In 1979, he married Florence Grenier. He was a farmer and later worked in powerline construction. He also had been employed by des Groseilliers Funeral Home in Hardwick and as a night watchman at National Life. After retiring, he worked delivering papers for the Times Argus. He was a member of St. Monica's Church. They had owned and operated Blake's Grocery.
