, 75, formerly of Barre, died Feb. 15. Born in 1923 in Barre, she was the daughter of Charles and Julia (Blodgett) Cole. She attended Dean Junior College and graduated from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Boston. She has lived in Bolton, Conn. since 1963 and was a registered nurse, retiring in 1994. She was a member of South United Methodist Church in Manchester, Conn. Survivors include two sons, Bruce and Charles; four grandchildren; a step-grandchild; two sisters; nieces and nephews.

, 88, formerly of Greensboro, died Feb. 15. Born in 1910 in Greensboro, she was the daughter of Carl and Bernice (Aldrich) Philbrook. She was raised on the family farm in Greensboro and was educated in Greensboro public schools. In 1927, she married Albian Almont Tate, who died in 1993. They owned and operated the Philbrook Farm in Greensboro until the late 1960s. They moved to Barton in 1982. Survivors include her six daughters, Ruth Hanson; Kathleen Van Sant; Joyce White; Genevieve Jewett; Gail Dansereau and Carlotta Tate; a brother; 15 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

, 77, formerly of Montpelier, died Jan. 31. Born in 1931 in Montpelier, he was the son of Frederick and Cora (Abare) Prevost. He attended St. Michael's Grade School and graduated from St. Michael's High School. He served in the Army during WWII, the Korean War and later in Japan, retiring in 1963. After retirement from the military, he was a probation officer for the state of Vermont. He most recently lived in Lavista, Neb. Survivors include his wife, Marion; five daughters, Laurie Prevost, Janice Prevost, Carrie Prevost, Claudia Prevost and Lisa Prevost; a son, Albert Jr.; three nieces; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a wife, Janice Prevost.

, 73, of East Randolph, died Feb. 17. Born in 1926 in Randolph, she was the daughter of Harold and Grace (Tatro) Farr. She attended Randolph schools and graduated from Randolph High School. She attended the Franklin School in Boston, Mass., graduating as a lab and X-ray technician. She returned to Randolph and worked at Gifford Memorial Hospital. In 1946, she married Robert Race. They took over the operation of his father's store in East Randolph, retiring in 1972. Survivors include her husband; two sons, David and John; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

He worked for several granite trucking firms while living in Vermont. , 87, of Barre, died Feb. 15. Born in 1911 in South Barre, he was the son of Richard and Susie (George) Lawliss. He attended South Barre schools and graduated from Spaulding High School. In 1934, he married Nellie Mecheli. He was a regular fireman in the Barre Fire Department and a bookkeeper at Jackson Dairy in Barre. He was also employed as internal auditor in the treasurer's office of the State of Vermont, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Hedding Methodist Church of Barre. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Claire Wilcox; two sons, Donald and William; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters; nieces and nephews.

, 86, formerly of Brattleboro and more recently of the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center, died Feb. 12. Born in 1912 in Cohassett, Mass., she was the daughter of Edward and Clara (Nott) Brown. She was educated in Waltham, Mass. In 1940, she married Raymond Nunan, who died in 1953. She moved to Brattleboro to manage the Frances Store, a ladies' apparel store. In 1958, she married Glen Orne, who died in 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Nunan McGuckin; two granddaughters; a cousin; a half-brother.

She attended Montpelier schools and graduated from Montpelier High School. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a doctor of philosophy degree. She received a bachelor of nursing degree from Yale University School of Nursing. In 1932, she married Dr. Benjamin F. Clark. She was a staff nurse for the Henry Street Visiting Nurse Association in New York City and became an office nurse for her husband's practice in St. Johnsbury. She also worked at the Caledonia Home Health Care Agency in St. Johnsbury and for the VNA Hospice in Vero Beach, Fla. She was a member of the Methodist church in St. Johnsbury and Vero Beach, Fla. Survivors include two sons, Daniel Clark and Dr. Stephen Clark; a daughter, Jane Valentine; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter.

The family moved to Middlesex when she was a child and she attended Montpelier schools. She lived in Waterbury all of her adult life and resided in Gifford Elder Care Center in Randolph Center for the past 10 years. Survivors include a sister, Violet Holmes and cousins.

In 1938, he married Thelma Bowen, who died in 1990. He operated a dairy farm in West Brookfield and in 1958, took over his father's business, Battles Garage, retiring in 1987. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kenneth and Vaughn; two daughters, Sandra Clark and Brenda (Mrs. Art) Bashaw; a sister; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

Born in 1914 in Barre, she was the daughter of Harlan and Lillian (Byer) Storrs Sr. She attended Barre schools and graduated from Spaulding High School and from the business program at Goddard Seminary. She married Lester MacDonald and after his death, she moved to Glastonbury, Conn. She later became a resident of the Simoneau Rest Home and then Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin. She was a secretary for the engineering department of United Aircraft in East Hartford, Conn., before her retirement. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Glastonbury (Conn.). Survivors include a son, Bruce; a brother, Harlan Storrs Jr.; a grandson, Jeffrey MacDonald; several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. She was a member of the Baptist Fellowship of Randolph.
