She graduated from Spaulding High School. In 1951, she married Herbert Ziter, they moved to Lyndonville in 1966. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Parish. Survivors include her husband; a son, Herbert Jr.; two daughters, Sandra Burnham and Ann Anders; five grandchildren; two sisters.

She attended Woodbury schools and graduated from Hardwick Academy. In 1945, she married Harry D. Lilley Sr. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband; five sons, Harry Jr., Arthur, Kirk, Jon and Gary; two daughters, Cindy Huntsman and Kathy Schafer; a cousin, Ruth Hudon; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Harwood Union High School and from the University of Vermont. She had been employed as a medical technologist for Path Labs in Bedford and Methuen, Mass. She was a member of the Chester Congregational/Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Gaudet; a daughter, Catherine; a son, Noah Jae; her mother; a sister.

Leno Sr. She graduated from the University of Vermont Normal School with a teaching certificate and taught in Warren and Waitsfield schools. She also taught in Mass. She graduated from North Adams State College in 1965 with a bachelor's degree. She retired in 1977. Survivors include a son, Leighton Jr.; a daughter, Beverly Stevens; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Montpelier High School and was employed by the Vermont State Recreation Department during WWII. In 1970, she became vice president and director of Lane Manufacturing Company in Montpelier. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Lane; a brother, Ray F. Daniels.

, 68, of Williamstown, died Aug. 28. Born in 1931 in Vershire, he was the son of Manley and Florence (Reed) Carpenter. In 1956, he married Margaret Cotter, who died in 1963. In 1967, he married Edna Chambers. He worked on several farms with his father, with L.B. Bowen of No. Tunbridge and on the construction of Interstate 89. He also worked at the Heal Factory in Wilder and at Jones Granite shed in Barre, becoming disabled in 1972. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife; a son, Eric; a daughter, Cora Benoir; two brothers; two sisters; two grandsons.

He attended Barre schools and graduated from Spaulding High School and the University of Illinois. He joined McAllister and Kent Insurance Agency in Barre, which later became Berg, Carmolli and Kent Insurance Agency. He was a member of St. Monica's Church. In 1936, he married Shirley Hanson, who died in 1984. In 1987, he married Eleanor Diack. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sandra Fitzgerald, Nan Parker and Wendy Gibson; two sons, Nick and Gino Terry; a stepson, Vernon Dyke; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

He operated at farm and worked for the Town of Plainfield and later for the Town of Orange as road commissioner and for the Town of Barre Highway Department. He worked for Green Mountain boring until retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Plainfield. Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Kinney and Beverly Burbank; one son, Robert; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a sister; two cousins; nieces and nephews.

In 1966, he married Kathryn Barber, who died in 1992. He worked as an auto mechanic and later owned a service station and most recently owned the Blue Sunoco Station on the Barre-Montpelier Road. He retired in 1972. He had served with the Army during WWII. Survivors include a son, Brian; a brother; four sisters.

In 1941, he married Bertha Bapp. He worked with the CCC building ski trails at Mad River Glen Ski Area and was later employed by J&L Machining Co. in Springfield. He worked for General Electric Co. in Burlington and for the Vermont State Highway Department. He attended the United Church of Colchester and was a former member of the United Church of Westford. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Donald Foster; a sister, Irma Farnham.
