Moulton and her husband, Larry, of Brownington; by his special friends Larry and Alfred Pepin; by his sister Olga "Pauline" Orr of Grafton, Massachusetts; a special little man, "Pee-Wah"; by his sister-in-law Janet Orr of Newport; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Helen Beatrice Josey Orr; by brothers Kenneth, Gordon, Richard, Robert, and Clifton; and by two sisters, Gladys and Beatrice. , 86, of Albany died peacefully on April 14, 2008, in Newport. Mr. Mason was born February 3, 1922, in St. Johnsbury, a son of Adolphus and Virginia (Gonyaw) Mason. On April 21, 1941, he married Dorothy Laverdiere, who predeceased him on April 3. His loves were working the family farm, sugaring, gardening, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children: Donald Mason and his wife, Guyla, of Woodbury, Gary Mason and his wife, Valvet, of Albany, Priscilla Mason of Hardwick, Paulette Webster and her husband, Mark, of Irasburg, Roger Mason and his friend, Bonnie McGregor, of Albany, and Randy Mason and his wife, Carole, of Albany; by 12 grandchildren; by 12 great-grandchildren; and by his brother Mayland Mason of Newport. , 24, of East Craftsbury died unexpectedly at his home on April 16, 2008. Mr. Kinsey was born in St. Johnsbury on January 12, 1984, a son of Margot Eastman and Everett Kinsey of Craftsbury. He was a 2002 graduate of Craftsbury Academy and attended Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. He was a camper at the Farm and Wilderness Camp in Plymouth for five years and returned there to work as a counselor for three years. He worked as a builder with his uncle Earl Kinsey and as a garden worker for Pete's Greens in Craftsbury. He enjoyed being with family and friends, playing the guitar, snowboarding, gardening, and camping. He leaves his mother, Margot Eastman, and her friend, Wolfgang Schadinger; a brother, Kaolin Kinsey, and his wife, Sarah Bowman, of Lynn, Massachusetts; his paternal grandmother, Eunice Kinsey, of Craftsbury; two uncles, Earl Kinsey and his wife, Joanna, of South Albany and Erwin Kinsey of Arusha, Tanzania; five aunts: Emily Dearborn and her husband, Jeff, of North Hyde Park, Jennie Stanger and her husband, John, of Dundee, Michigan, Valerie Kinsey of Hardwick, Liz Nelson of West Glover, and Carol Guncheon and her husband, Michael, of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also leaves innumerable friends and zillions of loving cousins. He graduated from Lake Region Union High School and was a self-employed truck driver. He held memberships with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Vermont All Terrain Vehicle Sportsman's Association, American Legion Post 21, and the Truckers Association. He enjoyed hunting with friends, four-wheeling with his family, and traveling with his family. , 82, formerly of Danville and Barton, died April 13, 2008, at the Newport Health Care Center. Mr. Sargeant was born in Danville on June 16, 1925, a son of Neal W. Sargeant Sr. and Emma (Stocker) Sargeant. He left Danville High School early to enroll in the Army Air Force. He served in World War II as a tail-gunner on a B-24 Liberator bomber, flying on 35 missions over France and Germany. He later served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for years as a maintenance person at National Life in Montpelier, stocker and bagger at the old Zayre's at the mall in St. Johnsbury, and as a bagger at the Price Chopper in St. Johnsbury and at C&C Supermarket and Comstock's Market in Barton. He is survived by two brothers, Neal W. Sargeant Jr. of Cabot and Theodore Sargeant and his wife, Joan, of Huntington; by two sisters, Martha S. Sevigny of Cromwell, Connecticut, and Marilyn J. Graham of Texarkana, Arkansas; and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Nila Thompson of St. Johnsbury and Patricia Sargeant at age four. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 6, at 2 p.m. at the Danville Green Cemetery. , 62, of Barton died at her home on April 21, 2008. Mrs. Rockwell was born April 7, 1946, in Franklin, a daughter of William and Ruth (Hance) Fiske. On April 27, 1963, she married Donald Rockwell, who predeceased her on December 27, 2007. She was a self-employed fabricater. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, and she was a wonderful mother to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Donald Rockwell Jr. of Barton, Laura Valley and her husband, Michael, of Hooksett, New Hampshire, Stephen Rockwell of Barton, and Kelly Marie Rockwell of Barton; by three grandchildren: Garret Rockwell of Barton and Megan and Brandon Valley of Hooksett; and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary Louise (Mills) Reno

died April 14, 2008, in Middletown, Connecticut. Mrs. Reno was born in Plainville, Connecticut, a daughter of Lewis Sprague Mills Sr. and Edith May (Wilder) Mills of Canton, Connecticut. She married Andre F. Reno, who predeceased her in November 2004 in West Charleston. Before moving to Vermont they lived in Rhode Island for a while. They were both very active in the music circles there and owned and ran the Providence Motorcycle Outlet. Very interested in leather, she designed and made many beautiful articles and clothing and formed Louise's Leathers. She and her husband moved to Vermont in their retirement years to enjoy the beauty of the countryside and enjoy a better way of life. Their years in Vermont were the best, they said, living off the land with organic gardening and canning. An avid photographer, her husband took many pictures of birds and wildlife. She continued her leather craft, winning many blue ribbons at the Orleans County Fair in Barton every year. She and her husband had wonderful neighbors and made many wonderful friends and acquaintances along the way. She was an accomplished classical pianist and organist, having served for many years as the organist and choir director at the Hockanum Methodist Church in East Hartford, Connecticut, and The First Church in Windsor, Connecticut. She was very active in the Hartford Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and in choral music circles for many years (as was her late husband, Andre F. Reno), recording many of the recitals. She is survived by her two daughters, Jean Louise Lara of Staffordville, Connecticut, and her best friend and companion, Edward, from Newburg, New York, and Ruth Christine Vela and her husband, Albert V. Jr., of Middletown, Connecticut; by grandchildren: Morris Lewis Lara and his companion, Jen, of Staffordville, Stuart Charles Desso Jr. of Middletown, and Aimee May Johnson and her husband, Gene, of Lynchburg, Virginia; by great-grandchildren Rachael Lara of Hawaii and Antoinette Sophie Desso of Middletown; by many cousins, nieces, and nephews; by a stepfamily in the Northeast Kingdom and Connecticut; and by her favorite cat, Cat-Two. She was predeceased by her parents. A graveside memorial will be held in the late spring in the West Charleston Cemetery. , 88, of East Hardwick died December 16, 2007, at her home following a lingering illness. Mrs. Renehan was born March 7, 1919, in Portland, Connecticut, a daughter of George and Olive (Preece)Semler. She attended public school in Middleton, Connecticut, where she spent her childhood before moving to Saybrook, Connecticut, at age 15. She married Jim Renehan in July 1984 in her favorite place in Vermont, Strafford. In her earlier years she was a waitress and hostess and she purchased clothing for a department store, all in Saybrook. She later operated a dog grooming business and restored antiques. She loved animals and worked for their protection. She helped to organize and establish the first chapter of the Humane Society in MacLean County, Illinois. She especially enjoyed her family, pets, writing stories and poems, and drawing and painting. She spent many hours engaged in painting and writing at Out and About in Morrisville. Survivors include two sons, Henry "Bud" Lemay of Purgitsville, West Virginia, and George Lemay of Clinton, Connecticut; stepson Robert de Sousa of Bomoseen; two daughters, Kathleen "Pat" Mott of Gibson City, Illinois, and Dawn Bausch of East Hardwick; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister Ann Rhoades of Saybrook. She was predeceased by her husband in 1992; by her parents; by an infant son, Richard Lemay; and by her brother George Semler. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, at 2 p.m. in Pleasant View Cemetery in Morrisville. The family will receive friends for refreshments and fellowship immediately following the service at the North Country Animal League in Morrisville. , 43, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Kenton was born in Brattleboro on March 22, 1965, a son of the late Donald Kenton and Edith (Leite) Kenton-Cole. He grew up in Newport and graduated from North Country Union High School in 1983. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1987, he lived in Newport, where he owned and operated Kenton Enterprises. He then lived in various states. While living in Clovis, New Mexico, he met Kim Bosetti. The two married on March 21, 1992, in North Troy. They then had two wonderful children, Aubree and Brinson. With his love of technology, he opened his second business, IT Centers, in Waupaca. He was a member of Faith Community Church in Waupaca. He loved spending time with his family, watching movies, reading, and working. Besides his wife and children, other survivors include his stepson Aaron Wilkening of Destin, Florida; sisters: Terri O'Brien of Morrison, Colorado, Kristen Weiss and her husband, Jeffrey, of Craftsbury Common, and Allison Kenton of Newport; his parents-in-law, Eugene and Sue Bosetti, of Gladstone, Michigan; brothers-in-law Ross Bosetti and his wife, Brenda, of Waupaca and Rick Bosetti and his wife, Roberta, of Greenville, Wisconsin; stepfather, Donald Cole, of Newport; and nieces and nephews: Kayla, Kenny, Cassidy, Erik, Kylie, Melanie, Madison, Evan, Cara, Tony, and Adam. He was predeceased by his parents. A memorial service was held at Faith Community Church in Waupaca on April 25 with the Reverend Paul Stevens and the Reverend Gary Strike officiating. Mrs. Herzog was born in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, on December 8, 1918, a daughter of Umberto and Ines (Francioni) Mattioli. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ines and Cy Abdelnour of Holland; by her grandchildren: Scott Ponce, his wife, Ingrid, and their children Isabel and Elijah of Coral Gables, Florida, Allison Ponce and her husband, Tom Bontly, of New Haven, Connecticut, and Tom Abdelnour of Burlington; and by her brother Ivan Mascioli and his wife, Mary, of Fort Pierce, Florida. She was predeceased by a brother, ArnoMattioli. At her request there will be no funeral services; instead, a private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. On August 4, 1962, she married Paul Domina, who survives her. She was a sales clerk at McCory's Department Store in Holyoke. She was an avid bingo player and former Girl Scout leader, and she enjoyed crossword puzzles. , 56, of Barton died peacefully April 27, 2008, in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Mr. Dellinger was born January 21, 1952, in Staten Island, New York, a son of Elizabeth (Peterson) Dellinger and David Dellinger. He was a freelance proofreader for the Stinehour Press, and he was a respite care worker. Writing was his passion in life. He enjoyed birdwatching, hiking, and being with nature at the south end of Lake Willoughby, which was his favorite place. He was a free-spirited and very kind-hearted man, a great tipper, an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and an advocate for the underdog. He is survived by his beloved life partner and caretaker, Lin Ball, of Barton; by his former wife Cathy Dellinger of Danville; by his mother, Elizabeth Dellinger, of Cooperstown, New York; and by siblings: E. Patchem Dellinger and his wife, Lissa, of Seattle, Washington, Howard Douglas of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, Natasha Dellinger and her husband, Lenny Singer, of Westford, New York, and Michele Dellinger McDonough and her companion, Daniel Cliffton, of New York, New York. , 75, of Newport Center died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 24, 2008, at the home of her daughter Sandra Grady in Newport. Mrs. Chaput was born July 5, 1932, in Derby, a daughter of Honore and Marie (Poirier) Favreau. She married Gerard Chaput, who predeceased her in 1960. She was employed for many years as a splicer at Columbia Forest Products in Newport; she retired in 2002. Over the years she was employed by the Kraft Cheese Factory in Troy, Newport Plastics, and Newport Health Care Center, and she farmed on the family farm in Newport Center. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, canning, working in her flower garden, playing cards, and going with her fiancé, Bill, to the Pick and Shovel for ice cream. She enjoyed going with Bill for an unplanned plane ride and a trip to Florida before she became very ill. She is survived by her children: Yvette Scott and her husband, Earl, of West Charleston, Denise Markwell and her husband, Keith, of Derby, Nancy Gleason and her husband, Carrol, of Newport Center, Sara Martell and her husband, Tim, of Coventry, Sandra Grady and her husband, Tom, of Newport, Alan Chaput of Newport Center, and Dale Chaput of Newport Center; by her fiancé, Bill Bursey, of Newport Center; by ten grandchildren; by 12 great-grandchildren; by brothers: Polar Favreau of Holland, Robert Favreau of Derby, Roger Favreau of Newport Center, and Camille Favreau of Holland; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Homer Chaput; by her granddaughter Roberta Lahue; by her great-granddaughter Natasha Lahue; and by brothers Rene and Paul Favreau. Funeral services were held April 29 in Newport with the Reverend Dallas St. Peter officiating. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in Newport. , 83, died December 29, 2007, after a long and valiant battle with breast cancer. She had her loving family at her side. Music was a great part of Mrs. Burdick's life, and she was a soloist at the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She had worked at the Wellesley Townsman, a newspaper. She retired from Danforth Associates, an investment firm, in 1993. She graduated from Orleans High School in 1943 and Vermont Junior College in 1945. She is survived by her brothers Edward and his wife, Pat, of Watertown, Massachusetts, and Richard of Orleans; by her sisters Ruth of Wakefield, Massachusetts, and Frances Ross of New Hampshire; by many nieces and nephews: Lee Ann Burdick of Wakefield, Scott Burdick, his wife, Joanne, and their children Brendan and Daniel of Milford, Massachusetts, Jonathan Burdick, his wife, Karen, and their children Eric and Emily of Billerica, Massachusetts, Susan Burdick of Watertown, Larry Burdick, his wife, Gertrude, and their children Michael and his wife, Beth, and Charity, Terry Burdick, his wife, Tracey, and their children Danielle, Jay, and Melissa, Edwin Burdick, his wife, Susan, and their children Robert, Donna, Scott, and Debbie, Everett, his wife, Cora, and their children Andy and Jonathan, Bruce Ross and his wife, Jenny, of California, Keith Ross, his wife, Peggy, and their children, and Herbert Ross of New Hampshire; and her very dear friend Sheila Rourke. She will be remembered for her loyal and loving generous spirit. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Pleasantview Cemetery in Orleans with the Reverend Carol Borland officiating.
