, of Milford, N.H. died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005. He was born in Boston, Mass., May 7, 1980, to Brian Keith and Julia Frugoli. No one quite knew just how wonderful this baby boy would turn out. Nathaniel considered himself "unschooled" for much of his life where he set out to figure the world out on his own. On a whim he decided to apply to Worcester Polytechnic Institute, due only to the fact that he could apply online for free. He was accepted and there he earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering with highest distinction. It is also at WPI where he met Jennifer Burzycki, his best friend, lover and soul mate. Together they formed a bond that death will never break. Nathaniel was the outdoors type, enjoying hiking, camping, mountain biking and kayaking, much of which was done with longtime friend Jimmy Cook. Nathaniel worked as an engineer for the environmental firm of Haley & Aldrich of Manchester, N.H., where he helped live out his dream of making the world a better place. He leaves behind his fiancee, Jennifer Burzycki of Milford, N.H.; parents, Julia A. Frugoli of Central, S.C., and Brian D. Keith of Danville, Vt.; stepparents, Harry Kurtz Jr. of Central, S.C., and Emily Gorham of Kirby, Vt.; sister, Rachael E. Keith of Clemson, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law, David W. Keith and Elizabeth of New Auburn, Minn.; grandparents, William and Donna Frugoli of Marshfield, Mass., William and Barbara Keith of Marshfield, Mass., and Bill Doherty of Duxbury, Mass.; Jennifer's family, Donna Copeland of Barre, Vt., Stanley Burzycki of Montpelier, Vt., and Michael and Sarah Burzycki of Woburn, Mass.; and many loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the South Congregational Church in St. Johnsbury, Saturday, March 5, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Lee Moore officiating. , 41, of 463 South Lunenburg Road, Lunenburg, Vt., formerly of Dover, N.H., died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family, Friday, March 4, 2005, at Weeks Memorial Hospital, Lancaster, N.H., following a courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Born in Dover, N.H. Oct. 14, 1963, he was the son of Roderick R. and Annette (Silver) Bedard Sr. Jim was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas Regional High School, class of 1981, and attended Portsmouth Technical School. For the last 11 years he has resided at his home in Lunenburg with his wife and has been an employee of Stuart Property Management of Littleton, N.H. He was a devoted husband and father and true humanitarian who touched many lives with his love and kindness. A former Boy Scout, he was drawn to Vermont because of his love of mountains, streams, "blue ice," the smell of pine and everything nature had to offer. James was an avid fisherman who looked forward to annual fishing trips with his brother for the last 17 years. Family members include his wife, Cynthia A. (Foye) Bedard of Lunenburg; his mother, Annette L. Cockburn of Dover; his father Roderick R. Bedard Sr. of Somersworth; one son, Anthony J. Bedard and his wife Courtney of Gonic, N.H.; three daughters, Jamie L. Bedard of West Newfield, Maine, Jennifer M. Currier and her husband L. Joseph Currier of Washington, D.C., and Jaclyn M. Foye of Lunenburg; one brother, Roderick R. Bedard Jr. and his wife Ann of Pomfret, Conn., two sisters, Karen Gray of Dover, N.H. and Jane Ann Durfey of Dover; three grandchildren, Cole A. Bedard, Kaylee R. Currier and Joseph J. Currier; his paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Lucia Bedard Heath and Walter Heath of Hillsborough, N.H.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Martha Silver and his paternal grandfather, Russell Bedard. , 87, of French Road, Dalton, N.H. died at her home, Wednesday morning, March 2, 2005, after a recent illness. Mrs. Clarke was born in Campton, N.H., on Aug. 27, 1917, the daughter of Irving J. and Pearl I. (Moses) Silsby. Elinor was a longtime resident of Lunenburg and Dalton. She attended schools in Lunenburg, Vt. and later Lancaster where she graduated from Lancaster Academy. For 33 years she worked for Gilman Paper Company (Georgia Pacific) in Gilman, Vt. She was also the Dalton town treasurer for 14 years. She was a member of the Lunenburg Congregational Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary No. 816, Littleton. Family members include two granddaughters, Doreen Hartshorn of Littleton, Donna Goodhue of St. Johnsbury; six great-grandchildren; and close friend Carol Sheltry of Whitefield. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold W. Clarke, in 1975 and her daughter Harriet Forbush in 1997, whom she missed desperately. Per Elinor's request there are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Riverside Cemetery, South Lunenburg. , 79, of Starr King Park, died Thursday March 3, 2005, at the Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster. Mrs. Crawford was born in Guildhall, Vt., on April 28, 1925, the daughter of Herbert Clayton Gray Sr. and Enid (Cotton) Gray. A lifelong resident of Lancaster, she graduated from Lancaster Academy in 1943. Elsie was devoted to her family and community. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, Lancaster. She volunteered much of her time assisting with church functions and was known for the many wreaths she made at Christmas. She was also a 10-year volunteer at Weeks Memorial Hospital. Family members include three daughters, Sharon A. Davis of Groveton, Sheila J. Bailey of Richmond, Vt., Suzan McGettrick Light of Meredith; her companion Milton Page of Lancaster; four step-children, Barry A. Crawford of Lancaster, Sheila Hicks of Jefferson, Jay Crawford of Pittsburgh, Pa., Claire Senecal of Lancaster; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward McGettrick, and second husband, Everett Crawford. Visiting hours will be held Sunday afternoon and evening, March 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Monday morning, March 7 at 10 a.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster. The Rev. Dr. Thomas W. Bentum, pastor, will officiate. , 76, of Lilac Lane, Littleton, N.H., passed away on March 5, 2005, at Littleton Regional Hospital. Lorena was born on June 13, 1928, a daughter to Wylie Lee and Permelia (Raymond) Tift in Taunton, Mass. She was graduated from Littleton High School. Lorena was employed by the New England Telephone Company until the late 1940s. She married Frank W. Porfido Sr. in 1947 and they had six children. Together they operated the family business, Porfido's Market, on Main Street in Littleton for many years. Lorena was a parishioner of the St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters, and a past Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill of New Hampshire (NAMI-NH). She had one of the first successful kidney transplants in 1966 and continued to counsel potential and existing kidney transplant recipients in the future. Lorena was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and generously gave of herself to care for any and all of her family whenever necessary. Lorena had a deep and endearing faith that kept her going through many years of trials and tribulations. She had a wonderful sense of humor and brought a kindness of spirit to the world around her. She will be deeply missed. Lorena leaves her husband of 58 years, Frank W. Porfido Sr. of Littleton; two sons, Emilio "Rocky" and Ashlea Porfido, and Frank W. Jr. and Julie Porfido, both of Littleton; four daughters, Permelia "Bunni" Lindorff of Manchester, N.H., Carmela "Cami" and Lenny Quail of Littleton, Violet and Bill Hatch of Gorham, N.H., and Lorena "Lori" F. Porfido of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Raymond Tift and Wylie Tift, as well as one granddaughter, Tishara Lindorff Sears, predeceased Lorena. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, March 8, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union St., Littleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 9, at 10:30 a.m., at the St. Rose of Lima Church, with the Rev. Fr. Daniel J. Sinibaldi as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Rose Cemetery. Active pall bearers include grandsons Tyler Quail, Seth Quail, Dylan Chase, Devin Lindorff, Keenan Hatch and Cagney Hatch. , of Whitman, Mass., formerly of South Yarmouth and Arizona, died on Sunday, March 6, 2005, at the Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center in Stoughton. He was 76 years old. Born in St. Albans, Vt., on Aug. 18, 1928, he was the son of the late Edward and Agnes (Pennell) Muldoon. He graduated from St. Anne's Academy in Swanton, Vt., Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vt., and the New York Institute of Photography. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a professional photographer who owned and operated Muldoon Studio in St. Johnsbury, Vt., and Waltham, Mass. He was a member of Rotary International of Waltham, Waltham and Newton-Needham chambers of commerce, Professional Photographers of America, he was a qualified photographer in commercial and business portraits in that organization. He was also a member of Professional Photographers of New England, Professional Photographers of Massachusetts and Commercial Photographers of Massachusetts. He retired from the state of Arizona as the photographer and librarian for the Black Canyon Girls Rehabilitation in Phoenix in 1996. He moved to South Yarmouth in 1997. He enjoyed animals, traveling, music, art and anything technical. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was the husband of Patricia (Cormier) of Whitman; father of Sheila and her husband Peter Kinch of Whitman, and Mary and her husband Richard Laliberty of Georgia; brother of Margaret Malone of Arizona, Dorothy McKee of Pennsylvania, and the late Kathleen Sherman; grandfather of Eric and Andrea Kinch, and Jonathan, Rachael and Julieanna Laliberty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held from the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St. (off Route 18), Whitman, on Thursday, March 10 at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. , 21, of Derby, passed away suddenly in Coventry on Sunday, March 6, 2005. She was born in Newport on Sept. 12, 1983, the daughter of Mark and Lorelei (Beauregard) Lewis. Ashley was a 2001 graduate of North Country Union High School. She was a junior at Lyndon State College, majoring in Recreational Resource Management. She worked for her professor and mentor, Rodney Zwilk, at Lyndon State College on various research projects and was also a part-time employee at The White Market in Lyndonville. Ashley was an avid outdoor and sports enthusiast and she loved spending this time with her family. She is survived by her parents, Mark and Lorelei Lewis of Derby; her brother, Benjamin Lewis of Derby; her grandparents, Mickey and Mona Lewis of Newport, and Roger and Colleen Beauregard of Newport; her great-grandmother, Margaret "Jean" Mackenzie of Derby; her aunts and uncles, Lori and Brian Kelley of Auburn, Maine, Eric and Denice Lewis of West Charleston, Lisa and Todd Presson of Vergennes, and Tim Beauregard of Williston; her aunt Jerry and uncle Bill Wolcott, who were always there for her; numerous great-aunts and -uncles; her best friend, Aimee Hopkins of Lyndonville; several cousins; numerous high school and college friends, and to all that knew her as "Rover"; and her adopted cat "Dude." , of Lyndonville, died at her home Monday evening March 7, 2005, at the age of 91. She was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Morrisville, Vt., the last surviving child of the late Frank G. and Velma (Boise) Duval. Geneva graduated from Lyndon Institute, Class of 1933. On June 16, 1934, she married Arthur C. Taylor. They raised their family in Lyndonville where Geneva worked for over 25 years as a cook and waitress at several area restaurants. Her home was always open to anyone who needed a hot meal or a warm bed for the night. Her family was most important to her. She loved family reunions, cookouts, gatherings of friends and family, and keeping close track of all her grandchildren and their children. She also enjoyed traveling around the Northeast. Survivors include seven children, Waldo Taylor and his wife Alice of Lyndonville, Sandra Meyette of Lyndonville, Robert Taylor and his wife Lee-Ann of Lyndonville, Clair Lyonnais of Florida, Frank Taylor of Lyndonville, Margery (Dee Dee) Switser of Lyndonville, and Stephen Taylor and his wife Judy of Lyndonville; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Margaret Taylor of Lyndonville; a close cousin who was like a sister to Geneva, Ruth Zielinski of Lyndonville; and nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Arthur C. Taylor, on Feb. 25, 1993; a brother, Guy Duval; and two sisters, Isabelle Jedenski and Madeline Way. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2005, at Lyndon Center Cemetery with the Rev. Barbara Dwyer officiating. There will be no calling hours. , 51, of Barton, died peacefully Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 27, 1953, in Barton, a daughter of Ruth (Kennison) Damon and the late Howard Damon. Lorilei graduated from Lake Region Union High School, Class of 1971, and later from Weaver State University, School of Nursing in Utah. She was employed as a registered nurse by the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton. Lorilei loved her work serving people and attending to her family. She also loved to fish. She is survived by her children, Hatteras Hoops of Barton and his companion Mary Hoadley of Newport, Gillian Hoops of Barton and her companion Daniel Boutin of Glover; her mother, Ruth Damon of Barton; three brothers, Terry Damon and his wife Bonnie of Maryland, Pete Damon and his wife Sue of Florida, and Karl Damon and his wife Brenda of Derby Line; a cousin, Elizabeth Cook and her husband Larry of Maryland; her boyfriend, Rick Archambault of Nashua, N.H.; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Nola Damon; and by her father, Howard Damon. of St. Johnsbury passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center. She lived on Main Street over the Jenks Studio. Her husband, Patrick, died April 16, 1982. The Wynnes retired here from New York City. She had been employed by Bank American Note Co. as a printing press operator. She was born in New York City on June 19, 1914, the daughter of Sabastian and Josephine (Poellet) Helfrich. She was a lifelong Yankee fan from the days of Babe Ruth. Her family kiddingly reflects that her health started to deteriorate this year with Boston's big win. She was an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Patricia and James Morgan of Metuchen, N.J., son Joseph Wynne and his wife Maureen of Albuquerque, N.M.; beloved granddaughter Wynne Catherine Morgan of Denver, Colo.; and loving nieces and their families who were always so kind to her. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 14 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial will be in May at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. , 86, of Hardwick, known as the Father of Azaleas, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 8, 1919, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Louis and Eliza (Kruger) Edebohls. He graduated from John Adams High School in Queens, N.Y. On Sept. 29, 1943, he married Blanche Marion Fisher in Burlington. Louis was in the U.S. Army from 1940 until 1945. He served his country throughout Europe and was involved in the invasion of Normandy. He received several medals including a battlefield commission. From 1957 until 1982 he was manager at Mastercraft in Greensboro Bend. He built the first totally enclosed heated sawmill with one continuous floor in the state of Vermont. For years he had a Rhododendron and Azalea Business on the Craftsbury Road in Hardwick. These plants were hardy and able to survive Vermont winters. Survivors include two sons, Robert W. Edebohls of Hardwick and Douglas Fisher and his wife Molly of East Corinth; a brother, Charles Edebohls of Boca Raton, Fla.; three grandchildren, Michael Edebohls of Madison, Wis., Capt. Mark Fisher, stationed in Iraq, and Karen Dresser and her husband Steve, and a great-granddaughter, Bridgett Dresser, all of North Brookfield, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Blanche, in 1999; and a brother, William Edebohls. Funeral services will be held in the spring. died peacefully at his home on Main Street in Lyndonville March 13, 2005, with his long-time companion Lucille Ventres and her family by his side. Doug was born March 23, 1934, in Lyndon Corner, the son of Avon and Eva (Whitehead) Minor. He was predeceased by his wife, Sandra (Daniels; his parents; and his sister, Eldena. Doug leaves three brothers, Cleveland and his wife Vernice of St. Johnsbury, Arkland and his wife Elaine of Readsboro, and Wellman and his wife Lorna of Bristol, Conn.; several nieces and nephews; and aunts, Bessie Whitehead of Granby, Quebec, and Norma (Minor) Walker of Dundas, Ontario. A graduate of Lyndon Institute, Doug served in the Korean War. He was a self-employed painting contractor and a Red Sox fan all his life. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion, a volunteer at the Darling Inn Mealsite and an RSVP member. Doug will be missed in Lyndonville by his many friends, who he greeted daily at his favorite spots around town. An open house will be held at the Darling Inn Mealsite on Main Street in Lyndonville on Wednesday, March 16, from 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Lyndonville Fire Dept., in care of Bonnie Norway at the Lyndonville Savings Bank. He will be buried with military honors at the Woodmont Cemetery in East Burke on Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m.
