died in Paris, France, on Friday, Aug. 12, 2005. He was 27. Mr. Henry was born in Anchorage, Alaska. He attended schools in Littleton, N.H., and Chugiak, Alaska, and studied at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. After living in San Francisco and later Morocco, he moved to Paris in 1998. There he met Anne-Laure Tonnerre, whom he married the following year in London, where the couple lived until they returned to Paris in 2001. A gifted musician, Mr. Henry began playing the violin at age 5 and studied tabla, classical Indian drums, in San Francisco and London. From 1996 he also produced original electronic music, collaborating with artists in the United States, France, Britain, Ireland and Holland, including Nommo Ogo, Katabatik, SPAZ, 5lowershop, and Kktus Tribe. He was an accomplished sound engineer and toured the French club and festival circuit as a DJ. After reading Farid Ud-Din Attar's sufic allegory "The Conference of the Birds" in 1999, he composed and recorded under the name Psimurgh. A modern mystic, Mr. Henry considered the concept of the psi murgh, literally "thirty birds," fitting for his own "schizoid personality" and belief in "power higher than the human." One reviewer described his music as a "journey into deep remote arctic worlds that can make you feel happy and make you feel sad." Mr. Henry was buried in Paris at the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise. He is survived by his wife, Anne-Laure Henry-Tonnerre of Paris; his mother and stepfather, Pamela and Paul Hennessey of Littleton, N.H.; his father and stepmother, Thomas Henry and Dr. S. Lynn Hornbein of Eagle River, Alaska; two sisters, Sarah Henry of Chicago, Ill., and Kristin Henry of New Haven, Conn.; and his brother, Ethan Hennessey of Cedarville, Ohio.
