, 47, of Elm Street, Lancaster, N.H., died suddenly at his home on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Samson was born in Lancaster on July 10, 1960, a son of Edward Samson Sr. and the late Corrine (Gonyer) Samson. Scrub was a lifetime resident of Lancaster. He was employed as a small engine mechanic at Crane's Sporting Goods and for Trees n Turf. He enjoyed farming and was employed at the Forbes Farm for many years. He also loved spending time with his boys and being around friends. His family members include two sons: James M. Samson Jr., and Thomas S. Samson; and their mother Maureen (Coughlin) Samson of Jefferson; three sisters and their spouses: Deborah and Charles Huntington, Cindy and Ralph Bennett III, Tina Samson and John Parks; two brothers Edward and his wife Wynta Samson; and Phillip Samson, previously deceased all of Lancaster. At his request there are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 10 a.m., in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster.
Walter W. "Bunky" Garrett

, 69, of Barrett Street, Lisbon, N.H., died on May 22, 2008, at Littleton Regional Hospital. He was born on Dec. 15, 1938 in Goffstown, N.H., to Eugene and Laura May (Cummings) Garrett. Walter served in the US Navy for four years, was inactive in the Naval Reserve for two years, and was with the National Guard in Woodsville, N.H., for 10 years. He worked in the furniture manufacturing business for many years, first with Allen Rogers Lumber Company of Wentworth, N.H., with the former Plymwood Furniture Company in Lisbon, and then for DCI, also in Lisbon. He was an avid Red Sox fan and also a NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, to whom he was married on Feb. 22, 1969; a daughter, Dawn Horton and husband Ken of Pike, N.H.; a son Walter W. Garrett, Jr. of Lisbon; a granddaughter Kayla Horton of Pike; sisters Madeline Mailloux of Amherst, N.H., and Naomi Stone of Nashua, N.H.; brothers Eugene Garrett and wife Eleanor of Wentworth, N.H., and Ferald Garrett of Warren, N.H.; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Taylor of Orford, N.H., as well as several sisters and brothers in law and their families. He was predeceased by two brothers, Floyd "Red" Garrett and Earl Garrett. Calling hours will be Monday, May 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. , 72, of Salt Point, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Vassar Brother's Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He was born on Oct. 25, 1935, in East Haven, the son of the late Norman and Glen (Gero) Hartwell. Hartwell was owner and operator of D. Hartwell Contracting Inc. On April 14, 1988, in Stanfordville, N.Y., he married Mary (Gilligan) Hartwell. She survives him at home. In addition to his wife survivors include his five sons: Jon Hartwell of Salt Point, N.Y., Jared Hartwell of Hyde Park, N.Y., Robert Hartwell of Lyndon, Lionel Hartwell of Eutawville, S.C., Mitch Hartwell of Newport; three daughters: Maryann Friend of Lyndonville, Denise Hartwell of Sheffield, Bridgit Murphy of Clinton Corners, N.Y.; a sister, Joanne Berry of Stanfordville, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. , 79, of North Haverhill, N.H., died on May 24, 2008, at the Grafton County Nursing Home. Edie was born in Lisbon, N.H., on June 20, 1928, to Frederick and Jessie (Parker) Stebbins. She was a 1946 graduate of Woodsville High School, Woodsville, N.H. She married Dean G. Hammond on May 6, 1950. She worked as a secretary at New England Baptist Hospital, Boston, Mass., and later at First National Warehouse in North Haverhill. Edie was a devoted member and past Worthy Matron of Iona Lafayette Chapter #39 Order of the Eastern Star of North Haverhill and Grand Adah of the Grand Chapter of New Hampshire Order of the Eastern Star, and Trustee of Grafton #46 Building Association. She was a member of the North Haverhill United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She worked at the North Haverhill Fair and organized the queen contest for several years. She enjoyed working outside in her flower gardens, raking, and shoveling snow. She was predeceased by her husband, Dean G. Hammond on Dec. 14, 1992. She is survived by her two sons, Don J. Hammond and wife Patty and Alan D. Hammond, both of North Haverhill; a special niece, Shirley Slattery and husband Peter of Bath, N.H., and several other nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch St., Woodsville, on Tuesday, May 27, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 7:45. Dennis worked at the converter station in Monroe, N.H., for over 20 years, formerly New England Power and now National Grid. In his free time Dennis enjoyed sailing in Maine. , 90, formerly of Mt. Pleasant Street, St. Johnsbury, died Saturday evening May 24, 2008, at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Berlin, N,H., she was born Aug. 26, 1917, the second of twin daughters of Jeremiah and Rose (Keenan) Couhie. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1935 and Concord Business College in 1936. This was followed by a career with the Brown Company until her marriage to Richard Dionne in 1941, when they moved to St. Johnsbury, and operated Dionne's Welding Shop together until retiring in 1980. They enjoyed many years of wintering in Orlando, Fla., making new friends and enjoying old friends. Bea was a long time parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church and worked as a volunteer in various fundraising capacities. She was a volunteer for the NVRH Auxiliary, The Fairbanks Museum, served as docent in the Art Gallery of the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, was involved in the local Girl Scout organization and received the 50-year pin for her service in the St. Johnsbury Women's Club. She started the lending library at Colonial Apartments. Her quick wit and ability to enjoy a good laugh made her many lifelong friends. Survivors include three children: Eugene Dionne and wife, Peggy, of Littleton, Colo., Patricia Dubois of Rye, N.H., and Janet Quatrini and husband, Bryon, of St. Johnsbury; four grandchildren: Jeremy Dionne, Demerise and Christian Dubois, and Erin Quatrini; five great grandchildren; and a very special sister-in-law, Joan Couhie of Weare, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, in 1998; her two brothers: Joseph and Bernard Couhie; and two sisters, her twin, Bernice M. Benjamin, and Cecilia Fortier. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. , 99, formerly of Woodsville, N.H., died on May 20, 2008, at her daughter's home in Florida. Born in Woodsville, on Feb. 8, 1909, she was the daughter of Leon and Grace (Smith) Waddell. Mrs. Barrows lived in Piermont, N.H., and Woodsville for 92 years before moving to Florida with her daughter. She was a homemaker, grandmother, and a Baptist. Mrs. Barrows was predeceased by her husband, Loren Barrows, and by her son. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Tate of Alturas, Fla.; four grandchildren, Bill Engle of Woodsville, Lt. Charles Huntington, USN, of Norfolk, Va., Cynthia Ritter of Lake Wales, Fla., and Linda Ruterbories of South Portland, Maine; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. , 95, North Haverhill, N.H., died on May 24, 2008, at the Grafton County Nursing Home where she had resided for 5 1/2 years. Rena was born on Sept. 9, 1912, in Fall River, Mass., to Victor and Fabienna (Ouellette) Piche. She served as a Superior Court Clerk in Los Angeles County, Calif., prior to her retirement. Rena lived in California for 50 years prior to returning to New England in 2002. While there, she was involved in the French Canadian Club, served as a voting registrar and was involved in various capacities in the senior center as well as in politics in Carson, Calif. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur F.G. Bouthillier; her daughter, Rena L. Krissman on Jan. 4, 2006; and a great-grandson Michael Krissman on Jan. 11, 1993. She is survived by two granddaughters, Erin Krissman of Lisbon, N.H., and Marni Krissman of Ryegate, Vt.; three great-grandchildren, Lucas Costa, David Costa, and Jerre Hensley; two half-sisters, Rita Levesque of California and Rolande LaRue of Fall River; a half-brother, Roger Piche of California; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Lisbon, N.H., on Friday, May 30, at 11 a.m. with Father Daniel J. Sinibaldi officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. passed away May 25, 2008, at his home in West Halifax, Vt. He was born in Danville, Vt., Sept. 22, 1943. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul Roy and Evelyn (Sanford) Roy and also his beloved dog, Jake, who was his constant companion. Bob is survived by his wife, Judith A. (Brewer) Roy. They were married in 1962. He is also survived by three children, Robert F. Roy Jr. of Spofford, N.H.; Sandie and Charles Cunningham of Halifax, Vt. and Cheryl and Jason Wincek of Halifax, Vt.; seven grandchildren and one great grandson born on May 25, 2008. Bob loved his family dearly. Bob is also survived by his brother, Paul Roy Jr. and wife, Donna, of Searsburg, and his sisters, Carol and husband, Chuck Bernal, of Searsburg, Vt., and Marylin and Kermit Dwyer of St. Johnsbury, Vt. Bob also leaves many dear friends including Edward "Buster" Wheeler, who stayed with him 24/7 during his final weeks helping the family care for him; close friends, Mark Barlow and Ron "Tinman" Smith, who spent many hours visiting and helping Bob. Bob started working on construction at a very young age. He also work for awhile at Mount Snow in West Dover, Vt. Then he turned to driving truck for construction companies until his health forced him to retire in 2006. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Committal services will be held at Danville, Vt., Cemetery on Saturday, May 31 at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us to celebrate his life. There will be no calling hours. After graduating from UVM, Barbara met Clarence while employed at Beneficial Finance in St. Johnsbury. They were married Sept. 14, 1954. She later worked part-time as an assistant town clerk in Danville. Barbara is survived by her husband, Clarence E. Emmons of Danville (PO Box 174, 05828); one daughter, Diane Sugerman of Mi Wuk village, California; one older sister, Natalie Capron of Springfield, Vt.; one older brother, Earl Rodger of Olympia, Wash.; one younger sister, Marilyn Guy of New Jersey; many nieces, nephews and their families. , 91, a long-time resident of Craftsbury, Vt., currently of Derby, Vt., died Tuesday evening, May 27, 2008, at Dartmouth Hitchcock-Medical Center in Lebanon N.H. He was born on the family farm in Craftsbury, Vt., Sept. 30, 1916, the son of Glen and May (Wilcox) Bailey. He attended public schools in Craftsbury and graduated from Craftsbury Academy in 1936. At this time he had a flock of 600 chickens. Following graduation he remained on the farm and helped his father in the farming business and continued his poultry business. He purchased the family farm in 1946 when he had a flock of 12,500 birds. He married Erla Foster in 1948 and continued farming until 1975. They sold the farm to their son, John, in 1986. During his last 15 years of farming he was a dealer, distributor and installer of Berg Barn Equipment. After the sale of his farm, he continued to live in the farmhouse, dealing in real estate and used cars. He purchased a home in 1991 on Central Street in Newport, Vt., and continued his dealings in real estate and cars. He moved to Derby in 2000. Wesley was a 50-year member of the Craftsbury Community Grange and a member of the Lamoille Grange No. 233 in Morrisville, Vt. He also was a 50-year member and Past Master of the Mineral Masonic Lodge of Wolcott, Vt.. He joined the Mt. Vernon Lodge No. 8 and was a Past Patron of the Coral Chapter No. 16, both of Morrisville. He became a member of the Lakeside Chapter No. 270 ES in Newport in 1996 and was a 32nd decree member of the Scottish Rite and Shriners. Also in 1993 he became a member of the York Rite. While in Craftsbury he had served as a Town Lister, Grand Juror and Justice of the Peace for many years. He also served as a director of the Farm Bureau, representing Essex and Orleans counties. He leaves three sons, Thomas of Concord, Vt.; John and friend, Kathy, of Craftsbury; and Richard and his wife, Cheryl, of Craftsbury; two grandchildren, Trina Aicher and John Bailey Jr.; and a great grandchild, Rachel Ann. He also leaves two sisters, Thelma Ward of Morrisville and Ethel Bailey of Greensboro, Vt.; nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Annabelle Restall and Doris Griswold. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, at the United Church of Craftsbury, in Craftsbury Common, with Pastor Alan Parker officiating and including a Masonic service. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Branch Cemetery in Craftsbury. Robert "Bob" Erwin Bean

, age 74, died May 26, 2008, at his home in Lisbon, N.H., of a lengthy illness. Bob was born in Littleton, N.H., on Jan. 16, 1934, a son to Oscar Erwin Bean and Bertha Richards Bean Thorne. He was a lifetime resident of Lisbon and attended Lisbon High School. He was employed in the lumber business at Varney & Smith Lumber/Newman Lumber and HG Woods. He was employed by the state of New Hampshire Department of Transportation until a stroke in 1995 forced his early retirement. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and bird watching. He participated in many moose hunts, was a member of the DMIP, and was a speaker at Hunter's Safety programs. He was also a member of the New Hampshire Gas & Steam Association. He loved antiquities and history, particularly when those subjects involved the Clan MacBean or the Revolutionary or Civil War eras. He was a self-taught "bones" player. He always tried to educate all around him and was an avid reader. He would tell you that he was proudest of his role as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Natalie G. Bean, and his daughters, Jody B. Labrecque, of Littleton; Roberta B. Hannaford, and her husband, Don R. Hannaford of Candia; Ramona B. Raynor, and her husband, Ray A. Raynor, III, of Lyndonville, Vt.; Kimmy B. Lavoie, and her husband, Glenn A. Lavoie, of Littleton; and Jerralyn B. Welch, and her husband, Steven G. Welch, of Littleton. He also leaves his grandchildren, Joelle and Lindsay Labrecque; Rhys, John, and Domenica Alioto; Airman Kendra Rocha; Kally and Hannah Lavoie; and Jessenia Welch. A celebration of his life will be held at the Lisbon Shared Ministry White Church on Saturday, May 31, 2008, with a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m.; a Service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lyn O. Winter officiating, and a reception at the Lisbon Town Hall following the service. She was born Jan. 4, 1957 in St. Johnsbury, a daughter of Albert and Minnie (Whitcher) Fenoff Sr. Cheryl worked as a self employed housekeeper for many years. She formerly worked at Glovers in St. Johnsbury, the assisted living retirement home in Concord, and she also did private care in her home. She loved her canine companions, Lingling and Cajun, and enjoyed working in her flower gardens, and camping at Island Pond. Survivors include her husband of nearly 20 years, Michael Douglas of Wheelock; her mother, Minnie Fenoff of Lyndonville; her stepdaughter, Krystal Douglas of Lyndonville; three brothers, Albert Fenoff Jr. and wife Ann of Winooski, Frank Fenoff of St. Johnsbury, and Brian Fenoff and companion Jennifer Walker of Lyndonville; two sisters, Diane McRae and husband Ronnie of North Carolina, and Kathy Fenoff and friend Tammy of North Carolina; her mother in-law, Helen Laberge and husband J. , 83, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away May 27, 2008. He was born Dec. 25, 1924 in Watertown, Mass. and moved to Florida in 1992 from Woodsville, N.H. Mr. Dupuis retired after 35 years as a trainman for Boston-Maine Railroad. He was a member of the Elks in Littleton, N.H., and served in the Army/Air Corp during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Ross-Wood Post No. 20. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Woodsville, N.H. Survivors include his sons, Joel of N. Haverhill, N.H., and Shawn of Plainfield, Ill. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Emmons Dupuis. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family in New Hampshire. , 98, of Knoll Drive, Barre City, Vt., died Wednesday May 28, 2008, at the Berlin Health and Rehab Center, with her family at her bedside. Born June 11, 1909, in Newbury, Vt., she was the daughter of Thomas and Louis A. (MacDonald) Longmoore. She graduated from Newbury High School in 1927. She had graduated from Plymouth, N.H., State Teachers College and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vt. On Dec. 14, 1934, she married Maurice J. Gignac in Enfield, N.H. They made their home in Lebanon, N.H. and Ludlow, Vt., coming to Barre, Vt., in 1948, where they had since resided. Her husband died in 1962. She had been an elementary school teacher, in Lebanon, N.H., and for over 20 years in Barre City, retiring in 1977. Teaching was her love and passion and she maintained many relationships with her former students and their families. Being active in her church and maintaining her wide circle of friends and family were her special interests, as well as her Scottish heritage. She had been a longtime volunteer at the Central Vermont Hospital Gift Shop and belonged to the Hospital Auxiliary for many years. Her memberships include the First Presbyterian Church of Barre for over 50 years and its Elwood Club and held many church offices as well as the Order of Rebekah's, the Vermont Association of the Blind, the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society, the Vermont Retired Teachers Association and Washington County Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include her daughter Karen Peake and granddaughter Holly Peake and her son Bruce Gignac and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by all her siblings. Burial will be made in the Hope Cemetery at the convenience of her family. died peacefully at his daughter's home in Oregon on April 19, 2008, surrounded by his family. Carl was born June 27, 1923, in Chicago, Ill., to Carl Sr. and Katherine (Warner) Hornberger. His college education was interrupted by World War II when he was called to proudly serve his country on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos, N.M. This experience was humbling and impacted the way he viewed the world. After the way, he earned his doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, where he met and married Covelle George. Carl and and Covelle moved to Delaware where he worked as a chemist for DuPont until he retired. Throughout his life, Carl expressed creativity in both his professional and personal lives. He experimented with various artistic mediums, including painting, ceramics, polymer clay and photography. He honed his handyman skills by improving and modifying all of his homes. In his spare time, he enjoyed sailing, birding, and traveling (especially in the western U.S.). He traveled to Central and South America to pursue his birding hobby and also foster good will and understanding between people of different cultures. He was also passionate about giving back to the community and helping others. He was active in Democratic Party politics and was an original board member of the Delcastle Technical High School. He taught courses at Delaware State College and also hosted students in his home. After nearly 34 years of marriage, Covelle died in 1984. Carl then met and married his second wife, Jean Battles Irvin, in 1987 and began another phase of life involving more art, travel, education and even dance. They moved to Groton, Vt., and enjoyed the advantages of a caring and supportive community. When Jean died in 2002, Carl returned to Wilmington and then later moved to Oregon. Carl is survived by his son Jonathan of Terrebonne, Ore.; daughters Catherine Wagner (Chuck) of Wilmington, Del., and Leslie Keller (Pete Civitarese) of Terrebonne, Ore., with whom he lived; his sister Jacqueline of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by Jean's sons Brendan Battles and Dylan Battles; her daughters Debbie Paris, Megan Bennett and Zoe Battles, and their children. A memorial and celebration of life will be held at a later date. , 63, of Newport, Vt., died May 29, 2008, in Newport surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 21, 1945, in Newport, daughter of Gordon and Marjorie (Hill) Chesney. On Jan. 7, 1972, she married Alan Myers who survives her. Mrs. Myers graduated from Brighton High School and attended Keene State College for three years. She was employed for 11 years by the Island Pond Health Center, 10 years by the Northeast Kingdom Human Services, and 10 years by Orleans Medical Clinic where she was their medical billing supervisor. She held memberships with the O.E.S. Lakeside Chapter, Brighton Rescue EMTI for 12 years and she was the organist for Christ Episcopal Church for many years. Among her hobbies she enjoyed sewing, making many clothes for her family, and playing the organ and piano. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Alan Myers, of Coventry, Vt.; two children, Alfred Myers and his wife, Karen, of Ferrisburgh, Vt., Stacey Davis of Georgia, Vt; and by her stepchildren: David Myers and his wife, Shelle, of Georgia, Vt; Carolyn Palmer of Hinesburg, Steven Myers and his wife, Amy, of Shelburne, Vt., and Angela Myers of Burlington. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Jeromie Dalziel, Shane Dalziel, Lauren Myers, Carly Myers, Bradley Myers and his wife, Joanna, Kristina Myers, Sara Myers, Erin Palmer, Troy Davis, Andrew Davis, Mickayla Myers, Evan Myers, and Melina Myers, and by two brothers, Ronald Chesney and his wife, Roberta, of Island Pond, and Bruce Chesney and his wife, Lora, of Coventry, also by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Island Pond at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at with the Rev. Brendon Whittaker officiating, followed by a reception at the American Legion Post No. 80. of Kennebunkport, Maine, and formerly of Littleton, N.H., died at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. William (Bill) was born on Feb. 9, 1936, in Lowell, Mass. He was the son of William R. Walsh Sr. and Mary (Derby) Walsh. He attended Lowell schools and graduated from Keith Academy. Mr. Walsh graduated from Lowell Technological Institute, which is now known as UMass at Lowell. After college, Bill began his career in the paper industry in 1958, working for Hammermill Paper in Erie, Pa. He then went on to work for the Gilman Paper Co., in New York City and Gilman, Vt.; Georgia Pacific Paper Co. in Kalamazoo, Mich., Darien, Conn., and Dalton, N.H.; Patriot Paper in Hyde Park, Mass.; Detroit River Paper Co. in Detroit, Mich.; IVEX and Packing Dynamics in Joliet, Ill., where he retired as vice president in 2005. Having moved to Kennebunkport 21 years ago, Mr. Walsh was a member of Holy Spirit Parish Church - St. Martha's Church in Kennebunk. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks, and Cape Arundel Golf Club in Kennebunkport. In his younger years, he was captain of his baseball and football teams in high school and in college and played semi-pro ball in Lowell. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Red Sox fan. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Mr. Walsh is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol E. (Finneral) Walsh, of Kennebunkport; his two sons, William R. Walsh III and his wife, Chryssoula, of Kennebunk and Michael Walsh of Cumberland; his two daughters, Colleen Waterhouse and her husband, Michael, of Kennebunkport and Erin Murray and her husband, James, of Farmington, Conn.; his sisters, Shirley Wilkinson and her husband, Dr. Charles, of W. Hartford, Conn., and Nancy Methot and husband, Daniel, of E. Granby, Conn.; his aunt Mary K. Walsh of Lowell, Mass.; seven grandchildren, Patrick and Sarah Jones, Shaun, Meghan and Kaitlyn Murray, Timothy and Michael Walsh; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held Saturday, May 24, 2008, at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Martha's Church, Kennebunk. Burial was in Arundel Cemetery in Kennebunkport, Maine.

, 76, a Lyndonville resident, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical center in White River Junction. Peter was born July 24, 1931, in Boston, Mass., son of the late Peter W. and Wilhemina L. (Boehme) Kelly. He married Marilyn Sparre, Jan. 28, 1961, in Dorchester, Mass. Peter worked as an Electronic Technician all his life. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, he served in the U.S. Army ASA during the Korean Conflict, was a life member of the VFW Lyndonville Post No. 10038 and American Legion Post No. 30 Lyndonville. He also served as Unit Commander of the Northeast Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, for many years, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn of Lyndonville, seven children, June Kelly and companion Chris Powers, Peter Kelly and wife Kelly, Mary Liberty, Ralph Kelly and wife Angela, Alice Ruffner and husband Robert, Grace Parenteau and husband Paul, Michele Kelly and companion Ethan Marion; several nieces and nephews. Pete enjoyed his 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild and loved to spend time with them. Peter was predeceased by a brother Gerard. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday Evening, June 2, 5 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Church, with the Rev. Jon Schnobrich, celebrant. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Pearsons Funeral Home. , 62, South Yarmouth, Mass., passed away on May 25, 2008. He was born on May 1, 1946, the son of Paul and Aneta Dovhulok. He graduated from Littleton High School. In high school, he was on the ski team and excelled at ski jumping. During his life he was employed as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and later in life he was an aspiring artist. Gary was predeceased by his parents. Surviving family members include his daughter, Annika Dovholuk, of Florida, his two sisters, Paula Dovholuk, of Portland, Ore., and Mt. Shasta, Calif., and Diane Dovholuk, of Sunol, Calif., and his brother, Stephen Dovholuk, of Manchester, N.H. A family graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 31, at 1 p.m. at the Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton, N.H. A celebration of Gary's life will be at the Dovholuk home following the service.
