, 93, formerly of Montpelier, died July 13. Born in 1906 in East Montpelier, she was the daughter of Frank and Gertrude Cutler Cooley. She graduated from Montpelier High School. In 1931, she married Burton Peterson, who died in 1974. She was employed by the Montpelier Public Schools and later became a real estate broker. She was a member of the Montpelier Unitarian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Ann Fitzgerald and Nancy Allen; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She attended Buckingham School and graduated from Smith College. In 1935, she married Benjamin Drew. They lived in Westford, Mass., where she worked as a librarian in the Boston school system. They retired to Vershire in 1973, where she raised apples and Morgan horses. Survivors include two sons, Ben Jr. and G. Westcott; three daughters, Sarah Reeves, Leslie Sullivan and Holly Drew; eight grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

, 83, formerly of Hardwick, died July 16. Born in 1915 in Johnson, he was the son of Dana and Nellie (Shahan) Gilbert. He was married to Mamie Gilbert, who died in 1995. He was a self-employed barber at Camp Pendleton, the Marine Corps base in Calif. and also in Hardwick. He attended St. Norbert's Church in Hardwick. Survivors include a son, Charles; nieces and nephews.

, 80, of Hardwick, died July 10. Born in 1918 in Ludlow, she was the daughter of Byron and Cora May Kendall. She graduated from Enosburg Falls High School and attended the Goddard Seminary School of Hair Styling. In 1942, she married Stanley Homer Fisher, who died in 1978. They moved to Hardwick in 1948 and in 1952, established Fisher's Folly Greenhouse and floral business. They operated the business for more than 24 years. She was a member of the United Church of Hardwick. Survivors include one son, Byron; two daughters, Linda Lee and Susan Warner; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; cousins.

, 62, of Barnard and formerly of Washington, died July 9. Born in 1936 in Washington, he was the son of Ernest and Florence (Pero) Webster. He attended Washington schools. In 1959, he married Leona Ward. He worked in the granite quarries and for his brother Roger Webster, before retiring due to ill health. He served in the Vermont National Guard, was active on the Randolph ambulance crew and was a member of the Barnard Fire Department and was constable for Barnard. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James and William; a daughter, Lindy Webster; two brothers; six sisters; two grandchildren.

In 1944, she married Robert Cole Cross. They had lived in Washington and Chelsea and moved to Hartsville, S.C. in 1984. Her husband died in 1989 and she moved back to Vermont in 1995. She had worked as a waitress, and also as a nurse's aide at the Chelsea Home for the Aged in Chelsea and McFarland House in Barre. She retired in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Terry Howe; a son, Robert; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Stonington and St. Michael's Church in Pawcatuck. In 1943, she married Louis C. Edebohls. She was employed by United Farmers and also was a secretary in the quartermaster's office at Fort Ethan Allen in Colchester and a secretary at the Pentagon. Recently, she was a tax practitioner and helped her husband in their rhododendron and azalea business. She was affiliated with the United Church of Hardwick. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Douglas and Robert; a sister; two step-brothers; a step-sister; three grandchildren.
