, 89, formerly Calais and East Montpelier, died Feb.9.Born in 1910 in New Hampshire, she spend her early life in Elmore where she attended school.She attended Montpelier Seminary.In 1931, she married Leslie Hooper.They made their home in Calais and later in East Montpelier.She was employed at Heaton Hospital and later at Central Vermont Hospital in the nursing profession.Her husband died in 1967.In 1968, she married Raymond Lea and they resided in Worcester.She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Montpelier and attended Shady Rill Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Cecilia Hooper Martin; a step-daughter, Linda Lea Hopkins; a step-son, Gary Lea; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons.
