, 21, Route 302, Bethlehem, N.H., died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at the Littleton Regional Hospital as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Littleton, N.H., the son of Robert and Lorie (Zwaagstra) Hayward. He was a graduate of Profile High School, Bethlehem, N.H., and a graduate of Barron Technical Institute. He worked for Elliott Home Construction as a carpenter. He lived at the Bethlehem Flower Farm with his roommates Al Jackson and Brian Jesseman. He had many many friends and touched all with his big heart and generosity. His home was always full of friends and family enjoying life and each other's company. He loved to ski, snowboard, work on his vehicles, install powerful stereos, four-wheeling, rally driving and being a crew leader of grooming on second shift at Bretton Woods. He strove for perfection in everything he did. He prized his family and friends above all else. His passing leaves a void in so many lives. He is and will always be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Rob Hayward Jr. of Sugar Hill, and Lorie Hayward of Alton; a sister, Jerusha Hayward of Alton; his stepfather Mark Bubar, and stepbrother Ryan Bubar of Alton; his paternal grandparents, Robert S. Hayward Sr. of Barre, Mass., and Barbara Serafini of Sugar Hill; his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Colleen Zwaagstra of Bethlehem; his Uncle Paul and Aunt Holly Hayward of Sugar Hill, Uncle Wayne Zwaagstra and Nyoka Cohen of Northfield, Aunt Cheryl Zwaagstra of Bethlehem; and many cousins, relatives and friends from the U.S. and Canada. Friends and family may gather at the Ross Funeral Home, Littleton Chapel, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. There will be a celebration of life at a later date, place and time to be announced.

, 53, of Campton, N.H., formerly of Whitefield, N.H., died suddenly Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, in a motorcycle accident. He was a long-time resident of the Lincoln area. Michael was born June 19, 1952, in Lancaster, N.H. At a young age, he worked with his father and Marro Tree Experts. He continued his career becoming an emergency medical technician in both Whitefield and Woodstock, a ski patrolman for Loon Mountain, a computer technician for his long-time friend Bill Page, and an accomplished private building construction person. Michael was a member of the Plymouth Elks Club. He was not afraid to try new experiences. He owned and worked for several businesses over the years. Michael's passion was hunting. The woods were his church. He loved motorcycles, cars, music and cooking. Best of all he loved being with his family and friends enjoying lively conversation. Michael is survived by his fianc?, Jeanne Estabrook and her two children Miranda and Ken; his former wife, Trisha Marro and their two children Shannon and Patrick; his father, John A. Marro and stepmother Nancy M. Marro of St. Augustine, Fla.; two brothers, Stephen A. Marro of Palm Coast, Fla., and John M. Marro of Woodsville; his sister, Kathleen (Marro) Butterfield of Smyrna, Ga.; stepbrother, Robert McCullen of Whitefield; and stepsister, Jean Schmidt of Boston, Mass. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his mother, Arline (Sargent) Marro. A memorial service is planned for a later date.

, 94, of Newport N.H., formerly of Lisbon, N.H., passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, in the Summer Crest Assisted Living Facility in Newport, following a period of declining health. Donna was born a daughter to Bernie and Leona (Pinckney) Gray on Aug. 20, 1911, in Columbia, N.H. Donna was a graduate of Colebrook Academy, Class of 1929, and of the Concord Business College in Concord, N.H. After graduating, she worked for the Public Service Company of New Hampshire in Colebrook and Lisbon. For many years following, she was employed as a secretary for the superintendent of schools in Lisbon and finished her business career at the White Mountain Supervisory Union 35 in Littleton, retiring in 1973. Donna was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in the Eureka and Iona-Lafayette Chapters, becoming a 50-year member in 1988. She held several offices in the local chapters and in 1952-53, she served as Grand Ester of the New Hampshire Order of the Eastern Star. She was an honorary member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, the New Hampshire Association of Educational Secretaries and the Lisbon Women's Club. She attended the United Church of Christ in Lisbon. During her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends. Her family will remember her generosity and exceptional sewing and knitting skills, as well as her delicious apple pies and chocolate chip cookies. Donna is survived by a daughter, Sally Stoughton of Claremont, N.H.; a son, Taylor Washburn of Portola Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and several nieces. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Harley; in addition to a brother, Wilbur Gray; and a sister, Bettina LaBar. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Colebrook Village Cemetery in Colebrook, N.H., on Sept. 28, 2005. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Lisbon Public Library, School Street, Lisbon, NH 03585.

, 83, of Sugar Hill Road, Lisbon, N.H., passed away suddenly at her residence on Monday, Sept. 26, 2005. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of Roger and Emma (Deinlein) Bennett. She lived for several years in Bangor, Maine, prior to moving to Lisbon over 50 years ago. She served many residents of the area as a housekeeper. She served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Medical Corpsman. She is survived by two sons, Ralph Howland of Springfield, Ill., and Stephen Howland; two daughters, Jeannette Howland of Lisbon, and Lois Constantine of Melrose, Mass.; and one grandchild. Friends may call at the Ross Funeral Home, Lisbon Chapel, on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lyn Winter officiating. Burial will take place in the Grove Hill Cemetery at a later date. , 67, of Riverview, Fla., formerly of St. Johnsbury, Vt., died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at home from cancer. Born in Island Pond, Vt., he moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., in 1989 from Plattsburgh, N.Y., before moving to Riverview in 2003. He was a retired manager/general agent with the Knights of Columbus in Northern New York and southern Florida and Puerto Rico areas from 1974 until 2000. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, St. Petersburg, and St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Valrico, Fla.; the Knights of Columbus since 1966; Elks Club; American Legion; VFW; FICF and LUTC (insurance organizations); and an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose M.; two sons, Neil "Anthony" Meehan Jr. of St. Petersburg, and Craig Davis Meehan of Brandon, Fla.; five daughters, Teresa Ann Wiggins of Riverview, Cynthia Ann Olejnik of Valrico, Elizabeth Rose Haney of Littleton, N.H., and Carynjoy and Buffy Michelle Meehan, both of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Elsie Keltz of Littleton, N.H., and Marjorie Breault of Newport, Vt.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

, of Wilmington, N.C., died Sept. 26, 2005, at Britthaven of Wrightsville Beach, at the age of 70. This was after an extended period of time with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., Feb. 3, 1935. She was adopted by Marion and Alfred Sparrow after her mother died. Elizabeth attended local schools in St. Johnsbury and was active in the school and town bands. She enjoyed crafts, playing the piano and was a wonderful cook. In October 1955, she married Norman H. Emmons. They lived in Danville, Vt.; Chester, Vt.; and Rutland Vt. In October 1980, they moved to Wilmington, N.C., and both retired in the 1990s. They were avid campers since 1968. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Norman H. Emmons; a daughter, Cymbeline Leach and her husband Mark of Wilmington; a granddaughter, Stacie Leach of Wilmington; a brother, Perley Sparrow; a sister, Thea Warren; a half-brother; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at St. Mark Catholic Church, Wilmington, N.C. , 78, a St. Johnsbury resident, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, in Georgia, Vt., following a short battle with cancer. The son of Philip O. and Verna M. (MacDonald) Elliott, Dwayne was born Sept. 20, 1927, in Irasburg, Vt. Dwayne served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and worked as a tree trimmer. He married Eva E. Moore, who predeceased him June 18, 2004. His great-grandchildren were his greatest joy. He also enjoyed yard sailing, scenic drives, hunting, fishing and animals of all kinds. He was a life member of the VFW Post 10038 and American Legion Post 30, both of Lyndonville. Dwayne is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ann Buchanan of St. Johnsbury; a brother, Terry A. Elliott of Georgia; sisters, Lois E. Elliott of Georgia, and Joyce B. Tanner of Milton; a brother-in-law, George Moore of Lyndonville; a sister-in-law, Isabelle Moore of Worcester, Mass.; four grandchildren, Tina Audette and her husband John of St. Johnsbury, Peter Tefoe Jr. of Syracuse, N.Y., Kathleen MacDougall of St. Johnsbury, and Michael Tefoe and his wife Rebecca of Wilmington, N.Y.; four great-grandchildren, Renee and Desmund Audette of St. Johnsbury, and Alexis and Lynzey Tefoe of Wilmington, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Jean Tefoe; a brother, Larry Everett Elliott; and twin brothers, Donald and Ronald Elliott. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m., at the Pearsons Funeral Home, located at 70 Church St., Lyndonville. Interment will be Friday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m., at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph.
