, 60, of Wolcott, died Dec. 21. Born in 1939 in Providence, R.I., he was the son of Raymond and Marian (Coogan) Conn Jr. The family moved to New London, Conn., where he completed his schooling. He served as a Merchant Marine and attended the University of Connecticut. In 1968, he married Jane Berger and in 1995, he married Barbara Gunn. He was a civil engineer, working for a number of construction firms throughout Vermont and New England. Survivors include his wife; his mother; one son, Ira; two daughters, Jesse and Caitlin; two step-sons, Ian and Tristan Murphy; five sisters; two brothers; many nieces and nephews.

, 82, of Hardwick, died Dec. 25. Born in 1917 in Woodbury, she was the daughter of Carl and Linora (Colby) Thomas. She graduated from Hardwick Academy and Burlington Business College. In 1940, she married Francis Travers, who died in 1992. She was employed at the Franklin County Bank in Hyde park, the Hardwick Trust Co. and later Merchant's Bank. She also was bookkeeper in the family business, Hardwick Auto Supply and more recently worked at McFeeters General Store in East Hardwick until it closed in the early 1990s. She was a member of the United Church of Hardwick. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Andrews, Beverly Gilbert and Becky Travers; a sister; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

, 38, of Waterbury, died Dec. 25. Born in 1961 in Montpelier, he was the son of Donald and Patricia (Donahue) LaRock. He attended the Green Mountain School in Montpelier and was a graduate of Spaulding High School. He was employed at the Holiday Inn in Waterbury and had been involved in the Vermont Special Olympics. His memberships included the Waterbury Village Fire Department and St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Survivors include his parents; a brother and his wife, Michael and Diane; four nephews, Matthew, Stephen, Christopher and Tyler.

, 76, of Hardwick, died Dec. 25. Born in 1923 in Hardwick, she was the daughter of Reed and Glenna (Bailey) Hopkins. She graduated from Hardwick Academy and attended Johnson Normal School. She received a bachelor's degree in education from Goddard College. In 1944, she married Bernard H. Perry, who died in 1997. She was a teacher in the Cobb School District, Albany Village School and Hardwick Elementary School, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the United Church of Hardwick. Survivors include a son, David; two daughters, Diann Ross and Susan Limoge; a brother; a sister; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

He worked for the Allen Lumber Company in Barre, retiring in 1997. In 1948, he married Olive Cochran. He had been affiliated with the First Presbyterian Church of Barre. He worked as a janitor for NAPA in Minn., and at Randolph High School. He was a machine operator at Fyles and Rice in Bethel, a gluing machine operator at Branchwood in Randolph and a furniture repairman at Ethan Allen furniture. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Linda Horton, Mary Blanchard, Charlotte Holmquist and Paula Davis; seven grandchildren.

She was employed at Rock of Ages and in 1941, married Lt. Marinus van Kleef Jr. She traveled in the states with her husband and later worked for the Department of Social Welfare and as dispatcher for the State Police in Middlesex, retiring in 1976. In 1959, she married M/SGT Arthur R. Greenleaf, who died in 1979. She was a member of the Berlin Congregational Church. Survivors include a nephew, Dr. Eugene Brunelle; two grandnieces and a grandnephew.
