Dianna was born in Lancaster on June 10, 1954, the daughter of Rudolph H. and Phyllis J. (Brockney) Pandora.
She has been a lifetime resident of Lancaster working for a time at Weeks Memorial Hospital and Baker Brook of Bethlehem. Her interests included arts and crafts, baking, and yard sales.
Family members include her husband Harry A. Goodwin Jr. of Lancaster; her mother Phyllis J. Pandora of Anson, ME; a daughter Christina L. White-Pandora of Anson, ME; two sons, Michael R. Hicks II and Richard M. Goodwin, both of Lancaster; three step-children, Dana Goodwin of Groveton, Donna Kapila of Claremont, Dale Goodwin of Colebrook; three brothers, Douglas Pandora of Lewiston, Daniel Pandora of Littleton; Edward Pandora of Carthage, ME; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening November 1, from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 PM at St. Pauls Church, Lancaster. Rev. David Rose, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.

Daniel D. Wheeler
....show , 52, of Portland Street, died at his home Monday morning October 23, 2006.
Mr. Wheeler was born in West Stewartstown, NH, on February 5, 1954, the son of Dorothy Reed and Leonard A. Wheeler.
He was lifetime resident of Lancaster and worked for a time as stonemason but most of his life as an auto body repairman. As a body man he was employed for a time at Burts General Repair and Welding, White Mt. Mack and also McDevitt Trucking. For the last 2-½ years he has been self employed.
Daniel enjoyed auto racing and was an active builder and racecar owner. He was also a former pitcher in the Connecticut River Softball League at Colonel Town.
Family members include his significant other Roxanne Hartlen of Lancaster; his son Steven M. Wheeler of Lancaster; his parents, Dorothy and Allan Carr of Lancaster; a grandmother Margaret Carr of Lancaster; a brother Shayne Carr of Lancaster; three sisters, Charnee Buckley of Lancaster; Lolly Beikirch of Rochester, NY, Kathi Clarke of Lancaster; a step-brother Ricky Carr of Chichester; two step-sisters, Karen Paquette of Northumberland, Debra Lacroix of Winnisquam; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening, October 25, from 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 AM at St. Pauls Church, Lancaster. Rev. David Rose, Pastor, will co-officiate with Rev. Gary Beikirch of Rochester, NY.

Bertha M. Chapman
....show , 93, died October 22, 2006, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Bertha was born in Groveton on June 12, 1913, the daughter of Dr. Frank Harawer Chapman and Helga Mary (Abramson) Chapman.
She was a graduate of Groveton High School and the University of New Hampshire where she acquired a teaching degree. For many years she taught English at Groveton High School.
A brother, Carlton Chapman of Illinois survives her. She was predeceased by her sister Mary H. Chapman in 1993.
A visiting hour will be held Saturday morning, October 28, from 10-11 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be immediately after at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Reverend Sherry OBara, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Groveton, will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in Valley Cemetery, Lebanon.

Albert L. Giguere
....show , 66, of Horan Road, died Thursday morning October 19, 2006 at Weeks Medical Center, after a long illness.
Mr. Giguere was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on May 30, 1940 the son of Leo and Prudence (Laime) Giguere.
Albert was raised in Woonsocket and resided there until 1975 when he moved to Attleboro, MA where owned and operated an auto body shop. Since 1989 he has been a resident of Jefferson and was employed at Littleton Chevrolet until his retirement.
He enjoyed making puzzles, loved to snowmobile and was a member of Waumbek Methna Snowmobile Club.
Family members include his wife Vivian (Charrette) Giguere of Jefferson; a son Raymond Giguere of Attleboro, MA; two daughters Christine Therrian of New Portland, ME, Deborah Thorpe of Manchester, NH; and six grandchildren.
There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, October 21, at 3:30 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. Reverend Raymond Ball, pastor of All Saints Church will officiate.

Charles H. Blakslee
....show , 80, of Blakslee Road, died Wednesday morning October 11, 2006, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Mr. Blakslee was born in Whitefield, on October 24, 1925, the son of Herbert W. and Claribel (Curtis) Blakslee.
Charles was a lifetime resident of Dalton and a 1942 graduate of Dalton High School. For many years he worked as a dairy farmer operating the family farm in Dalton. For a time he was employed at Gilman Paper Company, Gilman, VT, but later returned to farming. He was a long time member of the Connecticut Valley Dairy Co-op, where he served as past president and was employed 1 ½ years as manager. He later purchased the Top-O-The Hill Store in Dalton, operating it for 21 years until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and abroad and was an avid hunter.
Other memberships include the Dalton Congregational Church of which he was past deacon and trustee, the Riverside Grange where he was past Worthy Master, and the National Dairy Association. He was also a volunteer fireman of the Dalton Fire Department.
Family members include in wife Rita (Falkenham) Blakslee of Dalton; a daughter Charlotte A. Nelson of Manchester; two sons Allen C. Blakslee of Dalton, Peter C. Blakslee of Littleton; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great granddaughters.

William R. Frommater
....show , 93, formally of Yorktown Heights, New York, died Friday morning October 6, 2006, at Country Village Genesis Eldercare, Lancaster.
Mr. Frommater was born in New York City on July 15, 1913, the son of William and Anna (Handell) Frommater.
He served in the US Navy and was a 41 year employee of Guerlain Perfume, NYC, retiring there as plant manager. He is a recent resident of Lancaster.
He is survived by his longtime companion Bernice Keller of Lancaster; two sons, Glenn Frommater of Myrtle Beach, SC, Randy Frommater of Richmond, VA; two daughters, Janet Hrebin of Southport, NC, Jill Richardson of Newberry, SC; Bernices daughter and son-in-law Martha and Robert Mekeel of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

LUNENBURG -
Leslie W. "Gob" Streeter
....show , 82, died suddenly at his home, Wednesday morning November 29, 2006.
Leslie was born in East Concord, VT, on July 16, 1924, the son of Harry P. and Lilla A. (Smith) Streeter.
Raised in East Concord he attended local schools and was a graduate of Concord High School. He went on to serve with the US Navy in World War II and was stationed aboard the USS Robert E. Keller. He served in throughout the Pacific Theatre including the battle of Iwo Jima. By the time of his discharge he received the WWII Victory Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Area Medal with four stars, the Philippine Liberation Medal with one star, and the American Area Medal.
Returning home he married Marian Brown of Lunenburg on March 13, 1946. He then attended the University of Vermont and the Lyndon Teachers College. For forty years he owned and operated the Lunenburg Oil Company while also running a lumber mill and farm. He later went into the construction business with his son Alan.
He served the Lunenburg community as water commissioner for over 50 years and was a former town selectman.
He was a proud member of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association, the Iwo Jima Survivors, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the St. Johnsbury Elks. Leslie also enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping, and was a very avid Red Sox fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.
Family members include his wife Marian of Lunenburg; two sons, Glenn C. Streeter and Leslie Alan Streeter, both of Lunenburg; a brother Prescott Streeter of Merrimack, NH; a step-sister Marion Spriggs of Merrimack, NH; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Marjorie Jean Streeter in 1993.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Friday evening December 1, from 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 PM at the Lunenburg Methodist Church. Rev. John Somers of St. Johnsbury will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, S. Lunenburg.

Olive M. Smith
....show , 94, of Maillett Road, died Sunday afternoon December 31, 2006, at Saint Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Smith was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on June 11, 1912, the daughter of James Arthur and Frances (McKinley) Milligan.
Olive graduated from Berlin High School in 1930 and went on to graduate from Keene State and Lyndon State College, earning her Bachelors Degree in teaching. For 34 years she was employed with the Lunenburg School District, working as a teacher in Gilman and Lunenburg, and as an Assistant Principal. While working for the school district she was the Hot Lunch Agent for many years and, treasurer of the Gilman P.T.A. for 25 years, and served as Library Trustee in Gilman for 39 years.
Memberships include, the Vermont Congress of P.T.A., the Caledonia and Southern Essex Retired Teachers Association, honorary member of the Vermont Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member and volunteer of the Gilman Senior Citizens Club, and was the past director on the board of the Northeastern Vermont Agency on Aging.
Olive was very active with the Eastern Star and was a fifty-year member of Adah Chapter # 39, O.E.S. in Concord, VT where she was a past officer and treasurer. She was the District Deputy Grand Matron of District #5 from 1985-1987, Grand Representative of Alberta, Canada, O.E.S., and Grand Marshal of Vermont O.E.S. from 1982-1983. She was also a member of the Charlotte Morris Past Matrons and Past Patrons of Vermont, Grand Representatives Association of Vermont, and the Green Mountain Deputies Association.
Olive was also a long time member of the Congregational Church in Berlin, and was later a member of the Gilman Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 15 years, and was treasurer.
Her hobbies and interests include crocheting, knitting, arts & crafts, reading, and stamp collecting.
Family members include two grandsons; Steven Reddy of Contocook, and Jeffrey Reddy of Florida, two great grandsons, Steven Reddy Jr. and John Robert Reddy; a sister Ruby Milligan Hills of Belfast, ME, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, her husband Dugald Stewart Smith and her daughter Elisabeth Smith Reddy.
There are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 6, at 11:00 AM at the Lunenburg Methodist Church, Reverend John Somers will officiate. Burial will be held in the spring in the Riverside Cemetery, Lunenburg.

Mrs. Santerre was born in Fitchburg, MA, on January 9, 1922, the daughter of Albanie C. and Mary (Melanson) Belliveau.
Rose was a lifetime resident of Fitchburg and graduate of Fitchburg High School. Most of her life she was a homemaker, after her children had grown she worked for ten years in the housekeeping department of Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg. She moved to Lancaster in July of this year to be near family members.
She was a Communicant of the Sacred Heart Church of Fitchburg.
Family members include her husband Norman J. Santerre of Lancaster, NH; a son Ronald J. Santerre of Lunenburg, VT; five grandchildren, Becky Boutot and Jeremy Santerre both of Lancaster, Rachael Bebb of Florida, Crystal Funderburg and Holly Tousha both of Virginia; and seven grandchildren, Ashley Boutot, Alyssa Boutot, Joshua Shoemaker, Noble Tousha, Luke Funderburg, Ellie Funderburg, and Nia Bebb. Two sons, Kenney Santerre and Gary Santerre predeceased her.

A Whitefield native, Elaine graduated from the local high school and also attended Northampton Business College in Northampton, MA. She was employed as Secretary to Randall E. Spalding at Spalding Inn for many years.
She was the widow of Franklin C. Daly who died in 1993 and a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Lancaster.
Mrs. Daly is survived by, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, a brother Wellesley Livingstone, of Manchester, a sister Marion Emery, of Groveton.

Elizabeth Haase
....show , 85, died Thursday evening, December 21, 2006, at the Riverglen House, Littleton.
Mrs. Haase was born in Clinton, Massachusetts, on September 17, 1921, the daughter of Waylan and Cornelia (Offerson) Howard.
Raised in Clinton, MA she was a graduate of Clinton Academy. In the late 70s she and her husband Frank purchased their home in Jefferson, and moved there permanently after Franks retirement in 1981.
Elizabeth had a lifelong love of art and was an avid oil painter, particularly of portraits and seascapes. She loved the White Mountains and chose to spend the last 30 years among them. She was an avid golfer, and a member of the Franklin Country Club in Franklin, MA.
Family members include, her two sons, Franz P. Haase and his wife Louise, of Wolfeboro, NH, Howard C. Herman-Haase and his wife Eileen, of Medford, MA; four grandchildren, Kelly, Jennifer, Franz, and Haylee; three great grandchildren, Morgan, Hunter, and William. She was predeceased by, her husband on January 7, 2002.

Dean E. Walts Jr.
....show , Lancaster Business Man and Community Leader passed away December 21, 2006.
Dean was born April 4th, 1962 in Watertown, NY the son of Dean and Suzanne Walts. Raised in Canton, NY he was a 1980 graduate of Hugh C. Williams High School in Canton. He was an outstanding wrestler at Canton High School and a 1980 Section 10 wrestling champion. Dean was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his camp on the St. Lawrence River, water sports, parasailing and walking on his mountain with his dog, Keon. He also graduated top of class at Ohio Diesel Tech College and was an accomplished black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
He owned and operated Dalton Mountain GMC and Dalton Mountain Motor Sports, a flourishing GMC Dealership and retailer of ATVs, snowmobiles, motorcycles, boats and trailers. Dean was proud of the fact that Dalton Mountain Motor Sports has been named NH Snowmobile Dealer of the Year five consecutive years. He single handedly built both dealerships from the ground up and took pride in the fact the he employed 27 local people who he thought of as family.
Not only was Dean involved with family and friends he was also deeply invested and committed to his community. He was a member of the Lancaster Snow Drifters, Phoenix Group, and the Bombardier Top Gun club. Dean also served on the Lancaster School Board and as an assistant wrestling coach at the White Mountain Regional High School. He was also a former member of the National Dealer council for General Motors, with both dealerships winning extensive awards in overall excellence. Dean also gave generous anonymous donations throughout the community.
Surviving family members include his parents, Dean and Suzanne Walts of Morristown NY and St. George Island, FL; a brother Nicholas, his wife Shelley and their daughter Emiley of Hampton, NH; two sisters, Wendy Falvey of Canton, NY, and her son Christopher of Smyrna, TN; Tracy Elliott of Canton, NY, her husband David and their children Allison, Morgan and Maggie; grandmother Opal Ritchie of Theresa, NY; his business partner and long time friend Lisa Nast, her daughter Stacey and dog Jeeter along with many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Everett and Rose Walts of Evans Mills, NY and his beloved dogs Keon and Tasha.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 1:00 PM, at the White Mountain Regional High School Auditorium, Whitefield, NH. An additional memorial service will be held at a later date in Canton/Morristown, NY, area.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to a local humane society or a charity of your choice.

Harold "Zip" Russell
....show , 94, died Monday afternoon, December 18, 2006, at Morrison Nursing Home, Whitefield.
Mr. Russell was born in Canaan, Vermont, on October 31, 1912, the son of Fletcher Russell and Mattie (Haynes) Bartlett.
Zip was raised in Lancaster and went on to attend business school in Concord. He worked as a night auditor at the Waumbek, in Jefferson, where he met his wife Betty Dodd.
During his lifetime he played minor league baseball, ran the local taxi, worked in New York City assisting the military with life insurance during World War II. He also worked as a subcontractor for the United States Postal Service.
He was predeceased by, his wife, and his brother Keith Russell.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 21, at 11:00 AM, in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.

Barrett W. "Barry" Judson
....show , 80, of Portland Street, died Sunday afternoon, December 17, 2006, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Judson was born in Worcester, MA on September 6, 1926 the son of William and Jennette (Belfore) Judson. He was a graduate of Sutton High School, Sutton, MA.
His wife of 53 years, June E. (Froh) Judson predeceased him in September 2002.
Barry served in the U.S. Navy seeing duty in the Pacific Theater during World War II and also as a medical corpsman temporarily assigned with the U.S. Marines.
He worked as a shipper/receiver for many years at the former Whitin Machine Works in Whitinsville, MA and later at The Casual Male in Shrewsbury, MA. He resided in Whitinsville, MA and Sutton, MA for many years before moving to Lancaster in 1990.
Barry was an active member and Quartermaster of John Weeks Post #3041 VFW in Lancaster. Previously he served as a member of the Northbridge Fire Dept. and Special Officer with the Sutton Police Dept. He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting and fishing and was an avid baseball player and little league coach in his earlier years.
Barrett is survived by, his four children. Thomas Judson and his wife Debra of Sutton, MA, David Judson and his wife Lori of N. Oxford, MA, Janet Wheeler and her husband Robert of Whitinsville, MA and Betty Trudeau and her fiancé Walter Hryzan of Lancaster, NH. He also leaves one brother, Robert Judson and his wife Jean of Sutton, MA, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday evening December 19, from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. Additional visiting hours will be held Thursday, December 21, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville, MA. A funeral service with military honors will be held at 1PM from the funeral home with burial in the South Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, MA.

Emma B. McFarlin

Mrs. McFarlin was born in Monkton, Vermont on August 27, 1916, the daughter of Edward L. and Bertha (Morrill) Stannard.
Emma was raised in Dalton and was a graduate of Dalton High School, where she was active in sports. She worked for a time at Gilman Paper Company before moving to Connecticut where she resided for 16 years and worked for Pratt & Whitney. In 1987 she moved back to Dalton. She was always helping others, active with Meals on Wheels, the Firemans Auxiliary, and the Senior Citizens Center in Gilman, VT.
She was a member of the Dalton Congregational Church.
Family members include a son Harold C. Bowker of Spokane, Washington, four grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by, her husband Forest McFarlin.

Mr. Simonds was born in Saint Johnsbury, VT, on January 23, 1923, the son of James B. and Susan (Hilliard) Simonds.
Hugh was raised in Dalton and was a graduate of Lancaster Academy. He worked as a machinist, in Bath, ME, Springfield, VT and the Gilman Paper Company.
He was members of St. Pauls Episcopal Church.Other memberships include the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2629, Bethlehem, N.A.R.F.E. White Mountain Chapter #1776, Twin Mountain, VFW, American Legion, and was a big supporter of the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Family members include a son, Hugh Andrews of Mooresville, NC, a granddaughter Stephanie, six stepsons, Leo LaFlamme, Edward LaFlamme, Paul LaFlamme, all of Springfield, VT, William Mclain of Charlestown, Raymond Fernandez of Woodbridge, VA, Irving Fernandez, two stepdaughters, Ida Sofrankp and Deloris Fernandez both of Holiday, FL, and 13 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by, his wife Anna Martha (Kukla) Simonds and several brothers and a sister.
