, 47, of Barre, died Jan.25.Born in 1952 in Newport, he was the son of William and Blanche (Knowles) Naramore.He graduated from North Country Union High School and graduated from the University of Vermont.He was commissioned a second lieutenant through the ROTC program.He graduated from the Vermont State Police Academy and was assigned to the Middlebury Barracks and then at Ferrisburgh.He later was assigned at state police headquarters in Waterbury.He later was assigned to the Middlesex station as Station Commander.From 1997 until retirement in 1999, he commanded the Commercial Vehicle Unit at the VT State Police Headquarters in Waterbury.He was a member of the Vermont National Guard and was company commander and later operations officer of the 1-172 Armor Battalion and the 86th Armored Brigade.He retired as Lieutenant Colonel.In 1976, he married Frances Magnifico.Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ian, Andrew and Seth; two sisters; one brother.
