, 83, of Barre Town, died Oct. 17. Born in 1916 in Montpelier, she was the daughter of Louis and Obeline (Letourneau) Gingras. She graduated from St. Michael's High School and in 1936, married Clifford R. Jarvis. She and her husband were co-owners of the Jarvis Bake Shop until retirement in 1974. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Elizabeth Severance, Celia Wilkin and Jane Mitchell; one son, Thomas; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; nieces and nephews.

Born in 1934 in Philadelphia, Pa., he attended Harvard University and received a master's degree in divinity and social work from the Union Theological Seminary and Columbia University. He taught at Milton Academy in Milton, Mass., Dartmouth College and Thetford Elementary School. He was a pastor for the Northeast Association of the United Church of Christ and psychotherapist in the Craftsbury area. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline (Griswold) Lingelbach; his father and stepmother, William and Alice Lingelbach; three sons, John, Lee and Bruce; a daughter, Caroline Lingelbach; a brother; a sister; seven grandchildren.

, 83, of Northfield, died Oct. 14. Born in 1916 in New York City, she was the daughter of Justin and Mary (Deuel) Loeber. She attended the schools of White Plains, N.Y., graduating from White Plains High School. In 1939, she married John T. Evans Jr. She had worked in the Office of Public Relations at the Drew Theological Seminary, where her husband studied for his Divinity Degree. She was employed at Morse's Department Store prior to its closing. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Priscilla Addis, Nancy Shiok and Gwendolyn Nyden; two sons, Peter and David; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother.

, 65, formerly of Stannard, died Oct. 17. Born in 1934 in Stannard, he was the son of Adolphus and Gertrude (Colba) Gonyaw. He was a self-employed logger in Connecticut before moving to Vermont in 1983. Survivors include one daughter, Jean Sutton; two brothers; three sisters.

, 91, from Greensboro and formerly from Hardwick, died Oct. 20. Born in 1908 in Hardwick, he was the son of Mario and Antonietta (Bardelli) Ambrosini. He graduated from Hardwick Academy and attended the University of Vermont and graduated from the Bentley School of Accounting in Boston. In 1936, he married Helen Love Ramage. They lived in Hardwick moving to Greensboro in the late 1970s. He was employed by his father at the MG. Ambrosini and Co. granite business and later as accountant at Jones and Lamson Machine Co. Inc., Glen Slayton Lumber Co., Anair Granite Co. and Vermont Salvage Co. From 1967 until retirement in 1975, he was employed by the Village of Hardwick as accountant for the electric, water, sewer and general departments. Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.

, 64, of East Montpelier, died Oct. 18. Born in 1935 in Middlebury, she was the daughter of Leslie and Dorothy Guy. She attended Middlebury High School and Becker College in Worcester, Mass. She received a paralegal degree from Woodbury College. In 1960, she married William G. Joy. She had been a medical secretary at Mary Fletcher Hospital, worked at the probate court in Montpelier, Ryan and Ryan Attorneys at Law, Rice and Knosher Attorneys at Law and for the Public Service Board, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Montpelier. Survivors include two sons, Mark and Mathew; her longtime companion, Ken Moulton; a brother; a foster brother.

Marceau, who died in 1989. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Monica Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Demers and Mrs. Lorraine Rancourt; a son, Roger; two sisters; one brother; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include a brother, Ernest Nichols; two sisters, Eleanor Roberts and Amy Button; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He had worked in the granite industry and Barre Coal Company. In 1941, he joined the Barre City Fire Department. He retired in 1976 as chief. In 1934, he married Mea LeMay, who died in 1994. He was a member of the St. Monica Church. Survivors include two sons, Eugene and George; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother; nieces and nephews.

She retired in 1986. She was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include two cousins, Clare McMahon and Margaret McGuire.

He earned a masters degree from Harvard College School of Applied Science. He served with the Navy during WWII and the Korean conflict, retiring from the Navy Reserves. In 1946, he married Dorothy Ripley. He was a civil engineer with Weston and Sampson Engineering. In 1957, he moved to Vermont, retiring from the Vt. Dept. of Water Resources in 1981. He was a member of the Christ Church in Montpelier. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia White and Elizabeth Balkcom; one son, Harold Albert; two brothers; seven grandchildren.

In 1946, he married Helen LaPoint. He was a truck driver for Ray Churchill Granite Trucking Co. and Pouliot and Carriveau Trucking Co. and operated the Williamstown Salvage Yard. He was a member of the Williamstown United Federated Church. Royalton High School and the Vermont School of Agriculture. In 1938, he married Doris Maxham, who died in 1984. In 1985, he married Ethel (Pope) Moulton. He ran the family farm, retiring in 1975 and becoming a sales representative for Rawleigh, and Knapp and Mason shoes. He was a member of the Beth-El Christian Fellowship Church in So. Royalton. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Winnie Howe; two sons, Gary and Stephen; a stepson, John Moulton; a brother; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren.
