, 91, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005. She was the beloved wife of Charlemagne Veilleux. Mrs. Veilleux was born in Berlin, New Hampshire, on January 6, 1914. The youngest of eight children of Etienne and Marie Gonthier, she was predeceased by her two sisters and five brothers. She was a wonderful woman, loved by all who knew her. When she was young she worked in the shoe factories of Claremont, New Hampshire, and then later as a photographer's colorist. She was a devoted daughter to her parents. She cared for her mother until she married her husband in 1953 at the age of 39. She was a gifted artist, craftswoman, and seamstress. When first married the couple was poor and in order for her to have a telephone she started baking breads and cakes for sale. She was a devoted Catholic who attended or watched daily Mass, at church and on television. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella for 47 years. In the late seventies she and her husband took over the food concession for the Knights of Columbus Monday night bingo, a benefit for the right to life. They were constant and faithful, every Monday, for 23 years without fail. She loved babies, music, going for rides, photography, and every aspect of life. She loved being a loving wife and mother. She struggled with osteoporosis for many years, and although it was clear she was in pain, she never really let on how difficult her struggle was. Veilleux of Derby and by several nieces and nephews.
