Visiting hours will be Sunday between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at Pearsons Funeral Home, located at 70 Church St., Lyndonville. A funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m. at the Lyndonville First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Joan Vincent officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyndon Center Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter Kim and son-in-law Chris Cloutier and their children Dillon and Carson; daughter Heidi and son-in-law Kevin Sanborn and their children Madalyn, Sheldon, James and Evan; daughter Terha and son-in-law Aric Steen and their children Jack and Whit. He is predeceased by his son Wayne and survived by Wayne's children Brandon and Lauren. Ashley is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bernadette Gray, and predeceased by his father, Ashley Gray Sr. He is survived by his sister Gertrude and brother-in-law Ralph Barnes; sister Hazel and brother-in-law Stan Baranowski. Ashley is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eileen and Cyril Hudik; five brothers-in-law and their families; four sisters-in-law and their families. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church in St. Johnsbury on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Lyndon Center Cemetery. , 72, of St. Johnsbury, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2005, in Cabot, at the home of Pastor Jack Baker and his wife, Betty. The daughter of Shirley and Doris (Harris) Lund, she was born Aug. 18, 1932, in Victory, Vt. Ruby married Clarence Priest in April 1950. She was a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, worked as a sales clerk at the Hovey's Shops, loved cats and took pride in tending her flowers. She also enjoyed reading, crossword and other puzzles, and feeding the birds and squirrels. Ruby is survived by her husband, Clarence Sr., of St. Johnsbury Center; a brother, Wayne Lund and his wife Betty of North Concord; a stepbrother, Alton Lund and his his wife Pamela of West Burke; a son, Clarence Priest Jr. and his wife Carol of Waterford; a daughter, Penny Priest of St. Johnsbury; a daughter-in-law, Debra Priest of St. Johnsbury; a granddaughter, Lydia Norway and her husband Jeff of McGuire AFB; grandsons Jason Coons and his wife Kara of Kirby, Michael Priest and his wife Carrie of St. Johnsbury, Sgt. William Flanagan, USMC, and his wife Melanie of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Ben Priest of St. Johnsbury; seven great-grandchildren, Caris, Kortney, Carsyn, Isaiah, Isabelle, Clark and Liley-An. She was predeceased by her parents, and by her son Fred Priest, daughter Deborah Coons, and grandson Jeremy Coons. , 78, of 6502 West Shore Circle, died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., on July 31, 2005. Mr. Landry was born July 24, 1927, in Laconia, N.H., the son of Alfred and Aurora (DeLisle) Landry. He was raised in Laconia and in 1944 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving for two years. Mr. Landry was a member of the Army National Guard for 32 years and retired as command sergeant major in 1984. After returning to New Hampshire he worked for Arthur Sewell and Scott & Williams. In 1963 he moved his family to California where he worked for Sears & Roebuck. Upon returning to Laconia in 1975, he owned Landry's Appliance House for several years. Later he returned to work for Sears & Roebuck, retiring in 1990. He was a member and past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Laconia Post 1670; a member and past Exalted Ruler of the Laconia Lodge of Elks No. 876; a member and past commander of the America Legion, Wilkins-Smith Post No. 1. Mr. Landry was also an active member of the S.M.A.R.T. Group, Florida Buccaneers Chapter. Throughout his life he was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and was proud of his donation of over 30 gallons. Survivors include his wife, Waltraud "Judy" (Fellner) Landry of Tampa, Fla.; three sons, Richard Landry of Belmont, N.H., Jay Landry of Lancaster, N.H., and Joseph Landry Jr. of Belmont, N.H.; four daughters, Cindy Santy and her fiance Bill Nutter, both of Gilford, N.H.; Debra Landry of Laconia, N.H.; Donna Cadrette and her husband Roland of Laconia, N.H.; Tina Lavasseur and her husband Roger of Laconia, N.H.; two stepsons, Leroy Quattlebaum and his wife Linda of Plant City, Fla., Kenneth Quattlebaum and his wife Jackie of Washington, D.C.; three stepdaughters, Sharon Williams and her husband John of Belleair Bluffs, Fla., Victoria Strauss and her husband Martin of Austria and JoAnn Ream and her husband Clark of Newton, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, Kristie Santy of Belmont, Michelle Santy of Sanbornton, Steven Santy of Gilford, Donald Bossey of Florida, Dustin Bossey of Laconia, Cortney Landry of Lancaster and Nicole Levasseur, Justin Landry, Caitlyn Landry and Emmie Landry, all of Laconia; 11 stepgrandchildren; a great-granddaughter, Brianna Baker of Belmont and two step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Broderman of Clearwater, Fla.; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jacqueline (Houle) Landry, in 1997 and by his brother, Joseph Raymond Landry. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Aug. 4, from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, N.H. , age 74, passed away Friday, July 29, 2005, at the VA Medical Center located in White River Junction, Vt. The son of Guy B. and Nina (Amadon) Williamson, he was born May 18, 1931, in Lyndon, Vt. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. He as also a Mason and a Shriner. He was a machinist and foreman for the Vermont Tap & Die for many years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, as well as a former member of the Lyndonville Volunteer Fire Department. He and his wife, Margaret, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 1, 2005. His family was very important in his life, and he will be missed dearly. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; son, Thomas B. Williamson Jr. and fiancee Susan and her daughters Samantha and Sandra; son, Michael J. Williamson, daughter-in-law Cindy and their three children Jennifer, Kaili, Alex and one great-grandson, Ty; three brothers, Charles "Chummy," Robert, and Laurence "Pete"; two sisters, Lucille Mason and Lorraine Baer. He was predeceased by a sister, Louise Peake. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening between 6-8 p.m. at Pearsons Funeral Home, located at 70 Church St., Lyndonville. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Lyndonville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Barbara Dwyer, officiant. Burial will follow at the Lyndon Center Cemetery. , born in Newport, Vt., May 4, 1925, son of Lesley Leach and Gladys Dailey, died comfortably at his home Aug. 1, 2005, at the age of 80. He is survived by his brothers, LeRoy of Westford, Mass., and Gary of Newport; daughters, Diana Laferriere, Jacquelin Reed, Christine Parker and Catherine Beattie; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. After graduating from Newport High School, he attended American International College in Springfield, Mass. He served in the Army Medical Corps from 1946 to 1947. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 21. He enjoyed golfing with his friends, playing guitar and singing. He often played for his friends at the Legion and area nursing homes. A memorial service will be held at the American Legion Newport Post 21 on Aug. 4 at 11 a.m.; burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 21.

, 77, of West Glover, Vt., passed away in Newport on Monday, Aug. 1, 2005. She was born in West Glover on the King farm on June 25, 1928, the daughter of Walter and Doris (Witcher) King. Barbara was a graduate of Barton Academy. After graduating from high school she taught one year at the Beech School during the Depression. She then worked for Dr. Sam Hamilton as a dental assistant. She worked at the Barton bank as a teller, farmed for many years and worked for Currier's Market until she retired in 1993. She was a member of the Maple Leaf Christmas Club, the West Glover Willing Workers, and the West Glover Congregational Church. Barbara enjoyed playing cards with her sisters, swimming, gardening, sports, basketball games, knitting and embroidery. She is survived by her children, Judy Conley and her husband Doug of Glover, Doris Perron of Gainesville, Fla., Bruce Perron and his wife Laurie of Albany, and Marilyn Prue and her husband Duane of Barton; her stepsons, Brian Kinsley and his wife Martha of Orleans, Brent Kinsley and his wife Rona of Irasburg, and Bennett Kinsley and his wife Lynda of Westmore; her brothers, Fredrick King and his wife Catherine of New Hampshire and Donald King and his wife Harriet of West Glover; her sisters, Carolyn Perron of Glover and Sherry Muller of Sheffield; her grandchildren, Claudette Conley, Luke and Danielle Conley, Connie Brigham, Edward and Margaret McQuatters, Megan McQuatters, and Lindsey and Kaitlyn Perron; her stepgrandchildren, Shannon and Bill Bonsignore, Shane and Liz Kinsley, Sara, Dan and Brendon Kinsley, Ian and Miles Blanco; her great-grandchildren, Sarah and Emily McQuatters, and Sage Conley; her step-great-grandchildren, Victoria Bosignore and Eliza Kinsley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Armand Perron, on March 15, 1990; her second husband, Sumner Kinsley on Sept. 26, 1998; her grandson, Joel Perron on Dec. 5, 2002; and her sister, Janice Butler in June 2001. , 82, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin, Vt. Born March 12, 1923, in Compton, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of Eugene and Antoinette (Chapdelaine) Couture. In 1925, he moved with his family to Vermont. He attended the Holy Ghost School in Graniteville, Edmundite Juniorate in Swanton, St. Thomas Preparatory in Bloomfield, Conn., the Seminary of Philosophy in Montreal, Quebec, and St. John Seminary in Boston, Mass. On June 3, 1950, he was ordained to the priesthood at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception by Bishop Edward F. Ryan. He was a member of the largest ordination class, 13, in the history of the diocese. During his priesthood, the Rev. Couture served at St. Anthony's Church in Burlington, St. Paul's Church in Barton, Assumption Church in Canaan, St. John's Church in St. Johnsbury, Holy Cross Church in Morrisville, and St. Andrew's Church in Waterbury. After his retirement, he lived in Burlington for a few years. Since November of 1996, he has resided at Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin. During his active years in the priesthood, he also served as chaplain of the Daughters of Isabella. In his earlier years, he enjoyed skiing, skating, hunting, fishing, and was a respected golfer. Survivors include two sisters, Gisele Fournier of East Barre and Claire LaMoy and her husband Alden of Locust Grove, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by four brothers, Paul Couture, Gerald Couture, Marcel Couture, and John Couture. A Mass of Christian burial will be con-celebrated Monday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. in St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Graniteville. Interment will be in the St. Sylvester Cemetery in Websterville. A time of fellowship will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Barre Town. , 76, of Bloomfield, N.M., passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M. He was born March 2, 1929, to Frank and Hazel McGennis in Lyndon, Vt. He had five sisters and one brother, all deceased. He graduated from Lyndon Institute in Lyndon Center in 1948. On Dec. 24, 1949, he married Marjorie Austin. A son, Armond, was born to them in 1950. Marjorie passed away in 1977. Richard was mainly a truck driver until he became employed at the Fairbanks Morse Scale Manufacturing Co. in 1954. He worked there for 271/2 years, lastly as an inspector in quality control. He took an early retirement in 1981. On July 8, 1978, he became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and married Rena Gilman on July 28, 1978. Both were active in the Christian ministry and traveled to Mississippi and Indiana to work in unassigned territory and then moved to New Mexico. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1994, and slowly decreased his work in the Christian ministry. After being in nursing homes for 21/2 years, he died at the San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. He is survived by his wife, Rena; his son Armond; grandson Christopher and his wife Angela; great-granddaughter Kayla Nicole; eight stepchildren, Pierre and Deborah Demers of Bloomfield, N.M., David Gilman of Twin Falls, Idaho, Delmer and Myalin Gilman of Soda Springs, Idaho, Donald and Linda Gilman, Dale and Pam Gilman of Lyndon Center, Douglas Gilman and Duane and JoAnne Gilman of Lyndonville; plus nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held today, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m. at Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Lyndonville, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m., at the Lyndon Center Cemetery. At the family's request this notice appears again today.
