He worked for the IBM Corp. in Raleigh, N.C., retiring in 1978. He had lived in East Calais with his daughter, since June. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dianne tanner; Deborah Haskins; three step-daughters, Molly Comeau, Patricia Helfrich and Susan Bacon; a stepson, Steven Strata; three grandchildren; three great-grandsons; nieces and nephews.

, 97, of Bethel, died Aug. 31. Born in 1900 in Quebec, he was the son of Ezak and Cecelia LaChance. He attended schools in Canada, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He served in the U.S. Calvalry during WWI. In 1922, he married Doris Oliver, who died in 1976. Survivors include a daughter, Cecelia Cyr; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

She later attended the former Barre City Hospital School of Nursing. She was a licensed practical nurse at the former Heaton Hospital and McFarland House. She also did private duty nursing. She later worked as a crossing guard and parking meter maid for the City of Barre. She was first married to George Andrus, they divorced. In 1957, she married Clarence Kink Kiser, who died in 1969. She was a member of Hedding United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Sally and Marilyn; a son, Robert; a stepson, Perry Kiser; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; nieces and nephews.

He attended Randolph Village School and was a member of Linda Gaidys' third grade class. He was outgoing, very artistic and loved drawing, painting and rock collecting. He also enjoyed gardening. Rene Marie was born in 1993 also in Mass., and was the daughter of Michael and S. Elvira (Espinoza) Blancard. She attended the Randolph Montessori School and was a member of Carmen VandeGriek's class. She enjoyed dolls, playing dress-up and putting on make-up. She also enjoyed gardening. Survivors include their father; paternal grandparents, Mary Lee Dumas and Kenneth Blancard; maternal grandparents, Jose and Herminia Espinoza; a maternal great-grandmother; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Nelsons moved to St. Petersburg, FL, where she was a ward clerk at the Palms of Pasadena Hospital. She retired in 1980. Survivors include a sister, Maxine Duffey; an uncle; nieces and nephews.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He owned and operated Sanborn's Amoco Service Station in Morrisville and was more recently employed by Walker Imports in Barre. He was a clerk at the Vermont State Liquor Store, retiring in 1968. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Enzo Ferrari; several nieces and nephews.

, 87, of Northfield Falls, died Sept. 6. Born in 1909 in Northfield, he was the son of Ray and Anna (Grover) Hazelton. He graduated from Northfield High School and was a member of the Army National Guard. During WWII, he was an aircraft mechanic for the Navy. He worked for the Farnham automobile dealership in Barre and Montpelier and for Bean Chevrolet in Northfield. He later operated his own machine shop in Northfield, known as the P&H Shop. He retired in the mid-1970s. Survivors include a son, Peter; a daughter, Bonnie (Mrs. Christopher) Oakman; a sister; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
