, 82, formerly of St. Johnsbury and more recently of Lincoln House in Barre, died Oct. 2. Born in 1916 in Chelsea, she was the daughter of Ray and Liva (Bixby) Dearborn. She attended schools in Ely and Fairlee and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy. She later attended Russell Sage College in Troy, N.Y. In 1939, she married Wesley Calderwood. She assisted her husband in the operation of the Calderwood Memorial Funeral Home. He died in 1980. She was a member of the South Congregational Church in St. Johnsbury. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela; one son, David; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He served with the Air Force and was appointed to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1949. He retired from employment as an electronics technician with the U. S. government. Survivors include his wife, Charlene (Wilson) Carri; two sons, David and Keith; a daughter, Toni Aikin; a brother; a sister; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters.

, 85, of Duxbury, died Oct. 8. Born in 1913 in Bolton, he was the son of Bert and Delphine (Deforge) May. He attended schools in Bolton and in 1946, married Phylis Wheeler. He served in the Army during WWII. He was employed at Plant and Griffith Lumber Mill in Jonesville and later as a custodian for the P&C Grocery Store and Grand Union grocery store in Waterbury. He retired in 1992. Survivors include his wife; a son, Homer; four daughters, Diane Corse, Pamela Forkey, Cathy May and Brenda Raymond; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; nieces and nephews.

He attended Williamstown Elementary School and graduated from Williamstown High School. He served in the Air Force and had worked for Bombardier Transit Corp. since 1987. In 1997, he married Lori Mattson. He was a member of Cross Roads Christian Church. She had worked in Porteous Department Store in Maine, and later at Wallingford Country Club and the Yankee Silversmith Inn in Conn. She moved to Williamstown in 1980. Survivors include a daughter, Sandee Flood; a sister; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

, 86, of Barre, died Oct. 4. Born in 1912 in Montpelier, she was the daughter of Carlo and Carolina (Abbiati) Bianchi. In 1940, she married Edmund Comolli. She and her husband were co-owners with Idelmo and Esther Savoia of the Comolli and Savoia Market in Barre. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Jewett, Barbara Cormier and Carolyn Price; one son, Rodney; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and many friends.

She worked as a merchandiser for American Greetings for many years. She was a member of Heart of Mary Church and St. Pius XRoman Catholic Church in Essex. He worked on his parents' farm in Stannard as a young man and at Noyes Garage in Greensboro and later at Slayton's Garage in Hardwick. He retired in 1987. Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald; two daughters, Patricia and Constance; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He attended Methewson School in Barre, Williamstown Elementary School and Williamstown High School. He served with the Navy during WWII. He had worked at the E.L. Smith Quarry in Graniteville and in 1967, began employment with the State of Vermont in the Department of Social Welfare and also for the Motor Vehicle Department, retiring in 1983. In 1943, he married Bernice Flint. He was a member of the Graniteville Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dr. David Corliss; a daughter, Margaret Corliss Begun; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter.

She had been a substitute teacher and she and her husband ran a roadside fruit and vegetable stand. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Jane Staudt; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

, 91, of Randolph, died Oct. 12. Born in 1907 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of John and Ida (Johnson) Linden. She graduated from Women's Commercial High School and attended Hunter College in N.Y. She had worked for the Farm Journal and later for Frank Presby and the Newell Emmett Advertising Agency. In 1930, she married Henry Balgooyen, who died in 1994. They had lived in N.Y. Mrs. Balgooyen moved to Randolph to be near her daughter. Survivors include her daughter, Marjorie Drysdale; a son, Bruce; a brother; a sister; four grandchildren, whom she adopted when their mother became ill, Joseph, Mark and Eric Wilkinson and Stefanie Morris; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

, 76, of Waterbury, died Oct. 10. Born in 1921 in Newport, she was the daughter of Daniel and Mini (Laviene) Coburn. She was educated in public schools in northern Vermont before she moved to the Brandon Training School. She began working at the Washington County Sanitarium in Barre and then moved back to Brandon in 1946. In 1969, she moved to the DeCofte Community Care Home in Ferrisburg and in 1980, to the Vermont State Hospital. She had lived independently under the support and care of Resources for Community Living of Moretown. Most recently she had lived with Nancy and the late George Kraatz in Waterbury. Survivors include a sister, Julia Coburn; her guardian, Bethany Knight; her caregiver, Nancy Kraatz.
