James "Jimbob" Bernard Harris

, 61, of Derby died suddenly on January 31, 2007, at his home. Mr. Harris was born September 9, 1945, in Springfield, a son of the late Bernard and Vivian (Rushford) Harris. He was employed by Fellows Gear Shapher Corporation in Springfield for 34 years, taking an early retirement due to his illness. He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Harris of Charlestown, New Hampshire, and Debbie Harris of Springfield; by a stepson, Jeremy Scannell, and his fiancée, Jenna Durivage, of Newport; by grandchildren: Lucas, Jay, Amanda, and Brandon; by his brothers and sisters: Carol Harris of Vermont, Virginia Wilkinson of Ohio, Warnie Mowery of New York, Frances George of Florida, Pearl McKune of New York, Randy Harris of New Jersey, and Stuart Mowrey of New York; by his stepfather, Bernard Mowrey, of Vermont; by several nieces and nephews; and by his best friend, his dog Zeb. Moments of remembrance were held February 10 at the Chester Town Hall in Chester. Colbert H. "Woody" Wood

, 76, of Goffstown, New Hampshire, and Westmore, died at home, surrounded by his family, on February 7, 2007. Mr. Wood was born in Newport and was brought up in Derby, graduating from Derby Academy in 1949. He was a graduate of Burlington Business College. He fought a courageous fight against liver disease and cancer for the past four years. His working years were spent over 30 years with Diamond International Lumber Company in the capacity of lumberyard manager in Connecticut and Rhode Island, and then at corporate headquarters as a purchasing agent for building supplies. He spent the last ten working years with Rugby, Incorporated, in Brattleboro in the same capacity. He was a 40-year member of the Orleans Country Club and enjoyed golfing at every opportunity. He was a longtime member of the Westmore United Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan (Bruce) Wood; by his sons Martin and his wife, Janice, of Milford, New Hampshire, and Eric and his wife, Joanna, of Weare, New Hampshire; by his daughter Jayne Hiltz and her husband, C.J., of Goffstown; by his sister Charleen Bronson and her husband, Pete, of Morgan; by six grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Wilfrid L. Wood and Goldie (Drown) Wood of Derby; and by a brother, Laurier. A memorial service is planned at the Westmore United Church of Christ at 2 p.m. on May 26. , 64, of Irasburg, beloved husband of Carmen Lamarche, died suddenly on Saturday, February 17, 2007, at North Country Hospital in Newport. Mr. Lamarche was born September 20, 1942, in Newport, a son of Bibiane (Campbell) and the late Roger G. Lamarche. On May 18, 1963, he married Carmen LeBlanc, who survives him. He owned and operated the Lamarche family farm for many years, and after selling it, he became a truck driver for construction jobs. He loved and derived great pleasure from his sons, their wives, and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed going to his hunting camp, working on his wood pile, keeping his yard perfect, and having coffee with Max and Eddie. In the late 1970s, he received a Dairy of Distinction award from the state of Vermont. Besides his wife, Carmen, he is survived by his sons: Pierre Lamarche and his wife, Tina, Marc Lamarche and his wife, Heather, and Andre Lamarche and his wife, Traci; by his grandchildren: Cody, Joel, Megan, Andrea, and Storm Lamarche; by his mother, BibianeLamarche; by a brother, Robert Lamarche, and his wife, Alice, of Viera, Florida; by sisters Denise Decelles and her husband, Ray, of Irasburg and Suzanne Beauregard of Montreal, Quebec; by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; by special neighbors and friends: Ed, Pat, Norman, Max, and Dean; by sisters-in-law Joanne and her husband, Robin, and Paulette and her husband, Bernard; by brothers-in-law: Teddy LeBlanc and his wife, Roberta, Allen LeBlanc, and Norman LeBlanc and his wife, Rhonda; and by his father-in-law, Paul LeBlanc. He was predeceased by his father, Roger G. Lamarche; by his mother-in-law, Gertrude LeBlanc; and by nephews Bernard and Doug. Funeral services were held February 20 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Orleans with the Reverend Daniel Rupp celebrating a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will be held at St. Theresa's Cemetery in Orleans. , 62, beloved husband of Joan Berwick Lowell, died in Newport on February 12, 2007. Mr. Lowell was born June 16, 1944, a son of Vern and Eliza (Danforth) Lowell, who predeceased him. He was a man who enjoyed working with wood and keeping his vehicles looking spotless. He loved camping and traveling to Florida. He drove truck for over 35 years, doing a lot of long distance trucking. He started driving sitting on his brother Norval's lap, driving his milk truck, which at the time was hauling milk in cans. He drove a tour bus in Canada before coming to the States. He is survived by his wife, Joan Lowell, of Newport; by stepchildren: Susan Patten and her husband, Stephen, of North Haverhill, New Hampshire, Robert and his wife, Frieda, of McIndoe Falls, and Richard Fournier and Mary Dimick of McIndoe Falls; by grandchildren: Michael, Max, and Felicia Fournier; by his brother Norval and his friend, Gloria Young, of Derby; by his sister Marian Guillette of Marbleton, Quebec; by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Allan Berwick of West Barnet, Caroline Barrett and her husband, George, of West Barnet, Carol Workman and her husband, Richard, of Florida, and Jean Berwick of Peacham; and by several nieces and nephews. , 86, of Island Pond died peacefully February 15, 2007, in Coaticook, Quebec. Mrs. Boutin was born November 19,1920, in Montreal, Quebec. In 1946 she married Alexander Boutin. He predeceased her February 20, 1990. Survivors include her five children: Robert Boutin and his wife, Diane, of St-Amable, Quebec, Monique Gray and her husband, Niles, of Island Pond, Andre Boutin and his wife, Wendy, of Stanstead, Quebec, Rita Rivers and her husband, Robert, of Island Pond, and Paul Boutin and his wife, Kathy, of Ferdinand; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be private and held in Canada. Burial will be in the spring in Island Pond.
